We have been bringing our dog since she was a puppy and now our new cat to Dr Rana as well. We originally went to a cat specialist vet for our new pet but didn’t love the experience so decided to bring her to Dr Rana as well! we trust his opinion and his staff is really friendly and responsive when we call with any questions.

Dr. Rana is the best! The staff all care about my dog as if she were their own family. Definitely missing the team here since I moved out of state.

Dr. Rana is very knowledgeable and does not try to overcharge you with unnecessary tests. He doesnt like to over vaccinate either. He gives my dogs just what they need. Hes very honest. Eileen the office manager is a gem! She keeps this busy practice running smoothly. Shes very caring and loves every dog like her own and is always accommodating if you have an emergency. The office is brand new and clean. I highly recommend this caring practice.

Animal Care Center of Plainview is the best place to take your pet! Dr. Rana along with his team provide such excellent, quality care to all their patients. Whenever I need an appointment or have a question, his team quickly assists me and if needed will make the time to see my dog. Every time I bring my French Bulldog to the office, he is treated so well! A lot of other offices that I have been to previously do not compare to this one! Thank you Animal Care Center of Plainview for all you do and for keeping my dog happy & healthy!

I cannot thank them enough for the care the entire team took of my dog. Dr. Rana takes a conservative approach to animal care, always trying the least invasive route first. Eileen at the desk cared for my dog and me like her own family. Sean is a sweetheart. The grooming team always did a great job as well. If I were to get another dog there is no question where I would bring him.

My puppy Oreo has been going here for her shots. We also boarded her here when she was only 3 months old. The staff here are the best, they really love all the pets and treat them so well. Actually so we’ll that my puppy drags us towards the vet on every single walk (we live within walking distance). Dr. Rana is wonderful too. He’s very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer all my questions. I would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend Dr. Rana and staff. Everyone here-including Eileen, are knowledable and compassionate. We drive over an hour to come here -and its worth every mile!!!

My Dog has been going to see Dr Rana for 12 years now. He has been truly an amazing dr throughout the years. I trust him completely and his staff is also beyond wonderful and so compassionate. I truly love them all so much. They are the best.

Ill keep this review short and sweet. Basically, Dr. Rana made my dog visit after a simple oral surgery. My dog isnt eating and his advice was if your dog isnt eating, put your dog down Come here if you want to take a risk on your pets life

I have been bringing my dogs and cats to Dr Rana for a very long time.He recently diagnosed and successfully one of my girls and treated her for an illness that we thought would take her from us.Very compassionate and honest.Doesnt make you do unnecessary testing to spike the bill.Great doctor..

Update: fyi, Eileen has a degree in theater. Don’t let her touch your dog, she will if Dr. Rana is too busy. DR RANA + EILEEN KILLED MY DOG. Also, they always get a fake review posted after they get a bad one. So pathetic. Dr Rana doesnt even have the time to call and give his condolences, probably because he doesn’t need our money anymore. Also is Eileen (incompetent front desk lady) allowed to treat animals. Why was she allowed to inject my dog with anything? She has a degree in theater! their silence on this matter says it all. After their response, note how they didn’t even acknowledge Eileen (again the incompetent lady) giving injections (without our permission, which is illegal). Also you were not there for us day and night , we received a notice that “Dr RANA is out until Monday” when our dog was dying.

UPDATE: This is the only vet that I would trust with my fur kids. Compassionate, knowledgeable, and the rooms are so clean!! The office is large and modern. I give them the highest recommendations!!!!They are compassionate and truly love animals.

I have known Dr Rhana for 30years his offices are Front Street in hempstead, Elmont, Huntington, and plainview He kept our dogs when we vacationed.My cat became very sick and was going down in front of the kids the doctor revived him. He also kept my cat until he crossed over so my kids didn’t experience his decline. The fee charged for the 6 months he kept him was only $250 !Dr Rhana has a great staff that is supportive and love animals.I bring my dogs and rescues to him and he would open up for me.When my huge pit bull Sammy could not see Dr Rhana successfully operated on Him and restored his sight.Today, Dr Rhana prefers to work further east.I have been traveling to his Plainview location which is well worth it. Dr.Rhana is the only vet I trust. He likes his work and likes animals.I used the vet hospital on MerrickRoad in valley stream, my Sammy wasMisdiagnosed a died.Go to a Pro.Dr Rhana. He is affordable caring, an excellent doctor and an honest man.

I have been taking my dog to different vets in NY. This time I took her to Dr Rana in Plainview my dog was diagnosed and observed very carefully, she was provided with such an efficient and accurate dose of medication that my got a new life, I strongly recommend all to go Dr Rana with their loving pet this is my unbiased personal experience.

I don’t even know where to begin… I brought my friends dog to the vet to get an observatory procedure to be done. The doctor specifically told me he would reach out to me or my friend at 4-4:30pm while the procedure is going on. I call at 5:01pm wondering why none of us got a call yet…. and the call goes to voicemail. My friend calls at 5:30, receptionist picks up and places my friend on hold. The doctor picks up and said the dog is dead….. WHAT TYPE OF UNPROFESSIONALISM IS THAT????Then I call back at 5:45 to find out what is going on. NOW they decide to pick up the call, place me on hold, and the doctor picks up the call. Tell me that the dog is dead and had to be put down… BUT DOCTOR YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE GOING TO CALL US SPECIFICALLY AT 4-4:30 WHILE THE PROCEDURE IS GOING ON. The doctor even mentions that he noticed I was calling at 5pm because his attendant mentioned that the dog owners friend was calling…. And they decide not to pick up my call!!!UNBELIEVABLE…… HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND NOBODY TAKES THEIR LOVING DOGS HERE!!!!

Everyone there absolutely cares about your animal which is amazing plus they do great work and there is never any waiting to be seen they are quick to get you in to your appointment while still giving your animal the best care.

Made a boarding reservation for my dog and cat for 7/4-7/8 over the phone. Showed up 7/4 to be told not taking any pets. Asked to speak to boss who never got back to me. Way to leave vacationers high and dry— it’s fortunate we did not have plane tickets.

LOVE this place. Eileen & Beth take care of my 2 babies as if they were their own. I trust Dr. Rana 100% with my dogs. I trust no one else or would i go anywhere else. LUv the staff & doctors!!!!!

Weve been coming coming to this vet for the past 3 years and have really grown fond of them. The staff has been very helpful and have gone above and beyond their scope of practice to accommodate our needs.

I had a terrible experience with this incompetent veterinarian Dr. Jaipal Rana. He did a procedure on my dog and ended up cutting his rectum, which he noted in his records. Even worse they allowed his condition to deteriorate for a week under their supervision. My poor dog was alone in a cage suffering while his body was being poisoned by the feces that was entering his body through Dr. Ranas cut. When he was near death, Dr. Rana dropped him off at another hospital nearby. All this was going on while my family was on vacation and we knew nothing. They never even called to tell us what was going on. Please be wary of this Dr. Jaipal Rana of Woodbury Road Veterinary Hospital located in Plainview NY. Dr Jaipal Rana DVM also owns Animal Hospital of Long Island in Hempstead NY. I would strongly caution all pet owners to avoid both of these places. To those that are already a client, if he recommends a major or expensive procedure, make sure you get a second opinion. If your pet needs it, choose a more qualified veterinarian.

Great place to take your family member. (My pitbull) when there is a problem. Not a fan about giving the dog a med to make them relax for a bath?

Its amazing how they constantly “lose” their papers, trying to get you to pay twice, do things that you specifically tell them you dont want them to do, and then they expect you to still pay...... disappointing theyre in it for the money only.

I am not sure where to start with my frustration, disappointment and anger with this practice and Rana, I have already posted my disappointment on Yelp when Remy was literally killed by this practice . I am sickened by Rana and his incompetent and pathological lying staff to lie on the pre-condition of our pet before the dental surgery with Rana on 8/26/2022 which killed Remy . Although Remy was 15 yrs old, she had a clinical anatomy and prognosis of two year old Maltese . She was given extra ordinary love and care by the family , her unremarkable health before surgery by Rana is due the care given by the family and definitely not because of the care of this veterinarian practice and Rana is fully aware it .Post-surgery, we consulted 2 other veterinarians who said Remys bloodwork was nearly perfect and in unremarkable health prior to surgery with Dr. Rana, who recommended we do the dental surgery. Her bloodwork results after dental surgery indicated end-stage severe liver damage scarring. Connect the dots.Eileen, the front desk assistant, injected Remy with an antibiotic, Convenia, a drug well known for killing many healthy dogs both young and senior age. Since when is an admin assistant allowed to do this under any circumstances? Eileen does not hold a medical veterinary license to distribute drugs to animals, especially without asking our permission. Convenia, once injected, this drug takes about 2 months to be removed from your pets system. In other words, it is a death sentence if your pet has any reaction to this medication.We requested a pill antibiotic for Remy prior to surgery. Eileen went against our wishes. Our dog had to suffer as a result of this negligence.To the response by the practice and the owner Rana Jaipal indicating or giving fallacious impression and/or indication that Remy was chronically ill pre-surgery is appalling and medically against any veterinarian hand book to put a dog how he described as chronically ill under general anesthesia and inject antibiotics post surgery into Remy without the owners consent which resulted in Renal failure and death .This is the same practice and Rana who told us that our Remys pre-surgery blood work was unremarkable and he has done many dental surgeries on older dogs with great success and not to worry about anything!! Pulling pets teeth or human teeth is medical practice not a trope game to see how many tooth you can pull to charge clients!Rana, Remy is another furry dog for you and the staff but for us she was our joy and happiness for 15+ years. The whole family is devastated by her death , do not insult us anymore than the damage done . She would definitely would have stayed with us for few more years ,without this malfeasance.MJ

Amazing staff a Eileen is the best she always listens to you and is very warm and caring ! Dr .Rana has taken care of my furry babies for a couple years now and he has always given us the best treatment that was best for our fur babies. He is always able to be reached if there is an emergency. Always so greatful for them !!

My first time going to the office the Dr. did not introduce himself or even greet me when entering the room.Also said my puppy has aggressive behavior because as he was cutting his nails he growled.Dr then proceed to raise his hand at the dog as if he was going to hit him.He was highly recommended by a family friend but I will not be returning.
