The entire staff are warm and friendly. Treated my sassy spicy cat with respect. Very kind to me. They explained everything thing to me. Clean will lit waiting area. The exam room is bright and cheerful with enough space not to feel cramped.

My first visit and I loved this place. Dr. Pike treated my puppy like he had been going there forever. He made me feel comfortable and I felt that I had made the right choice in choosing a vet for my pet. The connection was real❤️❤️❤️

Front end staff very effective. Vet techs and Vets knowledgeable. I miss the warmth of the smaller office. The prices are high now however they try for lower med costs and thats thoughtful. Impeccably clean and rest rooms customers may use.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars as I can’t recommend Aqueduct enough! They love my dog and I know he is in good hands whenever we have to go in, whether it is for a regular check up or a sick visit.

We’ve had a fantastic experience at Aqueduct Animal Hospital! We moved to Schenectady from Central NY a year ago and have brought our cat in 3 times now, most recently for a dental cleaning. We were under the impression he would need teeth removed but he thankfully did not! We had an incredible experience with Paul and the other staff who worked on him yesterday, who all raved about Hercules and his demeanor. The prices are super fair, knowing the times we live in. I love the discount that was just put in place for dental treatments, it truly helped us out! We expected to pay almost $1500 yesterday, if teeth had to be removed, and our bill ended up being less than half of that! I’ve seen Dr. Pike and Dr. Blanchette now and had positive experiences with them both and with all of the reception staff, as well. I loved that a staff member followed up with me today about Hercules recovery from his dental as well, it was so kind! I truly can’t say enough good things about Aqueduct, I am so happy I chose them when researching vets during our move last winter. I am thankful to have a great practice to rely on for our very special fur son!

I absolutely love the entire staff! As does my dogs and they are very comfortable they have so much compassion for my babies. I wouldnt go anywhere else if I have a question they are right on it and care so much for my babies they even call and check up on them! I truly couldnt ask for a better vet! Their prices are great too! They dont sales talk you like other places.

First time here with my new pup and Ive been to a couple vets, this place is posh, clean, spacious,super friendly, knowledgeable and not mention they are affordable and personable!!!!!..I had no clue they were located right around the corner from me. There are vets actually closer but on first meeting Dr Nikki,...I actually am going to move my other babies over here to her, shes so attentive and full of information for the human. My baby almost jumped off the table just to give her hugs and kisses!!! Her prices, her attitude, her demeanor, the way she speaks to you and the way each baby and person is individual makes the difference for me, I hope she stays this because Im gambling by moving all my babies over here to Aqueduct!!! 10 out of 10 a definite recommend...

I took my cat here to have him checked out and they took bloodwork and called me the next day to inform me that his blood count was lacking potassium and they said that they have some free samples so I go to pick it up and when I get there they tell me that it’s $73 and I rushed out of my house and forgot my wallet. Mind you I just spent $446 the day before and when I get there they tell me that it’s $73 and I asked them if I could call with my information and they said no. I got upset because I just drove almost an hour one way and they wouldn’t let me leave with my cats medicine. Now I get a letter stating that I am no longer welcome because I was upset because my cat needs his medicine and they said no. PLUS they said that there were instances of inappropriate behavior, I don’t know how that was possible since I was only there 2 times. You should not tell people that you’re giving them free samples and then try and charge them for medicine. You Shouldn’t tell someone that you have free samples and NOT tell them after they arrive that the medicine costs anything, and you couldn’t even bill me for $73? That’s just not right, especially when my cat NEEDED the medicine. Your staff acted like they didn’t even care!!!!! You are mistaken when you said that I was having problems with how to pay my bill. My credit is excellent and the person did not specify that they were just giving me free samples of food over the phone. I’ve had other people tell me that they will NEVER bring their animals back. I didn’t threaten anyone and never would. That’s not my character. You are over exaggerating.

Ive had nothing but positive experiences here! I tend to ask lots of questions during appointments and have always been met with patience and thoroughness. Ive only lived in the area for about a year and a half and am thankful to have found a vet that cares for my babies just as much as I care for them. Thank you for being awesome Dr. Pike!

I have a sick dog that I paid a lot of money to have several tests done just for them to not call me back, refuse to give me my test results, and then send me the wrong dogs chart with all the owners personal information on it. The manager was apologetic and had the owner call me with yet again no diagnosis or even a recommendation on what the next step would be. Just completely stopped communicating with me. Absolute trash service.****To the reply****I spoke to the owner whose last communication with me was that he was going to talk to the first vet I saw at aqueduct and call me back. There were zero phone calls back and no recommendations for future appointments/testing. I do understand that not everything was an easy fix but I can assure you no one called me back after the owner said he was going to talk to the other vet and after the many times I had to call initially to just get test results I did not choose to play that game again. So yes I would consider the service I received as trash. Had there been a recommendation on another visit I would have gladly brought my dog back in.

My wife and I have owned cats collectively for 70+ years and we have never experienced the circus of having a different vet in each of our several visits including an actual horse doctor treating our cat - malpractice at a staggering, widespread level. They killed our cat via their negligence and misdiagnosis, and then displayed no remorse, sympathy, or professionalism in the aftermath. They advertised emergency services when they had none, which led to the avoidable death of our cat, And they made it very clear that all they cared about was the money. Also, this is not the first time they have been accused of killing an animal.

I can not believe my eyes. “Our condolences” “we are grieving too”. You are not allowed to grieve Aqueduct! You killed a puppy that needed surgery and you chose not to do surgery when it was needed. You are responsible for this puppies death! You do not send a dog home that is that I’ll and can not even walk. You knew he had 2 blockages and chose to wait another day and send him home. You made Thai puppy suffer for 2 days before he passed away in another vets parking lot even after they attempted cpr! You should not be open, you should be sued! Veterinarians are suppose to have the love for animals, this is not love! This is taking people money, killing their pets and then say we are grieving too! Not ok! You are not grieving by any means! If you cared at all about the pets that walk in your door then you would have not made this puppy SUFFER for 2 days and you would have helped him!

Ive been going here for 19yrs, way before it found its new home. Ever since Dr. Pike joined, i stuck with him for all my pets. I took both my labs here from pups to their 16yr and almost 17yrs of life. From minor issues and pain management as they became elderly. I am currently taking the new dogs here as well. Friendly staff, amazing service, and great care with all my dogs. Highly recommend.

Vets are very caring. While we were there a couple came in to put their dog down. The girls put out candles and a sign to explain someone was saying goodbye. Very respectful

Doctors and staff are kind, patient and always helpful and responsive. They genuinely want to help, accommodate reasonable asks and take time to discuss issues with your pets. I regularly board here when on long vacations and they are top notch.

I’ve been bringing my pet here for just under a decade. I’ve had fair to excellent experiences with the various doctors and nurses over the years. The office staff can be hit or miss - some are very pleasant while some can seem irritated you’re there. Recently one was snippy with me on the phone when I was booking an appointment and misunderstood a question she asked.The facility has gotten ridiculous with its pricing. Depending on how they code something in their system, you could be paying for it again at your next visit. I was charged twice for the same $80 service, coded two different ways, just a month apart. And of course it wasn’t communicated to me beforehand that I would be charged again for it. It’s begun feeling very “nickel-dime”. I’ll be exploring other options.

Started going here about a year ago after moving to the area. The staff and vets are incredibly kind and take their time with us. Our first cat was sick and declined quickly and they were there every step of the way with us. Also, their prices are reasonable and transparent.

Both doctor and staff were very detailed and answered all my questions without rushing. Clean facility adds to the positive experience.

We have been going to Aqueduct Animal Hospital for over 30 years with our numerous dogs past and present. We love the new facility. Great knowledgeable, friendly professional, vets and staff. Appointments for unforeseen health issues have been scheduled the same day. Facility is great and offers grooming, daycare and boarding. All we could ask for.

Not my visit but helped a friend. Was quite impressed. They came out to car, retrieved pet and brought them back after visit. Very fast, very friendly staff. If I need a Vet Ill be going there.

Excellent care from doctors and techs, staff is very helpful, clean modern office and Quincy mini Aussie doodle patient likes it there!

Amazed.... 6 calls and left 3 messages to set up a first visit with our new cat.... no return calls, eventually call 7 got through to a lady.... oh OK new client.... we need $25 non-refundable deposit now so we can set up an account. So question, why $25 to set up an account ?...

We have been bringing our cats here for 6 years since we got them as kittens. We were able to see them in an urgent situation before we even established them as our vet. Their new facility is much bigger and has separate waiting areas for cats and dogs. Front desk staff are friendly, vet techs are knowledgeable, and weve had good experiences with all 3 DVMs. One of our cats also gets groomed there 3-4x/year. I like that they know her history and have a comparable price (or cheaper) than local pet stores for grooming.

Dr. Pike and his staff are the absolute best. The receptionists are kind and compassionate. The techs are concerned with Bella’s well being. Dr Pike and Dr. Caravate are wonderful vets who listen to my concerns and treat Bella as if she was their dogs. Bella has had multiple health issues and they have been right by my side.

I love Aqueduct, I’ve been going here for a few years and wish I knew about them sooner. I see Dr Blanchette, she and the rest of the staff always make sure my kitties are well taken care of. I recommend her to all of my friends, she really listens to every question and concern you have. I am so grateful for her patients and knowledge. Aqueduct is wonderful! All the staff are pleasant and compassionate. Special shout-out to Dr. Blanchette who is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and experienced! My cat recently had some health issues and Dr. Blanchette was so helpful. Dr. Blanchette always led with care and empathy, and was also thorough in providing information and choices. Its always difficult when your pet is not feeling well, but it was a relief to have a caring place to turn to. Thank you, Aqueduct!

The vets are great, but the rest of the staff is also amazing.I drive past three other vets to get to this one.

Wonderful veterinary clinic, all the staff members are so pleasant and nice. Our vet, Dr. Pike was so good with my son, so gentle and loving. You can tell he truly loves what he does and loves his patients. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Aquaduct Animal Hospital is the very best of the best. As a dog owner for 58 years, I have never been more pleased with the quality of care provided by Dr Pike and his exceptional staff, or the fantastic (state of the art) facility in which services are provided. The daycare facility and adoring staff are second to none. My dog gets so happy and excited to go there, that his whole body is wagging when we get to the door. I highly recommend Aquaduct Animal Hospital!

*this was the care we received from the emergency vet for 7 hours. I have the bill and the pictures of my dog at the emergency vet getting treatment. he had eaten toxic mushrooms from the backyard. I have taken my dogs to you for years would not post something if it was not true.I went to their facility after calling in and letting them know I have an emergency with my pup if they were able to see me and treat him. this was at 6pm and they were closing at 7pm. the receptionist said yes knowing they were closing in an hour to bring my pup in. my pup was having neurological symptoms due to ingesting a toxic substance and was getting worst. they sat us in a room for the doctor to come in and tell me that the dog is having a reaction and to take him to the emergency vet after a whole hour of sitting in the doctors room waiting for him to come while my dog was getting worst. no one was coming to see him even though I was telling the nurses. he was vomiting and loosing consciousness and was progressively becoming more unresponsive and started drooling. the doctor walked I for 2 mins to see the pup like it was a joke looked at hom said it was up to me but he thinks I can take him home and watch him since they are closing now and they dont have anyone to watch him through out the night or I can take him to the emergency vet and have them watch him there. charged me $100 for sitting there waiting for an hour for them to tell me to take him to another vet. did nothing not even a blood test. I rushed with him to upstate emergency vet where they took amazing care of him. he was in toxic shock from injesting a toxic substance and needed blood test to make sure his kidney and liver wasnt damage and iv fluids to rehydrate him as he was constantly throwing up and refusing food or water. thank God to them for saving my pup and taking so much care and attention to him in this emergency moment. will never take my dog back to aqueduct animal hospital and recommend anyone to go there. they are money hungry and a waste of time. when I called in at 6pm the receptionist and doctor should not have wasted my time to have me bring my pup who needed emergency service to them knowing they were closing and couldnt treat him just to make an extra $100 from me sitting there waiting. my dog was so sick and could have died. heartless team horrible doctor.

They’ve been very helpful to me & my sister for our dogs, and comparatively not that expensive. It’s fairly easy to get an appointment & they are great with the dogs.

The staff are incredibly generous, caring, thoughtful, and has always been accommodating for all of my dogs needs! Overall, everyone is friendly and the facility is clean. I would highly recommend anyone to come to Aqueduct Animal Hospital!

Scheduled appointment for our cat today, called back literally 45 minutes later because the appointment is no longer needed. I was told I had to pay $25.00 cancellation fee over the phone. I am sorry but I literally just called, technically it is fair, but not very pleasant.

Home away from home for my fur babies. Cant say enough good things, but ...Ive been bringing my dog to daycare for two years. To say he loves it is an understatement. All the staff know us by name and make it a friendly environment. I also board here when I travel. Bringing my dog here has given me real piece of mind.The vet care is great. Dr. Pike goes out of his way to offer advice on diet, behaviors, etc. for my dog. Dr. Caravati is so nice and caring. He had my normally shy cat purring and completely relaxed on his last visit.

Amazing staff and very helpful, always very polite too. Normally I dread any type of socialization but here they are just great and take good care of your pet to boot

I have a 19 year old cat who is treating for high blood pressure and hyperthyroidism and thanks to Aqueduct she is still going strong! Love you guys!!!

We have been bringing our Malchi Princess to Aqueduct since she was a puppy, so about 7 years now. The Doctors and staff are great. They are always courteous and attentive to our needs and questions. They dont have outrageous prices when it comes to their services and medications. They have ways that they can help their clientele, if theyre having issues with a bill due to an expensive surgery. I always recommend them when someone is looking for a veterinary hospital that cares for their clientele and their pets.

Ill start out by saying the Veteranarians were amazingly wonderful. They were professional, compassionate, and a pleasure to be around. The office staff however, was absolutely terrible and unprofessional. My dog was in such bad pain and unfortunately Aqueduct was the only place that had an appt today. So I took it. We had to have our baby put down. That was $200.00. ok fine. Then we were quoted the prices for cremation, mass or private cremation, where you get the ashes back, which we wanted (of course). We asked if it was possible to pay half of the cremation charges today and the rest when we picked him up. She said yes, that wouldnt be a problem, let me just check with the office manager. She comes back and tells us no, the office manager said no. It must all be paid today. Unprofessionalism at its best. So we wrapped our baby up after the wonderful doctor humanely euthanized him and drove him to the Mohawk Valley humane society and paid $125.00 TOTAL to have him cremated and returned in a beautiful urn. I was going to get a quote to bring our cat in for her shots, etc. But after this, Ill have to pass.

2 star based on boarding policies. The told me that they run their boarding like a hotel. 24 hrs cancellation if you pick up a day earlier than planned or you will be charged for the next day. Plus extra cost for play time or outside time in addition to the boarding which brings cost to close to $50 per night. They say they are competitive. One lady behind the desk simply said I should feel free to take my dog elsewhere. Just review all their rules and costs.Note: Dr. Pike is 5 star great and the people in the boarding area are super as well as the doctor’s assistant.

I can not thank the staff at Aqueduct enough, theyve treated us like family. I have 3 dogs of varying sizes from small to large. They performed a spay for me and just the other day extracted 9 teeth from another dog. Not only do they call you with updates through out the day while your pet is there, they also call the next day to check up on them. The Vets do not try to sell you unnecessary services or visits unlike the other 2 vets weve had over the past 7 years have. Ive been going here for 2 1/2 years. I will never use another practice. Follow-up visits post procedure are complimentary and they offer a military discount! The vet techs are awesome, the front desk staff are awesome, I see Dr. Pike who is outstanding! All answer all of my worrisome necrotic questions about my pets lol.

Queduct for almost 40 years even with a hiatus during the Dr. Rapp years....We came back because we found Dr. Pike to be an excellent vet to our 1 dog and 3 cats. The staff know my dog by name and treat her very well. She loves to go there and loves doggy day care. The techs and desk staff are WONDERFUL,kind and compassionate. The negative reviews are pretty unwarranted.

Dr. Pike is remarkably knowledgeable and thorough in the way he manages the care of our fur babies. I have one very sick older dog and one younger pup that I thought was in perfect health. Both had previously had regular care at a respected animal hospital.

We had an emergency situation as our vet was out ot town. Aqueduct scheduled us into a cancelled appointment. We were treated like old friends; caring, thoughtful doctor, vet tech, and administration staff. Beautiful facilities.

This vet has been with me since I adopted a dog in 2016. We used their daycare until the fall of 2017 when we moved. I registered and started a baseline with my dog at a new closer vet (at the urging of the Aqueduct staff) but have only ever used the new vet as back up or in an emergency. The daycare is not only one of the best staffed around but also one of the most cost effective. We have done boarding many times while I was overseas or at a work conference (situations I wasnt able to check in with them for a few days in a row). Last summer my dog was at his new daycare and started vomiting blood. My secretary called the vet to let them know we were coming in and when I arrived they met me in the parking lot to carry him in. While I waited both the office staff and daycare staff came out and sat with me to keep me calm. We recently had surgery and not only did the vet explain the procedure well but also gave me a wonderful estimated price breakdown. I dont think I can explain in a Google review how much like family this place makes me feel.

The staff is wonderful and so are the veterinarians. Anytime I have had a problem with my dog they have always been able to accommodate him. He loves all the love and attention he gets there as well as the great care.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have a hard time walking and my dogs tend to pull me. Some one always comes to my truck to bring them in to the building and back to my truck. I definitely recommend this animal facility.

I have had nothing but great experiences with taking my babies here. I have a chihuahua that had to have most of her teeth removed and the anesthesiologist pretty much held her until I came to pick her up that night. I also recently had to have one of my dogs put to sleep after he was found to have cancer and was in so much pain. They exhausted every effort to first rule out cancer and keep him comfortable but in the end no matter what it was his time. They were so caring through the entire ordeal and even afterwards. I highly recommend this place. From beginning to end the entire staff are amazing.

Dr Pike and Caravaty have always been super attentive to our pets. The tech Paul loves our dog and gives him personal attention. The staff are friendly and appointments are easy to make.

Just want to comment on what a WONDERFUL PLACE AQUEDUCT IS !!! My year old puppy was stung this week and has had some complications which the staff and Vets are working diligently to fix!!!! I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care that my Fur Babies ( I have 4 !! 3 dogs and a cat ) have consistently received from these wonderful people !!! Special thanks to Paul, Mariah, Ruthie,Kerry, Maureen and Especially Dr C and Dr Pike !!! WE LOVE YOU ❤️❤️❤️

When my 17 year old cat became sick, Dr C was determined to get him better. I informed him that my cat did not take water well from a medicine syringe. Dr C set my cat up for appts for a week straight to have a vet tech administer his meds. Hes doing a lot better and Im so appreciative to Dr C, the front desk staff and the vet techs!

We have utilized the services of Dr. Pike and his staff since we bought a house in old Niskayuna 26 years ago. Several years ago we adopted 2 older cats (19 and 21) and luckily had them with us for almost 6 years. We have always been animal lovers but this was our first experience with cats and we would have been lost without the advice and support of Dr. Pike and his staff. Unfortunately we lost them to feline diseases about 2 years ago and they helped us get through the whole process and we would have been lost without them! Soon after we adopted 2 nine year old cats who had lived in the shelter their whole life so to say they are skittish is an understatement! For all of the pet lovers in the community, especially in our neighborhood I cant even imagine these amazing neighbors not being here with us. They have earned the right to stay here after taking care of hundreds of our beloved pets over the years!

I love Aqueduct so much. They are friendly, kind, thorough and reasonably priced. They have been great to me and my fur babies for years. Im so grateful for them.

No one ever go to this place. My dog died under their control and mine isnt the first. Brought my dog in to get her teeth checked. They gave her a rabies vaccination and shortly after she was acting weird then foamed from the mouth and threw up. She never had an allergic reaction in her life from a rabies shot. So they took her back in then gave her benadryl to offset the reaction. That didnt help so Dr. Pike then injected her with a steroid and still nothing. They then put her on oxygen and an iv and injected her again with a steroid. And they had no explanation as to what happened. We then brought her the an emergency clinic which, on the way she had passed. Worst part is, she was was a gift from my godfather who I just lost recently.

I take my four cats to Aqueduct and have never been unhappy with the care they receive. The staff know my cats by name, their individual health issues, their preferences, and more. I have referred friends to Aqueduct and have only received positive feedback.

The new facility is stunning! Matches the customer service & skills. My cat always looks great after grooming & affordable care.

Dr. Caravaty is great and most of the Vet Techs are as well. The only real negative thing I can say is the rude attitude from Maureen at the front desk. She is condesending and I dont understand why. Maureens attitude has been noticed on numerous occasions by myself and other customers that bring their pets to this establishment.

They took very good care of my cats on their first appointment. They took the time to explain things, and make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend bringing your pets here.

They gave my dog a shot and because they gave us the wrong price.they messed with her records and it say she didnt get the distemper shot.but she did and i wrote it inmy records at home.instead of letting us mail the 25$ to them for the balance .they falsely took it off the bill.who does that?

Do not bring your loved one to this facility. My dog went in for a routine teeth cleaning and died under anesthesia. No explanation how or why. Unskilled and untrained techs and vet.

My cat was screaming during a simple exam. I will never go back there. The doctor was so rough. I havent seen anything like this before.

Awful! Not sure why it’s called animal hospital when they don’t take walk ins or emergencies. They don’t seem to care much either that it’s an emergency when they go to charge you $75 for it! Will never ever bring my animals here.

Aqueduct Animal Hospital has four Veterinarians so theres always someone on duty in the event you need to make an emergency or illness appointment. Reasonable fees make the visits more affordable, and staff is always available to answer questions. Facilities are always clean and staff is very friendly too.

Not sure what all of the fuss about the waiting room is... definitely felt great about our visit! Everyone was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable; everything appeared clean and orderly. Juniper saw Dr. Pike and I felt very comfortable with him; knowledge, rapport, gentle yet firm demeanor with my saucy, 4.1 lb diva!

I loved this place I needed to bring my dog into a emergence appointment they got her in the very next day very good service for not breaking the bank I definitely recommended

Some of the staff have been short with me in the past.

I took my kitten there to receive her booster shots and a nail clipping and she was injured in process by a Vet Tech. They also did not catch that my cat had fleas on her initial visit.

Love it. Great service. Worth ever minute.
