Very nice people. All the cats were so lovable it was so hard to choose a new family member. The cat room was clean and spacious. All the kitties just wanted to come home! My fiancé & I adopted our newest family member from here today. Oreo Milkshake she’s the sweetest Kitty ever! She’s been purring nonstop since we got her. She’s already spoiled! Would definitely recommend going here!

I found a stray pit who was injured and malnourished, literally no other shelter or even dog control would take her or help me. She was the sweetest dog I felt so bad but I’m not allowed to have dogs at my apartment but the lovely ladies here were able to take her in within a weeks time and had a foster for her 🥹 I truly hope she’s taken care of and couldn’t be more grateful!

We adopted our pets from Friends Forever and they are amazing. We did have to hire a trainer for our puppy (because he was a puppy). Our pets are special gifts to us and our family members. The rescue did everything they could to be there for us during the adoption process. They answered all of our questions and promised to help in any way.

Such an amazing place! Every volunteer was so welcoming and informational. We adopted our Tiny girl from here. She was rescued from a puppy mill and they made sure she was spayed before adoption. Her baby making days are OVER and she has grown to be such a confident playful little one. Every one of their dogs are fostered and get to experience what it’s like to be in a home with lots of love as they wait for their forever family to come along ❤️

I had a great experience adopting a cat from Friends Forever Animal Rescue! After we were approved to adopt, we made an appointment and visited. Its clear that the staff and adoption folks really care for these animals. We were able to take our time meeting the cats and the staff were very supportive without making us feel pressured. It is same day adoption and we went home with a cat, but we didnt feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. Our cat is absolutely awesome -- hes a great fit. Id fully recommend this shelter and if we ever are looking for another cat in the future, this is where wed go, without a doubt.

Im kinda confused about how I feel I feel like they are judging me just assumed I want to surrender dogs because of behavior issues never one time took the time to ask me why . I dont think its fair of them to judge me I thought they were here to help people in the community today I was told they couldnt even post a picture if they were not up to date on rabies vaccine so I went and did that sent a picture to prove it. What is a person suppose to do when they cant get help ? Since I wrote the review I was told I should be ashamed yikes said they bumped me to priority in less than a week after me calling them but I called back in March. I even called and tried to talk but that was not good I recorded the conversation so that knowone can say I lied about apologizing and explain what I was confused about.

This facility is absolutely amazing! 4 years ago I adopted Tula (formerly Sassy). Everyone that volunteers there is very helpful and friendly. They really do care about the animals that come into facility and making sure they have a good home. They allowed me to bring Tula home and make sure she was the purrrfect fit for my family. My mother had the same experience when she adopted a senior cat named Norman a few years ago! I couldn’t recommend them enough.

The staff was friendly and informative. The application process was easy and showed that the shelter cares that their animals go to a good home! The kitten we got there is one of the friendliest and easy going cats we have ever had. Their wonderful foster system gets the animals ready for their forever homes and allows the shelter to help more animals! I would highly recommend getting your next pet from them.

Don’t surrender your animal too then they will be exstremly rude about it. Especially if they are a no kill shelter only no kills will get upset when you ask for proof. The founder of the organization is very rude and needs too take some classes on politeness it’s not easy for people too surrender there love ones when they can’t take care of them no more so yea people are gonna ask for proof and worry. They are no animal lovers if they can’t understand that. Let me add too this they did this all too a special needs person also very disappointed in them

We are a retired couple and applied for a puppy and was approved for everything. Then when it is time to get him we were told by the foster that our split rail fence was unacceptable and couldn’t adopt him. Apparently being in a shelter is a better fit. Don’t really think they are looking out for the pets. God help the pets ❤️

I was so impressed with this facility and staff. They were organized and the animals were obviously well cared for. Our neighbors left their cat and her three 4wo kittens when they moved. We took them in temporarily, but werent able to give them the care they needed. Plus our fur babies werent very impressed with the new additions. I called various shelters but had no luck. FFAR had no problem taking them in asap. Thank you for taking care of all the little fur friends.

This was by far the best adoption experience. We lost our beloved heeler last April and finally felt like we were ready to have another dog. Hands down would adopt from here again!

I wasnt actually planning to add another dog so soon, but while I was trying to help someone else find a dog, I stumbled upon a a Malinois at Forever Friends. Her post didnt give a whole lot of info, but that she needed an experienced home. I figured she wasnt available any more, but as a professional dog trainer involved in dog sports, I am experienced with Malinois, and I couldnt help myself. I reached out, introduced myself, and was put in touch with Pebbles foster, Megan. I kind of expected to be denied on account of having intact dogs, or treated weirdly because my dogs have all come from breeders. I didnt get any sort of poor or unfair treatment, though! Megan was absolutely wonderful to talk to, and I ended up meeting Pebbles and falling in love. Ive had her for about three months now, and have stayed in touch with Megan and the shelter to keep them updated on her progress. Her name is now Bunny, and she is absolutely the most wonderful dog. If she had been in a shelter setting, I think she would have regressed badly, but instead she was placed with a knowledgeable, kind foster who helped her flourish! Absolutely the best experience Ive ever had working with or adopting from a rescue, and Im so, so thankful to have Bunny in my life now. Thank you Megan and everyone at Forever Friends, I cannot express how happy I am 🥰

I applied and was accepted to meet a Blue Heeler named Matty back in 2022. We drove hours there then we got there, werent greeted, stood there awkwardly being ignored until we said we were there for a meet and greet. We met Matty, he was great. Then I was asked if I had stated I had a kid on my application, I said yes. The lady working there essentially said I was a liar because they wouldnt have approved me to meet Matty if I had been honest about having a kid (I was though!). We tried talking to them about our experiences with large breeds, with herding breeds and how we know he will herd and we know he will need training and energy outlet. We were essentially ignored and told we wouldnt be able to handle him. While the issue was never that the dog may not fit in to our family, it was the disrespect we were treated with. Now, a year later, the foster is attacking me on my FB review saying I didnt care about my kid getting bit. Not true at all. I acknowledged the dog was a herding breed, thats not the same as saying I will let my kid, or am ok with my kid, getting bit. Though I do remember a part of the conversation where my partner said he had a herding dog when he was young and he was aware of the nipping habit of herding breeds and we could handle that. We were aware of the training that would be needed. This organization is awful no matter who you encounter apparently. They will judge you and if you dont align with what they believe and you speak out they and their volunteers will harrass you a year later. Its over, I found an amazing pit bull/Brittany/blue heeler mix who does what?! Herds! And we are training him despite what these people thought about us. After being called a liar and a bad mom I can warn you, dont bother with this place if you expect to be treated with any respect.

I have adopted 4 kitty furbabies from FFAR since 2019, and theyre amazing! Casey has the biggest heart and takes in any animal in need, even when space is limited and finances are tight, the animals come first. Our first kitten we adopted there was the healthiest adoptee weve ever had. I left a stellar review on their social media page the next day, its a big deal when you can see just how well the animals are cared for! Weve adopted 3 others from FFAR since we got Bailey. As a side note: Please keep in mind that because spay and neuters were canceled due to the pandemic last year (because they were considered non-essential 😡), all rescues are overwhelmed and inundated with cats and kittens now.Rescues are bursting at the seams, and when the donations are down, adoptions are down, and theres just so many to be adopted...sometimes they just cant take in any new cats that arent emergencies. Ive seen on social media people complaining about all the local rescues being too full to help them, and unfortunately that is true.So I would hope people keep that in mind before leaving negative reviews on rescue pages, here and on social media! Theyre doing everything they can to help the furbabies!

I filled out application to adopt 1-2 kittens. I received email back to call them to follow up with a few more questions they had. They advised me to call around to some vets to see if they were accepting new patients. I did that and call back and a lady answered and said to call back because the person I needed to talk to was busy, I personally would have taken a message with my number and called back when they were done but that’s just me. So I called again and got the machine, but it said for appt to call a love person. I finally just emailed with vet info and to set up an appt for today and they responded to come at noon. I then emailed them back to say that was perfect and asked if I needed to bring anything because I wasn’t sure if I would be leaving with a cat or if it take some time. I got no response. Then I emailed this morning to confirm my appt for noon today and if I would be getting a kitten(s) today as I wanted to make sure I had a pet carrier and everything I needed to bring home a pet today. And the email confirmed that 1 day adoption could happen if approved. I drove 45 minutes to get there and rung the door bell twice and knocked within 15 minutes of waiting. I could hear people inside but nobody would answer the door. Why let me make an appt and confirm it if you won’t answer the door?!?! I finally left l, which is to bad because they have some cute kittens that needed a home. And my sister has been emailing about Zeus the dog and getting frustrated because if her app is denied say it or if he’s taken say something. I don’t know if they are just unorganized or can’t keep up with things but I can’t say if they are good or not because I feel like I didn’t what I was suppose to do and some pet lost out on a good home, and that’s what I don’t get you cry you need homes for them but don’t answered for a schedule appt. If the person wasn’t going to be there they could have called to reschedule or answered the door and told me to reschedule. I just don’t get it.

We adopted a dog from this shelter in hopes we would have a nice addition to our family. Unfortunately this was not the case. After realizing our household was not the right fit for this dog, we did not want to keep him in an uncomfortable situation. After going back and forth with this shelter for months, they told us that this dog was no longer their problem and that if we cant train him then we should euthanize him. This conflicts with theiralways welcome back policy, which is stated in the first line of their adoption contract. I never thought this would be an option for a facility that claims to want nothing more than to find the perfect fit. This shelter has no problem taking on puppies that would sell but claims to have no room for older dogs. If you adopt from this shelter, dont bother signing their contract. They will not hold up their end of the bargain and just play the blame game. We are not the only ones with this problem. After talking to other shelters, in attempts of trying to take care of this ourselves, we found that Friends Forever does not hold up to their promises and highly recommend to stay away from this shelter.

When all hope was lost, Friends Forever Animals took him in, despite having no openings.
