Dans Kennels

I love my dog and he is generally healthy and happy but he came home with ear and body mites. There were 3 dogs with mange 8 away. My puppys picture is posted as available today 4+ months later. When I went out I was told both dogs that were available hours before were suddenly adopted together. Many of the dogs listed are simply not there despite what Dan says and shows online.

Got my boy Harvey from here and he is the best pup !! He is super healthy no health issues to date and he just turned 1 1/2 years old!! I will definitely come back in the future when im ready for another pup. Highly recommended

We got our guy about a year ago! He was very reasonably priced, well kept and has zero issues. This facility was very clean and owner was great! He even helped me to obtain AKC papers a year later for him!! Highly recommend

We got our little dude Bohdi from Dan’s almost four years ago and are planning on picking up another dog from him very soon. Healthy, happy and no complaints. They’re very professional and kind. Don’t really get the hate for this place.

I bought a 8mo old cavachon, GREAT PRICE AND CHEAPER THEN MOST PLACES that sale DOGS. He is the best dog i ever had. When i got him he was antisocial and standoffish and new to a lot of things but now hes totally house broken, know a few commands, he dont chew on anything in the home. He loves me like crazy and like going for walks outside and playing w toys. He tought me to be patient and pay close attention . I learned a lot about his ways and behavior and he adapted to his new environment. I made sure i took time to bond with him so he could get past all his fears of a new place. I will totally go back for a another puppy. Thanks

I’m not sure why this place has bad reviews. I brought my 8 week old cockapoo and she was fine. I believe she had kennel cough but that’s usual. She is fine now. They give you all the paperwork you need including shot records, health records, they set you up with a program so you can get a laminated birth certificate, and all dogs are chipped. Good deal.

Very clean. And, I cant say enough on the whole experience. From the atmosphere of how well treated their dogs are to how helpful they are with their customers. I would recommend to anyone looking to add another member to their family.

We found our best friend ever at Dans Kennels! The facility is huge and state of the art. The kennels are clean, roomy and full of happy puppies! Dan took time to answer our questions and even gave our puppy a bath before we left. Looking forward to another visit in the future for a play mate for Anna.

I got by beloved Siborgi there. I came in 2 days after putting down my previous dog and they were very understanding. Brought out the two remaining litter mates, and were very professional. They had all the right medical records and history and certificates as well as all his shots up to date. I dread the day but I will likely return when the time comes for my next dog.

Picked up our second dog from Dans kennel last month, and she is obviously perfect. Our new mini Dachshund is in great health along with our now 3 year old lab we bought from him 3 years ago.

I was unsure about this place when I read the reviews. So happy I went to see for myself. I bought my golden doodle from Dan 2 years ago and she has been the best dog ever. I took her right to the vet to get checked and he said she was a healthy pup

Extremely happy with Dans Kennels and with Dan himself. He is very knowledgeable and patient. My wife has difficulty making any kind of decision and he helped her decide on the new member of our family.

We purchased a male shih tzu from Dans. Ours was the last one from his litter. Fortunately the staff put up with us while my 6 year old daughter and I sat with each prospective dog that was available for purchase. They brought the puppies out and we were able to see them interact with each other and with children ( we were not the only people there) All together we spent a good 4 hours with them, the staff answered all of our questions. The owner himself came out and helped us personally until we decided on our Buddy. The price we paid was unbeatable anywhere. He told us upfront of associated fees so there were no surprises. Of course he guaranteed our purchase. All in all I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a puppy. Yes they had many dogs but I understand they are professional breeders who are well regarded nationwide. The facility was very clean and all tne animals appeared to be very well taken care of.Dans takes every precaution to eliminate any possiblity of inbreeding of the dogs (he explaine his exact breeding system to us) We are very happy with our dog and wouldnt trade him for anything. I absolutely loved my puppies from Dans, but neither was very healthy. They definitely do not let you see Moms and pens and things, so it gives a puppy mill kind of feel. Ive heard rumors and then heard that the rumors were started bc of a bad divorce, I dont know about any of that. Just, both of my pups had stomach and urinary issues. One developed diabetes, the other died at 8 years - not great for little, supposedly healthy dogs. Great personalities, though. Just, buyer beware.

I recently got a puppy from Dan. She is the sweetest most lovable dog you would ever meet! She is healthy, smart, and happy! We call her “Wiggles” because when she wags her tail her whole body wiggles! Dan was so nice to work with and could tell that he really loves his dogs! Mine was a breeder release, and is 2. She’s still a puppy and acts like it too! Dan gives them new homes when there young so that they can have a family! I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely get a puppy from here again! The place was spotless clean. Dan called us right back and was very helpful to all of our questions! Lola( my dog) had all of her vaccines and he even gave her a bath before we took her home! She’s a big love and am so thankful for Dan helping us find her!

I came to dans kennels looking for a little puppy to bring home. He had a great variety, and a very clean space for the animals. We ended up taking home two chihuahua mix males and we could not be happier. They are great dogs that fit in with our family so well. And his prices are perfect, love this place and will be recommending this business to all my family and friends!

I took my wife there to get her a puppy for Mothers Day. Its a beautiful ride out to Dans Kennels. When we got there, we were amazed at how clean the place was, which cant be easy given the amount of puppies that are there. There were no foul smells and the puppies were all extremely clean, well groomed, and clearly well taken care of. We literally looked at every puppy in the place, carefully screening each one for a potential new member of our family. Never once did we feel pressured to buy. The staff was extremely polite, gracious, and knowledgeable; answering all of our many questions about the breeds and how they would fare with our dog at home. Even questions from my 5 year old were answered without the condescending attitude that normally accompanies childrens questions. They have everything you could possibly need on site, eliminating the need to stop at a pet store on the way home. My beautiful wife left that day with the puppy of her dreams and so did I. By that I mean, I got a puppy that day as well. We came home with two new members of our family and they are the best dogs Ive ever owned. If youre looking for clean, well taken care of puppies, in a flawlessly clean place, with a kind and knowledgeable staff, where the prices are significantly less than youll find in the Buffalo area, I HIGHLY recommend this place. If youve seen a bad review of this place, please consider the source. I guarantee if you take the ride out there, youll see for yourself why I will only buy puppies from here for the rest of my life.

I bought an adult dog from them and I might as well have gotten a puppy because she wasn’t potty trained, she was matted, she definitely wasn’t properly fed, and she wasn’t trained. It’s about a year later and she now knows to go out side and has recently learned how to sit because of me. Getting her made me realize this is a puppy mill. They use these adults just for puppies then when they’re finished they get rid of them after not taking proper care of them. Literally stop buying from this dude.

This is an unbelievably clean kennel!The dogs and puppies have such roomy spaces and lots of toys to play with.The service we received was excellent. Dan is super efficient. Three weeks ago we put our deposit down and brought our puppy home today. Couldnt be happier with the experience from the first phone call to today. Thank You Dan.

Only thing I didn’t like about this place is that they weren’t very informative. I do love my puppy teddy. He was timid at first but now he’s very loving, energetic, and fun to have.

I bought a Maltese 15 years ago from Dans Kennels and when I went there the place was clean and the dogs look very healthy and happy. I was very pleased with hes service I got paper work and instructions on how to take care of puppy. My dog is still with me never had health issue with him. Good temperament. He was happy and playful all of them responded very well with him when I went to purchase him. Thank you so much for breeding such beautiful Maltese he is still healthy and happy dog and I love him dearly!!

We purchased a chocolate lab from there in 2018….the poor pup was locked in a dark closet, didn’t know how to walk, run or play as a pup due to being stuck in a cage & closet!! His paws aren’t normal from being at that place! He’s the sweetest boy & love him to death. We had to teach him to walk, run , etc. the condition of that place was terrible & poor dogs all crunched in a kennel with wire flooring . They sent him home with us with this yucky creamy liquid stuff & we tossed it out . He still has scars on feet from sleeping on cement floors . Glad we rescued him from there!!!

I was a little nervous about purchasing a puppy from here because of the bad reviews, but I saw a basset hound puppy on the website and fell in love. The place was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and all the puppies seemed happy & healthy. Ive seen other reviews where people complain that the puppies they bought are unfriendly and scared of humans due to being in a kennel. I have not had this experience at all with my puppy, she is constantly cuddling up next to me. I brought her to the vet for a checkup and everything went great. No health problems & the vet said that it looks like she had a good start at life at Dans kennels. I would definitely recommend this place. Im very happy with the service and my puppy!

My wife and I bought Bandit (a male shih tzu) from Dans 11 years ago. We unfortunately just had to put him down, but he gave us the best 11 years of our lives. Bandit had always struggled with other dogs, but that could be because we never exposed him to other dogs when he was a puppy, so that may have been our fault. Although I dont remember every aspect of visiting the kennel, or purchasing Bandit, I do remember the fact that there werent any issues and we were lucky enough to have a sweet angel in our lives for 11 years. When we are finally ready to move on and get another puppy, we will certainly not hesitate to reach out to Dans again.

We got our Silver Lab from Dan’s 2years ago the facility was clean and staff was very nice and helpful. Our lab is so cuddly, friendly, sweet lab I have ever been around and I have had three other labs in the past. No medical conditions and our vet from day one has said he’s in great health and condition. I would recommend and definitely would get another dog from here again when it’s time.

We got our chocolate lab here. Our first visit was a unannounced visit. The facility was clean and had no odors that you might expect.There was a group of young teens outside in a fenced area playing with several puppies.We walked through areas that did have many different breeds of puppies.All were active, kennels were large and clean.We picked our puppy up our puppy the next day. Again numerous teenagers outside with the puppies. Facility was again clean with several dogs freely walking inside the main buildingShe had been bathed, nails cut, ready for a new home.We took her to our vet 2 days after we got her.He said she was well taken care of, free from any problems. 10 months later, she is still A happy , healthy dog.Friends also got a lab-a -doddle there. Their dog is also a healthy dog.

I would never buy another dog from here. My second English bulldog that I purchased from here became sick within the first couple of days I had brought him home. There wasn’t much information about the parents of my dog. After the first few days of having Teddy home with me, he had a respiratory infection and had to be hospitalized at my vet’s office for two nights. When this happened I called to explain everything that had happened, and he didn’t call me back. This to me shows that Dan doesn’t care about the quality of puppies he is selling, these poor puppies are nothing but a profit to him. It will be a great day when he is no longer in business.

I have recently purchased a little yellow lab who is as sweet as can be. My experience with Dan was a wonderful one!! Awesome staff that are extremely helpful and very neat and clean facility which is an added plus. Dan seems like a great guy who loves dogs just as much as I do! Im confused as to how people could say this facility is a puppy mill when these puppies and dogs are not living in inhumane conditions. Dan was very thorough and helpful during this process since this is the first time Ive ever purchased my own furry friend :) Thank you Dan for my little Ellie, shes an amazing puppy already!

Me and my boyfriend were skeptical cause of mixed reviews. Everyones beliefs are different on how to take care of dogs or puppies. Even me and my boyfriend had to compromise on feeding schedule, sleeping schedule, crate training, outside or pad training.... etc.We went to Dans looking for one puppy. The place was clean and animals looked taken care of. I fell in love with a puppy before i even walked through the door. He was in Dans arms. I knew right away he was the one but we went inside and looked around at all the other puppies. And we both fell in love with another puppy. We couldnt decide between the two so we bought them both. Its been two weeks now, a lot of hard work, and discipline training two puppies at once but we dont regret our decision. We took puppies to the vet and they both got check ups and were deemed healthy puppies

Purchasing our Dachshund five years ago was the best thing I have done! Our dog is truly my best friend and has brought much joy to me, my wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He came from a spotless kennel, NOT a puppy mill!! Dan and his staff were very helpful! Great experience!Norm

This is a puppy mill. We just had to euthanize our 15 MONTH old Labrador retriever that we got from Dans due to severe genetic neurological issues (per two different vet diagnosis). He suffered with seizures and inflammation in the brain. We tried every treatment method available. My poor boy had issues since day one but made great strides in all areas except for what he couldn’t control. Our dog had terrible anxiety, especially fear of men since we got him, did not know what a toy or grass was when we got him at 16 weeks old. He also had vision issues, bladder, and kidney issues as well all in his short little life. What heartbreak myself, my wife, and my three young children have experienced as a direct result of poor breeding and breeding environment. I wish I’d have done more research before getting my boy since every dog bought there just keeps the vicious cycle going. At least he had a beautiful life with us while he was here.Edited to respond to the owners reply:We never contacted you again after we bought him. Once we realized the gravity of the fact that we got our dog from a puppy mill we never would’ve taken him back to you for any reason on earth.My name isn’t in your database as Char Ger. Look up sales of a 16 week male labs on March 18-20th of last year. To act as if this review couldn’t be true is ridiculous and wildly offensive. However, no surprise now that I know how horrible your kennel is. Clearly my families pain and the pain of losing our dog means nothing to you. I just want to share our story so people don’t support your puppy mill.

I was looking into purchasing a puppy and live near the area. Breeders should focus on one or two breeds and raise dogs with care in a focused environment. They should know and understand that breed to both create good dogs but also care for a living breathing animal. Being that they seem to view dogs as livestock, I will not be purchasing from people with so few ethical considerations.Also, some of these 5-star reviews seem fake. There are consistent text patterns in many of the higher reviews like multiple exclamation marks, the same flow stating the heath, and ending in saying they would get another dog. Who says that? When my dog dies, ill come back! Seems off to me. I read a lot of reviews for many products and have never seen so many people use capital letters or come back after 8 years to report their dog is healthy? 🧐🧐For the breeder: I contacted you about a dog a few months ago. You only cared about the money. It was evident in your voice. I hope one day you can look yourself in the face and understand what and why you are wrong and grow from it.

Stopped in today with a decent amount of skepticism based off the nasty Yelp, and google reviews. My wife and I are trying to buy a puppy and wanted to take a look at Dans.Pros: Place was clean - the one girl working seemed nice. Great selection of breeds, All the dogs seemed friendly and appeared healthy. Prices are reasonable.Cons: My reservations are most dogs appeared to have come from amish breeders from Ohio and Pennsylvania. I highly recommend people to google Amish breeders- they dont all have the best of reputations.We didnt end up buying a dog from Dans, but I may still consider.

Harley, our Cavachon is the best! They were warm and very personable. The place was clean and that goes for the dog showroom not just the front store area. Will buy again from Dans!

Two years ago I bought a Siberian Husky. Today he is simply the best dog I ever could have asked for. I thank Dan and the Kennel for providing such a great dog! Highly reccomend this place!!! They make it easy and affordable.

Listen, I know if you’re looking at reviews you probably want a dog...but I’m telling you, do not buy from a puppy mill. You can find a place so much better than this place. I’ve seen way too many reviews on this (Facebook etc) and how the dogs are treated or how when someone buys from here, their dog literally doesn’t know how to be a dog because of their living condition at the kennel. Find someone who treats their dogs wonderful and socializes with them. Socialization is so important for THEIR mental health. It’s so beyond sad what these dogs have to live through before someone buys them.

I got my lab from Dans 13 years ago. He was the best dog. Happy and healthy. Just got my new puppy a month ago. He is a great puppy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

I see all these bad reviews and cant help but wonder if they are all trolls. I got my dog here and she is awesome. I have had dogs my whole life and shes the best one I ever had. Shes healthy and happy. When I bought her I looked at a bunch of puppies there and I didnt see a single one that looked scared or shaken. I have rescued puppy mill dogs before, my puppy from Dans did not fit that description. Im writing thurs because I am considering a second dog from Dans and saw all the bad reviews. Guys, puppies need to be bread somehow and the shelters have only pitbulls these days. I was happy with Dans!

DO NOT buy from this puppy mill. Purchased a puppy who we brought home with kennel cough and giardia, and who has since been diagnosed with epilepsy and spent multiple days in the ICU. We have spent thousands on diagnoses and treatment for the seizures. My dog will be on medication for his entire life, costing hundreds monthly. Epilepsy is inherited. This is from poor breeding. Contacted Dan to let him know and he said it is outside of his 18 month health guarantee so there is nothing he can do. Most epileptic dogs (per our canine neurologist with 30+ years in the field) dont have their first seizures until 2-3 years old. Dans health guarantee is not much of a guarantee when he cannot guarantee against epilepsy. I requested a refund for the cost of the dog, considering we are thousands in the hole, and Dan said he wishes our dog good luck but there is nothing further he can do for us. Heartless man.

Bought a Boxer puppy back in August.The place was clean and staff was friendly.They gave me all the paperwork and told me that the pup was up to date with all shots and that she was dewormed three times.A couple weeks after, we brought the pup and all the paperwork to our Vet for a checkup. We then found out that the puppy had worms! The vet proceeded to tell us that he didnt feel that she was up to date with all her vaccinations and whoever docked her tail did a very unprofessional job.Other than the not so good report form our Vet, the dog is healthy and happy .I probably wouldnt recommend this place to anyone only for the plane fact that I feel like they lied to me and of the suspicion of the kennel being a puppy mill.

Dans Kennels is a wonderful place. We bought a goldendoodle puppy and Dan and his staff were so helpful. The place is clean, the puppies are well taken care of. You couldnt ask for a better experience. I highly recommend anyone looking for a dog to start here . You wont be disappointed.

We got our dog from here. He brought us much joy. From day one that he was home with us, he had awful anxiety and was scared of EVERYTHING, every noise he heard, for his entire life. Something I think was from the way he was treated at this kennel. He developed two types of aggressive cancer and also tore 2 ACLs in his 6 years of life. He is not a very active dog, so to have all this happen to him, he didnt deserve this. I am a very logical person, and know this can happen to any dog, but the reason why I am writing this review, is because another family member of ours got a dog from this place also, and it has serious health issues as well. Not sure what is going on there but just thought Id share my story to help others make their choices with some more knowledge.

A little pricey. We found our little fur baby here. We were made aware that he was born with a hernia.. which they took him for surgery before we took him home. They also neutered him at the same time (at our expense). He does have a severe under bite so we had to remove a few teeth so he could chew with less problem. He is really just the cutest, so sweet & gentle💕

Dans Kennel is liscenced therefore not a puppy mill. That means the state checks his kennel yearly if you dont like it take it up with the state of New York. That being said over the years I have gotten no less than 5 retired breeders from Dan they have all been wonderfull addition to my family. While a few have been more shy than others they all house broke within a week and were very loving and devoted. Please keep in mind whether buying a puppy or getting an older dog if it is purebred allergies to either food or environment are likely. My last purchase from Dan was a 3 yrs old English bulldog named Priscilla she is amazing loving, smart , also has environmental allergies I have spent alot of money at the vet. It not a defect in her breeding its a defect in the breed. I would highly recommend Dans Kennel for either puppy or retired breeder. I am always looking at his sight for a new addition to my family.

My daughter bought me a beautiful Maltese shitzu from Dans Kennels in North Collins I am so impressed by how incredibly Immaculate the facility is how wonderful Dan is and how beautiful my new puppy is! Way back when I was a kid I remember my family got a dog from here. I was very young and don’t remember much. I’m so glad I KNOW now how god awful of a place this is. It is a puppy mill, there are hundreds of dogs in the back in gross filthy conditions that you don’t see. The front is clean and nice looking because that’s where they rope you in a buy an overpriced puppy who is a result from bad breeding. Please I beg of you do not buy a dog from here. Adopt don’t shop and absolutely don’t shop at DANS kennels! Can’t believe this place exists still

Before you read the below, i wanted to point out that we did take our test results to Dan directly. He acted like hes never heard of any issues with his puppies, but did give us our money back for the dog (which helps slightly, but she is like my child.) He was still breeding the mother, almost 9 months later, which the vet advised was likely where her kidney issue came from.WARNING- I wish you could give a place zero stars. As I write this, Im in tears. We purchased our golden retriever puppy there in January of 2017. We learned that she had ecoli in her urine at her first visit to the vet. Needless to say, she went through about 5 rounds of different medicine (and expensive tests) which all didnt work, even took her to a different vet, which found the same issue. She had a sonogram done and come to find out she has a kidney disorder where her kidneys never fully developed and are unrecognizable. Well we just got another blood test done as we were trying again to get her spayed with an anesthesia that would be easier on her kidneys. The vet put her kidneys at a stage 3 kidney failure. We are going to have to administer dialysis on our 1 and a half year old puppy everyday.This puppy mill needs to be shut down. Anyone want to start a petition?

Since I was born we have purchased a total of 9 dogs from Dan. I think many people are so critical because they dont know the facts! People shout puppy mill back and forth. I dont think they realize all of the puppies there werent personally bred by Dan. I currently have 2 dogs from Dan and one of them was bred by him, the other wasnt. On the papers you are given if he bred them, then the parents name will say Barkers ___ . The facility is kept clean and the dogs are treated well. Everyone is butt hurt because they want puppies bred and raised in someones home and treated like their own dog. What you will get if that was the case for all puppies, is puppies starting at 5k. Nobody will be able to afford dogs anymore. Of all 9 dogs we have purchased we only had 1 die early (6 years old). They believe it may have been a brain tumor but we wouldnt pay for the mri to get it officially diagnosed, everything else was ruled out though. Dan is a state registered breeder, if the state had a problem with his care of dogs then they would step in. People are also saying it is sketchy that you have to call ahead to go. They say it seems they are preparing the area and dogs to look better. This is a new thing since covid though. Before covid you could just come in whenever during their business hours, because of covid it is now appointment only.

I purchased my dog at Dans Kennel. The place was spotless & the staff was cordial & knowledgeable.. Our dog has brought much joy to our household.Our dog had his 6th birthday on March 20th!! He is as healthy as the time we brought him home!!!Many of our friends & relatives have purchased their dogs from Dans Kennel and are very pleased as well!!

I got my Yorkie-Poo from Dans- Let’s say he is the love of my life! What a great breed- Dans was exceptionally clean and all the pups were very happy and taken care of. Any questions they were there to help us! We love our little Henry so much - We are coming back soon to get another Yorkie- Poo 🐶

I purchased my american farm dog from Dans kennel a little under a year ago. Ive recommended this place to many friends. My dog has become my best friend and a great emotional support dog. Not only has been a great support for me but he has become the best companion for my son. Hes difficult at times but he is highly intelligent and just so very loving to everyone. Ive been unable to afford to have him fixed as I wanted for fear of having issues with other dogs but his temporment towards other dogs including other males is just astonding thank you Dan for such an amazing dog.

Tried some rescues and was put off by there attitudes. Dans was clean friendly and no judgement was given. Our family over the last 20 years have gotten 3 dogs from here. They have all been healthy well behaved and have enriched our lives.

We got a Cotonese from Dan’s two years ago. He is a TERRIFIC HEALTHY boy. If he had had any issues we would have taken him back. The place is clean and neat.The majority of people putting Dans down have never been there. They are, in typical fashion, just repeating what they’ve heard others say. Guarantee if they actually went there their own thinking would prove that Dans is a good place to get a pup/dog. If they are so negative about the place then get a dog and give it a good home. That’s a win win.

You people are delirious and dont realize a puppy mill when you see it because its clean and ooh look at all the puppies. Yea look at all the puppies that will have all type of issues when theyre older. I guess spend less now or even spend more now and hope to God you get a good one from his place. I wish there was a way to really let people know this is not a good place. You should really do extensive research before buying a dog not just have a surprise visit and decide you want a dog. Thats how many dogs end up in pounds or even dead. A great place to find all kinds of puppies. Very clean and Dogs are very well kept. Would highly recommend it.

Do not buy puppies there! They sell sick puppies! They think puppies are disposable. They told me come back to replace my sick puppy to another one. What!? They do not take good care of their puppies!! Look carefully at puppies paws, you will see raw marks from metal mesh. The puppies are suffering! Ask them to meet their mothers before buying. The mother will make you run away from this place. Some puppies aren’t sick, if you are lucky. But it doesn’t ignore the fact they would not ensure all puppies being sold are healthy and ready to be home. All puppies will have difficulties with home breaking because this kennel does not give puppies head start on home breaking. They do not know what type of dog food they are feeding their puppies. They said just get regular dog food. Umm. I have to give my puppy bland diet before transitioning to dog food. My puppy has serious upper respiratory infection which could have died. My puppy also has heart murmur. Terrible business!!

Over many years I have purchased 3 dogs from Dan himself every time he has helped me and my family pick the exact one. Everyone of them being healthy as heck and very loving animals for many years. Our most recent dog is an American Eskimo that is definitely the best yet but also included a shitzu poodle and a soft coated wheaten terrier. Coming from alot of pet knowledge. Wheaten Terriers are hard to breed a healthy bunch and ours was perfect. There is so many bad reviews saying puppy mills but that simply is not true. Dog I was able to see their mother before purchase to see if she was healthy and not over bred. He does a wonderful job with his dogs. And all of them are played with alot with so many customers. My only trouble iv had there was a dog pooped on me but thats fine lol

0 stars, awful conditions. Our puppy was about 5 months old (at least they claimed bc they “lost” his birth certificate) he was underweight, has permanent growth damage, and extremely traumatized. He had never stood on grass before and was afraid of it. Dan is a sick man who profits off the abuse of these poor dogs. Do not support his business. Dan lies and mistreats those dogs. A golden retriever that is the size of our beagle because he was underfed

We bought a MINIATURE AMERICAN SHEPHERD from Dans and cannot believe how SMART ,HEALTHY, AND LOVING this dog is really!!!!!! The place was very clean and nice friendly people.We would definitely go back. Im not the type to send reviews but our Rosie is exceptional. Thank you Dan.🐕🐶👍

I purchased a male Cairn Terrier 11 years ago from Dans Kennels. My dog was healthy and a great addition to our family however I was still having difficulty potty training him as he was approaching his first birthday. I called the kennel for advice and was about ready to give him up. The person I spoke with was kind and concerned. He told me that if I could just give it a little while longer, he was confident that my dog would get it. I was so glad I waited. I have the best dog ever and cant believe that was 11 years ago. I hope he lives forever but will definitely look to Dans for another companion when the time comes. Thank you for your wise advice.

I went to Dans Kennel around thanksgiving in 2015 with my daughter and met my Cavachon Sadie. I was impressed at how clean the kennel was and how the dogs appeared to be well cared for. It is a professional organization that had provided all the required vaccinations and paperwork for my dog. I am very happy with my little girl and my daughter is very happy with her boxer. There are kennels that are inhuman and substandard, but this isnt one of those kennels. My husband is looking to get a boxer puppy and we will be going to Dans.

This place is a puppy mill! He gets puppies from Amish puppy mills and resells them. Most with health conditions! My dog came from him and went blind at 9 months old due to bad and over breeding. She has a ton of health problems and I have spent so much trying to keep her comfortable. Please do not buy from him!!

Im not one to review things but as a past akc lab breeder I was very impressed on how Dan runs his kennel very clean and as far as a puppy mill if you consider a man making his living breeding dogs a bad thing. Your wrong cause you can go there and truly see that Dan loves what he does and cares about the dogs. And thanks Dan for a great boston terrier pup hes awesome!

Poor puppies. This place is terrible. I was looking for a small breed designer dog and saw a newspaper ad for Dans. Having few options (and after reading mixed reviews) I decided to give them a try. The front room looked respectable, puppies in enclosures playing, bigger puppies running around the room having fun. Then the horror show. They told me to check out the puppies in the back room... cages with mesh floors with no less than 3-4 same breed (litter mates?) Of every dog imaginable. The puppy they got out for me was filthy and smelled horrible. When I asked to see the paperwork they told me the breeder was just a guy that breeds dogs I googled his name and this guy was cited multiple times as an amish puppy mill. Needless to say I did not purchase. Stay away from this place. I know the lure is strong for a cute puppy but this is NOT the place to get one.

We had a great experience on the 4 trips there. We spent several hours on those trips all together. We were very impressed at how organized, knowledgeable& clean it was there. The puppies are always, all so happy & clean every time we showed up unanounced. I have referred & will continue to refer people to Dans Kennals & the 3 people who I sent all say the same & are very happy with their new member of their family. Thanks Dan& staff. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR FURRY FRIEND HERE!!!When my family was in search of a new pup after our first dog had passed we ended up here. I wish we knew what we were about to walk into.I would say this place is a puppy mill on steroids. So many different breeds of dogs, CLEALY, not enough space for them. Resulting in over crowed puppy pens with so many trying to escape. (I feel for you pups). We picked out our little guy and we’re on our way out of that bad place. Though we realized later as to why it was such a bad place.Within the first couple days of having our newly bonded with puppy, we started to notice some things -bad things. We started to realize he was becoming malaise. He started loosing interest in everything and mainly his food which was scary. Puppies normally would kill over their breakfast and dinner. We got him on a Sunday and by Friday we had taken him into our local vet because we were so worried.When we brought him in, the vet said and I quote, “good thing you brought him when you did because he was going to die today”. Which that is something you should never hear. Our dog got immediate treatment respirator and all. The local vet did the best they could to keep him alive for another 2 hours. Within that time we had to take him to the orchard park medical animal hospital so he could receive the right treatment. They so kindly worked their magic there. my family and I, to this day, are still thankful for them. While the vets and nurses were saving our little guy, we were having frequent talks with “Dan”.When we informed “dan” on what was happening to our puppy he told us this: “feel free to bring the dog BACK TO US and get another” ... SIR. IM SORRY? after a week of having a dog, strongly bonding our family you want us to bring it back? The dog is on it’s death bed and you want us to bring it back? What are you going to do with a sick and dying puppy? Throw it away in a dumpster behind the place? No. That is not what you say to a customer with a another potential loss on their hands. The conversation ended with him saying “let us know if he’s alive and we will see what we can do for you” (they have a 7 day return policy)...yikesThat had been the worst experience ever no dog, no animal should ever have to undergo so much mistreatment at a “breeder”. Maybe If they didn’t have 100s Of puppies they could notice the signs of a dying dog. Or maybe they should just not be in operation if you’re going to let animals suffer?In the end “Dan” only refunded us with the price of the puppy and not even the medical bills that we received. Our little pup is alive and okay to this day. But if this is just one of the pups from here I can’t imagine the rest of the lil doggies left there. Makes my heart hurt.

Bought a puggle from him 6 years ago. He was born with a back defect that caused him to go paralized in his back legs. And after 8000$ in M.R.I bills rehab etc. He went in a wheelchair and did gery well then came down with lymphoma 2 years later. Ive herd other bad things from people who have bought dogs from him. I wish he could be shut down. My vet says to not buy digs from him. Shame he gets away with this. This is 1000% a puppy mill. Just look at all the 1 stars are you willing to chance bringing a family member into your home Your Puppy that has that great of a chance to have issues. 😢😢😢

Dans Kennels doesnt care about the well being of the puppies or older dogs..they only want the MONEY. There are many reputable breeders who have their morals straight where you can buy puppies if you arent willing to adopt. When you buy a puppy from this company you are supporting a monster. I have always wanted a Yorkie and after visiting a few places we decided to drive out to Dans Kennels and I am so glad we did!!! Carter will be turning 1 on Dec 21st. I cant tell u enough how lucky we are to have him and how much we love him. Carter is healthy, happy and full of energy!! We have a large back yard for him to run around and go for walks almost every day. I just want to thank Dan and his staff for our sweet precious lovable Carter.

We now have purchased three dogs over the last 20 years from Dans kennels. Animals are always healthy and well taken care of.The only reason I didnt give him five stars, is he can be a little pricey but will negotiate under certain circumstances.

My husband and I purchased 2 dogs from Dans kennel. My 1st dog that I purchased was a female broader collie /healer about 2 and 1/2 years ago . My husband and I bought her as a puppy. The 2nd dog we purchased was 1year ago 3 months , a male pure breed siberian huskey puppy. We love both of our dogs and when we brought home our siberian huskey our broader collie / healer acted as if she gave birth to him and interacted very well and still does. However the last year has consisted of re training the broader collie /healer twice and 1 of those times was back a little bit before Thanksgiving when the collie nipped my 5 year old son on the wrist (he was closing her crate door) (he was 4 at the time) it was very strange and still is because the collie and my son was the best of buds and he actually prefers her over our other dog (and still does). As of lately our broader collie /healer is showing signs of aggression and its only getting worse i.e. (refusing to poop outside , she will pee outside but takes her 30mins to do so (alone), she is also refusing to obey even the simplest of commands , she barks very excessively and is now growling at us ).We are seeking the help of the ASPCA at this time. I have also consulted with a breeder. We love both of our dogs and they are both treated the same and were trained the same, but our huskey has shown that he wants to please us and our collie is the complete oppsite. We hate to give up on her but at this time because of the signs of the aggression something has to be done as neither my husband or myself can risk her biting one of our children again or someone elses child and im afriad the next bite will be worse.As for our huskey, we bought him as a puppy, he came with 1st and 2nd set of vaccines and was dewormed as all pups are at any kennels. He was also microchipped and AKC, It came down to him or his brother (that my close friend bought later that day) and we couldnt be any happier with our choices.The 1st time going to Dans kennel my family of 4 was able to walk through the entire place and see all the pups but the 2nd time a young lady kept us near the front and we couldnt go back , we thought that was strange. The young lady was on her phone but when she was asked questions she was very imformative and polite and when it came to the paperwork we had 100% of her attention, everything went well and neither of the dogs had no apparent health issues and both of our dogs are healthy to this day.I rated 4 out 5 because of the current issues we are having with the broader collie /healer. I will recommend and speak only on experience.

They tell you that a prior appointment is necessary....wonder why? I showed up and walked around a bit before being approached by a staff member. (only saw one!). The multitude of cages are unclean and these breeder dogs appear severely neglected (matted fur, nails so long theyre curled)! Yes, the puppies were cute but I have serious concerns regarding their health as they mature. Buying a puppy from here is a heart-break waiting to happen.

Very clean place. We love our dog. We adopted him around 4-5 weeks old. He is the high light of our family (sheltie). They were quick and very pleasant to deal with. The one thing we didnt like was the price. This place is extremely expensive but worth it.

You dont deserve to keep the business I bought a 6 year old dog husky she is uncontrollable set in her way there is now way to train a old dog all because you want to keep her in a kennel and just use her to make puppies she is very jumpy I will never send anybody there I will be reporting you for abuse on the older dogs so be ready to lose your license. When the gentleman help me put the dog in the truck he practically threw the dog in the back seat cause he couldnt wait to get rid of her.

This place is a puppy mill my in laws got a puppy here and he had a lot of problems when they first got him. He had kennel cough and GI issues ! Hes now 1 year and a half and he has juvenile cataracts and he is completely blind. Surgery is 3500-6000 dollars ! Dont buy a dog from this glorified puppy mill. Go to a reputable breeder

I was very happy with the overall clean condition of the kennel, but was a little concerned at the fact very few of the animals ever got to touch the grass. But my new puppy is healthy and well so I cant complain to much.

Never been there and dont need too. Its a puppy mill, stop buying puppies that are sick or parents arent available as they are hidden and sick. Please adopt dont shop... Its sad how people dont educate themselves on this. If you want purebred dog? Ok fine, but ask a lot of questions before you buy fidoAnd seeing the parents at the owner house is a must have. Having real records of blood line and veterinarian is important, phone numbers and last date of shots ect... Also a license is required of the state and county. But there are many recuses and organizations that help dogs that are in bad condition and need new homes and at least 75% are purebred dogs. Many puppy mill puppies will have worms or parvo virus and its deadly. Most or none will be checked out by a veterinarian at these places and after a few days or weeks your puppy mill puppies will die. Again please adopt dont shop......

We bought a shiba inu puppy here about a week ago and she is fantastic! The facility was very clean and the staff was helpful, they made sure we had everything we needed for her before she came home with us and took the time to clean her ears, trim her nails, and give her a bath.

Deplorable condition of the adult dog I purchased.. 6 years old rotten teeth skin infection no socialization what so ever. 6 months later with love and care she is wonderful. So glad I took her home that day.

I’m not a breeder nor a vet so excuse me... then not only that my dog is a big time shedder!! Regardless I love my little fur ball but think they can handle things more professionally and educated themselves! Since then I do all of my research before purchasing another dog

Adopt dont shop. All these places are puppy mills!!! I walked in dan kennels and i walked right out. Those poor dogs were coward in the corner and not socialized! I cried and wanted the save them all!! The SPCA have the most loving animals that I have adopted in the past!!! I will continue to save two animals, one that I adopted and space for another animal!!!

I got an Adult dog named Commet from them. He is a sweetie. He didnt know how to dog really but he has learned so much it 2 months since we had him. He almost fully potty trained ( few accidents here and there) he is mostly crate trained. And knows his sit command. He didnt know how to walk on a leash but now he can walk around the block!

Clean facilities as far as I could tell, BUT selling mixed breeds for up to and over $1000 is totally unacceptable. I have visited here a few times and you are not able to touch the puppies. Did not like the set up of small cages at all. Seemed very impersonal. Would not purchase a puppy or recommend.

Dont believe any of the **** people are saying online.... the place is extremely clean with water at every puppies disposal. The Bichon Frise mix we purchased has had zero health issues and is the joy of our life . We plan on returning for another dog.

Over a year ago I got my American Farm Dog from Dan’s. She is the best dog i could ask for! Friendly staff, rapid replies to text messages, spotless facility. Will definitely be back for another dog.

We purchased a shiba inu puppy from here and the whole experience was amazing! He let us take the puppies outside to play with and was honest with all the questions we asked. We love the puppy we bought. She came home and acted like shes always lived there. Definitely a great addition to our family! Thank you again!!!

I have no complaints, My puppy Shephrador is amazing and so smart, Dan even worked with me on the price, he’s microchipped and he even scanned our puppy right in front of us and was Very informative, I was very pleased especially after reading the negative reviews I would go there for a future puppy!!

I went here with my boyfriend who is black, they ignored us when we asked about a puppy, the lady was very rude. I asked can we pet the one puppy I was thinking about buying the puppy, she ignored me the 5 times that I asked, then said rudely theres no petting the dogs, you cant afford it any way I immediately fealt disrespected, very rude racist people.

People have been trying to get him shut down for years, he is a puppy mill, large buildings closed to the public filled to the brim with dogs, never loved, in wire cages, Im a dog groomer and I see many dogs come in my shop in horrible shape that was just purchased from this evil man. Scared, ill and never knew love.

I dont think you are a reputable breeder when you sell a puppy to a 16 year and dont ask for ID and how the puppy will be taken care. After notified by the parent you will not give a full refund within a couple days! Very sad and you should not be able to breed puppies!

Horrid. Crates suspended on walls so pups relieve themselves where they live. No bedding. Feces hanging from their bottoms. I can’t stop thinking about these poor pups.

We booked an appointment to see a puppy this weekend and not even a day later they sold him on us. We got one dog there before with no problems but this brought a whole new anger. Dont promise to let us see him then cancel and sell him anyways. Future advice put a deposit down because they will sell no matter what, in it for the money clearly. They dont care about people who travel hours to come see the dogs and plan appointments

I bought 2 cockapoos from Dans kennel. My oldest one lived to 17, I just had to put him down 2 weeks ago, and my girl is almost 14. I also have a 3rd cockapoo that I got from an Amish family who will also be 14. I dont know why this place gets bad reviews cuz both of them were/are in good health. Im very grateful for dans kennel and when Im ready, I will buy from them again

THIS PLACE IS A PUPPY MILL!! Dogs are kept in disgusting conditions!! Ive seen so many sick animals at this place :( makes me so sad. They also charge a lot of money for mutts and accidental mix litters. Do yourself a favor and just go directly to a decent breeder. Prices will be similar or less and youll know if theyre from a puppy mill or from an ethical breeder who actually cares about their dogs

My experience with Dan was never direct. I talked to Dan by phone only.And was told by Dan to call his assistant and set an appointment to come see the Yorkies they had and it was set for the same day before they was to close.so to say the least I got to the back and I see two sets of Yorkies boy and girl paired up so I knew when I saw adorable was I went back upfront wit the dog and brought her and they gave me some parasite medicine and said it should stop parasite and the blood in her stool then they by her being young her stomach lining is still forming so u might get a lil blood in stool so I gave her all the medicine and she lil say shes still bleeding out her rectum I have done spent xamount of dollars trying to this figured out

All I can say is it was very clean, smelled clean, plenty of staff on hand, staff was super responsive, very helpful, pleasant and nice. The puppy we purchased was priced reasonable. The dog came with all the paperwork, shots and a microchip. Took the puppy to the vet and was given a clean bill of health and was parasite free. We have a happy and heathy puppy, only problem I found with this place is it was hard to walk out with just one.

Please do NOT give this man your money. He does not properly care for his dogs and is only in the business for money.

My family and I went to Dan’s Kennels with an open mind after reading mixed reviews. We were blown away by the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the grounds and most of all the happiness and health of the puppies. We would recommend this business to anyone. Thanks again Dan.

I have adopted 2 puppies no issues or concerns

I Purchased Fred, in February 2019,÷ he is a morkie, he was 9mos when I got him, I initially did not want a male because I did not want to deal with him Lifting his leg, Dan told me that since he wasnt doing that he probably would not in future, He still squats!! He temperament is great hes a sweet gentle funny little friend and we are so happy to have him. The vet found him to be very healthy. We are well pleased and have told others about the kennel. We found it clean and the animals well maintained.
