Paws Perrydise

I am a first time dog owner and my whole experience are paws perrydise has made it so much easier. We participated in puppy training classes and regularly attend doggy daycare. I really appreciate the classes, they are based on positive reinforcement and gave me such a good training relationship with my dog. The day care is awesome. My dog is well socialized now and when we pick her up from daycare she is so tired! It really makes my life easier on daycare days. When we walk her to daycare she gets visibly excited when she realizes where we are going. I highly recommend this business.

Melissa is awesome. She left no doubts in my mind when I first signed my two month old Frenchie up for doggy daycare. I didnt have to worry about leaving her at home for 7 hours a day, all alone. I got daily pictures and videos via Snapchat. When I would pick Kira shed fall asleep, exausted from playing so much. We participated in Training classes. THAT was awesome. Kira sat, laid down, touched, went to the couch instead of the door... And its all thanks to Melissas dedication. I wont go anywhere else and I wouldnt refer someone to anyone else. Now a year later I look at my dog and ask if she wants to go to daycare and shes at the door. Thanks Melissa!

Melissa and her staff continually go above and beyond to make sure our pup is well taken care of. Puppy training? Theyve got you covered with expert and frank advice. Daycare? Youre gonna get grade A snapchats throughout the day of your dog having a great time (and returning thoroughly exhausted). Even if we had a hundred choices of where to bring our pup in Perry, wed be back here tomorrow.

Melissa and crew are knowledgeable and professional. Douglas would not be the same dog if it werent for them helping us get him in the right start with training and being a second home for his vacations!

Dogs dont lie! My dog Finn has been going to Paws Perrydise over the past four months. As soon as he realizes where we are headed his excitement is over the moon. Finn runs in and greats Melissa and Emma with love. In fact, I get a little jealous;). Finn and I also use Paws Perrydise for training (great info and clear homework assignments) and boarding. We 100% recommend Paws Perrydise.

I have taken 2 dogs to Melissa so far because she really is like a Dog Whisperer! 1st was private trainings with my Husky who had anxiety. Melissa gave me some amazing strategies to help alleviate his fears. I was so impressed with her philosophies on canine behaviors and positive reinforcement tools, I enrolled our puppy in her class and registered him for her doggy daycare. Pup and I learned so much in the class and I was very impressed with the attention and care he received in daycare. I have yet to meet any other trainer as knowledgeable and caring.

A true gem! I love being able to shop knowing everything is great quality, and the selection is amazing (particularly for fun collars). Training classes are small enough that everyone gets individual attention, and having a science-based trainer is invaluable.

Melissa and co. are great with our puppies. We took them both there for classes and they now go to daycare there semi regularly. Both are much better behaved for the sake of class and we plan to do more training in a few months. The dogs love it and are always excited to go and tired from playing when we get back. We love knowing they are safe, entertained and active when we cant be home for an extended period. We highly recommend!

I have taken my dog Shadow to Paws for both daycare and training. I absolutely love knowing that she is in a safe place where she is being watched all day while in school and work. (Or whenever needed, I know Paws is my first thought for my dog!) We are currently finishing up our first training class with Melissa and I have to say we’ve both learned a lot! It has me eager to continue to work with Shadow and to keep teaching her more and to better what she already knows! I will most definitely continue to utilize Paws to the best of our ability!

Lara stayed for 6 days and had a GREAT experience at Paws Perrydise. She is a dog with special needs because of her large size, and she was treated lovingly and given wonderful care. The setting reminds me of a quaint old fashioned store, with a counter that divides the dog care area from customers coming in the door. Theres a door out the back to a nice play yard and a separate location to accommodate dogs that might need one on one handling, like mine. Lara was wagging and smiling at the other dogs when she left which was such a great experience! Melissa is so committed to pain-free training that she spent a long time helping me understand how to motivate my dog through simple changes in my behavior, including how to reward with treats and stop/go and leash training. We are so glad Melissa offers this service in our area when other alternatives involve boarding in cement kennels.

We love having doggie daycare available to our community. Sophie just hears the word “daycare” or the names of her friends and gets sooo excited. It is a great way for her to get out some energy and have socialization, a couple days a week, while I’m at work. It is affordable, clean, and I know she is being well cared for. Melissa is a great trainer, very knowledgeable, and my go-to if I have questions or need advise. I even get her nails clipped while she is at daycare, so it saves me from making a separate appointment. Definite thumbs up 👍

We took our Sheltie here for training, boarding and doggy daycare. They do positive reinforcement training which was very beneficial and we loved every minute of it. Doggy daycare is the best thing that couldve happened to us- bring our dog there while we are at work he gets a full day of playing, plenty of time outside and love. If we go out of town on vacation Paws Perrydise is the one place we trust to board our dog- he is not kept in a kennel all day and gets to play with other dogs while he is there!!!

Paws perrydise is perfect for your dog!! I have only taken my dog there for a couple weeks but he is a puppy and I can tell he LOVES it there. The socialization they receive there is amazing. Everytime my puppy gets dropped off he is so anxious to go in which makes me feel so great because I know he loves and remembers this place!! It is also great that they have social media accounts so you can see what your dog is up to for the day and see what they actually do!! It is such a great place with a warming atmosphere! Highly recommend!!

Melissa did a home behavior analysis of Scarlet Silverfeet who was quite pleased with the experience. Melissa was friendly, professional, and gave great insight as to why Scarlet was being wishy washy. We love her approach to pet training. She knows her business. We will definitely call on her for all our pet training and boarding needs.

I bring my dog every day and she always leaves tail wagging and excited for the next day! Melissa and her team are amazing and I absolutely love the snap chat updates of the pups being silly.

Paws Perrydise is one of a kind. This is the first doggy daycare Ive seen without cages! An amazing idea and it shows how much the owner Melissa cares for the wellbeing of the dogs.

We had a specific food request that she didnt stock and she found it and now carries it. Very responsive, and very knowledgeable about pet nutrition.

We’ve been boarding with Melissa at Paws Perrydise for years and it has been the absolute BEST place for our two oldest dogs. Melissa knows her stuff, sends pupdates, and works with the dogs to make sure they’re comfortable when away from home. We brought our newest rescue dog to Melissa for training class and currently for daycare and it is the best (and extremely reasonably priced) investment we make for her. She socializes with other dogs, comes home nice and tired, and Melissa and her staff are attentive and keep watch for any issues before they come up. Melissa is an impeccable resource for positive reinforcement training and does her part and then some by continually educating herself on new techniques and studies in the field of dog training. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend for EVERYTHING dog
