I highly recommend! Amazing experience from beginning to end for myself and Louie my fur baby! The location is beautiful and clean. Jay is such a sweet and personable individual. Followed up with me and booked Louie even though the schedule was full. They are so patient, loving and kind. They really care about the fur babies here. I was texted throughout his experience with updates and his grooming was executed flawlessly! Louie loved Felicia; gave her kisses before she passed him to me. ❤️ This place is amazing!

We visited Shagget Pet Grooming today for the very first time. From our first phone call, speaking with Jay we knew this was the place for our pup Latte. We showed up to our appointment and were greeted by Jay and Philicia. Latte took to them immediately and her comfort level was amazing!! Right off the bat we knew they were kind, Caring, knowledgeable, and so very patient. Latte came out beautiful, and looks like the Yorkie she is! She has never come out as clean and perfect as she did today! They were able to do things such as teeth brushing and nail trimming when no one including us could ever do!! Latte had the best spa day and groom she’s ever had. We cannot thank Jay and Philicia enough…. Her haircut is perfect, even and coat so smooth! Latte loved them so much she didnt want to leave them! The wags and kisses all over!! We found a permanent place for our babies grooming and pampering! This place is filled with love and compassion for our fur babies! I more than highly recommend Shagget Pet Grooming!!! Beautiful establishment and absolutely beautiful people!

If you are looking for a new groomer… Shagget is the one. I called Jay and her team in hopes to help my dogs who were shedding clumps of hair. They worked around my schedule and even opened early the next morning so I can get my babies in and soak in a mud bath to help with their skin and shedding. I have taken 2/4 of my dogs to different groomers before and have never felt anyone loved my babies as much as I do. Jay and her staff were so amazing and treated my babies with so much love.I have never taken my other 2 dogs due to being aggressive towards other dogs and I expressed this to Jay. She assured me that grooming them was possible and had an entire plan in place to bring them in.. so I did! They opened 2 hours early just so I can bring them in the day after I brought my other 2 pups in! They were so amazing when they were there (they were even able to brush their teeth!!) My babies were treated with so much love and many massages. They absolutely loved it. When they came out, it brought tears to my eyes because they were so clean, fluffy and happy. I received such amazing pictures of them during their experience and many text updates. I felt so safe dropping them off and trusting Jay with my babies. I can not recommend Shagget enough. My four babies and I are so excited to have found Jay and her wonderful team ❤️

Jay and Felicia took wonderful care of my dog. He was happy and not stressed like he usually gets when he goes to a groomer. Felicia did a wonderful job grooming Bear. They even sent me pictures of him while he was getting pampered would highly recommend this place.

I adopted a Wheaten Terrier / Poodle Mix puppy who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas and brought to Long Island. Coby was a mess and I wanted to ensure this sweet pupper got the pampering he deserved. I could not be happier with the job they did! I cant deny that I sobbed the happiest tears when I saw him come out to go home. He was slated to die last month and now hes living his best life! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the wonderful ladies at Shagget!! You went above and beyond and Im very grateful. See you in a few weeks!

We had an excellent grooming experience for our Bernese mountain dog! They tapered the fur on her legs nicely and she smelled so so good. Her fur was perfectly fluffed as well! We highly recommend!!

I took my cat for her first grooming appointment. Felicia was amazing with her! My cat is softer than ever, smells good and loved her session. They accomadated my request as quickly as possible. Very satisfied 😄

Great groomer. I literally went in to pick up Pizza one Friday and park next-door directly in front of this place. I never knew it was there so I popped in and asked about getting my dogs nails cut. If you ever tried to cut a CORGIS nails? It’s the definition of chaos! I ultimately met with the groomer and she explained the process provided strategies and when I picked up my older corgi, she done a great job of the nails and the dog came out wearing a Santa Claus hat! we talked about suggedsted grooming services and I brought the two dogs in for a spa treatment yesterday and they came out gorgeous. I found the vibe to be totally positive in there. The space is very professional looking and they do an exceptional job communicating via text messaging and phone calls. Try the out…i think you’ll be happy.

Shagget is the ABSOLUTE BEST GROOMERS EVER!!!!! They are very experienced, loving, caring, efficient people. You can tell they love what they do, they take the absolute best care of your pets while they are there. The services they provided for my boy Max were amazing. He is a Leonberger and very big and very hairy, they tended to all of his needs . He is a very hairy dog and has a double coat of hair, he has been getting hotspots lately where he’s just ripping his skin off so we treated the hotspots and then we took him back to Shagget grooming where they bathe him and shaved him down they gave him medical Bath, then they gave him an oatmeal bath, and then a regular bath in order to treat his skin and make his skin better. They were so patient and loving with him they did a wonderful job I would never take any of my pets anywhere else but here feel free to recommend them to everyone you know you will not be disappointed, they are the best. I love them thank you so very much for all you’ve done for my boy here is a before picture and after picture Enjoy

I took my 150 pound Newfoundland to Shagget Pet grooming. He honestly look like a hobo dog when he went in. He now looks like a show Dog. I’ve never had a dog groomer that took so much care and time with my dog. They kept in constant contact with me through his grooming and let me decide how I wanted him to look. Everyone there couldn’t be nicer and My dog felt the same way because he wasn’t in a rush to get out of there.

Excellent! The owner and her staff are very welcoming, treating all the dogs with love. The groomers do an excellent job and keep the dogs calm and comfortable throughout their stay. It was a wonderful experience for our dog. Highly recommended.

Today was our first visit but I met Jay a few weeks ago when I went in to make an appointment. She is so personable and professional. I took my Shih Tzu Tito and at first he was hesitant (typical Tito). I called a bit later to make sure he was cooperating and I was told “he is being a perfect gentleman”. That alone made me happy. But then when I went to pick him up, happy was not even close to what I felt when I saw how handsome Tito came out. Super happy with the entire experience . I already made my next appointment.

Shagget Pet Grooming is simply THE BEST! From the cleanliness of the shop to the amazing customer service, we have never been happier!We had stumbled upon Shagget Pet Grooming after a not so great experience with a previous groomer. When we walked in, we were greeted by the super friendly and knowledgeable, Jay. She was able to give us insight into services offered for our 11-month-old, English Cream Golden Retriever, Finn. When we were through talking, we decided to make an appointment.A few weeks later, it was time for Finns appointment! We had an 8am appointment and arrived about 5 minutes early. Finn was initially a bit timid, but after Jay and some of the other team members greeted Finn and treated him like their own, he was much calmer and ventured off into the back for his services!Finn has never looked better and the compliments weve received are amazing!We didnt have a great experience at the initial groomer, so we needed to find somewhere new! To say we are pleased is an understatement! From the amazing texts that kept us updated on Finn during his time there, to the amazing follow-up next day to see how he was doing, I have never experienced such incredible and caring individuals!We will absolutely be back! Thank you Shagget for treating Finn so amazingly well and just being the wonderful and warm individuals you all are!Would give 10 stars if we could! Highly recommend!

I brought my collie and my long-haired mixed breed to Shagget. Neither had been to a groomer in a long, long time (my fault) so they had matting, and were just a mess in general. The wonderful groomers at Shagget spent a whole lot of time with them and did a wonderful job making them look like show dogs again. And they even came out wearing really cute neckties. Well definitely be going there again!

This was my first time taking my 11 year old girl here and I am so pleased and happy!! Firstly the salon is beautiful, sanitary and clean looking. It smelled amazing when I walked in. I asked the sweet owner how my girl would be dried after her bath and she explained everything thoroughly! The best part was receiving text updates during her grooming with how she was doing- amazing!! She has intense skin issues and they gave a special mud bath to soothe her. This staff is the sweetest!! I will 100% be coming back with my other dog soon!

I just took my dog Chewy to Shagget and I couldn’t be happier with the results! My dog smells amazing and has never been softer. If you’re hesitant about getting the mud bath for your dog, trust me, just do it—it made such a noticeable difference! Just had THE worst experience at this place. Brought my Old English Sheepdog here for a “cut/trim” and clean up overall. After his service it was clear his entire body was buzzed and shaved down to his skin. We specifically asked to remove any matting (on his paws, ears, underarms) and leave the rest with a little trim clean up and they took it upon themselves to completely buzz MY DOG. Unprofessional and went against my wishes and asks to most definitely not shave or buzz him. Now he looks like a completely different dog, and is only still a new addition to the family and a puppy. My cat was just starting to finally warm up to him and now we are back to square one now that NO ONE can recognize HIM!!!!!!! WORST PLACE. Take a look at the photos.-someone who doesn’t typically ever wrote a review good or bad, this was my first one so it says a lot with how disappointed we are.

Could not recommend Shagget enough! They are so accommodating and really care about your pet and making sure they are comfortable. AND they do an amazing job. I’ve been using them for about 2 years now - my dog has been groomed by multiple groomers there and every single one of them has done an amazing job. 10/10 experience every time!

This was my first time bringing my new puppy for his first haircut and nail trim. I was so impressed the minute I walked in the door. Besides everybody being so friendly, the place was so clean and beautiful. It did not look like your typical grooming place. It looked nicer than where I go get a haircut. I gave them free rein to do whatever they needed to do because my dog had so much hair. He’s a 7 pound Morkipoo. I felt so comfortable there. They showed me a board with all different lengths of hair that we could cut it to and I told them take it down as low as you can. They cleaned his ears, they brushed his teeth, Clipped his nails, thank God, lol and gave him a beautiful haircut. I didn’t even recognize him when they brought him out. Until he turned and looked at me then I knew it was my Baby, which is actually his name. The price is reasonable and they do accept credit cards which I know a lot of groomers don’t. I have to say my first experience was the best and I can’t wait for when he has to go back. The owners and the staff are family and are the nicest people and just love what they do. If you’re looking for a good place to go to with quality workmanship, Shagget is the place for you. I never wrote a review this long, but I can’t stop talking about them. I know you’ll love them too!

Shagget Pet Grooming is always a pleasure to deal with. They are very accommodating, professional and always friendly. My lab has sensitive skin, so they always do a great job making sure he’s trimmed and washed with extra care. He always comes back squeaky clean and handsome!

I only took my nearly 12 year old cocker spaniel here for the first time today, and was blown away by the service and care Jay and Felicia provided her.They reassured me that she would be well taken care of, and lived up to their promise and beyond.True caring pet people, and they were speedy, efficient, and did a great job.As any good service provider tends to be, they book up well in advance, so make sure to make your appointments early.That being said, they do a great job of working their cancellation list, so make the first available appointment and standby in case they are ready for you sooner.I picked up a happy well-groomed dog this afternoon, and give this establishment my highest recommendation.

Cathy at the front desk put us at ease letting us know she was in good hands. We were so ecstatic when we picked her up! The groomers at Shagget do a fantastic on our boy, Gizmo! We had him groomed at at Petsmart, while we were away on vacation (we had him boarded there) and it looked like they barely touched him. This made us appreciate the job that Shagget does on Gizmo even more!

I went with my mom to get her dog groomed. Ears were uneven, nails werent cut not even a little and she left with a big knot in her tail. The excuses she gave me was she didnt want to hurt the dog mine you it wasnt there when we dropped her off and I got her home and it took me 2 minutes to comb it out. My only regret is I tipped her before I saw my dog and that I cant give her a zero

When I went in yesterday, I was in awe on how clean and beautiful the place was. The staff are excellent people who carry themselves to such a high standard to ensure the best results for your baby. I got my two year old Goldendoodle groomed there and she came out so beautiful and happy. The lead groomer took care of her and I must say did an excellent job and had very close attention to detail. I am 100% going back. I have found my forever groomer!!!

I brought my multi-Pooh to this groomer a few months ago. The place was very neat and clean and the people were very friendly. However, I showed a picture to the groomer of how I would like my dog cut. She assured me I would receive a haircut exactly like the picture. Unfortunately, when I came back, I found my dog was basically shaved to the skin. No phone call no contact. If I had been advised, this is what they would do to my dog I would have picked her up immediately. I Do you realize that my dog may have had a few knots. I have had groomers in the past that would take the time to cut them out and work to make the haircut as requested. In this case I feel like they took the easy way out. I would not bring my dog back to this place.My appointment was nine months ago.It really doesn’t matter if it’s nine months nine days or nine minutes.My review stands.Possibly, I could have responded sooner. However, I chose not to.The experience I had is clearly outlined above.Additionally, it is not professional for the owner to contact me using my personal phone number to ask me to take down a review.My review states my experience at this establishment.For those of you who have had a good experience there you should keep going, however, in my experience it was a very poor job.

Can not say enough amazing things about Shagget. I feel so lucky I found Felicia and I never intend to let anybody else groom my baby after the friendship they’ve developed! You can tell that Felicia truly cares for and enjoys working with her furry friends. The place is clean and spacious and I feel safe leaving my Sophie there. I have been happy with every cut she’s received. They accept credit card, which is a good plus because I know a lot of grooming places don’t. We love Shagget so much! Jay and Philicia are the nicest, most caring people. I’ve been bringing my dog Tater here since he was a puppy, and it’s now been almost 2 years! Tater loves Philicia, and it shows by how happy he is to see her every time we come in. It is such a relief knowing I’m leaving him with people I trust and who care for him like their own. Grooming a doodle is no easy feat, especially an 85lb one, but he always comes out looking great and smelling amazing. Most importantly he comes out happy! This place is INCREDIBLE! The staff is so sweet and accommodating and takes the time to walk you through everything they will servicing your animal for. The place is also SPOTLESS. You can tell the owner loves what she does by the passion and empathy in her voice. My corgi has a hard time with nail cutting and they actually told me he was really calm for them and had no issues. Each time i pick him up he is smiling and so happy which is the biggest sign to me that they really do care about him. I will be a consistent returning customer and I recommend everyone use this grooming place. Weve brought our Goldendoodle about 3-4 times now and have been really happy so far. My dog is usually anxious getting groomed and she seems generally happy going in and out of Shagget. Theyre affordable and it never smells going in- they keep it spotless.

Very clear communication from booking to finish, with text confirmations, and texting updates all through the grooming session. We have a very anxious, at times sometimes even aggressive toward strangers pup, and they didnt seem to have a problem with her during the session. Kept me updated on how she was doing during the couple hours they had her. Facility itself super cute, clean, friendly staff. Prices way better than others nearer to us, we drove here from queen, but definitely worth it, and will be back for our pups next grooming visit.

This groomer stands out as one of my preferred choices on Long Island. From my initial visit onward, they have consistently exhibited kindness, patience, and efficiency in handling my dogs grooming sessions. I am genuinely satisfied with their performance and care.

We have a mini golden doodle who’s 5 months old and had an absolutely beautiful coat. We specifically said multiple times, we do not want a poodle cut, or cut short. She just needed a trim around her eyes and just a tiny bit taken off all around. We made it very clear that we wanted to keep her coat long, very clear. They did the exact opposite of what we told them. It looks like they shaved her. She looks exactly like a poodle. Her hair on her face is cut completely uneven, one side is substantially longer than the other side. Overall completely unsatisfied and will definately be taking her elsewhere needless to say

My golden doodle Mabel has never looked better, her coat is silky and shiny and so much detail was put into her face and tail! Shagget pet grooming is a loving and caring environmen.My friend mentioned that while getting her dog groomed I was having an issue with the pup I rescued from my elderly family member. Jay offered to meet my pup and see if she could adopt him. I arrived at Shagget with my nervous pup and saw a larger dog inside. Jay waved me in. My nervous little pup entered tail wagging and was loving on Jay in seconds. Maddy the owner of the large dog introduced her pup to mine and they were In love human and pup. Maddys boyfriend arrived and my little guy was loving on him immediately.When I shared my pups name is Frank they shared they lost their dog Frank recently. It was also Johns birthday. I knew immediate John and Maddy would be wonderful parents. I cried tears of joy as I promised my senior cousin I would care for Frank. Jay hug me and I new the angels were with me. Jay patiently groomed Frank for his new family. Shagget is more than a groomer she is truly a kind and loving person. Her love of people bought strangers together. Took our oldest pup Nils there today. It is clean, friendly and allowed us to take a tour of the facility! Thought they just opened a few months ago based on cleanliness, but it’s almost two years! The person doing the haircut comes and greets you and your pup and brings your pup back out themselves! Highly recommend and will be going back.

Took our dog in to get groomed and a bath. The staff were amazing. Very professional. The business was very clean and looked really nice. My dog looks great and was completely comfortable being there. I highly recommend it.

They were amazing with our 4 month old puppy . Professional and so gentle with him. His hair cut was on point and he smelled great from his bath!! Definitely recommend and we will be returning :)

Jay and her groomers, especially Felicia are wonderful here!! Our 1 year old Cockapoo always has a wonderful experience and gets a great cut. They are very attentive to what you ask them to do! Highly recommend Shagget!!

I read these fantastic reviews before we called for our dog Lily. I couldn’t be happier. It is actually the best place I have ever been to and we have had Lily for 11 years. It’s wonderful!
