We take our sons dog there everytime we babysit him. Its a very large dog park with plenty of room to run. They supply water access and benches, picnic tables and a gazebo for the humans to sit and visit while they watch their four legged furbabies. They have 2 separate areas . One is for smaller dogs and the other is for larger breeds. They also have poop bags and garbage readily available. Theo always has a good time and meets alot of new friends.

Open all day, with friendly and clean pet areas, enjoy a LOVELY stop with your dogs, or join the regulars for the AM (abt 9-11) or PM shifts (abt 4-6). Obstacles and fresh water amenities, as well as an ample supply of tennis balls. Even a FIRE HYDRANT!! The pups will LOVE IT and love YOU for finding it!

Brought my puppy here for the first time today. Has large separate pens and a designated area for bigger dogs. Bags supplied for picking up poop. My puppy really enjoyed the tunnels. No shade from the sun but there is a picnic table to sit on. They also had a water hose for the dogs.

Seems like the park was a good idea in theory but has absolutely no shade besides the small gazebo and the large dog area. There was still, nasty, scumwater in large bins meant for the dogs to swim in and lots of sitting water to drink in which can hold a lot of harmful bacteria for dogs. The upside is that it is a large area to run around in and obstacles to crawl on but has a lot of overgrown weeds as well it doesnt seem like its very well maintained. Could use more wood chips as is it mostly dirt now.

That place was terrible. We were there yesterday and there were several dogs which was fine but there were three small husky’s and they chased my dog, he layed on his back and they were on top of him, which encouraged three others. My poor baby was crying, I went to him to try get get them off him. He was able to get up and run they chased and did this three time. Not one other dog owner intervened. My dog goes to daycare, very sociable. Horrible for him and us.Beware of the bullies at this place

The enclosure has little grass and is primarily sand. The sm dog enclosure gate is too high, my puppy quickly slipped under it 3 times. It is a beautiful location, but needs some attention and TLC. Hard to walk on the sand, chasing the dog could be hazardous. But, it was very nice to let our dogs play off the leash!

So many sweet dogs! Its a great place for our Coco to run around and play with other dogs in a nice, safe environment. There is a large water tank there but I would recommend bring a jub of your own as back up as the one on site has run out in the past. They also provide clean up bags and it has a seperate space for smaller dogs!

This place has potential. It was hard for me to access, being disabled, an issue I brought up before its completion. It is in a dry dirt field with temporary fencing. There werent very many dogs when I went, but the majority were well behaved, with a few exceptions. The biggest problem is that there is no shade. Its very hot, windy on top of a hill, and if its sunny its unbearable, so most of the dogs were hiding under the (awkwardly placed) picnic table. Theres also not water dishes so the dogs are thirsty too, but they do have a water tank so bring your own dish.

This is a really beautiful spot for a dog park. BUT My biggest reason I stopped going after only visiting 3 days consecutively is some of the people are wonderful and friendly and understand dogs and there normal dog like behaviors and the other 50% are rude and very timid about normal dog behavior. I have a medium size dog, beagle mix, 46 pounds. Ive seen multiple people bring there quite small breed dogs into the large dog side. One woman in particular on my last day of visiting had a 3 to 5 pound dog in the large dog fence and then started freaking out that her dog was getting trampled by 50 and 80+ pound dogs during play and she actually had the guts to scream at people and demand they leave (Im talking full bipolar freakout). I was shocked! And then this same woman went to her car and started blowing up handfuls of those little dollar store party balloons and throwing them to the large dogs to pop, now balloons can be extremely dangerous and even deadly if ingested by dogs, when approached by another owner who was concerned that her dog was involved with this she denied the safety concerns and claimed she picks it all up before that is even possible and then kept on throwing balloons. *I will stick to SARATOGA DOG PARK*, I had been going there for over a year and never had an issue with any other dogs or their owners being unkind and unknowledgeable of dog nature until I decided to try out some new scenery at the Luzerne dog park.

Stopped by during a long road trip because it’s close to 87. There were several other dog owners there who were clearly not welcoming to outsiders. The park itself was not very large and the surface was sand/dirt/crabgrass/mud with numerous piles of poop, making it an obstacle course. Tried playing fetch but stopped because we couldn’t trust what the ball (or our dog) could be rolling through. Our dog’s paws were filthy. A grimy experience, literally and figuratively.

Very recently moved to the area for my fiances job and decided to check out this park. We rarely go to dog parks, but thought it could be fun for the dogs since we had just finished a 1hr walk on the nearby Rush Pond Trail. The fences are a bit flimsy, and the gates are high enough for very small dogs to run under. Also, the park is mostly sand/dirt, which were okay with, but maybe others arent. The people we encountered while we were there are the main reason we wont be going back. When we arrived, there was only 1 couple and 2 small dogs in the small dog park. One of their small dogs was very excited, vocal and a little snappy about our arrival. Our youngest of 3 dogs got very excited and vocal. We probably shouldve left then... Got the dogs in, and after a few minutes, the two yappy dogs calmed down. Dogs seemed to be enjoying the park and each other with no problems. One person was making conversation, but kept asking what we thought were very personal questions (Where exactly are you living? Where are you working? Made assumptions on whether my fiance is management or not, etc). Still, that person seemed friendly enough. The main issue arose when another person showed up. Again, the yappy dogs got yappy. The person walked in with her medium-sized dog, said that usually she takes her dog to the large dog park, and promptly started telling my youngest dog to, shh. I understand our youngest dog was being noisy, and we were heading out for that reason, but then the other couple, also with a yappy, snappy, dog, had the nerve to tell my dog to shh. Within 1 minute, I had two people telling my dog to shh, and the other woman exclaimed, Im glad youre not my neighbors! We immediately left. For the record, the dogs have been very quiet in the apartments I have lived in otherwise my previous landlords and neighbors wouldnt have recommended them for my current rental!I understand I was having an issue keeping my dog from barking. As I mentioned in the beginning, we rarely go to dog parks, so the dogs and I are probably lacking some dog park etiquette skills. However, the mightier than thou attitude of the very few people there was very off-putting. Hoping this isnt how people generally are in this area. We will most likely not be going back and would not recommend the park to anyone with less than perfect dogs.
