Forestville Animal Hospital

Thank you for giving me so much extra time with my Buddy.Finally diagnosed with cushings disease after 4 years of a dozen different vets that wouldnt listen and kept telling me he was just old (he was only 7 when symptoms started!). One of those other vets went as far as telling me to measure his water intake in a multi pet household instead of just testing him for cushings! 😑 Dr Bache went ahead with testing at 11 years old and sure enough, he had it and we proceeded with treatment. He just turned 17, and up until this year or so, those years were all amazing! Though, no amount of time is ever enough, I owe it to him and staff for giving me so many extra good days with my baby and I will be forever grateful I found this place. They have been there for Buddy and I (and my other pets) thru so many ups and downs and I appreciate always taking care of us when I was probably the most annoying/needy client to date. What can I say, I love my dog 😅 sorry 😊

I have never been to forestville animal hospital. My vet couldnt fit me in for an emergency. I call forestville. They daid they were booked until February. Then my phone rang and the Dr said bring him right in. What an amazing Dr and place. Thank you so much for helping my furbaby. You and your staff were so great!! You now have a new customer.

Dr. Bache is such a good doctor, he’s very kind, explains everything thoroughly, listens to you, goes above and beyond, he’s overall very helpful. He’s not one of those doctors who just wants your money, he always recommends what is truly best for your pet and he wouldn’t have certain things done, if he didn’t truly believe it would help. I believe he’s the only doctor at this animal hospital, but he’s very efficient and gives all patients enough time and attention. Ps: he handled my dog very well, my dog was not too fond of him (he was being aggressive ) and he was acting up, but Dr. Bache took care of him so well. The nurses are very kind and helpful. The receptionists are very patient and nice, there is one older lady at the desk who always seems a bit grumpy, but she doesn’t necessarily bother me lol. I highly recommend this vet!! 💜

My kitty, Dusty needed a physical.Hes 18, the Dr. Said he looks very good. Excellent service from everyone. From the time I got in the door for a scheduled appointment to paying my bill was only an hour.

Dr. Bache and his staff are the most caring and compassionate staff in the industry. My 230 pound Mastiff lost the use of his back legs quickly. Due to his size, Dr. Bache, who was not even his vet at the time, came to my home to assist. With great patience and progressive therapy, he is currently providing my older Mastiff with a continued quality life. The fees are more than reasonable.I would HIGH:Y recommend this clinic even if it is a drive. The level of care and the pure grace of this doctor and his staff make them second to none. He will have a client with me and my entire family for life. I can not thank them enough. Truly...

This hospital is amazing we have 4 dogs and have had several emergencies over the years and the vet always answers his emergency line and gets us right in . Truly thankful for this veterinarian and his amazing staff ❤️

Five stars to Dr bache.But I ended up giving the rest of the hospital a three-star because the receptionist Kim is very rude very ignorant and very disrespectful toward clients and patients. Claims that the animal hospital is her Hospital and in her waiting room you dont give suggestions or recommendations of CBD products to other patients for their dogs who are already on three medications and still having five seizures a month per month at minimum. And then when I tried to let her know that its okay to recommend or suggest CBD products I was told in my waiting room it is unprofessional and that if I was going to do that I didnt need to be here and then when I told her that shes not to talk to me like that she just looked at me with an ignorant ugly face and told me goodbye with an attitude and then went on about taking care of another customer. Gave the lady zero recommendations about what to do or how to prevent her dog from having more seizures just handed her, her paperwork and told her to have a good day so thats when I spoke up and told her that she should try CBD products because theyre natural organic and theyve been known to work against seizures to help prevent them or to slow them down.I like the doctor but his receptionist Kim needs to go. Shes got a terribly attitude to be dealing with clients.

Dr. Bache is knowledgable, caring, and compassionate. He has an amazing way of calming my cats as soon as he touches them. That being said, I was extremely disappointed with the care we received from staff when, after months of unsuccessful treatment and surgery, I recently made the heartbreaking decision to have my senior cat euthanized. Was told to bring her right in; we then waited in the busy waiting area for well over an hour with my cat in her carrier as people came and went with their barking dogs, and forced to listen to whatever junk was playing on the radio, while I sat there forcing back tears and attempting to make my cats last few moments as peaceful and comfortable as possible. I understand it was a last minute walk-in appointment, but why not have us wait in the car or set up a time that afternoon when it wasnt so busy? Considering the circumstances, I would have hoped for a bit more compassion at such a traumatic time.

I have nothing but great things to say about this vet. The staff is wonderful, the doctor is wonderful, we have never had a bad experience at this place. We have been to many vets in our area (Lancaster NY) and we will take the hour drive to continue to go out to this vet. They truly care about animals and take the time to listen to you. The older lady receptionist is a miserable human being and should not be working around animals (or people for that matter). When people come in worried about their pets well-being they should be treated with kindness and understanding. I will never make a morning appointment again.Dr. Bache is, however, a wonderful, kind person and in very knowledgeable.

I am so glad, the doctor took ROSEY, after she was hit by a car on RT 83, she had jumped the fence. She got hit, crawled , unto she hit the cliff and fell to the bottom. The Forestville fireman rescued her and literally brought her to the doctor in town. She was taken right away and x-rayed. I was scared to death as I waited. He soon told me, her damage and her body tissue saved her bones from more destruction. His knowledge of animals was the most amazing experience. It is worth every penny. For my dog is alive and I have him to thank for it. Praise the lord this man who is so good at his job. best VET EVER>................

I have taken my Maggie to Forestville Animal Hospital since I got her. They were always respectful and knowledgeable. The last time I brought her in it was because she was very ill. This was on an emergency call on a Saturday. He explained to me in detail what was wrong with her and unfortunately there was nothing more they could do for her. I wanted someone to come to my home and euthanize her but they were booked 3 weeks out. I called the Dr. back and asked if we could come back and he was gracious enough to meet us back at the Hospital. It was a beautiful November day. We laid our Maggie down on a patch of grass on her favorite blanket. He met us outside and did the procedure there. The last moments of my Maggie were of the beautiful outdoors and the faces of her loving family. Not some cold stainless steel room. I will forever be grateful to the Dr for what he did for us that day. He is compassionate and loving toward all his fur clients. There is no other Dr around that would do what he did that day to make sure that my Maggie was comfortable for her last hours with her family. I will always go to him with any animal I may have in the future.

I got home from work & I noticed my cat was bleeding from her rear. I called my vet, who Ive been taking her too for 14 years. I explained the situation & was told they close at 5:30 ( it was 5:15). They have an emergency line but she gave me appt for 8:30 am or call other emergency vets. I called 4 other emergency vets, some over 40 miles away, to no avail. ALL too busy. By now its 7:00. I gave up. 😢 figured Id wait until 8:30 hoping shed be ok until then. She was not eating & was weak. A friend said to try FORESTVILLE ANIMAL HOSPITAL. We are not a patient there. I had nothing to lose so I called. Dr. Bache called me RIGHT BACK... OPENED HIS OFFICE & took care if my baby. Lanced her abscess, antibiotics shot & IV to hydrate & lower her temp. He was knowledgeable, explained EVERYTHING & was gentle. THANK YOU!! our new Vet for sure.

Love taking my schnauzers here. The staff is super friendly and very caring. Prices are also very reasonable compared to other vets and animal hospitals.

Ive have taken my dog Mia there for little over a year. They were always great and helped her with laser therapy to her hip when she had trouble with it. And when she would lick her paws until they were red and swollen they would get me in pretty quickly. However when I called the other day to make an emergency visit because she is vomiting and hasnt eaten for days they said they are all booked and suggested orchard park hospital. Not everyone can afford the emergency hospital. Im really disappointed in thier office. When we really need help they basically turned us away.

If I could give more stars I would. Dr. Bache rushed in to help my dog after getting into an altercation with our other dog. He thoroughly cared for my girl. He’s very compassionate and it’s clear he loves what he does. I will be transferring my routine care for my pets to this office and recommend him to everyone. Even with it being an emergency visit at midnight, the cost was very reasonable.Thank you again Dr.Bache!!!!!

Ive had several dealings with them. I have a litter of puppies. They did their shots and were really nice and professional. When our litter was born we had a sick runt and they immediately allowed me to come in when something was wrong even though they were busy. When he passed a day and a half later they made sure to go through options for urn boxes with me and even engraved his box with his ashes. I will definitely come back ♡

Amazing team, they took exceptional care of my great dane for her spay and stomach tack. She was a referral from another vet and I will definitely be switching both of my animals to Forestville Animal Hospital!

Dr Bache and his staff are excellent, the best I’ve been to in decades. They are very thorough and knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them.

The older lady at the front desk is Rude like usual. They did not update the paperwork on our doggos or the billing address. Its not a huge deal but the lady said she would update it. The prescription still had the old address, same with all of the other paperwork. The printer has not been working for the last 4 years for some reason.Dr. Bache is great so that us the only reason we come back.

I wouldnt take my pets anywhere else. Not only is the dr an awesome guy who takes amazing care of all of my babies. The staff is amazing too. Everyone is kind and loving to all the babies. And friendly to their parents.On top of all the awesome people there they are rather in expensive. They only charge you for what they do. And unlike other vets. Its only 35 to walk in to door. Theres a fee if its an emergency but thats still only an additional like 25 I cant really remember exactly what the fee is but thats close. Then its + meds and stuff like xrays.So to summarize. Awesome dr. Awesome staff. Reasonable prices. 6/5 stars would always recommend.

This is the best vet I have ever been too. Amazing staff. Always willing to help. They are not about the money they are about the care of the animals which I am very happy about. Always feel welcome when I go in. This vet will always be the number one vet I will go to. Happy to take my animals there and know they will be taken care of well

We were out of town visiting family and he still gave us excellent service. Met us at the office on a Saturday within the hour! Very thorough and friendly service. Highly recommend, my mom is a normal patient and always has great service.

Forestville Animal Hospital. Is one of the most compassionate vet Hospitals Ive ever been to they took care of my animal my pet as I was in the hospital having back surgery. The staff compassionate loving they care for the animals they respected . They took care of my pet until it took its last breath and after that they were compassionate and they still took care of my Pat until I was able to get out of the hospital to come pick him up and for that I am grateful from the bottom of my heart to the staff the doc and everybody that works there thank you very very much

The staff and Dr Bache are kind, attentive, sensitive and caring and most importantly trustworthy. We feel confident that are dogs are In good hands at Forestville Animal Hospital.

Fantastic vet who is there when you need them. Our dog got stung by a bee with a bad reaction on a Saturday. Called their emergency number and they called back within minutes. From call to vet visit was less than 30 minutes. Service was amazing. We are mov8ng ourcother animals to this vet!

We have been coming here shortly after they opened..Dr.Bache is absolutely the best ...His bedside bedside manner with animals and the owners are above and beyond wonderfull....We have had a few after houremergency and once it was themiddle of a snow storm on a weekend..He was there waiting and was so caring and helpfull....The ENTIRE STAFFis as wonderfull as he is....It does not matter if they answer the phone or help with your pet...They are all polite..friendly..helpfull...Thankyou for always being there for our pets..The Zielinski family...

They let my 5 year old boxer bleed out and die!I Rushed my baby there yesterday because he collapsed. His gums were turning white he was getting cold when I brought him in. The Doctor said he had a ruptured spleen that bled but somehow stopped. He said I need to get him to a Hpspital where they can do surgery. He waited another 30 to 45 minutes before bringing him out to me. As I was driving to Orchard park hospital he was getting worse. By the time we arrived he could not get stable enough to do emergency surgery because he lost to much blood.Why in the hell didn’t they come out and say get him to the hospital as fast as you can now!!!And bring him out....They let my baby bleed out and now I’m devastated and heartbroken and alone.Terrible place with no knowledge of care for my baby and now he’s gone!Thanks Forrestville!

Caring and knowledgeable vet and staff. I have had several emergencies with several of my pets and he has never turned us away. We are never disappointed in his care

They have emergency hours and they take emergency visits, but only for people who are already under their care. It defeats the purpose of calling a visit an emergency because it’s not open to all pets only specific ones. Currently seeking emergency medical care for my dog, and I’m being told to drive two hours in the opposite direction.

Reception sherry was obsessing over the first thing that popped into her head and became rude and argumentative not a good sign

I took a very sick dog into the hospital having never been there before. Dr. Bache is amazing... I am very happy to say that my dog is making a great recovery .He was well taken care of and I am extremely satisfied.

My bunny died the day after taking him here due to misdiagnosis. My bunny was suffering from GI stasis with all of the tell tale signs, but the doctor failed to recognize that, having me force feed him while he was not producing any feces. He died the next morning, in a lot of pain, because his intestines were blocked and he likely had an overgrowth of harmful toxic bacteria in his gut. Unfortunately I learned this too late. There are multiple steps I could have taken to stimulate my bunny to produce a bowel movement but the doctor didnt talk about any of them. He rushed through the appointment and didnt even take my bunnys temperature, when maintaining an adequate body temperature is the first and most important line of defense in treating GI stasis. I am heartbroken, especially in knowing that I could have done more to save my baby.

Been a client for a few years and its gotten worse and worse. They dont have regular appointments available but pay a extra 80 bucks and they can get ya right in ! They should seriously be ashamed of themselves !!

Called to make an appointment for a rabies shot for my dog, the soonest they could get me in was over a month. Im not a new customer. Unacceptable. Called another vet, I have an appointment in 1 week.

Would not respond to a call at night for a poor dog that was suffering and needed to go to sleep. Don’t use these people!!!

Our cat was having a medical emergency today. It was after hours so we called the emergency line and the vet, Dr. Bache answered and told us to come right in. He is an angel of mercy. Got our boy feeling better in less than an hour. His costs were extremely reasonable especially for an emergency visit. Thank you again for all that you did for Odin. Words can’t express the gratitude we have in our hearts.

The vet here is wonderful and clearly cares about the animals he sees!Shortly after we moved to the area, my dog got into a box of dark chocolate. We did not yet have a vet and I had no idea who to call. The vet here was quick to get ahold of, and was very helpful. Luckily we did not have to go in, but he was willing to come in for an emergency appointment for someone who was not an established patient on a Friday night. I’m so thankful for the vet here and would absolutely recommend going here.4 months later and (forgetting I already had) I came here to write a positive review again. After facing another emergency with our other dog, the vet here has been great at communicating with us about what’s happening, what the benefits or risks are with each possible treatment approach, and his recommendations moving forward. Unfortunately her care has been a process, but he continues to be kind and helpful.

Just concluded or 3rd visit, Buddy, with the last of our 3 dogs. Dr. Bache is terrific as are the girls there. Compassionate, caring, knowledgeable and just great with the dogs. Saturday hours are very helpful because like most people I work during the week. We cant thank them enough for the terrific service that they provide!

Amazing service! My poor dog had emergency on the weekend and they met me at the office right away to make sure he was ok. Highly recommend!

They assume if you call for friend make you responceable for their bill

I have had nothing but great service from the staff and Dr. Bache saved my dog, I went to several Vets and my suffering dog was miss diagnosed until Dr. Bachs treated my precious dog. He is always full of valuable information and suggestions! Thank you Dr. Bache and his wonderful staff!
