Nate The Dog Man

We just had a consultation with Nate yesterday for a puppy I recently adopted. I have an older dog that i adopted in 2021 and also had a trainer who we dont feel helped us with our older dog. He was too aggressive and made us uncomfortable. My daughter was in tears and asked that we didnt work with him anymore.I dont know how Nate did it but Iggy was in love with him by the end. He had her behaving as if she had been training for months. I hope that we can continue to work on her behavior.

Nate is amazing with dogs and humans alike!! He gave my dogs and my family the confidence to safely navigate a new baby in a family with well-established large dogs! We have worked through many hurdles with Nate’s help and this one has been no different than the others; he is exceptional and so much fun to train with!

We love Nate!! His website says he speaks dog and HOLY COW, is that true! We adopted our German Shepherd Xena in July 2023 from a GSD rescue. She is truly wonderful with us, obedient, sweet, and affectionate. However - she would not let anybody onto our property or into our house. We contacted Nate and described our unique situation and he set up a time to come to our come to our house for an evaluation to meet us and Xena. He was totally unphased by Xenas crazy behavior. Within 2 minutes, he was holding her leash and she was sitting quietly at his feet. HE ACTUALLY SPEAKS DOG!! We set up a weekly -in-home training schedule. With his amazing, nerd-like knowledge of dog psychology, he was able to train us and Xena on how to manage guests coming into our home. I can happily say that after only 5 sessions, we can now have dinner with guests while Xena lays quietly in the background. This is a remarkable transformation from where we first started. We will continue to train with Nate and would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing help with their pooch!!

Nate is awesome with my Magnolia Mae! Mags and I have been seeing Nate for the past 12 weeks and I look forward to every session. It’s great how he also trains me when he is training her. Nate has a very kind and gentle nature, especially around dogs. Nate is always ready to “work” when we train with him. He is also very responsive to my texts and phone calls. Give Nate a call. Nate was awesome with our Kaido! Our dog needed lots of structure and we didn’t know where to even start. When we reached out to Nate he was more than happy to accommodate us and get us a lesson very quickly. During our lessons, he listened to our main concerns and not only did he train our dog but trained us on how to effectively implement these tools. He is extremely knowledgeable it’s amazing. It has been immensely helpful especially since our dog is very hyper and stubborn, his behavior has improved so much! We had a great experience working with Nate and our two Pitbull mixes. We did a board and train and the dogs came back with a solid understanding of the basics. Nate includes follow up sessions so we reinforce what was taught. As owners, it’s important to make lifestyle changes and reinforce the foundation for training to really be generalized! So many dog parents forget that.

Nate is a thoughtful, experienced and capable trainer. I brought my dog to him who had been abused and experiencing many difficulties including attacking our other dog. Nate offered a controlled environment for Bishop to gain self control and offered appropriate and sensitive training regimen. I particularly love that he has so many tools and dogs at his disposal so that we have many options for distractions and ways to grow. I highly recommend Nate.

After many trials and tribulations of dog trainers around the area, I came across Nate the dog man.Nate has been an absolute godsend for my 11 month old labrador, Rusty. Rusty has had 3 different trainers before Nate and they werent able to connect with him the way Nate did. Rusty is a rambunctious pup, but is no match for Nate. Nate is professional, compassionate, knowledgeable, kind and extremely good at what he does. Rusty enjoys seeing Nate and has made leaps and bounds in his training in the small amount of time he has been seeing Nate. Nate was awesome with our dog Charlie. Charlie is now more calm and controlled on his walks and when guest come to our house. Nate is very patient and spent a lot of time teaching me the tools needed to continue on the right path with Charlie. He really understands dogs and I highly recommend him!

Nate’s been working with me and my dog for a year and a half and I’ve seen huge progress. Nate is always respectful and kind. Nate truly cares about dogs and knows dogs, but also helps the handler to build their skills and confidence. Highly recommend Nate got his decoy work, obedience and behavioral training.

Nate is working wonders with our boy Kirby, and of course he’s training us too. The training sessions are fun for all of us and Kirby’s progress has been phenomenal. Nate does indeed speak dog!

Zero communication from this guy. Had the consultation, and he was great! After that, not so much. Made an appointment with him for another lesson, and lesson was canceled with no notification from him. Had I not reached out to him, would never have known my lesson was canceled. Still waiting for a refund for the lesson that never happened almost a month later after asking 4 times for my refund. Poor business practices, zero communication. Might be great with a dog but not with people. Avoid.
