We absolutely love Skaneateles Dogs! John and team do a wonderful job with my boys. Not only do they look and smell great after their visit - they clearly have a great time while theyre there. I dont hesitate to leave them in Skan Dogs hands. Im especially impressed with how well theyve tackled my huskys thick coat. These are active farm dogs who love to roll in things they shouldnt. I so look forward to grooming days. I could not recommend enough!

John did a fantastic job on my double coated American Akita! Not only did his groom looking amazing, but when I picked him up he was happy and comfortable, which tells me that time was taken to gain his trust. GREAT groomer and very reasonably priced.

We love Skaneateles Dogs! We have both of our Sheepadoodles groomed there! The staff always listen to our requests, and our pups not only look gorgeous, but also seem so happy to be there. We have had issues with other groomers where our dogs seemed nervous or timid to walk in the door - at Skaneateles Dogs they run right in! We are so grateful to have an excellent groomer that is available, convenient and does a great job!

After trying several groomers over the years, I can easily say that our 6 yr old, 60lb Goldendoodle got the best cut of her life and more than a few people commented on it too. Went to Skaneateles Dogs for the first time with my little long haired dachshund who had never been groomed before! She was very nervous and John took time to let her sniff him and explore the space before he started grooming. He even let me stay while he bathed her to make sure she was going to be ok! She ended up loving being groomed! John listened to my requests for how I wanted her cut and she looked beautiful! I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Absolutely loved the service that we received for our dog from Skaneateles Dogs! They were able to get us in on a super short notice, and went above and beyond to take care of Mollie. She has never come home from a groomer smelling so good, with a clean smell that lasted. The staff are also very friendly, and you can tell that they love what they do. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Loyal customer here -- I bring my dog in every two months. They always take their time with grooming, especially with dematting. The first time I brought my dog in they spent hours getting every single knot and tangle out to get him to where we can bring him in for upkeep and maintenance. Very fair price for the level of work they do. The staff is all really friendly and accommodating -- highly recommend!

After many years of settling for rushed, “just okay” grooming services elsewhere, I randomly met Beth and John’s family at a local park. From our first interaction, they treated our anxious Alaskan Malamute, Fletcher, like their own. His double coat is challenging to groom, but he always leaves Skaneateles Dogs shiny, smooth, and smelling great (we get many compliments!). John takes the time to consult and ensure you are completely satisfied at every appointment. Most importantly, Fletch loves spending the day there so much that he refuses to leave the car after I bring him home from grooming. John and Beth are incredibly kind, talented, and passionate people. I won’t take my dog anywhere else!

Skaneateles Dogs is top notch! My fur baby decided to have an early morning run in with a skunk and John understood my panic and was able to squeeze her in. He was kind, professional and made me feel comfortable leaving her with him. She came out looking and selling fantastic! I will be returning to him in the future. Thank you for all you help today !

These guys are AMAZING. I have tough dogs to groom both with the hair cut and nail cuts and the groomers here were able to groom them and make them look good! They make it very easy and they communicate very well. They are also well priced in my opinion . 10/10

Ive brought my little fluffy Rusty to several different dog groomers over the years, and I have had several great experiences over the years with a few. Skaneateles Dogs is by far the best grooming service Rusty has experienced. He got picked up in a little doggy van and came back home a few hours later looking, smelling, and feeling great! The facility is clean and well kept, and all the doggos seemed happy and content being there. I could tell how happy he was and that he had a great experience. His tail was wagging a mile a minute, and I just knew Beth and John took excellent care of him! I highly recommend Skaneateles Dogs, and Im sure you will too!

I have always groomed my own Golden Retrievers but when I had shoulder surgery I was unable to. It’s the first time our 2 year old Golden has had anyone else groom her and she has a tendency to be quite timid. She had not been properly groomed in 6 months due to my surgery limitations and had a lot of winter undercoat that needed to be combed out. Skaneateles Dogs did a great job with her. They took their time with her to make her feel comfortable, and got all of the loose hair and spring shedding off of her. No more golden hair tumbleweeds all around the house or sponges of hair on her feet carrying in water and spring mud in. I greatly appreciate the beautiful job they did and am very happy to not have to spend 3 hours of my own time bathing, grooming and clipping then having to clean up the bathroom and fur from the house or taking her to a self wash unit. I am so happy to have Skaneateles Dogs so close to home! The couple was so welcoming and kind and took a lot of time with our dog. The place was very clean and decorated nicely. She smelled the best she has ever smelled and was so soft! Will definitely go back.

I brought my 7 month old Aussiedoodle here for her first ever haircut. They did an absolutely amazing job listening to what I wanted and making her look beautiful and clean. They were kind and gentle with her, kept her for multiple hours to make sure they went slow and the process wasn’t too stressful for her, and texted me as soon as she was done. Absolutely amazing job by very kind people.

Beth and John have been taking care of my small Yorkie for over a year now. Beth started out taking her for a long walk a couple times a week, and now she also bathes and trims her. Bronte just loves them and the camaraderie of the other dogs! Their location is very convenient and they are planning to expand.

My dogs were clean, soft, smelled great, and most of all, were relaxed and happy when I picked them up.
