We got an estimate and the installation was scheduled. Dave and his crew arrived on time and had the work done quickly. We were given training and they were in constant communication. The invisible fence was the best thing we did for our Ginger. She loves her freedom and we love the security we have. Great company and people to deal with. If you are thinking of having a fence installed, this is the company to hire.

Dave and his team were very efficient, knowledgeable and respectful. He explained and demonstrated how to retrain our dogs (we had a similar system in previous home). Our dogs can now run freely through our yard. (Supervised of course). The cost was competitive for an acre and two dogs. Would definitely recommend.

I had this installed 9 yrs ago. My wonderful dog passed from cancer. I couldn’t go without a companion so got a puppy to train our way. I knew I had this fence but he kept bolting out. Wasn’t sure after 9 yrs if customer service still there so I contacted them. She ran me through a few tests and had me try something and he’s obeying boundaries. He’s happy we’re really happy and can’t recommend this company enough. 2 of my recommendations signed on and they’re also pleased. Doesn’t hurt my dog and we can rest knowing he’s on property and not in street.

We debated for a while on whether we wanted an electric or traditional fence for our new puppy. Sophie is a plott hound/ Shepard mix and needs room to run! If we had traditionally fenced our entire back yard it would have cost $10,000 and it would have disrupted our beautiful yard. We chose Dog Watch and couldn’t be happier!!! We have been using this company since 2018. Trains your dogs for you. Never an issue with the system and have had 3 dogs using it. This little gal keeps getting into skunks. Dave gave me numerous ideas to get rid of the smell in the collar and receiver. Best personalized service around. Dave personally calls you back and knows your dogs, unlike a big chain company. I purchased a halo system after seeing it plasters all over the internet. While the videos look nice and the “extra” features it comes with seem great, it did not deliver. The gps system it uses cannot isolate position error data from the satellite network, so your boundary will drift daily. When you train a dog everything has to be consistent, whether it’s you giving the feedback or a device. The halo collar was just unreliable and proved frustrating for my dog.So we returned it and got a refund of almost $1,200 and called dog watch. The dog watch fence is reliable and consistent. I was able to let my dog off the leash in my yard within 24 hours (just a side note we had rescued her only a week before). I love the battery lasts 2 yrs instead of nightly charging. Most importantly there is someone who will come to my house and help me if I have a problem, it’s not just a call center where you become the IT professional.Dave and his team were professional. Dave had a great, immediate connection with our dog and personalized our training to fit our needs.If you want a good experience and don’t want to worry go with reliability and Dog Watch. You will be thrilled with the results.

If you’re looking for someone who cares about your dogs as much as you do stick with these folks. I’ve been their customer for over 15 years and anytime I’ve had a question or needed a service they’ve been there for us. If I could give them 10 stars I would, that’s how well they care for their customers. 1.5 acres of freedom that my dogs have been able to enjoy all of their lives.

Dave is the nicest guy and super responsive! I texted him at 10pm with a question, didnt expect a reply until the next morning and he replied right away! From the moment we called to set up the appointment our experience was wonderful! Friendly service on the phone and friendly service in person!We have a new puppy and tried the Halo system, but it was awful in our woods. The boundaries were never consistent and getting help consists of scheduling zoom calls which dont always work so basically you are on your own and we couldnt take the chance with a new puppy.Physical fences were outrageously expensive (one place quoted us $17K for 250 feet)! We decided to ask for recommendations for an electric fence and EVERYONE recommended Dave and now I see why!We called on a Monday or Tuesday and had an appointment for Friday! They were constantly in contact with us and have remained that way even after installation! Thats a huge plus in this day and age when people seem to vanish after the sale!Im thrilled that we found this great local company and very happy with how reliable it works and how well the puppy is doing with it! Our senior dog is 14 and hes doing great with it too! One warning and he quickly turned around and headed back to the house!

Had the hidden fence installed for our new dog. Dave and team were awesome from the beggining. The trainer did a phenomenal job during the learning session. Our dog would not go near the line after just a few minutes! He did a great job explaining what we needed to do with the dog to make sure he learned his boundaries. In fact, he did so well that our dog still wont get close to the boundary a month later. This was the best thing we could have done. No more leash! Using Hudson Valley DogWatch was the best decision we have made in regards to our dog. My family has had Boxers for over 15 years and they stay close but take off sometimes, they chase animals, and with new neighbors we wanted peace of mind. Their technicians came in and set the fence up exactly where we asked even though that meant walking through tons of woods and prickers. Then they delt with my hundreds of questions that they were going to eventually answer and did not leave until I was confident in training my dog on the fence. We got our invisible fence system 14 years ago. Dave was great with the setup and training during those first few weeks. The DogWatch team has been super responsive across the years, even on holidays! We have also purchased the portable electric collars so that we can keep our pups close when we are camping. When you reach out with a question or issue they are calling/texting/emailing with assistance within a day. We have had 4 dogs use our system and we are glad we went with DogWatch because we know they are local and ready to assist if/when we need it!

I couldnt have had a more positive experience with this company. From the start they laid out their proposal clearer than any other dog fence company I had dealt with (and I dealt with several), and their price is lower than/competitive with any of the companies. System setup was customized to our situation, the installation crew was very professional and courteous, and Dogwatch Dave personally took us through training and made sure everything was crystal clear. System has been in place for several months with all flags removed, and works like a charm; our minds are completely at ease. Follow up customer service has also been outstanding.* A note to potential Halo customers: prior to this system we had tried a Halo collar, which I would advise against (with the possible exception of a very large property (25+acres), where installing a physical fence may not be practicable). In my experience the Halo collar will NOT keep a willful dog within your property (for us resulting in an unfortunate chicken incident), and the boundary/location of the dog is NOT accurate (sometimes the collar was beeping while dog was inside our house). And yes, we followed instructions and recalibrated many times. Call Dogwatch, you wont be disappointed!

We’ve had our underground fence put in over 13 YEARS ago!! We live on 12 acres and enclosed over 2 acres with the underground fencing for our German Shepherd, Dachshund, and Bernese Mountain dog. It was the BEST DECISION EVER. I’m so grateful our neighbors told us about Dave. He was able to train our dogs to the fence, came when ANY issues occurred (rare to have issues!!) and to this day offers regular support in battery replacement, indoor discs, chargers etc. This system is literally the TOP OF THE LINE. We have an electric fence that was installed by a company in CT. When we had yard work done and the wire was cut the company was giving us the run around with coming out to fix it so after 2 weeks I started researching who could fix it for us before our dog would figure out the fence was not working. HV Dogwatch was incredibly fast to respond to answer my questions concerning fixing a fence that they didnt install. To my surprise, they put me on the schedule within 2 days of speaking to them, and it was fixed fast. We had a Hidden Fence installed due to our dogs habitual wandering. We live on a busy road, so this was a big concern. The Hidden Fence was installed quickly and after some basic training, our dog hasnt left the yard since.

Unfortunately my dogs had a very bad experience with the invisible fence and I decided to remove it. When I did so I was expecting a hefty charge and thought I would be out a ton of money, but I was going to swallow the cost because I felt like it was the right thing to do for my dogs. However the people at Hudson valley dog watch were very understanding and they charged me far less than they were entitled to for the removal. I appreciate a company that takes customer concerns seriously and genuinely strives to make everyone happy. Although this fence was not right for me, if it is right for you I firmly believe this is the company to choose.

We are happy customers of Hudson Valley Dogwatch since 2019 when we had the system installed and our first dog trained on it. Our second was trained on the system, with the support of Hudson Valley Dog Watch in 2021. The system enables our dogs to run at full speed on our property while giving all of us the security to know that they will remain on our property. They are so well trained on it that they never need to hear the audible. When we recently had a lightning strike that took the system down, Hudson Valley Dogwatch was quick to come out to resolve the issue and take all of the necessary steps to ensure the operation of the system as well as providing the warranty protection. Dave and his team are the best! We went with the hidden fence in our backyard so our two dogs could run around and play. Dave came for an initial estimate and let us know what we could expect with the fence and how the dogs would react to it. He was very professional and the estimate he provided was spot on with what the final number came in at. He walked us through our training after the install and gave us our instructions for the coming week on how to train the dogs to respect the boundaries. They did great and now love playing outside and have a true feel of where they are allowed to go.On a Sunday, we had an issue with one of the collars and Dave responded right away and walked us through how to fix it.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others thinking about installing the hidden fence as it is a great alternative to a traditional fence for those who want their dogs to roam freely.

Dave and crew are the best. We have had two dogs since installing the fence in 2008 and whenever we call for anything (a wire is cut, need more supplies, how to train a puppy) all we get is amazing customer service. This is so rare. They actually care about the dogs and their customers and show it with every interaction. And when we were training, they were excellent so both dogs learned quickly and treat the fence like a 100 foot tall wall. I only recommend them and a bunch of friends have used them and are as happy as we are.

After just having my second system installed, I will have to say this is a first class operation. From my initial conversations with Dave, to the first install at my previous home, to the ease of transferring service to my new home and my second installation by the rock star duo of AJ and Jeremy, I cant recommend this company enough. We are THRILLED with our DogWatch outdoor invisible fence. It’s a gamechanger! We have a very energetic 1yo foxhound/beagle puppy who chases birds with the speed of a locomotive. We had a stomp removed and the company accidentally cut the wire for the fence placed below ground. Called Dave and he was able to squeeze us in the next day to repair the fence. In 2014 I first contacted Dave and his (Dogwatch) team for help with my dogs. His service is 1000% effective. The dogs train easily to it and the team is ALWAYS available whenever needed. The underground invisible fence is a great option for those who don’t like the look of a permanent fence or don’t have the option of one or for dogs that are climbers. Dogwatch of the Hudson Valley put in our underground fence and we could not be happier with their excellent product and highly responsive service. We were leery about trying a hidden wire fence, but putting a regular fence up around our entire property to keep our beloved dogs safe is both infeasible and unauthorized in our neighborhood.Business owner Dave and office manager, Tippie, were wonderful to work with. Dave emphasized the vital importance of taking the time to train the dogs: without training, the hidden fence concept will not work, possibly endangering rather than safeguarding our pets. Properly trained, the dogs have learned their limits and now stay safely on our property instead of running off after deer or dog-walkers passing by.Of course, we never leave our dogs running around outside without supervision-- the hidden fence wont keep other dogs or coyotes from coming in and attacking them-- but it is so nice to be able to work on the garden without worrying that the canines will run off while youre occupied.Highly recommend Dogwatch of Hudson Valley!

Have used their product for Years and have had 4 dogs well contained with system. We have had an amazing experience with DogWatch! Our two hound dogs are so much happier being able to run around, play, and smell all of the things. Both dogs have even chased wild animals out of our yard, and stopped well before the boundary line. They are also getting more exercise, now that they are leash-free, which has translated into them being better behaved dogs. They are too tired for mischief now! This system has been an absolute game changer for our family.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I really just had to for this one! I have a seven month old boxer puppy who is full of energy and loves and wants to play with anyone or anything that moves. We have an acre and a half of property and entertained putting up a wooden fence, but decided (truthfully mainly because we couldn’t even get on anyone’s calendar for months and this dog was running me ragged chasing him outside on a leash) to explore invisible fence options. The thought of it gave me a lot of anxiety because my pup is not treat driven in the least and incredibly hard to train. He goes crazy when he sees other dogs and people because he is so desperate for fun. I started by asking around and I kept hearing people say dogwatch Dave changed their life. So I started reading my own reviews about it and called and spoke with a woman named Tippie who was fantastic and made me feel really comfortable about the process. Fast forward two weeks and we are on day five of the training process and he is already off leash and ignoring everybody who walks by. I am completely amazed! Dave was very informative and super easy to communicate with. I even called him on a Sunday morning on his cell with questions and he was happy to help! We are only at the beginning of our dog freedom journey and without sounding dramatic, it is life-changing lol. A few acquaintances I know went with a company called invisible fence and we discussed the differences (everything from product inclusion to customer service) and they are all regretting that they didn’t know about dogwatch Dave sooner. Highly highly highly recommend! If my dog can do it, so can yours!

I cannot thank Dave and his team enough for what they have done for our family! We have two dogs one a pitbull lab mix and a Great Dane puppy. Our pitbull lab was a runner anytime she got out of the house she would be gone. This caused so much heart and ache anxiety for our family especially my daughter it go to the point that we couldn’t let the dog out without her freaking out. Dave came and installed our electric fence and gave me instructions on how to train my dogs and kept in touch to make sure I was doing okay. Then came release day our Dane was fine stayed in the yard, then it was my pitbull labs turn my husband said “let’s just keep walking her on a leash” we let her of the leash as instructed and to our surprise a dog that we thought wasn’t able to be contained stay in the yard! It’s been two months and I am happy to report both dogs stay in the yard and have never broken the connection!!!! They have gave our family the most precious thing our dogs are so happy to be able to play outside, and my daughter LOVES to be outside with the dogs! Thank you sooo much you were and still are an awesome company to work with. Hands down if you are looking into an electric fence give Dave and his team a call they are AMZING!!

We recently got a second puppy so we needed another receiver and collar.They went out of their way so we could pick out a collar and then went over how to train the puppy for the fence. The system is great . We have had it for 14 years with no problems at all the dogs like it because they have the whole yard to play in off leash. We highly recommend them .They are the best!

Dave, Tippy, and the guys who installed our invisible fence were easily contacted (and continued to be, even after installation of the fence), were informative, and best of all, were understanding about our rescue dogs extremely timid behavior; Dave went so far as to re-figure a different way of training her to use the fencing. We had one small issue, and Dave was at our house to fix it within a day...no arguments or questions. The installation guys were timely, pleasant, and thorough, too. This is definitely the easiest and most reliable invisible fence option that I have found. We had dogwatch at our first home and it was amazing. We tried to save a few bucks when we moved and bought the halo collar instead of having a new invisible fence put in. It has been a nightmare. The battery dies after eight hours or so and then the collar has to be plugged in. My house is crazy, full of four kids who all steal chargers and the collar would go days without being charged… Not safe for my dog! Dogwatch requires virtually no involvement from me, Super user-friendly. If there ever was an issue… which was always my fault because I would cut the wire while excavating land, dogwatch always responded promptly and fixed the issue completely. I’m glad to have Dogwatch at my new house now so I can take dog safety off my daily list of to do’s
