Great place to bring your babies for play time . Very nice people. The place is well maintained. Doggies!!!

Fantastic spot for dogs and their owners! The park is well-maintained with ample space for dogs to run and play freely. The fenced area is secure, and there are separate sections for small and large dogs, which is a great feature.

Nice quiet dog park. Every timeI go there isnt a mob of dogs there. Great for my doggo to stretch his legs. There is also water there so you dont need to drag along your own.

Its a nice park with a good atmosphere and nice people. the fencing in the dog park area has a fairly large gap at the bottom which my dog could easily squeeze under which is why Im not comfortable letting him off leash there.edit: looks like some dirt was added to close the fence gap. thanks!

I personally dont have any pets, but Im surprised that this Dog Park is always so empty?! Looks like a very nice place for dogs to run around and enjoy themselves, not to mention for the owners as well.

Ive been here twice at around 5pm and not a single dog in sight. The fenced-in area is small in my opinion. There is no water unless you go over to the ball area where there is a hose. What I do like is if you have a dog who is good off-leash then there are acres of open fields and wooded areas for your bff to run in. Take the road to the left of the dog fence (off limits to cars) and walk a mile or so to the old Grumman air field. No fast roads or highways anywhere. The things that we encountered were joggers, bicyclists and a few deer. I never saw my 11 yr old Golden Retriever run so much or so fast and think of all the exercise that you will get. There is no doubt that he enjoyed himself immensely. Make sure to protect him against ticks. Theyre out there. Theyre everywhere! Enjoy!

If they had installed a water spigot and perhaps made the fenced area larger it would be a 5. Otherwise, its a wonderful place to bring your dog. early in the morning there are some rude people who have their rather large dogs off leash and one needs to be on guard as you walk to the fenced area

The dog must have a town of Riverhead tag. In this huge area of the Calverton park, the dog park is about the size of a living room. Maybe twice that but no more. Why couldnt a larger area be made available to dogs from all of Suffolk County? Very disappointed!

Great spot to run, walk or bike

Great crowd of owners with their dogs mon thru fri about 10 am every day. Incidents very rare and everyone jumps in immediately to stop any harm if it happens. About 10 to 15 dogs every day. Have 2 fenced areas larger dogs and small dogs or used as a time out area for a misbehaving pet

Typical dog park so great... Dusty as heck but overall quite nice. They even provide poop bags

Couple of dog play area, sadly pretty dirty and run down (even sadder, over 3m has been spent on other projects next to park, which is within park) and this is still like this.. Its nice thou, quite and relaxing!

My dog absolutely loves this park. The only dog park we will go to! All the other pets and owners are friendly. I have not met aggressive dog yet!

Nice path and dog park. Highly recommend. Excellent paths & land to walk. Paved walkway used for pedestrians, bikers & joggers.

I went to a funeral in Calvarton. Google how do you get a dog park out of that. Also I hv used the option to tell Google on several occasions that I did not go to a dog park in Calvarton, NY. I hope Google is monitoring this post.

Took my dog today, the grass really needs to be cut! The ticks are all over the place! Someone needs to take better care of this dog park

Decent dog park. Picnic tables throughout. No restrooms but porta-potties are available. Mostly dirt; water spigot and poop bags available.

Pretty decent space for the dogs to run around, just gets very muddy! Poop bags on site if you forget yours at home.

This was a great space to visit. You can sit and have lunch or throw a great birthday party. Very clean and safe place to bring family & friends

Whats not to love about being in a nice area and a free dog park!I saw some negative comments about the park and guess some people are just miserable complainers.

Fenced in dog area open. All walking trails closed till February because of hunters in the woods.

The trail is amazing. Hopefully the trail remains OR it isnt part of the recent sale of the land there at Grumman.

Great park, fenced in area, also good walking paths around it.

Big and wide, needed my bike. Has miles of places to ride, especially near a small airport.

Clean park. Several picnic areas, baseball fields, small dog and big dog run.

Well after I left and came home I found 11 ticks on my dog and he was not a happy camper very upset I want to in tears

Broad park expanse, perfect for running and playing with your dog!
