Chestnut Ridge German Shepherds

Years ago I purchased a pup from Chestnut Ridge and she was a great dog so when we were ready for another pup we went back to Chestnut Ridge. By the time we returned the original owner had died and the breeding line was sold to the current owners. I was a little bit hesitant because the dogs were so good before I didn’t think they could be better. Wow was I wrong! I asked about 1,000,000 questions, inspected their kennels, met all their dogs, visited their facility several times, interacted with the dogs again, met the pups, and finally picked the pairing that I wanted for the parents. The two I liked the best wouldn’t be bred for several months as Ken likes to wait for-ev-er between breedings (kidding, but it sure seemed like a loooooong time) as he prefers the dogs stay healthy rather than be bred over and over. It was worth the wait!My Westley is absolutely gorgeous. His temperament is amazing and I wouldn’t trade him for the world. We bring him everywhere and have been very careful to socialize him at every opportunity. He is solid and calm. Other dogs can be losing their minds and he just looks at them and keeps on walking. He is such an amazing dog that we have decided to get a second and of course we are going right back to Chestnut Ridge.
