Creekside Kennel

I am a huge fan of Creekside Kennel. I have boarded my dog Bella there several times over the last two years. She is a Shiba Inu. Its clear she is loved there. Every visit Bella excitedly jumps out of my car and runs to the kennel. Also, Dawn is very knowledgeable about dogs & always shares valuable information about Bella and her breed. I always have Bella bathed during her stays. They do a spectacular job grooming her and she leaves looking beautiful!

Kala enjoys her stays at Creekside. She runs right past me to go visit her friends. Not even a bye from her. Being nervous parents we appreciate the texts and pics that we receive from Dawn. I know that she is having a blast because when we pick her up after her stay she is exhausted and sleeps all the way home. Happy four legged child and happy parents. Thanks Dawn

3 letters….WOW!Dawn is amazing with her handling of my 2 boys, Jonah & Jordan. My boys have high energy and when leaving Dawn, they are exhausted beyond belief!!I have added “Dawn’s Camp” to my vocabulary, which motivates my boys to respond to my commands!!!!!

A friend of ours recommended Creekside Kennels when our usual boarding place was booked. Dawn was quick to get back to me, she was friendly and very interested in learning all about our pups and their needs. We have used them twice in the last few months and are beyond pleased with their care and attention to detail! Highly recommend!

We are from out town and had never left our puppy at a kennel so I wasnt sure what to expect. When we arrived at out appointed time the owner met us and showed us the facilities . The set up is great with individual grassy run -outs side by side with other dogs. The dogs could interact with each other but not get at each other thru the chain link fence. When we drove back in we could see another kennel worker sitting with our pup petting him. I was impressed with the set up ,the cleanliness ,and friendly staff. Wish Creekside kennel was 11 hours closer. We would use them all the time.

My entire experience with Dawn at Creekside Kennels was fantastic! I brought my cat there and she was quick to check us in because he was stressed from the car ride. She provided him with a special bed, high quality food and lots of attention. Hes never come home from camp so happy before. Hes been talking our ears off and being especially affectionate. Thanks, Dawn for all you do! I would highly recommend Creekside Kennels.

Staff is so friendly, thoughtful, thorough, and knowledgeable! We were informed by Dawn that our pup Kiwi’s knee clicks when massaged - something she found during the groom that we had never noticed. We mentioned it to the vet who diagnosed Kiwi with “luxated patellas” - the joints didn’t form properly, in Kiwi’s case, a genetic defect. She’s now on a joint supplement and it will be monitored. This level of care and compassion is priceless!!!! We will most certainly bring Kiwi back for more fun 💗🐾

Both of my rescues do so well at Creekside! Each of my dogs have their own quirks that make staying at an average boarding facility unrealistic. Dawn is so good with the dogs and the facility is such an amazing set up. It is so difficult to not only find a facility that will board behavioral dogs but also a facility where you can truly trust your dog is getting the best care. The staff at Creekside are so incredible. Without a doubt, bring your dog here if you are lucky enough to get a spot! They have high demand! Nothing but good things to say about Dawn and staff at Creekside!!

We’ve been boarding our dogs at Creekside for a decade or more. The facility is clean and bright. Dawn is amazing—our pups love her so much they can’t wait to get out of the car when we pull up!

I have known Dawn, owner of Creekside Kennels, for over 13 years now. She has never been anything but professional, devoted to the pets in her care and knowledgeable about the individual pets and their specific needs. Since she has taken in orphan dogs as part of Animal Annex of Rensselaer County., she has given the same quality care to those dogs as she gives to boarding dogs. She works tirelessly to find just the right home for these dogs. Many successful adoptions have taken place because of Dawn and her expert instincts for the right fit.

Dawn is awesome! I can keep going on. She knows what she is doing. My Hamlet is a French mastiff that is so close to our family that It kills me when we go away that we cant take him. My first time leaving him was so hard on me that Dawn took it upon herself to send me pics via text while we were away to put me at ease. She cares for all the animals she watches over. The cats have a 5 star accommodation, as well as the dogs. She is just awesome. If you need a kennel look no more. I can keep going on so Ill end it with Dawn puts the animals first and Dawn is just Awesome!!!

I am super grateful that I stumbled upon this gem! My Coco absolutely LOVED her stay there. The owner, Dawn, is very attentive, caring and informative. She definitely knows her stuff and loves what she does.

Dawn and staff are amazing with our German Shepherd! He has fear aggression but not at Creekside. It’s like a second home for him. Dawns facility is set up perfectly to handle him and keep him separate, not that it’s needed anymore. A bit pricey compared to other kennels, but worth every penny and worth the 20 minute drive for us!

Dawn goes above and beyond all of the other pet boarding places I’ve taken my dogs and cats to over the years. I think Ford and Aphra had a better vacation than I did! Clean, spacious facility and incredible care and attention for your precious pets.

Our cocker spaniel was so happy this morning when I picked her up after a weekend at Creekside Kennel with Dawn. My dog did not want to leave! I really appreciated the care that Dawn gave her and I would absolutely take her back there anytime I need boarding.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I was so nervous about boarding my dogs for the first time, but judging how tired they were when I brought them home, it was clear they had a great time, and were VERY WELL taken care of! My parents also use Creekside Kennel as their go-to place, and when one of their dogs became extremely ill after they left for vacation (pre-existing condition that was unknown at the time (Addisons disease)), Dawn went above and beyond traveling from Bennington VT, to the Emergency vet in Latham to make sure she got the care she needed. I truly believe that her dedication is the reason their dog is still alive today! In my opinion, Creekside Kennel is worth every penny to know my pups are safe while Im away!

I started bringing my German Shepherds to Creekside decades ago. They had plenty of room to run around and stretch & play, all day. They came home tired & happy. Now our little Pug can’t wait to meet other little dogs, Dawn & snacks! Great place, best boarding in Rensselaer County!

My husband and I have been using this kennel for our dogs for about a year now whenever we need to go out of town. They’ve been wonderful and always super accommodating. The dogs love it, and Dawn is always very friendly and helpful! Would recommend to anyone with pups in the area.

As a protective Fur Mom, I hate being away from my babies. However, I trust Dawn’s expertise and knowledge and know my Fur Babies will be safe and comfortable when at Doggie Camp. Dawn and her staff are caring and accommodating. My crazy Boxers run into the facility willingly, and with enthusiasm, which tells me they are happy to be at Creekside! ❤️🐾

I leave my dog at Creekside every time I go on vacation. It is truly most akin to leaving your child at camp. It is very clearly a safe, conscientious, and fun place to board an animal. Upon pickup, it is easy to see that the staff feels time spent with an individual animal a very important part of their job. I am a proud Camp Creekside member and my dog a happy Creekside camper!

We have been bringing our dogs here for years! When we drive up, they run to the door. Dawn is the owner and is personally involved with all the dogs who come in. Stephanie pets them, loves them, and gives them many exercise times throughout the day. The fenced areas where they run are large, and they receive lots of play time. The food is salmon. Everything we could ask for. It is a home-away-from-home!

They state they have a cancellation requirement of 14 days which wasn’t made clear to me prior to booking on their website or in communication with Dawn. Dawn was very rude in refusing to give back the entire payment for boarding even one week out due to change of our plans. I would never have considered this place if that was made clear to me. No wonder they were available in the middle of the summer. Rude and not customer friendly business. Avoid.

Boarded our Dogs Dixie and Rizzo at Creekside for the first time. Dawn was awesome with them, and Creekside will be our first choice going forward.

I boarded both my dog and cat at this kennel. They were well taken care of. Dawn us very knowledgeable and I would certainly use her kennel again.

Our dog Hazel stayed here back in May and Dawn was great, the place is clean and catered to Hazels needs. Hazel is a rescue (I notice a previous review from Eddie L which is completely false), shes a Husky German Shepard mix and is very energetic as well as being an escape artist, Dawn was able to take this into consideration and provide ample boarding and stimulation for her. We also got her groomed here so as well as being greatly taken care of she also came out smelling and looking amazing! I wouldnt take Hazel anywhere but here!Edit:Wanted to also add that I was initially nervous about boarding Hazel as it was the first time I had to and Dawn would send me daily updates on how she was getting on which I really appreciated.

This is the best place to leave a pet when you are out of town! They care for your pet as if it were their own. Always accommodating! Very knowledgeable about how to make your pet comfortable and you, and your pet, feel confident that they will be well cared for.

Dawn is great! Trust her completely with my furbs. Great communication and awesome set up.

Contacted to book dog for overnight stay. No phone contacts just emails. Didnt know all was set til several messages left. Today we attempted to drop off dog and leave for vacation. Lost trying to find kennel, called owner only to get answer machine. Found kennel, only to see kennel gate closed. Waited 15 - 20 minutes for owner to respond when we might be able leave dog. Finally Owner response was rude, not accommodating, saying we would have to wait til 445 or tomorrow! We had to cancel our Boston reservationwith no where to leave our dog.It seems dogs are left unattended from 9am to 4 or 5 pm during day, at this kennel.We were surprised by owner response to help us in the face of a mistake in finding kennel or having a problem that day...Not a good business practice

Dawn and her team are amazing! I never second guessed putting our dog under their care for the weekend while we got married. Lexi definitely had a great time.

A husky showed up at our door with a rope embedded in her throat, they took her and addressed her wound. A couple months later they called to tell us she was adopted. She NEEDED professional wound care and we had 2 dogs already. They do charge for everything but your dog WILL be taken care of.
