Weston Boarding Kennel

Weston kennels has been phenomenal with my belgian malinois X Gunner. I’ve been to training with Chris this past summer and it was an amazing experience and Gunner had some major improvements in his obedience. Most recently I had to have Gunner boarded for a few nights. As a crazy dog mom, I’ve never left him in the care of anyone other than myself since he was a puppy. They took amazing care of him and made sure he was safe. I will always recommend Weston kennels for everything they offer. Thank you again Chris and Eileen!

We have been bringing our dogs to Chris for about 13 years. He takes such incredible care of them and keeps them so healthy. I appreciate that they don’t come back overweight as can often happen to boarded dogs. As a veterinarian, I am aware of all the boarding options in this area and I choose Chris every time. He keeps his kennels in excellent condition and his communication is top notch. He is also so skilled with working dogs and knows how to handle their exuberant nature! Both my little dogs and shepherds have always done well at Weston. I highly recommend this facility.

We have been using Weston Kennels for over 20 years and would HIGHLY recommend it. We always know that Chris is taking great care of our dogs and the dogs are excited to go and happy when we pick them up so we know they had a great stay. The best vet we ever had told us that it was the only place he would ever board his dogs and we took that as the highest recommendation. 20+ years ago our veterinarian told us he would not board his dog anywhere else. Weve been taking our Goldens to Weston Kennels ever since. Chris has provided excellent care to all our Goldens from Murphy to Bailey and Riley and now Winnie & Dutch. We just returned home from a 2 week vacation to two happy Goldens. Met with them for an evaluation on my dog “Layla”. They were great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did they explain what they thought they showed me examples right there with her of why they came to that conclusion.

I’ve been boarding my dogs at Weston Kennels for 9 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. My dogs love them! Chris and Eileen are true professionals who put a priority on safety and cleanliness. They understand the responsibility involved with caring for their clients loved ones, and take it seriously. I always leave feeling confident that my dogs are happy, safe, and well cared for. Wouldn’t trust anyone else!

These people should not be able to care for dogs. We brought our Newfoundland and Frenchie there for a week completely healthy. Picked them up and both smelled horrific.My Newfie was unable to walk, had sores all over him, feces matted in his fur and had lost almost 10 lbs. Brought both to emergency vet and they were severely dehydrated, skin infection from sitting in urine/feces all week.A complaint with the NYS police and dog warden was made. These people are disgusting and violated so many laws. My dogs were neglected and not taken care of. Please DO NOT bring your dogs there.

We always hate to have to board our 115 lb Giant Schnauzer but when we do we always choose Weston Boarding Kennel! We have such peace of mind knowing he is well cared for by amazing people. We are so grateful to have found this place. The facility is impeccable, the care is individual and communication and flexibility is unparalleled. Having such a big active dog we have taken our dog to many kennels and often worried about his care and attention. No more! We have found his forever kennel. Hopefully they stay open for as long as we have our beloved, treasured giant fur baby. Take your dog here!!

We have been using Weston Kennels for over 3 years. We are extremely happy with the care and attention our Eli receives every time he stays there. We love our dog very much, and our sadness about leaving him is comforted by knowing that he is safe in the mountains - being cared for by individuals that love dogs and that treat their operations more like a bed and breakfast than a business. We always tell Chris and Eileen, when we pick Eli up, that we are so thankful that our vet originally recommended them to us. Absolutely the best. The owners are professionals who actually care about their facilities and the well-being of the dogs who are under their care. We have been taking our dog their for 5+ years and wouldnt trust anyone else. Our dog is cared for by the owners, and not 16 year old kids looking for a summer job. Facilities are clean and top of the line in a peaceful country setting. Cant recommend Weston Kennels enough!

I had heard good things about this business. When I finished a therapy dog appearance at the Westerlo Library, I decided to stop by to introduce myself and my dogs on a Saturday afternoon. I was met by an angry, belligerent man who shouted at me for coming during non business hours. He essentially ran me off his property. I do not understand how anyone could give him a good review. if that is how he treats people, I certainly fear how he must treat dogs. For competent and friendly people who know how to be professional, head to Shawnas Dogs.

Absolutely pristine boarding kennel. They boarded my dog for 4 nights and he didn’t come home smelly or dusty like with many facilities. I had complete peace of mind with my dog staying here and will be a regular in the future.
