Canine Playhouse

My Catahoula has been coming here since he was three months old and he sprints to the door every day that he goes, even still at almost a year and a half old. Staff is friendly and give him so much attention. Grooming is available in house, so he always gets his nails trimmed there too. Built his socialization so much since and gets him exercise/avoids the crate as much while Im at work. Package days save ya a little money too if youre going to be using regularly. They post pictures on their Facebook daily so you can also keep tabs on your fuzz ball throughout the day 💓🐾10/10 recommend- Wrangler approved ✔️

I cant say enough about this daycare. We have always had great interaction with the staff and they were great at keeping us informed on what was going on with our pup. It cracks us up to bring him everyday...he would start whining as soon as we would hit Transit. His excitement is always something to behold. He is always so happy to see his friends. We had him groomed a few times and he was always so soft and cuddly after his Spa session. I love the cage free environment. We tried another daycare before going to K9 and our 3 month puppy was thrown in a cage after being too rough with another dog and the owner stated she had 30 dogs and not enough people on to watch him specifically. Needless to say he acted scared out of his mind to go back. This was NEVER his response at K9 Funhouse!!! I really believe that the crew at K9 honestly love dogs and what they do, I know they unconditionally love our pup!

Initially this place was great. My dog had the best time, every single time. I worked in a doggy daycare myself for almost 6 years so I am EXTREMELY knowledgeable in this field. They even asked me to work there!! Lmao I would ask EVERY day how my dog was, was there anything I needed to know etc. so I was always in the “know”. But I always was told how perfect and sweet she was. Then one day I get a call thirty minutes after drop off that another daycare dog that WASNT allowed to come in on Wednesdays. This is to plan for groups and who would get along. This golden retriever named LUCY was testy staff told me and has been in fights before. The staff DIRECTLY told me that my dog went to greet her at the gate and Lucy jumped at her. MY dog had injuries but yet MY dog didn’t initiate. Didn’t harm the other dog. But then I’m told they’re more comfortable allowing the other dog to keep coming but told mine no more. When she didn’t do anything or even touch the other dog. But let’s keep the golden retriever there because of the stigma against pitbulls and you all don’t want to deal with that. It’s my not fault, or my dogs fault that your facility had an incident years ago and that’s why you changed your name from K-9 funhouse to Canine playhouse lol It wasn’t my dogs breed and had no ill factor in this. First off at my daycare, this wouldn’t have even happened lol because we would’ve turned Lucy away. Safety is more important than money. But only the golden retrievers safety right? Keep letting the golden fight there and I’m sure she’ll eventually kill a dog there by allowing her behavior. I’ve spread loud and clear my experience and emotions to my old clients, fellow canine daycare people in my circle, people who ask me for recommendations etc. SHAME ON CANINE PLAYHOUSE!!!

This place is awesome. The people are the most friendly compassionate people I have met relative to dog day cares. Amber, the new owner is very particular about the dogs she accepts and makes sure that the dog will get along with others. They play and interact with the dogs which is like no other place I know. They have inside areas and use outside areas as well. They post pictures all day long of the dog activities and I feel secure that my dog is well cared for and loved while being away from me. I like Amber so much that I now have her watching my dog in her own home when I travel. He goes with her everyday and hangs out with the crew while I am gone. He absolutely loves Amber and her crew and gets so excited when going there.

I have a major back ground/education and a long history in dog handling, including professional showing, dog obedience, breeding and rescue. This place is the best I have found in this area!!! The staff is professional, and knowledgeable about different breeds and temperments of individual dogs. They are extremely picky about what type of dogs are allowed there. Which is a plus for safety for all. It is extremely clean, and you can tell the staff genuinely enjoys their jobs and the dogs!! They are also always coming up with new activities for our fur babies, the newest being a ball pit!!!! I have seen a few bad reviews for this place, not sure if it was the old owner or not, or just squeaky wheels needing attention. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!! Great job Amber and staff!!!!

Our boy Rockie always loves it here. The staff was great and accommodating. They gave him a bath and he was so soft and smooth. We recommend them wholeheartedly.

They take wonderful care of your dog. She is very excited when we arrive because she knows she will have a good time. Their hours are super convenient too! My dog comes home exhausted from playing.

First i just want to start off saying. With a big thank you to all the staff. My 🐕 has never been so happy. In fact he didnt even wanted to leave. I want to thank the new owner. She is super and really care about you and your needs. Also its a great location. Very warm and welcoming. I never go anywhere and i think my little guy will agree as well. Thanks again just simply awesome.

My dog is always super excited when we come here and cant get out of the car fast enough when we pull in the driveway. I love knowing my dog is taken care of and making new friends. The staff are really nice and I always look forward to the feedback when I pick up my dog.

I brought my Corgi in for a grooming. Jennifer was great! 10/10 would highly recommend!

If I could give this place no stars I would. My dog was severely injured at K9 Funhouse, and not only were the proper steps NOT taken to address his injury... they lied about how it happened. I was told by the owner/worker he over stressed his eye while playing fetch with one of the girls, and no other dogs were involved . I was told by ER vet that preformed the surgery to put his eye back in that it was caused by a dog bite, they provided pictures of the puncture wounds above his eye. I’ll let you decide who you’re going to believe. Since going public with the incident lots of people have reached out, including former employees to tell me the awful things that happen here. PLEASE do not take your dog here!

Looking for a place to bring my furbaby. Wanted a tour but was denied. Claim was dogs could jump, meaning there was no barrier when door was opened. Girl @ desk seemed very uninformed. Not allowed to tour when dogs are there - what is the point?! Not able to see staff supervising or interacting w pups does not give anyone an idea or understanding of the quality of care or their knowledge of working w dogs. Will look for another place.

An amazing place to bring your dog to play while you work! The staff is amazing...it is my dogs home away from home! We highly recommend this doggy daycare!!!

I wouldn’t consider using them because they leave their dog outside in a pen all the time.

Since the change of ownership in early 2019 the business has done nothing but blow me away. Between the staff and the facility you couldnt ask for much better. Amber puts her heart and soul into her business doing the absolute most for both her staff and clients. Constantly trying to improve her business and keep everyone as happy as she can.
