The staff at Dog Mountain Lodge really care for your pets, and are exceptional!! I have nothing but good words to say about this place!We drove from Albany NY to Lake Huntington NY (2.5hrs) just to bring our cat here while we were on a week long vacation. After carefully reviewing our options closer to home, we saw many 3 star ratings and just couldnt risk leaving our beloved Nugget and taking a risk. We found Dog Mountain Lodge who was rated 5 stars and decided to give it a go. it was 100% worth the drive knowing that our cat was being taken care of so well. If we ever need boarding for her in the future we will absolutely be back!!! 🖤

My dog had a wonderful visit. The lodge posts pictures which I appreciated. Of all the possibilities for care while I was away, I knew this would be the safest for my pup, and I wouldn’t need to worry about him or his caretakers.

We have an older dog and we were concerned about stressing her. Dog Mountain Lodge did great with her and we had a great experience. They post pictures daily. This provided great reassurance and relief while we were away.

I wont bring my boys anywhere else! The staff is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure all pets are happy, comfortable, healthy, and safe.

Took my golden for grooming and had such a great experience. You can tell the people who work here really love dogs. When I picked up my golden, he was very happy and even said bye to the team! Surprising: usually when I pick him up from other groomers, he’s pulling to leave. I think that says a lot about his experience behind closed doors. Wish we lived closer so we can keep coming back!

Beautiful grounds & facilities, cared for & run by obvious animal lovers that treat your babies like their own. And I brought them THE most needy cat ever. Brought them a cat with a boo boo eye that needed nearly CONSTANT care. I was traumatized that I had to find a place I could leave my kitty that needed SO much care. Through Wallenpaupack Vets recommendation, at the very last minute, Dog Mountain Lodge opened their arms to him & WELCOMED my problem child. And his boo boo eye looked even BETTER than when I dropped him off! These kind souls will love your babies like you do... and they take CATS!! Almost nobody seems to take cats :)))

Always accomodating! Have used this kennel for years! Great with cats n dogs! Very kind and caring to animals as well as to we people who use their home away from home for our pets! Excellent staff! I had to board my almost 14 year old Mini Schnauzer for the first time (ever!) and am so thrilled that DML was an option. This was such an awesome experience for both myself and my pup. I was anxious of course but felt very comfortable that she was in GREAT hands and I could enjoy my weekend away. The property and buildings are so nice and very clean. All of my questions and concerns were answered (thanks again for your patience) plus I was able to bring her food and bed which made this dog mama very happy. She is already booked to go back next weekend! Thanks for taking such good care of my baby!

My parents just housed their dog with Dog Mountain Lodge this week. It was an exceptional experience for the dog. They were so happy about his demeanor when he came home. Highest possible review. Plenty of attention, outdoor & playtime. Both our dogs seem to think of it as a vacation. Dean & staff are detail oriented, responsive & caring. They are willing to take dog beds, favorite toys & food. The staff posts pictures each day. They always give a thorough download of the dog’s experience. Book early for holiday week needs. DML books fast!

Amazing service from wonderful people. We have brought our dog here twice for grooming and once for an overnight stay while we were traveling. I have nothing but nice things to say. We were given a tour of the facility and were blown away by the amount of care and thoughtfulness they put in to ensure your dog has the best stay possible. Each time we have had our dog groomed he came back smiling and looking great! Will definitely be using them again!

This is a cherished business for our family. The best place to handle my two large (and wild) dogs when we travel. Caring staff and owners, kind and always welcoming. Trustworthy of course! Book in advance, this is a popular pet destination for locals and summer folks.

We brought our dog to the Dog Mountain Lodge for a bath, and we were so pleased! We received very prompt service, and I was amazed at how wonderful our dog looked and smelled after her grooming. And she seemed very happy as well. :D Highly recommend this super professional, great quality business!

Best kennel we have ever seen. Dogs get a fair share of exercise time. Owners are dog people - really good at reading the animals and keeping them happy. They take pics of the dogs every day, so you can go on their website and see how your dog is doing. We looked at loads of reviews for this kennel and could not find a bad one. The place is in the sticks, and a bit of a hike for us; but cant imagine bringing our dog someplace else after seeing how well he did there. He is not really a people dog (and definitely not too friendly to other dogs) - bit he did well with the people and the dogs at Dog Mountain Lodge.

DML came highly recommended to us. We brought our 2 year old shepherd for daycare. This is the first time we left any of our dogs with anyone. Everyone was so friendly and he looked like he had such a great time.

A wonderful place to board your dog. We bring our dogs for play dates and for long term boarding. They love it! Lots of supervised play time with other dogs in large open areas. The only kennel we have ever used where our dogs are excited to go and stay. Dean and Krista are wonderful. The grooming and bathing are great also. We took our doggies here twice and they were happy both times. The staff crew always professional and very friendly we even received the due shot notification for one if the dogs and I find it very helpful. Its quite a ride from Brooklyn, but totally worth it. We will be back next time we will be heading to another vacation trip.

I have had my dog Gage stay at Dog Mountain Lodge and few times and they are great. When ever we come back and pick up Gage he is happy and tried. I love that he does not stay in a kennel the whole time we are away and has time to play with other dogs. I also had Gage groomed while he was there for our most recent trip and he is so soft and so nice and clean. Last thing is when I am away I can look at their guest book and see pictures of Gage running around having fun. This is the only place I want to bring him when we need to go away and we cannot take with us!

Great place. I have a pit bull named Biggie that is very loving, large and playful! Even though he has so much energy at times, the staff handles him very well and I’m never worried about him being mistreated here. He comes back happy every time and it’s so nice to be able to see pictures of him daily on the website! He gets to make friends plus get extra play time which is perfect for him! There’s a schedule to fit every dog’s personality.

Dog Mountain Lodge is a wonderful, trustworthy place to bring your pets! We bring our to dogs there for occasional play dates and for boarding when we travel. We feel so blessed to have found them, because we never have to worry about our girls while we’re gone!

This place is the most wonderful business I have ever seen. People are the absolute best, services they offer are incredible and their prices for what they provide are VERY reasonable. Before my using Dog Mtn Lodge I would have never brought a dog or animal that I owned to a kennel for any reason and this place has completely changed my view regarding leaving pets with a business. My dog goes absolutely crazy as soon as I turn up Dog Mtn Lodges driveway. He LOVES it here. My true belief is that Dog Mtn Lodge has made my dog a better pet !!!

We have been boarding our dogs there for a few years. The staff is great, and our dogs have always been well cared for. I also love the daily updated photos of our dogs!

I wont bring my dogs anywhere else. My dogs are difficult types, so we hesitate bringing them anywhere. They are happy to go to Dog Mountain Lodge, its worth driving an hour to drop them. People come from much further, too. If I could rate 6 stars, I would.

Dean, Krista, David and the entire staff are simply the best. Their devotion to your pet is only surpassed by their kindness and professionalism. Dog Mountain Lodge is our dog, Normas second home.

Monis happy place! The staff here is incredible, so kind, patient, and attentive. Moni gets to run around like a maniac with a bunch of other dogs and I come home from vacation to an exhausted pup- perfect. I trust DML completely.

This caring animal lovers and proprietors of this fabulous animal care (and fun!) facility are just AMAZING: let me tell you my story. At the last minute we had to rescue and wanted to permanently keep our elderly friends dog, which he had not taken care of properly in months due to illness. The dog I was told by this mans neighbor was unkempt, matted dirty and scared. I frantically called groomers in the area; one callously responded that Sunday was her day and she wouldnt groom the elderly blind dog on a Sunday (that is an groomer?....please....) I then called DOG Mountain Lodge. They immediately welcomed Seymour with open arms sight unseen and told me they would be glad to assist and take care of all of his grooming needs even though their state cert. groomer was not there on Sunday. I was SO happy, it was far more than I cold handle. I went to their gorgeous facility, and they very welcoming and eager to help Seymour! I was SO happy. I went shopping in Callicoon and came back and Seymour was a NEW dog! AMAZING grooming job, he smelled so fresh and clean! He was so cute and the owner and his staff were SO friendly, helpful and attentive to Seymour who is about 16-17 years old, has cataracts and a little wobbly on his feet. They did NOT act like I was a nuisance or they didnt want to be bothered. These people LOVE animals!!! Their services look fabulous! Seymour, my husband Larry and I (his wife, Kim) THANK everyone at Dog Mountain Lodge! The price was soooo reasonable -- just amazing!!!! Kim!

Best place ever to send your pet. They are treated like they are home. I would never consider another place.

We kept our cat here for 1 week. The peopke were awesome and took good care of her. We will use this place again if we are in the area!!!

Our pups have been here a few times now, and always an excellent experience!! They’re a great, clean establishment, and the only place I trust with our babies!! Follow our medicine/dietary schedule and they always come home happy! Love the guestbook so we can see pics of them during their stay!

We left our dogs IVY&BLUE several times and we will leave them in the future as well.Staff is really friendly, they watch the dogs and they keep track of everything related to the dog.
