What a smart, effective, generous trainer Doreen is. It’s not just that she’s so clearly knowledgeable and experienced, but that she really took the time to understand the interplay between Boo, our pup, and us as his people (we needed training too). And she brings a wonderful balance of firmness and love to the training sessions. Boo is a rescue with a lot of southern hound in him. He’s VERY puppy but Doreen’s approach has worked wonders for all of us. We can’t recommend her highly enough.

Doreen has a true passion for animals. Her patient ways, focus and dedication to training results in wonderful pets. She first trained our beloved Frisco. He was just amazingly well behaved, understanding verbal commands and hand commands—and we could take him anywhere even though he was a large dog. We then asked her to train our rescue pups (brother and sister). They too are beloved members of our family and we always get compliments on how well they behave. We could not have done it without Doreen. They are all large dogs that needed training. It was the best decisions to hire a professional that knew the right techniques for each of the dogs. We will always be grateful. Doreen has a gift and we are the lucky ones that get to enjoy that gift because we get well behaved dogs that become very special members of our family.

Taking lessons with Doreen has been the best thing we could have done for ourselves and our pup. We and Bear have learned so much in only a few lessons it’s been tremendous. Doreen has been amazing to watch interact with Bear - he just understood what she wanted very quickly and we were able to follow up on those instructions. We found Doreen to be extremely kind, gentle, respectful but firm and above all completely in tune with Bear so that while working on one command if it turned into learning about another one we addressed that also. Doreen was very helpful with my yellow Labrador Josie. She gave clear instructions and showed me simple and direct ways to use them. Her methods are as much for the owner as for the dog! I would recommend her to anyone who needs training for their dog.

Doreens knowledge of dogs- their instincts, their behaviors, combined with (maybe as a result of)her overwhelming love of them makes her an invaluable resource if you want to have the best relationship with your k9 you can have! I thought I had a good understanding of my pup but Doreen provided so much great insight. It was as if I was viewing my pup under a 40 watt bulb, and she unscrewed it gave me a 100 watt!! A lot of ah-ha moments, even for an old school know it all like me!!Highly recommend!!

Doreen is by far the best Dog Trainer of all time! Doreen has infinite patience for her four-legged students as well as the two legged owner, in my case, needed more training than the dog!Beyoncé’s is a sweet miniature poodle puppy who was in need of guidance and consistency which Doreen gave us and she has grown up to be the sweetest pup! We also have an elderly mixed breed who also learned quite a bit from Doreen! She has infinite patience with Beyoncé, as well as Charlie her elderly counterpart. They learned how to sit, stay, etc all the basics and we also received tips and recommendations concerning house training and also basic day-to-day behavior concerning the dogs getting along. It had been a long time since we’d dealt with a young puppy. When we brought Maia home, we fast felt overwhelmed. Doreen came in and, with simple but effective solutions, took the stress away. Maia is 11 months now, and not without her challenges, but getting things right in those early days made all the difference, to set us up for success. We did a dog training cram course via YouTube university in the two weeks before our new puppy Archie arrived. We were prepared... on paper.As per the 3-3-3 rule, after three weeks with us our docile rescue pup suddenly turned into a velociraptor/land shark. He was still sweet & we were glad he wasnt scared any more, but also overwhelmed & unsure whether any of our chairs & clothes would survive his adolescence.We were smart. We called Doreen.At our introductory training session, we learned even more than Archie did. Doreen provided us with a framework upon which we can build a deeper relationship with our dog while helping him learn to listen & build impulse control. We all still have a lot to learn, but now we know how to go about it & whenever we get stuck again, we know who to call.Thank you, Doreen! You changed everything for the better.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am with the training Doreen gave to both me and my 3 1/2 year old chocolate Lab Jeter. I literally was unable to walk this 92 pound pup. Since working with Angel Paw we enjoy our walks so much and Jeter enjoys socializing with other dogs. Calling Doreen a dog whisper is and understatement. My dog was very hyper, but quick to learn. Doreen is a great trainer. She even taught me how to get my dog to stop barking. If you knew my dog you’d know how hard that was. Highly recommended.

Doreen was great and helped us so much when we first adopted our rescue dog, she trained us as much as the pup. She gave us confidence and showed us that our beloved Molly could easily learn when you knew what you were doing. All the basics - sit, stay, down - plus his to discrete behaviors like jumping on visitors. Highly recommend.

We first started training with Doreen when Ivy was 5 months old. Doreen is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and fun to work with. Every dog is different Im sure, but she knew exactly what Ivy needed to succeed. She also makes herself available for any questions you may have between sessions. Just 2 months later, Ivy knows all basic commands and weve developed a great bond. Doreen is worth every penny!

Doreen is a fantastic trainer. After just one session with our dog Athena, I could see a huge difference in Athena’s behavior. She went from jumping all over and barking frantically at houseguests to wagging happily when people arrive at the door, but with very little jumping and no barking. We’ve now had several sessions with Doreen, and Athena is so much calmer and more obedient. Doreen is patient, thoughtful, and amazing with dogs. Athena loves her! Highly recommend.

We took a few classes with Doreen just after adopting Elsa. Doreen has an immediate connection with dogs, Elsa was attracted to her and picked up easily everything that Doreen trained her to do. And most importantly, she taught me and my husband how to train Elsa going forward, without any BS, just to the point. Working with Doreen was definitely the best decision we could make after adopting Elsa, and I would recommend Angel Paws without reservation to anyone bringing a dog to their lives for the first time.

Dorene’s technique for helping us train our dog was straightforward and very helpful. We had already taught him some commands and she helped us to refine those while also adding some more complex ones. Overall, her training helped us to understand how to more clearly communicate with our dog and how to implement more training as we go along on our own. I appreciate her availability via text or call should we have more questions going forward.

I had two training sessions with Doreen (and I would have had more if I lived in the area). We’d had our dog for 6 weeks and after running away during our first few days visiting near Woodstock, we knew we needed help. Our dog is a 3yr old rescue with a lot of anxiety and no training experience. Doreen was immediately hands on. She was great at reading our dog’s cues and knew when to change course. She also gave very helpful advice on what we could do better, like our tone of voice and body language. By the end of our first hour, our dog knew sit and down - which was so rewarding. Doreen is a fantastic trainer and I would highly recommend her.

We used Doreen to train our labradoodle puppy. She was outstanding! She had a great, nurturing approach to training and was very effective! We still use her techniques on a regular basis!

The results Ive seen from Doreen Rossis Dog training program are amazing. Its so annoying being around an un trained dog. Not dogs train by Angel Paw, amazing. Even on Zoom the training just works and I am grateful.

Doreen was wonderful with our new puppy. In 4 training sessions she taught the puppy (and us) a bunch of commands that were now able to use every day. The dogs overall behavior also improved dramatically—shes gotten much calmer and more obedient now that we know how to communicate with her. We highly recommend Doreen.

Saying that the basic things that a dog needs to learn she can do amazingly. The only thing that might be hard is getting use to down for your dog laying down. And off when you want your dog to get off you. If want to learn things like sit and sit stay shes is perfect for you. But if you are looking for things like paw , play dead or roll over ect then she isnt for you. But the things she does do she does amazingly. She will even recommend other ways of doing it if one way doesnt work for you.The things she did for me was recommend better toys for my dog, recommending bigger bones than the one she was playing with at one point when she came over. Along with different types of collars to get me my dog is a doberman, great dane, ridgeback mix.

Doreen did a great job training my two dogs.

I would not recommend. I could do better myself and did.
