I have to say that this place is awesomeI walked in there with my three cats with no appointment and the staff help me out right away.I told him my story about how I have fleas in my house and that the exterminator is there. Can she wash my cats for me and cut their nails she did it without hesitation and help me out. She also gave me a lot of insight about fleas and how to get rid of them in your house. If they come back, my Also, what flea collars were the best and what not to use an also, what flea collars were the best to use on your cat and not to put a dog one on your cat it can kill them .experience with this place was so good.I recommend it highly *****Thank you so much for all the help you have given me .

Paws N Claws grooming does an amazing job with my dog. I have been taking Benny there since he was a few months old, and have been going here for almost 3 years now. His cut is so perfect, never too short, you can see the detail they put into grooming him. He leaves there happy, safe, never any issues. Everyone who works there is so caring and gentle with him. I would HIGHLY recommend Paws N Claws!!

After almost 25 years as a loyal customer, I will be finding another groomer because I am tired of the rude, unprofessional behavior of the owner and her daughter. Yesterday I picked up my 16 year old dog who has been groomed there almost every five weeks for more than 10 years. I noticed stray hairs under his belly and groin as well as some stragglers on his legs. I asked the friendly young woman at the counter to trim these off. As she did, it was clear by the amount of hair falling on the floor that not enough detail had been given to his grooming. I get it, sometimes this happens. I wasn’t upset or angry and I was grateful it was being addressed before I left the store front.For me the last straw was the reaction of the owner and her daughter as they left their grooming stations and came to the front counter to see what was happening. I was shocked by their rude, unprofessional comments as the owner insisted my dog looked great, that there was only so much they could do about his hair because he’s an “old dog”. The owner and her daughter were angry that I would even question the job they did and when she asked me for the third time, “doesn’t he look great?”, I said “Nope” and pointed to the floor where all the newly trimmed hair had fallen. This caused a whole new wave of grumbling comments and denials from both the owner and her daughter. It would have been professional of them to take responsibility and apologize. Instead, their nasty behavior and eye rolling was enough for me to decide I’ll never use them again.Today I called to cancel my next two appointments. The owner was honey sweet as she asked why but when I tried to recap the above conversation, she actually denied having said anything at all to me yesterday. I was shocked. Talk about feeling gaslighted! I am so done.The shame of it is that they do a good job grooming, and my dog loved going there. Too bad I just can’t take it any more. At this point I’m prepared to pay more for a mobile groomer or any another groomer, as long as I’m treated with respect and gratitude for the loyal customer I am.

My dog and all my family’s dogs that come here have NEVER looked better. This is the only place I trust to bring my dog in for a grooming. I love everyone that works there they are great and all very professional. I always recommend Paws n Claws to everyone. Nothing but good feed backs from them too. The owner groomed my 13.5 year old husky who is not a fan of baths. The staff was so great with my dog, you can tell that they truly love animals. They had told me 3 pm he would be ready and called 2 hours earlier! I will definitely be bringing Logan back to get groomed. I have lived in Miller Place for 6+ years and it took me this long to find our groomer!!!

Terrible experience!! I would not recommend this place to no one. I came in to ask a simple question which was “I have two 6 month old kittens and I would like to know how much is it to groom them” and while I was talking to the front desk lady which was really friendly the owner came out of nowhere telling me it was $70. She then went on to lecture me telling me that if my kittens scratch me when I take them a bath that means that they can scratch her too. I understand that my kittens are aggressive in that way because they don’t like taking a bath but in my understanding all kittens are like that. I felt that it was unprofessional for her to lecture me like that, if I’m bringing you my kittens to you it’s because you are professional in your job but that just made me realize that she is nowhere close to professional. It’s one thing to be truthful to your clients and a whole other situation when you try to lecture and talk rude to your clients. At the end of the day your clients are the ones that give you business. However, thank you for the front desk lady that was respectful, and friendly to me.

Hi ! I dont usually post reviews however I need to when it comes to Liz and her great crew of young dog lovers !! I have been going to Liz for years ,my boy is getting older. Liz always loves our fur babies is whatever stage of life and needs they have. This place but mostly the people who work and care for our dogs are truly the best !! Thank you All ❤️

Liz and Tory are warm people. The environment is cozy and they care about supporting dogs and dog lovers. I walked in to share about my canine business. Excellent personalities 👌is a must when in a serious business. Impressed and appreciate their time for little ol me!

My long haired cat needed a grooming. His hair was knotted and he needed help! Paws n Claws helped my kitty. Took the time to give him a handsome haircut, clipped nails, bathed him as well as smelling awesome!!! Everyone in the shop were super nice especially the owner! Definitely will be returning!! :)

My dogs were a bit scruffy and the owner lectured me and was extremely rude. She told me I bit off more than I could chew with 2 hair dogs. She told me to bring my husband when I picked up the dogs and told me it was inhumane. $100 per dog and the dogs are 20 lbs each. My husband was trying to leave the store after he picked up the dogs. She didnt like what he had to say so the owner was blocking my husbands truck with her body. She is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I would never recommend this place. Absolutely a horrible experience and a very uncomfortable situation.

Our family owns a calendar ready medium to long haired Russian Blue/Maine Coon mix...well, I should say owned...We brought our family cat to Paws & Claws and they ruined her. She came back and did not even look like the same cat. When she was dropped off we asked them to shave her hind region to prevent sticky poop situations and leave the rest of her alone just like previous times. We also ask for no blow dryer since it freaks her out and they did that anyway (on multiple occasions). The worst part is when I called to confront them about it they wouldnt have the decency to admit their error and offered us a measly $20 off our next visit. What on Earth makes you think we are coming back. Before you are quick to judge about this posting please note, we do know that the hair will grow back but this is going to take a long time. Our cat coat looks mangled and horrible. We are NOT happy at all about this and would not suggest this business to anyone. It is hardly a business if you do not know how to run it. Especially if you are not honest with your customers.

Terrible, bordering on abuse. Owner seems to care for money more then the welfare of your pet. Both my dogs were injured, resulting in expensive trips to the vet. and medications. The injuries were the result of brushing them so hard she ripped the hair right out of them, and then becoming infected. I also requested that one of them should receive some water and was assured she would, she didnt. I can only imagine how much pain they were in. The fact that our pets have no voice we as pet owners should be advocates for them. Writing this review has lead me to my next step, contacting the ASPCA. I have photographs of the injuries that will be shared with the ASPCA. Please, if you care for your pet find another groomer.

Not only is the staff at Paws n claws friendly and accommodating they take their time and do an excellent job. My dog has never looked so good. I highly recommend paws n claws to anyone looking to get their dog bathed and groomed.

I brought in two dogs one of which has a shaggy very thick fur. They did an amazing job and my dog looks and feels awesome . I highly recommend this place due to the professionalism and experience. Thanks for taking such wonderful care and all the hard work they did.

The ladies were wonderful and listened to how I wanted my baby trimmed.

Just brought my cat here for the first time, he’s so friendly and i’m so happy everyone there enjoyed him. he has some dry skin that flares up around winter and the owner washed him which definitely soothed his skin. he’s all clean, smells so good and he’s so happy. overall really happy with this place.

Absolutely love bringing my 1 year old shih tzu here. They are very knowledgeable and do a great job. They call to remind you for appointments and are very accommodating. My dog is very welcome here and she always comes back looking great!

I took my puppy Lucy here for the first time today! I can not say enough about this place. They were so friendly and professional. My puppy looks so cute thanks to them. I will definitely be bringing my girl back here. Thank you Liz and her family for everything.

I put 4 stars because I havent had my dogs groomed here yet. But I did go in and tried to make an appointment. The owner was in the store and very friendly. She was organized and seemed to have a firm grasp of her business. Her calendar was very full and my needs( weird work times) didnt fit with her business(or anyone elses). This is not a slight, she is open on Saturdays which is almost unheard of for a groomer. If I ever have a change in schedule, I would -without hesitation take them here. If I do get the pleasure of bringing my dogs here, I will re-post.

I have been taking my dogs to Paws and Claws for well over 10 years. All three of my poodles had specific issues that needed special care, and Paws and Claws was the only groomer that I felt I could trust to get it right. They were very gentle and patient with my toy poodle that was very old and fragile. My standard poodle always looked like a show dog when he came out of their shop. Now I have a blind 10 year old miniature poodle that is skittish, and bites . Not only do they love him and treat him with firm respect - he gets excited when he knows hes going there and he always looks gorgeous when I pick him up.

I totally disagree with these negative posts! Paws N Claws is an all open salon, so you cant get any better than that! I can see everything that they are doing, which to me, tells me that they have nothing to hide. I own a pitbull; she is the most loving animal that i could ever have and as nice as my dog is, most other groomers denied any service because of their reputation. Paws N Claws was the only place that did not judge or turn me away. One of the negative posts said something about fleas, dogs dont get fleas from groomers unless their dirty; and of course you are going to have to clean your house any way. maybe thats why your dog got fleas in the first place. I love that the owner is honest with me in which is what is best for my dog!Also theyre not out of business, i think it was mixed up with the other place that used to be in applebees shopping center. But any way. I will only bring my dog to Paws N Claws, my dog runs in there like its her second home and comes back with the same excitement. The patients they have for each dog is impeccable. There is no way that the owner Liz or her staff would hurt any dog in any way, shape or form; like one of the other post said. If your dog is not taken care of or bathed for months, then of course there will be a skin irritation. My other dog who is a lhasa, has skin problems due to allergies, Liz recommended a shampoo that we use every time I bring her, her skin has gotten A LOT better. For all you negative people and posts, stop blaming the groomer and start taking responsibility for your pet! other wise, dont have one!
