Weve gone to Christina for years, but hadnt been in a while as we had moved out of the area and then our two standards passed away. Fast forward a year and we arrived with our two new boys, one a rescue and one a 9 month old. Both Standards, one quite big, (90 pounds). They were both nervous, and Christina immediately went down on the ground with Archie, and he was wagging his tail and giving kisses in no time. I was so relieved and felt confident leaving them there. They had had a couple of grooms previously, each more disastrous than the next. And then the little lightbulb went off in my head...Happy Tails!! And my boys are GORGEOUS!! Now I will say, not cheap, but the old adage, you get what you pay for has never been more true! Thank you Christina!
My familys dogs have been going to Happy Tails for over 17 years and we would never go to another groomer. Christina does a really great job with the hair cuts even with my one dog that can be very difficult with his nails and face. My dogs also liked to be able to walk around and socialize with the other doggies there!
Absolutely wonderful! Not only do I get an excellent groom for my doodles, but Happy Tails truly make you feel part of their family with their outstanding customer service. Thank you for all you do for my Moose and my Taco Bear!
My mother had previously brought our dog there once or twice and has told me that he seemed scared every time he got back with us and didnt ever want to go, but figured that it was simply a new place and it scared him. Unfortunately, I have to agree with most of the reviews that put this establishment in a bad light. Because his hair was so knotted, they had to shave him. We figured that would happen, but were not expecting cuts all over his body - one in between his eyes, a few on his ears, around his groin, and even his paws seem to be in pain. Currently he doesnt seem to want to sit, especially on hard surfaces. He twitches in pain/fear when you go to pet him. Our dog went from a very trusting dog who would run to strangers to play with them to a dog who even fears his owners. As it is still the first day since he came back, hopefully that will get resolved.Onto the establishment: Google Maps Navigation puts the address as a bit too far up the road. Going inside, it seems cramped and has a stench. Our dog went in at 8am and I wasnt able to pick him up until 3. For a shaving & nail clipping it cost $60 and now our dog seems to be in quite a bit of pain and fear.Currently the dog looks on the verge of tears and he will not be returning to Happy Tails. Maybe in a few months his hair (yes hair, not fur) will grow long enough that we can take him to a groomer who will be kind enough to hack at him with clippers.
Love Happy Tails and so my 4 poodles. Always happy with the trim and dogs dont mind going there, which is always a good indication.
