I just want to sing from the rooftops how over the moon I am!!We adopted both Finley(Morris) and Fiona(Lina) from lucky puppy… not only are they the best rescue to support because the pups are so cared for.I have to tell my husband, often that two is enough because we actually really do want more puppies, so many more from Lucky puppy, they are the best

We adopted our dog Eli from Lucky Puppy Rescue in December 2023 and could not have had a better experience. They were responsive and helpful during the application period, answering all of our questions as first time adopters. We went into the process open minded and explained to them our lifestyle and what we were looking for in a dog. They matched us with Eli and named a few other dogs that might be a good fit. We got to go in person twice to meet Eli and some other dogs before making the adoption official. It was so evident to us throughout the entire process that the staff cared deeply about where each and every one of their dogs finds a home. We feel so grateful that they brought Eli into our lives and will definitely be returning to LPR when we are ready to adopt dog #2!

So thankful for the work everyone does to find a great match for these pups. We had 2 dogs that seemed like a good match for our family and were able to meet both. It was clear pretty quickly which one we connected with and took home that day. Lucky puppy members gave us great info on what to look for if our pup shows signs of fear, let us know we could call with any questions. We are at one year with our girl and couldn’t be happier. She is truly a perfect fit for our family.

We had the greatest experience adopting our puppy, Ranger, from Lucky Puppy. They made the whole process a positive experience for our family making sure we had all the information we needed and to answer any questions we had. We had plenty of bonding time as well to make sure he was a good fit with our family.

Best thing I ever did was adopt my pup from Lucky Puppy. I met her at an adoption event and was guided through the adoption process so smoothly and quickly. She is my first rescue and will not be the last! We are head over heels in love with her and LP helped make her transition to our home so smooth.

We had a great experience adopting our sweet pup from LPR in December 2023. She came up from Florida and we picked her up as soon as we could. The staff cares about these dogs and wants them to go to the right home. We called with questions post adoption and they were helpful. If we decide to expand our family we would adopt from LPR without a doubt.

Adopting our Luck Puppy was a wonderful experience. The staff made applying and approval very easy. Following their posts for available dogs on their website and Facebook was fun. Setting up a meeting with our chosen dog’s foster family was easy and they were so kind. Our Lucky Puppy is the best dog and we are so happy to have her in our lives! ❤️

Last year, we found our dream pup at Lucky Puppy and had a quick, easy experience of adopting her one grey day in November. Everyone we communicated with was knowledgeable and responsive. The whole process was a breeze and left us feeling confident that we were adopting a good dog — prepared with proper vaccinations, examinations, screenings, and even a little training. I would definitely contact LP first if we decide to adopt again!

Great place to adopt a rescue from. Everyone was very helpful. Terri made the adoption process very easy. Decided to put an application in to Lucky Puppy to be ready for Curtis Lumber Petapalooza 2023. Very easy application with photos of our home and yard. We received a call later that day! Hubby and I sat on speaker phone and listened to criteria, we asked questions, talked about Ollie (our current dog). She gave us time to look at all the dogs available, narrowed it to 3 and then choose 1 out of the 3 to be held for us to meet. Made the trip to Argyle with Ollie to meet Chance. We were brought to a large pen with lots of fun obstacles and this lil handsome peanut came bounding out, with a floppy ear. Love at first sight. I chatted with the adoption person and watch my hubby run around with this pup and knew he was gonna be ours. Next step was an intro to Ollie and he was a bit nervous but he was fine, Chance absolutely loved Ollie lol. Finished paper work and we were heading home. Chance is now 65lbs, handsome and was renamed Bear. He has completed our family and Im grateful to Lucky Puppy for trusting us with this pup

We cannot say enough great things about this place. From the moment I reached out about a puppy we wanted to meet, the staff was outgoing, helpful and so friendly. Our meet and greet amazed us with how well this organization is run. All the pups were clean, looked well fed, and seemed so happy. Great Organization! We adopted our Rosie last fall. We made an appointment to see a youger dog but fell in love when we saw Rosie. They were very patient and gave us the time to make the right decision for us.

I adopted my Lucky Puppy 2 years ago, and she has been the most perfect family dog I could’ve asked for. The adoption process was very simple, the application was thorough yet straight forward, the Lucky Puppy was very transparent and honest, extremely helpful and willing to answer any and all questions, and responds very quickly! I began fostering a year ago because I fell in love with the rescue and their dedication to all their rescue pups inspired me to do anything I could to help. The rescue provides me with all I need for fostering the dogs, costing me nothing, while I get to make a difference without even needing to leave my home by sharing it with foster pups. I could never recommend this rescue enough, they truly take the most amazing care of all the dogs they possibly can, and are so kind, compassionate, understanding of specific needs, and put their whole hearts into every adoption. I’ve now fostered 19 pups and can’t see myself ever wanting to stop being a part of such a beautiful nonprofit organization

A down to earth place thats run by a group of dedicated, honest, hard-working people. They go above and beyond to ensure their dogs get the proper care they need, regardless of resource availability. They work around the clock making sure theyve done all they can for each and every one of their dogs, as youll see when you meet a Lucky Puppy. Lucky Puppys are the BEST.As a volunteer, they welcomed me right in and are always so thankful for the help. Theyre so appreciative of even the few hours Im able to get in, even if its a quick snuggle or just a walk around the property. But I must warn you, it didnt take long until I snagged a Lucky Puppy of my own, and we couldnt be happier!

This is the most well cared for animal rescue I’ve encountered. It is apparent how much care and effort goes into this organization. The facilities are clean and well kept, with expansive play spaces for the animals, and incredible staff and volunteers looking after everyone going. I know being a rescue pup can’t be easy, but being saved (literally) by this organization is one of the best things that can happen to a dog. We adopted our lucky pup who was happy, well fed and cared for, and we received her extensive medical history. This organization and the folks who run it are incredible and a blessing to those who encounter them.

We visited other shelters, but after visiting Lucky Puppy, we knew that we ultimately wanted to adopt from them. Every volunteer and staffer had knowledge of each dog and if they didn’t know, they knew who to ask for information. Each dog we met was incredibly sweet and had some basic training.The staff was more than willing to work with us to find the right dog without any pressure. We did end up finding a dog through them and she has been a great addition to our family!

Adopted my sweet girl from this organization a few months ago (March 2024). The application and interview process was easy. My Mom came with me to attend the open house to re-meet my future dog I had met 3 week previously at a fund raising event (puppy yoga). Everyone there was nice and knowledgeable about the dogs up for adoption I was considering. And the adoption process at their center in NY was seamless. Kiara now known as Luna was adopted that same day. I highly recommend this rescue!

Lucky Puppy is the best. I adopted my dog Cooper from them in 2020. They work tirelessly to transport rescues from their base in Florida, take care of them, and find them loving homes. They deserve all the support and recognition they can get!

They are friendly and work so hard to find fur-ever homes for these pups. We love our Champ and he is an amazing fit for our home. I highly recommend if you are looking for a pup definitely check this place out and bring home a beautiful pup home who deserves all the love in the world.

Everyone is so pleasant to work with. They are very responsive to emails and phone calls. Other rescues never got back to me after applying. I was looking for a small dog, due to my age and physical ability. They continued to work with me until the right one came along. Great organization.

The only bad thing about this place is i cannot afford to adopt all those beautiful and awesome dogs! Great selection of pups and older dogs too. I really wanted to bring them all home! Super friendly staff as well

Brought my girl to find a new sibling and came home with a six month old goofball (Declan). It’s been about a year and a half and the two have been inseparable since. The staff were really nice, informative, and helpful. I have nothing but good things to say about the Argyle location.

Got our dog here last year. They do their due diligence with checking people and charge reasonable prices. What they all do is a lot of hard work! I would recommend them highly, we love our fur baby!

The kindness and dedication of all the staff and fosters was above and beyond !! The outside setup of extra kennels and fenced back yard in a home setting made it a relaxing and inviting looking experience !! I went with my son and daughter in law who ended up adopting the most amazing loving almost 5 month puppy!! The application process went with ease and grace!!

We adopted our rescue in 2023. Everyone that works for Lucky Puppy go out of their way to make the adoption process go smoothly. Coming from Florida, the dogs have been well socialized, some have even been in foster homes. Our rescue adjusted very well to her new home. In addition, Lucky Puppy has some of the most fun events so please support them. Once you adopt from them you become part of their extended family. They are such a great organization doing difficult work. Lucky Puppy ensures that each dog has seen a veterinarian for proper care before being rehomed.

Adopted a beagle mix five months ago. A wonderful experience; many of the staff are dedicated and caring volunteers.

We got our dog, Rio, from this rescue. They took such good care of him and his litter, and were careful in selecting who adopted each dog to be sure they went into the best homes. And Rio has been the absolute best dog, we love him so much!

I went there for a Doxie but she was too nervous around my dog so she got another dog chihuahua and miniature pinscher mix though she very timid she was able to be. I decided to call her Lola . I got her medical she up to date with her shots. Plus the people there who are all volunteers was so friendly and nice.

Absolutely amazing! We applied to adopt our dream dog and they immediately responded and helped us set up a meet & greet. When we got there everyone was so helpful, open and honest about all our dogs needs. They encouraged us to take our time getting to know him even though it was past typical hours of operation. A beautiful campus with trees and lawns and very large pen areas for all the puppies and dogs to congregate and socialize, extremely clean and well-managed and a fantastic group of volunteers and staff, very impressed!

The Lucky Puppy Rescue is the best! They were helpful and friendly every step of the way. You can tell they really care about the dogs and make sure they go to the right families. We adopted our puppy, Cora, through them 3 months ago and she has brought us so much joy! We will absolutely be going through their rescue when we are ready to add another pet to our family.

We rescued 2 dogs from the NY Argyle location- one during Covid in March 2020 and another just before New Years’ 2022. Both dogs were well cared for, happy, living in a clean, friendly environment. I appreciate that this rescue has you apply and receive approval before meeting the dogs. The vetting process is easy and shows how much they want to place dogs for longevity success into a healthy home environment. They were more than willing to have us bring our older dog for the meet and greets and were honest in their assessment and suggestions on pack interaction. The people who work and volunteer @ lucky puppy are super friendly, caring individuals who do a great job caring for the dogs :) I would absolutely adopt another dog from here in the future! :)

I was looking to adopt a dog for my daughters and searched high and low until I came across this rescue. The adoption process with Donna was so easy and she was so pleasant to go through the process with! I took my daughters to the rescue in Arygle, NY the day before Thanksgiving and we met David. He was super nice and very friendly! I could not believe how clean and organized their facilities were! I am very happy that we adopted through this rescue! They are phenomenal and I will rescue from here again in the future ❤❤❤

Friendly staff, doing a great thing for dogs and dog lovers!

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. After being INCREDIBLY sketchy throughout the whole process, we found out the puppy we wanted had a chronic cough for the last month. When pushed to get him seen by a vet to make sure he was getting proper care, they brought him and he was put on antibiotics. I called the vet to ensure we weren’t adopting a sick puppy and because I did that, Allison told me they were uneasy with the adoption going forward. So I guess don’t ask questions or voice concerns about the dogs? I am sitting in horror thinking about the whole situation. I hope the puppy finds the most amazing home that’ll take care of him, cough and all.

We adopted Kasey from them last week. They are caring and truly want the best for their dogs. I am so glad that we found them! Kasey does have some parasites but when I called they were truly appreciative that I called to let them know. Application process was seamless and they were making sure that we were giving Kasey a great new home. Great work and keep up the good work!

I rescued my dog Nora from The Lucky Puppy Rescue over a year ago so when they opened up the shelter in Argyle, NY right near my house I knew that I had to give back to this beautiful, kind and giving rescue ! I went to visit the new rescue facility to drop off donations and the facility is incredibly clean and the kennels are spacious , the dogs are well behaved and loved and all the volunteers/ employees were incredible !

Ive been looking for 3yrs for that special fur-baby and I finally found him through Lucky Puppy! The people are super helpful and care alot about the animals in their care. The foster-mom that had the doggie I got is an AMAZING person whole cares so so so much and I feel super privileged to have gotten my doggie Leroy from them.

Just adopted a puppy from there. Great people to work with. The foster family did a great job with her training. Shes such a good dog. Planning on adopting another dog from there in the future.

Some people may be told a dog is not right for them it is nothing personal just trying to make sure the dog finds a forever home.

We went through Lucky Puppy for our 1st puppy, and absolutely loved them every step of the way. They were very thorough in there adoption steps which I liked. They were very friendly and responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. My puppy was a rescue as they all are which was a checkmark. She came with her rabies shot and certificates. The price was awesome and small price to pay for years of love and joy. Everybody in the update New York area should give them a try when searching for a new best bud.
