Ketsies Dog Grooming

I was really hesitant about posting my experience because I like supporting local businesses. However, it’s been a week since I brought my dog to Ketsie’s dog grooming, and my golden doodle’s fur is growing in uneven. I gave this business a try after the owner explained that she doesn’t like to crate dogs, and that she likes to care for one dog at a time. She sounded very personable over the phone, I figured she is available on a weekend, why not try a home environment? Upon drop off my puppy seemed very skeptical, and didn’t want to leave my side. I completed a sheet of paper and explained that I wanted a bath, a full cut and trimmed & filed nails. Also, I explained that he was matted but only under his chin/mouth area. I even ran my fingers through his coat to show her he was pretty smooth because I brush and comb him often. The owner (Colette?) noticed that my dog was uneasy and asked us to leave so that she could handle him. I stayed local to be quickly available for pick up. 10 minutes later I received a text saying she needed to shave him down because he was matted. I responded “just trim his face, privates and his nails” She replied back “I have started.” I asked myself, why text me then?? He was there for 1.5 hrs and she sent me another text “you can come and get him, he refuses to let me dry his face.” I have never picked him up undone from any other groomer. I walked in to find a different looking dog, wet face and ears, and an ungroomed tail. I was very disappointed! Colette handed us a toothbrush, a used fur brush and showed us a handful of matted hair that could have been from his chin area. I went home to dry and trim his face myself and noticed that the nails were never trimmed. My puppy is clearly cold, and now my Christmas pictures are ruined. Over $130 flushed down the drain. If you have a long haired dog or a doddle of any type, run and consider another location. My review could have been different had the owner shared her recommendations at drop off or called me before shaving him completely down. See before and after pictures.

Ive been bringing my dog to Ketsies Dog Grooming for a couple of years now, and Collette is truly amazing. Shes not only a fantastic groomer but also makes it a priority to build a relationship with the dogs so they feel completely at ease. My dog, who is usually anxious around new people, is always calm and comfortable with her, which speaks volumes about her patience and care. The grooming space is always clean and organized, and Collette works efficiently without ever compromising the quality of her work. My dog always looks and feels great after each session. I can’t imagine going anywhere else—Ketsie’s is simply the best!

I highly recommend Ketsie’s Grooming! I have a Golden/Labradoodle and I have been very satisfied with her grooming. Colette is very warm and welcoming and has a clean and spacious area where she works on one dog at a time. When we arrive at the house, Whiskey gets so excited! She pulls me to the door. This is very comforting because I know she is happy to be there. Colette always listens to concerns and also has great advice. She encourages you to stop in between grooming for trimming around the eyes which is very generous and shows that she truly cares. I can’t say enough about Ketsie’s Grooming! I’ve been bringing my dog to Ketsie’s Dog Grooming for the past few months, and every experience has been exceptional! Colette is a true professional who clearly loves what she does. My dog always feels so comfortable and cared for, which is a huge relief for me. The personalized attention she gives is unmatched, and I love that only one dog is groomed at a time. The whole experience, from the cozy salon to the relaxed backyard, is just top-notch. I’ve never seen my dog look so happy and pampered after grooming. In fact, after Colette’s amazing grooming skills, my puppy even won Mr. September in a dog calendar competition! I can’t say enough good things about Ketsie’s Dog Grooming! After two awful experiences with local groomers who shaved my dog down without my permission, I was nervous to try someone new. But Colette made me feel comfortable from the moment I met her. She invited me to check out her grooming space, and I was blown away by how beautiful and spacious her home is, and her grooming studio is just as impressive – large, super clean, and really well put together.What I love most about Colette is how kind and understanding she is with the dogs. She only works with one dog at a time, and I can personally vouch for that because I sat outside for the entire hour! The attention she gives is truly one of a kind. Colette, thank you for being so caring, and I’ll definitely be seeing you again soon!

We take our XL labradoodle Ziggy here for grooming and bathing and we couldnt be happier with the results! Collette is an expert groomer and has a natural gift not only in grooming but with caring for our Ziggy, so attentive and professional and goes the extra mile, specifically when she noticed something out of the ordinary she not only gave us feedback but a solution! I have a really nervous dog and have been turned away by other groomers, but Colette at Ketsies Grooming welcomed me with open arms. She was so kind and understanding of my dog’s temperament and worked with her so well. I couldn’t recommend her more, she is an absolute saint! Colette only works one-on-one with dogs, so unlike previous groomers I’d taken my dog, she wasn’t kept in a cage for hours where she would get anxious. She really treated my dog like her own and I will be recommending Ketsie’s to everyone I know with dogs. I travelled from The Bronx up to her but it couldn’t have been more worth it. Amazing service combined with a friendly, human approach.

I took my husky mix for a de-shedding at the weekend and am so happy with how he turned out, shiny and hardly any fur to deal with. Hes a very nervous dog and this was his second trip to Ketsies place and I cant recommend Colette and this business highly enough, she is so very kind. I had my 12+ year old Jack Russell with me also for a nail trim and she ended up having a bath and coming out all happy with herself. Shes a 3 legged rescue and had never been to a groomer before so this place is just the best. Keep up the good work Colette, we will be back.

I recently took my black lab, Max, to Ketsies Dog Grooming, and I cant say enough good things about the experience! Max is 13 years old and has some mobility issues, so I was quite nervous about how he would handle the grooming process. However, Colette was exceptionally gentle and patient with him. She took the time to get to know Max, asking about his grooming history and any specific needs he might have. The grooming area was spotless and thoughtfully designed, which instantly put me at ease. Colette clearly has a passion for what she does. After the grooming session, I was blown away by how fantastic Max looked! His coat was so shiny and soft, and he smelled absolutely divine. Colette had even taken the time to give him a cute little bandana that matched his personality perfectly. To top it off, she provided me with tips for maintaining his coat between visits, which I really appreciated. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs and their owners. I can’t recommend Ketsies Dog Grooming enough. We’ll definitely be returning for regular grooming sessions. Thank you for making Max look and feel like a superstar!

We have been happily bringing our Cooper to Colette for over a year now. He loves her and she is the kindest and gentlest with him. He is a furry wee pup and he sheds like a beast yet she always takes such great care of him. Her work is outstanding. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Love Her!!!!

Colette works magic. She groomed our Irish Setter who was not in favor of grooming. Colette was able to convince him that grooming was good for him. He is now looking great. She is very talented and we will be back soon. ♥️

I just wanted to say that Ketsies Dog Grooming did an outstanding de-shedding and wash and hair cut on my Long Haired shepherd.
