We had a really exceptional experience at Best Friends. I just boarded our dog Misha for a couple of days, and included a bath and trim in the package. They were careful to tell me that the trim wasnt really full grooming -- that was fine with me. Misha has tangled, matted fur that I find nearly impossible to take care of, so any help was welcome. I mean, Im embarrassed to admit he even had little twigs and pieces of leaves embedded in his fur! Anyway, I didnt expect Best Friends to be able to do much beyond giving him a bath and maybe brushing out a little excess dog hair.But, when I picked him up last night -- unbelievable! He was beautifully trimmed and bathed. I dont know how the person (or people) who bathed him managed to do it, but the results were really really impressive, and way beyond my expectations.I should also extend my compliments to the rest of the staff. My dog is anxious and doesnt like being boarded, but this place has such a good vibe, he was as calm as Ive ever seen him at a kennel. The people working the front desk when I dropped him off and when I picked him up really knew how to talk to him and calm him down.

I have been using Best Friends for many years. I used them with my sweet dog Lucy and now with my new dog Hazel. At Best Friends they are friendly, patient and accommodating. I know when I bring Hazel there for an extended period of time she is in good hands. I can see her play on the dog camera, and I watch her socialize with the other dogs. When I pick her up, I know she had fun, and she is extremely exhausted from all the excitement and activities. One day, I plan on taking her to the doggy day care so she can have fun when I am at work. Oh, and one last thing they also have grooming so when I pick her up, she is soft and clean.

We have been taking our dog Daisy to Best Friends in Chestnut Ridge for about 3 yrs for both day care and boarding since she was a puppy. John and all of the staff there are so caring and show her so much love. I know that she is very well cared for when she is there because she gets very excited when we drop her off and comes home very happy and content. The grooming services are great too. Daisy always comes home smelling fresh and clean. The staff is also very accommodating and helpful. Im thankful we have a place that we trust to care for Daisy!

Having been using Best Friends for the last 3-4 years for our elderly morkie. She is always taken care of when we go away. They also have cameras where you can check in during the day. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We just returned from our vacation and picked up our dog, Cooper from Best Friends Pet Hotel in Chestnut Ridge.. They took wonderful care of our boy while we were away! We have only had to put him in a kennel a handful of times and he was so nervous the first time he stayed somewhere.. Since switching to Best Friends, Cooper is so much happier during drop off and pick up. It is clear that the employees there really do love animals and take care of them as if they were their own.. They always ask when Cooper is coming back because they love playing with him. Highly recommend Best Friends Pet Hotel to anyone in the area! Great value for money and great peace of mind knowing your pet is in great hands!

When I picked up Luna from her 2 night stay she was clean and didnt seem to want to leave lol. I am happy I found this place because I feel like I can actually trust that shell be okay while were away.

I have been taking my dog Leo to Best Friends Pet Hotel for the past year. All experiences have been great. The staff truly loves dogs, easily evidenced by Leo being so excited every time we walk inside. Victoria and John are always there to greet us and are both very helpful. Within the past year, I have also used their grooming services, and Jackie always does a great job.

I have been using Best Friends for both boarding and grooming for at least 15 years (2 different dogs) I have always been very pleased and felt that they treated my “children “ as if they were their very own. I would highly recommend them.

My dog Rupert has been going to Best Friends for 4 years for Doggy Day Camp and for boarding . He loves this place and gets so excited when I tell him we’re going to camp. John is wonderful as are Jackie, Victoria and jasmine . They love what they do and it’s obvious with the way they care for our pets . Would highly recommend

Best Friends Pet Hotel is a great place! I have taken my dog there multiple times for overnights. They take great care of her and always update me if there are any concerns. I do 1:1 when boarding her, and I know she enjoys her time. I would love it if they sent more photos during their stays but you can tell the staff cares for the animals.

They require all vaccinations to be up to date which is a must in my book. My dogs enjoyed their stay there and had the chance to meet and play with other dogs their own size as they keep the larger dogs separated from the smaller ones as well. They provide many add one for your dogs comfort and ask if you want them bathed ( although at an additional charge). Highly recommend!

Jackie is awesome! She took great care of our golden when grooming and he looked wonderful after. You can tell she really cares and loves for the animals.

We were traveling overseas for over 2 weeks I could not have found a better team than Best Friends to board & care for our Frenchie, Winnie. Especially appreciate John coordinating our pickup on a holiday and photo emails! Winnie came home happy and healthy although I think she misses some of her friends from day camp play. Will certainly use again in the future.

We board our 11 yr old Lab here when we have to travel. He loves going here and is always happy when I take him over. Its a bit of a drive for us (we live in CT) but worth it! John and all the workers treat him w/such love

We did a tour of the facility and did a trial run with our dog, Toby, quickly after. Everyone was very nice and able to answer all of our questions. The facility was clean and appeared to be well maintained. I also love that they have live cameras, which gives peace of mind when you start to worry and miss your pup. We booked a week stay for him while we are on vacation in July, and are confident that he will have lots of fun and be well taken care of!

Started bringing my two dogs there recently and couldnt be happier with the service I was provided. I was a little nervous leaving them for the first time but John answered all my questions and Victoria sent me pictures during their stay. Jackie was even able to squeeze my two big guys in for a bath last minute before they came home. So happy definitely would recommend!

Very caring staff. They take good care of the Peace4Paws dogs. They are very helpful to our volunteers as well. They have helped facilitate adoptions. They care about the rescue dogs and the client dogs very much!

I board both my Basset Hounds there whenever we go on vacation. John is very nice and is very trustworthy with my dogs. In the years I have been going there I have never had a problem. I like that you can watch the dogs on camera

I brought my dog in for a grooming and to have her nails cut. She’s a very well behaved dog, but a little skittish about the dryer. The groomer was great with her and figured out that she was much more comfortable getting dried if they took her off the table and let her stand on the floor. Not many places put in the effort to try to make your pet more comfortable, they just want to get the process over with. I highly recommend using their grooming services.

I have used Best Friends Chestnut Ridge for over 2 years now and have always had a great experience. They treat my dog Maya with a lot of love and care. Customer service is fantastic and I highly recommend this location to everyone looking to board their dogs. The petcam feature is an added bonus that lets me check in on my dog when I am traveling.

We have been using Best Friends for about 3 years now and they are amazing. We have a reactive dog and they are very understanding and willing to work with us and him to ensure he is well taken care of. He always goes in happy and energetic and comes out happy but tired from all the fun he’s had.

I have been bringing my nervous and shy German Shepard to Best friends in Chestnut Ridge NY for 3 years now. They have always taken good care of him so much so that he turns in to a lap dog and is so excited to be there. John, Jackie, Sam always do a great job taking care of him.

I recently had the pleasure of using best friends services. And I couldnt be happier with the John. My dog Simba was not only thoroughly cleaned after the bath but also seemed to have been taken care of very well. The level of care and attention given was evident in how relaxed and happy my dog was afterward.

The grooming is amazing! My sensitive pitbull is allergic to everything and they do so great with her skin and customize her baths to her needs! Shes also very anxious but when she goes there, loves her groomer and loves to get her baths by her !

Our puppy goldendoodle has had a great daycare and boarding experience at the Chestnut Ridge, NY location. Our puppy is active, happy and socialized. The entire staff is AMAZINg, anll around and I’m so grateful Bo has a second home there.

I was fortunate to meet them through Peace for Paws Animal Rescue as they were boarding my beloved pup prior to her coming home with me. Cara bonded so closely with the team there, and now, anytime I need to travel for work or personal reasons, all I have to do is ask Cara, Want to go to camp? And she jumps with excitement on the way out our door, and the second that John, Victoria or Jackie greet her, she is clearly so comfortable with them and leaves me with amazing peace of mind when she is there. Best Friends Pet Hotel took great care of our dog Missy while we took our cruise. We normally get the cold shoulder for a week from the dog when we leave her at other “pet resorts”. We were surprised that she was really affectionate when we picked her up. Thanks to John Graham and the staff, our dog will definitely be coming back.

Best Friend’s Pet Hotel has been wonderful with our dogs. They board them when we have no fosters or adopters available, and they love them like their own. The employees are all absolute sweethearts, as well as incredibly knowledgeable, and John, the manager, is phenomenal. He is kind, generous, patient, and easy going. We are incredibly lucky to have them in our corner!

We rescued our Lucas from Peace4Paws through Best Friends. He was clearly extremely well treated and loved by the walkers and workers at Best Friends. He is the happiest boy at home! We have brought him back to Best Friends for grooming with Jackie and she takes excellent care of him. He always comes home with the softest fur, a nice mani/pedi and happy after his bath time.

We always love going to visit for a stay. My pup Jax is always so excited to see his puppy friends and the friendly staff as well. We feel safe when we are away, knowing that he is well cared for.

This is a safe friendly place for your dog even if you dog is not social. My two prefer to be with each other and are anxious around other dogs. They can deal with that which most places cannot. The staff has been great.

Best Friends is great. Have boarded my cats there for years with no issues. Boarding is always traumatizing to our furry friends, but my cats have always come back home in good condition. Friendly staff. John is great.

We have dropped our dog of at Best Friends for years now and continue to be pleased. Addie always comes out happy and excited with no issues. My dog isn’t very socialized and gets rather anxious, but they make drop off easy, working to make her comfortable. She also gets very anxious around men but John at the front has a calming way with her and she goes right to him. John was also very quick to offer us to meet with their new groomer, to let them know of any issues our dog might have and we felt very comfortable leaving her. They did an amazing job grooming her which is not easy with a long haired German shepherd who needed A LOT of attention. Definitely continue to recommend Best Friends.

I brought my dog Bailey in to get her nails cut, she’s usually very anxious and not agreeable during this process but Jackie was absolutely wonderful keeping her calm and happy she even got her tail to wag 10/10 will go back ask for Jackie :)

We left two very pampered dogs with Best Friends for a week last month. We had no issues at all and were very satisfied with the car provided at Best Friends. I even got a few emailed photos of my pups during the week to put our minds at ease. The staff was accommodating and friendly at drop off and pick up and even worked with us when a flight delay meant the dogs had to stay an extra night with barely any notice. Im happy to have found a new boarding facility for the few times a year we need to board our pets (family members). Thank you Best Friends!

I would NOT recommend BEST FRIENDS in Montvale, NJ. Each time you take your pet for grooming they make you fill out an in-take form. WHY??? Such a waste of time. If your dog comes for grooming every month shouldnt they have your preferences on file? Honestly, not worth the hassle. Support a local groomer instead!

Recently we needed to board our 17 yr old shepherd mix, Chloe, for the first time in several years. Since we had used Best Friends in the past, we chose them again for the week-long boarding. However, this time we were a bit anxious due to her age. From my very first phone call to book the reservation, I was reassured that they would do everything to make Chloes stay comfortable, including giving her an elevated bed and administering her medicine in the liverwurst we would provide. When we arrived, we were greeted by Suzanne who was very pleasant and helpful and discussed our options of kennel/location. The whole place was very clean and calm. During the course of our vacation, we received updates/photos. Once when Chloe wasnt eating well, we were called and asked if they could add canned food to her bowl. I asked for updates on the eating and received phone call (from Suzanne) and an email (from Alana) that she was eating much better. Each day she had 3 one-on-one playtimes/walks and received good reports. When we picked her up, she was well and happy and we were thrilled to have our Chloe back. We are very grateful to Suzanne, Alana and the whole staff for their excellent care and we highly recommend this Best Friends to everyone.

My dog had her first grooming with Best Friends this week. The staff was kind my nervous dog interacting with her in a gentle way to keep her calm. When I picked her up she looked adorable and appeared more comfortable than I expected. My interaction with the staff was great. They have accommodated for Covid restrictions with curbside system for drop off and pick up. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Thank you!

Ive been going to Best Friends to get our dog groomed for a little over a year. Time after time, they take incredible care of our dude which is no easy task. He is very nervous and anxious but the groomers here know just how to work with him. In addition to the peace of mind I have knowing my dog is in good hands, his haircuts are exactly what we ask for - every single time. Theyve also squeezed us in on short notice which never goes unnoticed.Thank you, Best Friends!!

I am absolutely 100% pleased with Best Friends and would highly recommend them to everyone! I had to leave my 10 year old mini dachshund for a week and got a recommendation to use Best Friends from my vet office. My dog always sleeps in bed with me so I was not sure how this would work out. I was scared and nervous. When I arrived at the facility I saw a dog who couldnt wait to go with the staff. The dog was over-the-moon about being there. The owners told me their dog loved the place. It was so reassuring to say the least. When I was away I calledeveryday to check up on her. The girl who answered the phone was always pleasant and never annoyed at my calling everyday. She told me to hold on so she could go back and check on her. She told me the truth. My dog was doing just fine. I picked my dog up a week later and she was healthy and happy. I am so excited to have found a place I can trust. THANK YOU BEST FRIENDS!!

Best Friends is the only boarding facility I found in the area that has real fenced-in grassy areas and takes the dogs out each morning and afternoon for potty breaks. The other boarding facilities advertise all day play to hide the fact that the dogs there never seen sunlight or fresh grass. I trust Best Friends with my pup and will continue to use Best Friends in the future!

Best friends in Chestnut Ridge is an excellent facility. Our GSD, Shiloh, loves this place.She attended day camp for 4 years and always came home tired and happy. Now that she’s older she only does boarding. The staff treats her like she’s the only dog at the facility.No place is perfect and sometimes there is a bit of a wait. But if you wait 15 mins for your healthy pet you know the priorities are the pets. As a pet owner of 40 years, this place is as good as it gets.

My two dogs come home clean, fed, and happy. Convenient location. Easy check-in and pick up.It’s good to have peace of mind when we’re apart.

I have been using Best Friends Pet Care for 12 years and have never been disappointed. My previous dogs were boarded there when we would go on vacation but now that we have 5 dogs, that is not an option, unfortunately, because they always had a better time than we had!We use Megan for the grooming and she does a fantastic job. They keep the dogs until I am ready to pick them up. There has never been an issue.I highly recommend them.

Took good care of our dogs while we were gone for 6 days. Dogs seemed happy playing with other pups during daycare. They made sure they were comfortable at night from what I heard. I feel good about the decision for them to be there rather than home alone, waiting for a dog walker to come three times a day.Drawbacks:1. Its very hard to get someone on the phone you have to call five or six times during the course of the day to get someone. So they are short staffed. They should address this soon even just setting up a phone answering service.2.The second thing is Im not sure my big dog got enough to eat while he was there because he doesnt usually care that much about food and acted famish for the first 24 hours he was back. Also had a small bite mark on his back which we discovered a couple days after he got back. It was sensitive to the touch and he was very protective of it. So he got nipped at some point buy another dog.3.Also my small dog came back with a slight eye infection in her right eye And luckily I have dog eye drops for this sort of thing.This is all to be expected with dogs playing together many hours every day. I dont think its a big deal.

Ive boarded my dog there twice. I like the fact that I can dial in on my computer and see my dog playing in the day camp. She always loses a little weight, even though I leave my own food there. Mostly pleased with the care she gets, but be careful of bait and switch. They advertise a suite online thats no longer available and if you dont pay for the day camp, they wont walk the dog. They just have to go in their Suite. Not too happy about that. Just be sure to get specifics when you make a reservation about what youre going to get and your pet will be fine. The staff is very loving and she was well supervised when she was with the other dogs

Do not send your animals here!!! This place is not what it was years ago! (I have been a customer for well over 10 years)When I came to pick up my dog after she was boarding at best friends they walked her out and her arm was covered in blood! The owner as well as all the employees had no clue what happened and they had nothing to say, the owner tried grabbing my dogs paw to wipe it with a dry paper towel!!! My 13 year old husky completely freaked out, the owner yelled and pushed my dog. When I looked down she had had a huge gash on the top of her paw. (Mind you mu husky is 13 years old she is harmless :(The owner kept saying they had no idea what happened. They also didn’t know if she was groomed (which I paid for) or not. They couldn’t find her extra food or bag of bones I brought, they couldn’t find her leash or collar so I had to walk my dog out with a bloody gash on her paw. It was the worst day ever!!! This place disgust me!!!!! Stay away !!!

Your dogs are not safe here !!! They did not ask for our dogs vaccine records. That’s a huge no no. Both our dogs came back with kennel cough that the establishment is now denying they had an issue with. Yet when our dogs were boarded.. we called to check in and they told us all dogs were isolated Bc of kennel cough. Maybe if they did their job checking for vaccines like other establishments this wouldn’t happen. Now my one dog is extremely sick, dehydrated and most likely will be a nice bill at the vet. And Best Friends Forever won’t even take accountability for it. Can’t imagine what goes on behind closed doors. Protect your pups and find somewhere else to take them. A complete nightmare!!!

My dog absolutely LOVES this place. Weve been taking my dog, Apollo, here since he was a puppy and now he almost 6. The staff is incredible and all so friendly and make sure the dogs get along well, that my dog eats his food because he can be picky when hes not at home, and that he gets plenty of outside play. They always send us an email of a goofy picture of our dog that we always laugh at and they give you a report when you pick your dog up. Every time we drive into the parking lot my dog knows where he is and he runs in without thinking about saying goodbye to us haha!! Thats just how much he loves it! Nothing bad to say about Best Friends and we will continue to bring Apollo here.

It is difficult to rate this pet hotel. I boarded my senior dog for the first time there. She seemed fine after I picked her up so I guess she was taken care of. There was very little interaction at drop off & pick up. No one asked me anything about what she liked or didn’t like. At pick up nothing was said about how she acted. Other places have done an excellent job at that. Maybe work on some people skills.

I recently boarded my 9 year old dachshund with Best friends.This was the second time I boarded Dijon there. Dijon has a bad back and therefore , he cant play with other dogs. There staff is very accommodating to his needs. When I pick him up he always is happy and that makes me confident that Dijon is well taken care of .. I love when I receive pictures of him.that I receive and the report card as well.

Service was wonderful, Jackie did an amazing grooming job and I can finally see my pups eyes again :)

They have always treated my dog well, and I appreciate that they have cameras during the day camp. It makes it easier to check in whenever youre away to get a good look at your pup.

We have always used Best Friends since we rescued Bear. Bear has issues which we described to the folks at Best Friends and it was clear they kept his issues in mind from the moment we arrived to drop Bear off and then again when we picked Bear up. The staff is excellent and the facility always looks spotless. Most importantly Bear has never had a bad thing to say when he stays there. Recommend highly.

My four month old puppy and I had a very traumatic experience here this week with their doggy day camp. After which, I did in fact write a very detailed, not very nice review yesterday. Today, I realized that as horrific as my experience was, that I over shared. I logged into Yelp as well as Google to edit these reviews, and guess what?! Best Friends had both of my reviews flagged and taken down! I do understand though.... there is video proof of the animal abuse I witnessed here. Cannot be good for business.

This place killed my dog, last Sunday leaving a (Golden Common) Dog unleashed, unattended, he attacked my Yorkshire who was Turing 5 years next month. My Brownie was transferred to the hospital and got whole in the lungs, he got surgery and was transferred to Oradell Animal Hospital and he passed away on August 4th. This place are unprofessional, they called telling me that my dog attacked another dog and he just need stitches, Never mentioned he’s in “critical condition”. We noted that our dog isn’t friendly with other dogs, how come you just leave an unattended dog, unleashed, on a walk to attack other dogs. This dog is definitely not okay, they call him trained dog. He ended up killing my baby. they left dog attacking other dog. and my other dog, who saw the entire accident, is depressed since he lost his brother.

I have a blind dog I board whenever we go out of town. The staff is so warm, welcoming and comforting to him. I always feel that he is in good hands. The staff knows him and I am sure they take great care of him. Would completely recommend!

My dog and I have been using Best Friend Chestnut Ridge for years now. Desi, my dog, is greeted with love and affection when she walks in. She loves the day camp, is treated like a queen, and comes home exhausted. We also use the kennel when I need to go away; I trust them completely.

First time bringing our new dog. Much more run down from when we brought our old dog several years ago. We also saw our dog in the cage by herself during play time for no apparent reason on two occasions, but were told she was sweet and there were no issues. Play time is a bunch of dogs in a room with a human spending the whole time cleaning up and not interacting. Also, not sure of the purpose of the spray bottle - seemed to be used indiscriminately at the dogs. They often do not pick up the phone during the day. I believe they are understaffed. Not sure what to think at this point.

Ive been using them for over 9 years and they are the greatest. My baby gets excited when she sees me pack her red overnight bag because she knows shes going to see her friends. The staff is GREAT and they treat her like a queen. I call Sandra, the manager, Bleus other mommy. Love them all!

I board my lab here whenever we go on vacation. He seems to like it. Very excited when we get there, mopes around the house for a day or so after he comes home, like he misses his friends. He always comes back healthy and happy.Highly recommend!

NEVER BRING YOUR PETS HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So I brought my puppy here, because someone recommended how great this place was. So I was going on a cruise and my puppy was boarded here for 9 days. I thought it was adorable that I received a picture during my trip and emails letting me know my dog was doing well. However, my dog is not neutered which means he is suppose to be kept in a room by himself and not with the other dogs. When I returned from my trip I picked my puppy up and brought him home. As soon as we got home he fell asleep in my lap and started wheezing in his sleep. I immediately knew something was wrong so I called the vet and set up an appointment for the next day. Furthermore, after I took my dog to the vet and an $800 vet bill for x rays and an emergency visit. They determined my dog had bronchitis and had gotten it from there. So I asked how could this happen I was told he was in a room by himself. The vetinarian explained to me that its 1 of 2 things they didnt clean the room out before he came (and the previous pet had it) or they fed him using a dog bowl from a dog that had brochitis and didnt clean it. Either way, I contacted Best Friends Chestnut Ridge and they told me Our insurance doesnt cover that. So I brought my perfectly healthy dog to your place of business that has never been around other dogs, THAT has NEVER been to a kennel or boarded before. Being that this was his first you had me bring documents so you knew he was in perfect health before taking him from me. AND DUE TO THE UNSANITARY WAY YOU KEEP YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS HE GOT SICK BUT YOU DONT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IN ANYWAY! NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WILL I EVER BRING MY DOG BACK OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A VET BILL OR A SICK PET. BRONCHITIS IN ANIMALS IS HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS AND MY DOG HAD TO TAKE 2 DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS TWICE A DAY (FOR EACH MEDICATION). SO IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE HOME WITH YOUR PET FOR 2 WEEKS GIVING THEM MECIDINE AT 4 CONSECUTIVE TIMES A DAY WITH AN UNEXPECTED LARGE VET BILL FEEL FREE TO BRING YOUR PETS HERE FOR THEM TO GET SICK!!!

When my golden doodle, Jerry, started hanging with the wrong crowd, I knew it was time to send him to boarding school. and let me say, it was the best thing that has happened to my family. Jerry has become so much more independent, confident and responsible at his time at Best Friends, Thanks to his favorite employee, Jenna!! If it wasnt for Jenna, I think Jerry would still be on the streets smokin crack.

This is obviously a very professional outfit as well as a great marketing firm. They took great care of my dog who was taking an antibiotic and came home in great health, much healthier than when she arrived.They are also remarkably expensive.

You need to hire a groomer. Everything else is great.

I thought they did a very good job. Left my Mishka for 10 day. At first she was a little shy but she got over it and made lots of friends. It was great to be able to see her on the video. Maybe next we would be able to at least say hello and speak a little to them. ( Maybe it might be a bad idea). She slimmed down a little to the correct weight and shape. Bad me feeding her all the time. Thanks again.

Keep away from this horrible place! The place is dirty and smells awful. We boarded our dog here a couple of weeks ago and at pick up they told us that they had lost her medicine! We have no idea if they even gave it to her. The staff are rude and uncaring and they dont give feedback about your dog. I will never use this place again!

I was recommended by my vet to try this place to board my two young cats…like other reviewers mentioned, I left messages with my number and haven’t received any contact or call back…I went online to sign up for a tour and am still waiting to hear back. They say will get back in 48 hrs. Will start looking elsewhere….

We have used Best Friends West Windsor for close to 20 years and for two very different dogs. One dog, Kobey, was feisty and not into other people or pets, or other dog , Sammy , loves to play with pets and people. Best Friends was/is wonderful with both of our fur babies. We have boarded our dogs at their Pet Hotel, with total confidence. Its so obvious they love and care for our pups. We also have our pets groomed at Best Friends - picture perfect! We highly recommend Best Friends West Windsor

We have been happy with the care and services at Best Friends and have been using them for several years.

We took our 2-year-old cat for boarding in a Kitty Condo for 4 nights. Even though there were some misunderstandings with the staff at check-in and also at check-out, the owner was quick to reconcile all issues as soon as he heard about them.

0 stars if i could. Ghost was a healthy and vibrant dog and now he’s gone. Do not trust these people with your pets. They killed our best friend.

We love coming to Best Friends Pet Hotel in Windsor NJ. Our mini golden doodle loves coming to Barb to get his grooming done. My dogs absolutely love Best Friends. When they realize that is where we are driving they get so excited. Pull me in and give love to their Best Friends John and Jackie. The team at Best Friends is simply the best, especially John! Whenever I bring our pup Voski in she gets so excited to see him and the rest of the crew. They always take great care of her and have accommodated us when we show up at the last minute.They’ve reminded me that I need to have my vaccinations up to date and even with my shy submissive dog in group play there’s never been any issue with other pets there. Once at drop off, they notified me that there had been a kennel cough incident the previous week and let me decide if I wanted her to stay or not. (I did leave her there as we were going away and I had no Plan B so had to risk it, she was fine when we picked her up). Love a place that’s so transparent.Bottom line, you can’t go wrong with these guys.

We have been going to Best Friends for years now and love it. Our dog Miley is always greeted so warmly by staff and looks forward to going there. When we go away over night we pack up her bed & favorite toys so that she has the comforts of home. The staff is always kind & courteous.

My 2 German Shepherds came home happy and tired from a great week at Best Friends. John at Best Friends takes very good care of my pups every time they are there.

We dropped our 2 dogs off for a week, for boarding and grooming. John was super friendly and clearly loves being with animals, and gives you the impression that your dogs are well loved and cared for. Grooming was excellent, they were able to keep the fur without shaving despite significant time having past since the last grooming.

My dog loves coming here! He has so much fun with the other dogs. The staff is so professional and courteous especially Victoria and Jackie.

Bring my dog regularly to Jackie for a bath. She does an amazing job taking care of our big guy! Highly recommend

IF YOU DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG THEN BRING THEM HERE!!! Today was my first time using best friends pet hotel and will also be my last. They have live streams that allow you to check on your dog throughout the day. A good concept but an incompetent staff. The first employee neglected all the dogs in the room and didnt do anything. The second employee was impatient and ran around spraying all the dogs with water the second she seemed to get irritated. My dog is a 4 month old, 20lb puppy. Initially she was placed in the small dog room but then for whatever reason they decided to move her to the big dog room. When my puppy was hesitant to enter a room with several dogs 5 times her size, the employee grabbed her by the back of the neck and threw her in! If you are just looking for an open room for your dog to run around under terrible care and supervision then this is your place. If you love your dog as much as I do then I highly recommend looking for assistance elsewhere.

I called two years ago and left a message inquiring about cat boarding (“kitty city” as shown on the website) and nobody returned my call so I found another arrangement. Gave it another chance this year, left a message about 3 weeks ago…. again, no return call.

I had brought Bengi there before and had no problem. The evenng before he was completely groomed. He is a Yorkshire terrier , has longer hair and has a top knot to keep his hair out of his eyes. I make his food and bring it with him. It has organic chicken, peas, organic carrots, rice and chicken broth. When dogs eat organic carrots, which he loves. Their bowel movements look an orange color. Before leaving I made sure they had my cell phone number to reach me with any problem. He was dropped off at 8 AM on Thursday , July 28th.On Sunday at 2 PM, we picked him up. He was a mess, hair hanging down into his eyes, matted fur on his body, but worse of all, he smelled like feces. The entire lobby smelled like feces. Perhaps another dog had an accident, but the Oder was bad. Bengi does not play with other dogs because he is afraid of them.The next morning I called and spoke with the manager who immediately had a bad attitude. I asked her what happened. Her reply was nothing. She described my dog as prim and Proper not the type to roll in dog feces. However, she was extremely defensive and not the least bit apologetic. She did offer for me to drive the twenty miles so they could evaluate him, however, by then I had lost all confidence in them. When he had a bowel movement no orange. Clearly he never ate the carrots which is his favorite.If anyone else came there on that day and smelled that lobby maybe they can say something. I did not make it up. I was not looking for a discount. I only wanted my dog to be treated well, and this experience was not a good one. Very Disappointed! ,!!!
