I couldnt be more impressed with the service we received from Hudson Valley Dog Fence. Jason installed our new dog fence quickly and efficiently, but what really set the service apart was the amount of time he took in explaining all aspects of the new system. He was able to help us customize the system so it fit perfectly with our property and our dogs. I had actually bought a system to install myself but just couldnt find the time to do it. Im glad I choose to go with Jason - it seems like the quality of his equipment is a step up from what I purchased on Amazon. The wire alone was a much heavier grade and I think will last much longer than the brand we purchased.Not only did he explain every detail of how the system worked, but he also patiently walked us through how to use it, maintain it and helped us with an initial training with the dogs.I can’t recommend him highly enough for anyone looking for a high-quality, professional dog fence installation.

Jason is incredible. After installing the fence, he came back again to make sure we were happy and that we knew how everything worked. He showed us how to train our dogs and called to check in for a few weeks to make sure there were no issues or concerns. His work is high quality, priced fairly, and his customer service is top notch. I cannot recommend him enough.I never thought it would work for our dogs but its amazing how well they behave and how aware of their boundaries they are now. When they get too close to the perimeter, they get a beep and run back before any little shock even happens. We have peace of mind knowing they wont try to escape! :) Thank you, Jason!

My husband and I highly recommend Jason at the Dog Fence of the Hudson Valley. He installed our dog fence a few years ago and it was a great experience start to finish. Jason was incredibly responsive today when we called about a collar not working years later. Jason came out the same day and fixed it. Besides being incredibly professional and responsive when we first worked with him it’s rare that he is just as helpful years later.

I had an underground fence installed in the Fall--my dog took to it right away and has loved having so much yard to run. After a bad storm, the fence had a bit of a glitch, Jason responded very quickly (on a holiday weekend) and made an appointment for first thing Monday morning. I could not recommend him more--he is so helpful and provides great service. Im new to HV and he has had great recommendations for other work I need done also. Highly recommend!! 10/10

Jason has been fantastic to work with! From the first step when he came by to give us a quote last summer, scheduling the installation was a breeze and we didn’t have to wait at all. The day of the installation was quick and easy - he very quickly got the fence installed and trained the dogs not to approach the blue flags. Then in the following week or two he called at least twice that I remember to see how we (and our puppies) were making out. (Which was great -by the way!) All for a very reasonable price. Then, last week, when we had some yard work done and a tractor inadvertently broke the wire, we called him and he was out within a couple of days to repair the wire. The dogs are so used to the fence that they didn’t even notice that it had no power for those few days. If you’re thinking about a dog fence, I’d highly recommend Jason and Dog Fence of the Hudson Valley! It’s been a life changing experience!

Jason is highly professional and great at what he does! He installed our dog fence, trained our dogs to understand the fence and followed up with us to make sure everything was going well! He installed our electric dog fence a few years ago and was thorough, prompt and very helpful in training our dog and us! He followed up and checked in to make sure all was working well. Recently we found ourselves needing a replacement battery and didn’t have time to order one. We were having a lawn party and didn’t want to risk having our dog escape so we called Jason in a panic. He came through and met us the next day and gave us the battery we needed, at no charge!! That’s amazing customer service. (I recommend the newer rechargeable battery option). Thanks Jason!

Jason and his son were fantastic! They were prompt, friendly and did amazing work. They installed the electric fence so quickly over a ton of rough terrain and were so sweet training our dog. I was skeptical an electric fence would work, but our dog responded so well to their training and it was such a seamless process. Jason made things easy and we’re so lucky! We purchased a Critterfence and quickly realized we need a professional to install it. We called Jason and he came over within a couple days to give us an estimate. His quote was so good we asked him about installing an invisible fence system in addition to the Critterfence. He said Sure, and we agreed to have them done the following Thursday.Jason was prompt and his work is excellent. He doesnt quit or cut corners.Our backyard has some very tough digging which made the installation longer than normal but Jason didnt complain and, when he finished, he took the time to train our puppy with the invisible fence. Our pup can now enjoy our whole backyard to play and we can safely train her off-leash. We are thrilled with the setup we now have at our home!If you need an invisible and/or a physical fence we highly recommend Jason.

I checked multiple different companies before choosing Jason and Hudson Valley dog fence. I chose this company because Jason was professional over the phone, his dog collars are rechargeable (no expensive batteries) and the quality wire Jason uses compared to other companies. Dont be fooled by gimmicks reported by bigger companies and dont let them harass you into choosing them. My dog failed invisible dog fence and with Jasons equipment and training he hasnt gotten out once. Jason has called me twice within 1 week to check in and make sure the fence is working out for us... you wouldnt get attention like that from a large chain. Work was done quickly, he arrived on time and took the time to educate us on training and equipment. Thanks Jason!

Highly recommended! Jason is very friendly and takes time to explain the fence operation fully,, and hes super-responsive when problems arise. In the several years since installation, weve done some landscaping that resulted in breaks in the line a couple of times, and Jason came to make repairs promptly and without additional charges. So glad we chose his company to contract with!

Jason is very professional and friendly. We have had our fence a little over 2 months, and it has changed our lives! After installation, Jason thoroughly trained US on how to train our 80lb dog Otis. We followed all of his steps which are so easy and straight forward that even our young kids got involved. Took 2 weeks.. We have a 2 year old pit bull who used to love to roam our woods, get stung by wasp nests, find dead animals, get swamp muddy, and go visit neighbors. Always came home, but took his time. No longer! During the training period, Jason follows up to make sure everything is going well. While we didnt need him to return to adjust collar , it was good to check in, ask questions and adjust training as needed.We had 2 acres fenced in. The freedom and piece of mind we were given has been a family game changer. Otis is happier too having clear boundaries. I was worried the fence would change my dog, make him scared, it has changed him for the better. Hes much calmer and relaxed. I have seen him tear after a squirrel and make a complete stop and turn around at the boundary. I had my husband test collar, which worked for Otis on a level 5 out of 10 setting, and fence he confirmed it is shocking but not painful. Yes Id hurt my husband before my dog! Go with this company. Best value, best customer service. Very happy!!Update: 2 years in fence and collar working well. We had an issue when the neighbors dug and broke the fence. Though Jason was more than willing to come out and fix it, my husband is a diy so Jason guided him easily through the repair and followed up to ensure Otis stays safe on our property.

Jason from Dog Fence of the Hudson Valley saved our pets life! Jason not only installed the invisible fence thoughtfully and professionally, he explained everything. He helped us train our pet and demonstrated how we should best use the fence. He checked in by calling us after to help keep us to our training schedule. When our fence blew over in the recent windstorm, it pulled up a piece of our fence. Jason fixed it quickly with no problem. We have over a year of experience with Jason and couldnt be more pleased.

Jason is amazing! He told us what he would do, showed up and did it expertly! He also helped us train our dog and was always there to answer questions etc. He is extremely responsive both by email and phone. Most recently 1 year and 10 months after the initial installation, one of our units went bad. I emailed him and he let us know it was within the two-year warranty. He then immediately arranged for us to receive a replacement unit and then when we couldn’t get the collar on properly he came right out and helped with that as well. I never write reviews but he warrants an extremely positive one! I recommend him wholeheartedly!
