Moriches Dog Grooming

I love this place & the woman are amazing! Every time I walk in my dog runs right to them tail wagging & ready to go. I’m so happy I found them & wouldn’t trust anyone else as much as I do them.

I no longer have any dogs, but when I did I used Moriches Dog Grooming, and that was starting over 30 years ago. I never had any problems and found them to be very accommodating to my dogs special needs. The spate of negative reviews is due to the fact that someone decided to covertly film a dog being groomed and then blast it all over Facebook, without confronting the groomer about what the poster felt was cruel treatment (it wasnt). I hate to think how this long standing local business will be affected by this negative publicity, from someone who didnt think this through and address their concerns directly with the person involved. I had only good experiences with this business.

I have been bringing my teacup Yorkie here for 7 years now. They are lovely people and my little guy goes over to their care with no issues, happy boy and happy mom. The way people see a clip on social media and spin things without any personal knowledge is just shameful.

A friend was picking her dog up from grooming this week and witnessed a groomer handling another dog in the most disgusting way. Forcefully grabbing the dogs neck and visually getting frustrated with the dog, grabbing its face and sternly saying STOP. this is IN FRONT of customers—imagine what happens behind closed doors? It’s all on video. Google reviews wouldn’t let me post it. I would never bring my dog here and you shouldn’t either. Be careful who you trust with your dog.

This is the video that is going viral and people are mentioning here in these reviews. This is just the beginning. I forsee a lot of bad reviews coming within the next 72 hours. You can see in the screen capture that she was grabbing the dog by its neck aggressively. Notice the dogs paws are not touching the table. She is holding the dog in the air by its neck. This happened multiple times. The dog was not acting aggressive or overly anxious. It was a bit nervous which is expected but she actually made the dog more scared with her abuse than trying to calm the dog down. Very unprofessional and irresponsible. Downright cruel. She doesnt deserve to be around these beautiful animals. I wouldnt leave my dog here alone. 😢

Professional and courteous staff go beyond in taking care of my pets over the last three decades. I like that nail trimming is walk-in without appointments and were in and out in 10 minutes typically. Great selection of treats and food products.

NOBODY should ever take their dog to this grooming place. Just saw videos on Facebook of mistreatment on a dog. Disgusting and disturbing to see an innocent dog getting abused by a poor excuse of a human being!!

Should get one star watches a video circulating on Facebook of a lady dog grooming grabbing a dog by the neck and being very rough and abusive while grooming poor pup was so scared! Shame on u and I hope you go out of business

Groomers grab dogs by their necks. Don’t leave your animal unsupervised here or with this lady in photo!!! This is abusive and very unprofessional.

Beware!! There is videos on facebook of the groomer abusing a small scared dog. Grabbing it by the neck as she grooms it. I would NEVER bring any animal to this establishment!!!

This is the 2nd time Hazel has been here. It’s our first grooming experience and they are wonderful! The store also has really yummy treats and tons of toys to choose from.

Just saw a disgusting video of a lady grooming a dog and holding it by its neck and yelling “stop it” because it flinched. Let that be my dog… and it would be a HUGE issue. disgusting trash people in the wrong industry!!

We love these ladies at Moriches Dog Grooming. Been using them since 1994 for all the pups we’ve had over these years. Fair pricing , caring, and our babies come out beautiful!

I have used them for years for some of our dogs whole lives with no problems at all! I have 3 dogs now mostly large breeds and they do such a good job cleaning them and doing their nails.

Debbie took our new puppy in as a walk in and did a terrific job. Thanks for that.

The staff is extremely nice at Moriches Dog Grooming. I bring my Shiba Inu dogs there, and they always come out looking all fluffy with a seasonal bandana on their necks!Very pleased

Been taking my dog here for almost 2 years. They are so caring. And today I needed my dogs hair cut a little shorter on top. And they did it right away. Best customer service. Highly recommend.

This was my first time bringing my little dog here and they were more then amazing ! The hair cut they gave her is PERFECT ! The people who run this shop are also very nice. They offer flea medication or the collar for a reasonable price compared to online. The store is very clean and is like a mini pet store inside. I will definitely be making another appointment for her when she needs it !

So I called today and was told “they aren’t taking new clients because groomers are hard to come by”. Before I could say “oh ok thank you for your time” the phone was already hung up on their end. Say less…..there will come a time when you will need more clientele.

My husband and I recently moved to the area. We were searching for a good and well known dog groomers for our black lab. This place is great; very professional and did a great job on a bath for our fur baby. Definitely am bringing him back! Thank you again!

I have been taking my dog to Moriches Dog Grooming for several years now and have had nothing but great experiences with them! My dog is a shepherd husky mix so she has a unique coat to work with but she always comes out looking amazing. Im always impressed with the quality work they do to make her look great. The whole staff is friendly and professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their pet groomed!

New client review:We moved to NY from Arizona and I was so anxious to bring my furbaby Cooper anywhere to get his first haircut since his last groomer and WOW just wow!As soon as I came in, the store had such a beautiful energy and scent of Christmas. I was greeted and I was able to meet the groomer and talk about a small list of instructions I had.When I went to pick Cooper up, I wish they would have seen my smile behind my mask. Christine NAILED my “doodle cut” request and mentioned that she got everything on my list which made me so happy. When I seen Cooper, my heart seriously lit a spark. I’m so so so happy! A wonderful place. Have been bringing dogs . of the family for at least 35 years. Always professional , caring. Always same owners. Now we have a kitty and we bring her there to have her nails clipped every month. Very reasonable. A real asset to the community and surrounding areas.

They did an absolute GREAT job with my doggy Buster! He was so happy and wasnt afraid of being there and the people there were so nice and jovial. Buster really seemed to enjoy it there and wasnt in a hurry to leave when I went to pick him up. I will be taking him back there whenever he needs grooming! They also gave him a cute little bandana!!! A seasonal themed bandana at that!

I dont just come here because my dogs love the people here, I come because the staff is informative, attentive, honest, and flexible with scheduling. They have amazing toys and a large variety of food, infact they have the food I used to drive 30 minutes to pick up. If I could give these people more than 5 stars I would.

Brought our Chewy to the ladies at Moriches Dog Grooming and they did a lovely job. In the past, groomers have told us that hes been difficult to groom, but these two ladies had no problem at all and he looked and smelled fantastic! Getting ready to book my next appointment with them again. Id recommend their services.

My 1-year old puppy was injured by them at his last visit. He came home nursing his paw and ended up having a problem with his back (all related to that incident). Cleary he was dropped or they mis-handled him badly. Our vet had to put him on anti-inflammatory meds!! They also never cut his toe nails properly and when he would see me at pick up time he would scratch my legs to the point of drawing blood. Every time I would ask if they cut his nails, I was told to just walk him around on the concrete and it will be fine. Ridiculous. I would never take my dog to them again and DO NOT recommend them. Keep your dog safe and go someplace else!

Moved into the area four years ago have been bringing my two dogs for grooming and wouldn’t go anywhere else, lovely attitude family business always friendly and my dogs look terrific. Thank you ladies and gents.

Can’t give zero stars unfortunately. Called to make an appointment for my new dog and they told me that they “weren’t taking new clients” and when I replied “oh, okay”, I got a rude “bye” with an immediate hang up.

Just moved to the area and took my dog here for a bath. They did a great job, very quick, very affordable, and best of all the staff was nice. Ill definitely be coming back.

Friendly, they have groomed out puppy twice and she looked great both times. Grooming area is visible to customers, not hidden in back room.

I have used them for almost 15 years for my Yorkie and 8 years for my daughters havenese I like the fact that the service area is wide open you can walk into the shop and see your animals being groomed it’s all out in the open I have no complaints at all the dogs always look good personally I find the staff knowledgeable and friendly

First time going and loved! His haircut was beautiful, the prices were fair. There were four people working and every one of them spoke to me about my dog. Very nice. Recommend.
