Alpha Obedience Dog Training

I can not speak highly enough about Frank and his team at Alpha Obedience. Frank took the time to understand my goals and concerns for our German Shepherd. Our obedience classes consisted of several weeks of one on one training with Frank. Once Frank was comfortable with Shermans progress, we moved to group sessions to have Sherman become comfortable interacting with other dogs and people. My once stubborn, leash pulling, aggressive tornado of a puppy is now a completely different dog. The staff is extremely professional and the facility is immaculate. It is obvious that they love what they do and view each dog as a member of their Alpha Family. It was no surprise that they won the 2024 Best of Mohawk Valley Communitys Choice Award for best pet training!

Frank is highly dedicated and passionate about training dogs, and it shows in the work he does. If you are in need of dog training this is the place you want to go! They make sure everyone gets the knowledge needed to keep training even after the classes are over, which they also offer a variety of classes. Training a dog is never easy but with the tools they provide it becomes easier. Thank you Alpha Obedience Training for taking such great care of us and our lover boy Odin.

We highly recommend Alpha Obedience for training. It was our puppy Sophie’s favorite day of the week and she looked forward to going. Let’s be honest, the owners often need more training than the dogs do! Frank and Bianca were kind and straightforward with suggesting changes in our own behavior. We also love that we have access to training videos that we can go back to at any time.

5 stars is definitely not enough for Alpha Obedience it deserves a thousand stars. Frank and Bianca are knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate people who love to see you and your dog succeed. Ruger our Fox red Lab puppy loved going to school( as we called it). Each week we look forward to learning more about how to communicate with him in a way that he can understand and how to employ tactics to help him learn. The time Frank and Bianca spend with us is very much appreciated. The best part is they don’t stop at graduation, if you need refreshers their door is always open. We will definitely be coming back to do sent training since our Ruger’s nose never stops. At Alpha Obedience you are part of a community of people with a common interest (training their dogs), but even more, Alpha Obedience Dog Training makes you feel like family. I was a little nervous taking my dog to training because he is completely deaf. Frank did an amazing job and I would recommend everyone I know to go through the program.

If you are in search of a great dog training school, I would highly recommend Alpha Obedience. The rates is very reasonable and there is no limit on number of classes which really helped my dog, and me. Frank And Bianca are honest, straight forward but kind. My dog, Kailani, LOVES going there. We will be signing up for another type of training with Alpha Obedience!

Alpha Obedience Dog Training school is the best!! My high energy puppy easily learned the basic commands and then some. She loves going to class and adores her trainer. I’ve also learned so much about training her at home and correcting behavior, soooo helpful!

The owner, Frank, was always very attentive and helpful. He showed sincere concern for our dog and was always willing to offer suggestions to further the training experience at home and offer ways that we could customize the training to our dogs needs. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a qualified, committed trainer with an obvious love of dogs.

I couldn’t be more happy with the support, knowledge and patience that Frank and Bianca provided. Even though my dog is 11yo, she was experiencing a lack of confidence/anxiety, and the training plus understanding her place and behavior was super helpful for both of us! This is a wonderful business. Professional and extremely knowledgeable. They worked with me and our family to provide the appropriate input so we could be the dogs trainers and get the requisite response and behavior modification. The training doesn’t work if the owner doesn’t. Thank you for providing our foundation.

Frank knows his stuff! Its so refreshing to see someone who actually knows AND loves what hes doing, and Bella is responding! Hes helping me to understand my dog, and teaching me the building blocks to help her become all she can be! Thanks again Frank and ALPHA OBEDIENCE!!

After our first class my dog Lexi would get pretty happy every time we got there. My 17lb Boston Terrier couldn’t get inside fast enough dragging me behind. (I let her) She loved it there and responded so well to the instructions we both learned. We both learned a lot! I wholeheartedly appreciate AODT and recommend them.

We brought our 5 month old German Shepherds and they were amazing! So helpful and knowledgeable. Frank had no issues explaining and showing different techniques on how to teach our dogs. I would recommend them and would use them again for any additional training

We had a wonderful experience bringing our puppy Georgie for training here!! They are extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much. You get one on one sessions as well as group sessions to practice alongside other dogs in training. Georgie had a blast!!

Frank is absolutely amazing with every dog! i was worried about getting my XL bully trained due to his breed/size/strength and he listened to my concerns and guaranteed that we would be okay. Rampage was attacked as a puppy which resulted in aggression towards dogs larger than him but Frank gave us the tools and the chance to learn and now he has no issues with other dogs being in his space! he has recently graduated and we’re allowed to come back for group whenever necessary! definitely looking into some of the other courses they offer here. thank you to both frank and his sister for welcoming us with open arms and giving us their all every session!!

Alpha Obedience Dog training helped my dog in so many ways. Frank listened to my concerns and made suggestions. He also taught me new ways of engaging with my dog and teaching me how to carry out the new things we where working on. They offer refresher classes and also offered videos online so you can watch what you learned in class, so you can practice at home.

We adopted a 4 year old shepherd mix that had been through a lot of physical and emotional trauma in his life. We enrolled Mason in Alpha Dog Obedience classes and Frank helped him to be a more confident dog who is now comfortable in his environment. He is becoming less fearful, more relaxed and generally a happier dog. The structure of the program was ideal for Mason. We were encouraged to take as many private classes as we felt was necessary before moving on to group classes all for the one time enrollment fee. We never felt rushed in the learning process and was encouraged to ask as many questions as needed to work through our issues. We just recently graduated from the program but we’re encouraged to come back frequently if needed for more group if /when we wanted, again, included in the initial fee. The facility is spacious, clean and welcoming and everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

Frank is great. My dog Marco gets all excited when he sees Frank in the doorway. Frank makes the class fun and easy to understand + his videos help you with training at home. Cant wait to start the next group of classes.

Great experience with Alpha Obedience. Patient and knowledgeable. Listened to concerns and needs specific to my dog. So much improvement with the program. Enjoyed both individual and group sessions. The training videos are very helpful. Will return for continued training and activities.

AODT knows their stuff! They taught me how to teach my Remi. She has made great progress and I will continue working with her. I would 100% recommend! Very knowledgeable!

10/10 would recommend Alpha Obedience to anyone inquiring about training! Frank and his team were so flexible with scheduling and helped me completely transform my 3 year old dog’s behavior. They truly mean it when they say “we don’t count classes”! Everything was at my dog’s pace and I’m so grateful I trained with them!!

We brought our chocolate lab there and they helped so much, they made me feel more confident training him and he was a different dog within weeks of starting there and they are always willing to help as long as you put in the work. Theyre great! Recommend to everyone!

We recently adopted our boy, Phoenix, and he showed some aggressive tendencies. We contacted Alpha Obedience and they were able to get us in quickly. Since we have been working with Frankie, we have learned how to work with Phoenix to keep his mind occupied, his behavior has gotten better by leaps and bounds and he’s starting to overcome his high rank drive. We cannot recommend AOD and Frankie enough - they are professional, helpful, honest and I’m excited for our Phoenix to become an even better doggo.

Our German Shepherd puppy gleefully hops into the car when we ask her if she is ready for training. Calling Alpha Obedience Dog Training was the best decision I made after adopting a 2 year old retriever mix. They are family oriented, flexible, and great with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. My goal coming into the program was to teach Theo basic obedience and leash training, but we learned so much more. I highly recommend AODT!

Fantastic gentle training group!! They know their dogs and know how to work with the most difficult breeds. My goldendoodle was so stubborn and they got him to change his mind set. My Jake went from 0 to wow so quickly. It takes less time than you think. You put in the work and they will help you get there. Its easy. I have never regretted working with Alpha.
