Upstate German Shepherds

We purchased a sable male from Upstate and he is the most intelligent, loving, and fun shepherd we have ever heard. He was so easy to train. His is a certified search/rescue dog and and has the biggest personality in our family. Highly recommend Upstate GSD!

My beloved Mina is the daughter of Iris. She was born 04MAY2023 and is truly my best four legged friend. She follows my daughter and her friends outside everywhere to ensure their safety. She is fun, active, bright, beautiful, and just the right amount of protective. My experience procuring her was easy and I was given a ton of information on what her needs would be, how to best care for her, along with all of my follow up questions being answered. I wouldnt trade my dog for the world.

Drove 90 miles to look at a six month old that someone adopted but returned due to health reasons . Anyways they told me the dog was well trained and friendly but we saw no signs of that when we met the dog…All good so we left no when we were 70 away, the owner text and said my 6 year old left her purse there, which contained money and other items.. I asked the owner to just mail my grandaughter back her money and I would replace the purse..The owner stopped responding and we never got the money back…..I have to add that the kennel location looked run down and not clean…

I called Don out of the blue after hours and he graciously took the call and answered all my questions. Having 50 years experience with large breed dogs, I could tell straight away Don was knowledgeable. We lost our beloved old man last year at age 14 and were not quite ready for a new family member just yet. When the time is right, Ill be sending a deposit for my puppy from Upstate.

I have been in the market for the best bred Shepherd for a while and contacted a specialized GS group on Reddit for a breeder in the Northeast, which is how I found UGS. I have never experienced better customer service, or such knowledgeable, as from Jodi and Don. Every question I have had along the way has been replied to in such a friendly manner, and when I decided to wait for a bit longer with getting my puppy due to personal life events they were really cooperative and helpful, and I cannot wait till I can get back to them to get my puppy. The dames and sires are impressive stock - I have experience dealing with the best breeders in Scandinavia. I wholeheartedly recommend UGS for anyone considering a top of the line GS. Ivan turned 2 this week. He has amazing bone structure, head size and calm temperament. Our family couldnt be happier with our decision to work w Jodi and purchase a pup. It is very comforting to know that any issue/question I may have, no matter how small, she will be there to answer and help me out. This has helped us raise Ivan with the best care possible. They are doing an amazing job with the up keep of not just our four legged friends but structure in which they conduct there business and care for our four legged best friends its definitely a great place for people to find a four legged best friend to give a loving for ever home

Spoke with the breeder. Very knowledgeable of the GSD breed. I would recommend this breeder to anyone in the market for a well balanced GSD.

At first I thought my German Shepherd puppy I received from this breeder was actually an alligator disguised as a puppy! The Working Line variation of this breed demands your attention, lots of playtime, room to exercise, and early obedience training. My puppy is a quick learner when working with his trainer, attribitual to his lineage. Alas, Im not as quick a learner, although I am improving. Be sure to have your veterinarian check for parasites, my guy picked up Giardia, which is readily treatable. The breeders are professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
