Kathy is the best! So patient and knowledgeable. I have a 4 yr old rescue and she’s quite wild. Thankfully my pup is very smart and food motivated. Some of the behaviors will take some time, but in just 5 sessions, and me doing my homework, my pup and I are so much smarter.
Kathy was very patient and kind with us and our puppy who has a hearing impairment. She helped us learn a foundation and teach Annie the basics! She is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to canines and definitely is very passionate about her work. Thanks for your help with our Annie!
Our dog Samson was having some behavioral issues with resource guarding as well as basic commands, so we decided to reach out to Kathy for assistance. She taught us how to use a clicker and positive reinforcement. This worked great for Samson and we have seen drastic improvements in his behavior. You can tell she is very passionate about her work. We would recommend her to anyone seeking dog training services. Thank you Kathy for all your help!
We took one of our dogs as she was having have issues, and she gave us such a great foundation. Which we were able to use with our other dogs. We are still a work in progress but going in the right direction.Thank you for your help
There is absolutely no doubt as to Kathy’s love of animals as soon as you meet her. This in addition to her dedication to a positive training experience made K-10 a tremendous experience for both myself and 9-month old Chocolate Labrador puppy.Lola had two significant behavioral issues. She would bark incessantly until she got her way. Kathy demonstrated how to address this and ensured that I as the owner was able to address it also with success. Secondly as she gained weight, walking her on a leash was very unpleasant and unsafe for both of us. Kathy helped introduce her to the use of a Gentle Leader. Now we both look forward to many walks each day.Thank you Kathy from both myself and now my one year old Lola! 🐾❤️
I took my 6.5 month old puppies to Kathy to start training. My husband was getting frustrated with them so we started with Kathy. He and everyone else who comes around the pups have noticed a HUGE difference with their behavior and how well behaved they have become. Kathy has been amazing and has customized the trainings based on each dog. My one dog is the laziest puppy ever and she is able to keep him interested and learning. My other pup is a butt head with alot of energy and some occasional negative behavior. Kathy has worked with both and my son and I to give them each the training they need. I can not say enough good things about Kathy. We will continue to go to her as long as the puppies are still learning and most likely long after as a refresher for them and us. She not only has taught our pups but she has also taught my son and I so much about training, consistency and how to work with each dog separately but also together. We were able to take the pups on their first walk without being dragged or pulled. 5 stars all the way.
The facility was very clean and dog friendly. Scheduling was flexible. We especially appreciated the one on one training model. Not only did our puppy benefit, we did as well. The training included understanding how dogs think and their behaviors as a result. It was amazing to see Kathy work with our puppy! She truly enjoys what she does!
Kathy at K-10 is amazing! One of the many things that is great about her is that she is constantly learning and taking classes herself to expand her knowledge to understand behaviors and techniques to help her clients even more! She is also very caring, patient and teaches you how to have patience with your dog and go at their pace. She has given us the fundamentals to work with and it is going great! Our Milly loves going to our training sessions every week and gets excited as soon as she figures out where we are heading. We are now signed up for our 3rd set of five week sessions and cannot wait to continue our lessons!Thank you Kathy for training Milfred and teaching me!
Wonderful place to go. We have a rescue who is shy, nervous, and particular about things. I was able to work continuously with him (at home and in class) given Kathy’s direction and guidance to help him overcome some of his discomforts (nail trimming & the vet). It’s been a long process but it’s worth it. No more nervous vet visits, easier nail trim sessions, and our dog is way more relaxed. Kathy is knowledgeable, patient, kind, and dedicated to helping. Perfect place to go for a positive dog training experience!!!
Excellent to work with!I brought my 7 year old rescue -he showed up under my car in not the best shape- in and now he is fantastic on leash! He started only knowing sit, now he comes when called, down, loose leash walks (oh goodness did he pull before)...I know Buster definitely benefited from going to K10! And I have the tools to do some of the fun tricks if I want to. We started working on crawling for fun on his last class. If I have any questions I know I can call. I would recommend K10 to anyone. She is willing to work with your schedule and tailor to your dog. Some dogs may need more time than others, but putting in the work both in and outside of class is definitely key here. She also has a wonderful facility - I started indoors to get those basic commands started, and eventually (and in nice weather) you can work in the fenced yard to increase distractions around your dog.
Kathy has been tremendous help with training our 1.5 year old German Shepard/Illyrian Sheep dog mix. We got her when she was 2 months old, started to show pretty high aggression towards everybody except family members and even within family, at 4 months. Kathy has been working with us since Karma was 8 months old and thankfully to her dedications we now have a dog we can take to park, dog which we can leave at home without her destroying half of property and we continue working with her towards accepting non-family members in the house. Kathy also was a tremendous help in finding other resources to help Karma (behavioral veterinarian). Kathy has been patient, understanding and brave - Karma has been an extremely difficult dog to train (her Illyrian Sheepdog heritage contribution), but we are making progress and would highly recommend Kathy to any dog owner.
If your dog needs basic training and does not require any specific help, K 10 will help you understand how to start. If your dog needs help with keeping commands with distractions, this may not be a good fit.
Worked to help me with training my dog as I try to get him to pay attention to me! She was very accommodating and patient with us!
The place was nice. Its like a dog heaven. Lots of places to run, clean water bowls and the best part is the nice person who is the trainer there. Totally recommend.
Kathy was absolutely amazing to work with. Our pup Bella loved her, she was flexible with scheduling and she genuinely cared about Bella and helping us work thru any issues we had along the way. I highly recommend her for all you training needs!!
Kathy helped us tremendously in teaching us how to train our 3-4 month old Boykin Spaniel. Kathy was clear, concise, patient, flexible and extremely knowledgeable. Every class provided several new training techniques. Our little puppy learned sit, down, stay, come and combinations of all of the above. My husband and I learned what we need to do going forward now that we have the basic obedience down. We highly recommend K-10 training.
It was very good looking forward to working on my dog very informative orientation very perfetional
