The Pet Stop Grooming, & Boarding.

They can only keep your foster pet alive.I fostered my rabbit for a few days, and I was very sad to see him when I came back. I believe he has had a very bad few days.The difference is obvious in the picture. He has lost a lot of weight and his eyes are desperate. He used to come to me in bed, but now he is even afraid of people. I tried to attract him with his favorite food, but he totally ignored me. There are obvious tears in his eyes. I have every reason to believe that he has experienced abuse.If you love your pets, dont bring them here.Again, never, ever keep a pet here. They should be ordered to close down.

The fact that they can take my guinea pigs is why my rating is as high as it is. The smell is a bit overwhelming, the smell is so strong it clings to my pet carriers, the pricing is okay. I’d say if you’re in a pinch and need to board your pet/pets, go here. If you can pay more and they take your pet, go elsewhere.

Since I was new to the area, I decided to check this place out. I have to agree with lack of customer service and putrid smell when you walk in. I came in with my Chihuahua, noting I just moved to the area, needed a new groomer and boarding as I travel. Miles began to bark naturally so I put him down to ease his anxiety. The young staff mbr seemed friendly, even tried to greet my pet. - no one was a the front when I walked in - However, the owner appeared very standoffish. So, whats your question?. I guess I was too friendly or, talking too much. But the vibe I got was off. Hard pass... Mind you, I hadnt received a service yet 🐾✂️ trust your gut ✨️

Horrible experience dogs were not taken outside, except for twice a day peeing poop all over the ground inside their kennel. Every time I came to visit I do not recommend this place at all. Horrible, smell, rude customer service, and my dogs leashes and collars came back, broke and was never refunded my dogs are supposed to be there two weeks. Let’s just say they were there 4 days.

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF OR OWNER.I CAME WITH MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ONCE WE STEP IN SHE SAID HOW CAN I HELP YOU CANNOT DO THAT DO THIS ...SHE IS QUITE NOT WELCOMING WITH DIFFRENT BACKGROUND PEOPLE AS I SKIM OTHER REVIEWS. SHE IS IGNORING AS MUCH AS SHE CAN.

This is a wonderful and affordable place to have your pet taken care of. I board my dog here and its convenient for friends and family and dog walkers to visit him. Terry the owner has been a staple in East Greenbush for 20+ years. We are blessed to have this place.

Amazing! I was in a pinch with my golden doodle who was much overdue for a haircut as his previous groomer is on leave. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and got my baby boy in asap. Due to the matting he had and his temperament with previous groomers i had low expectations for how he might look. His hair is shorter than ever and he looks amazing. Nothing but good things to say about this place and their people! Thank you pet stop!!

Had my dog for three days while we were away from home, but when I picked up she smelled very bad. It was so bad and strong smell of urine and dog litter. When I called this place and spoke to the owner she said that our dog was kept in a large kennel but she confirmed that there were other male (unneutered dog) that were close to my dog and had some accidents.This place is not the place where you want to board your dog. I would not recommend Pet Stop to anyone needing of boarding service for their pet.

They do not abuse animals, dont believe those reviews. Great staff and great to animals. Have gotten ALL my rats and supplies there. Super friendly and helpful. They take great care of all of their animals. Its very clean and yes it smells like animals because... theyre a pet store...

Since moving to their new location I think it is a much better store. I didnt realize until after my recent visit that it was the same store from the price chopper plaza. Spur of the moment I stopped in on labor day and ended up adopting a kitten. Hes a doll and so far a great little guy. I wish them the best in their new spot.

Terry came and picked up my cat Raider, who is a long hair cat and had some pretty big knots and matted hair. She had him back in an hour or so looking absolutely fantastic with his lion cut... she is awesome would definitely recommend Terry. Thank you!

Weve been bringing our dogs, first Maggie, now Rosie to Terry for grooming for years now... Her appt. times are flexible, the fee is reasonable compared to most, and Maggie and Rosie have always been treated well and happy to go there. Kudos on the new location and store.

Our 4 month old puppy goes once a week, (more if there’s no one home for him) for day care and absolutely LOVES it! As soon as he sees where we are he’s pulling on the leash to get in. He comes home happy and tired from playing all day... we’re thrilled to have a flexible, safe and convenient place to bring him and not have to crate him all day. He loves the staff and his new doggie friends, and we always find healthy treats and toys in stock, at a reasonable price. Highly recommend if you’re looking for reasonably priced day care and supplies in or near Rensselaer County.

Tried to make an appointment for two dogs to get groomed but the person that answers the phone was rude and angry. I would not want to leave my dogs alone with someone that sounds so angry doing her job, which is taking care of animals

I bring a whole pack to Terrie and she is amazing with them! They always look fabulous adter she grooms them. I am so lucky to have found her!

I hold pet stores to a very high standard, and this place is an absolute dump. They cage their reptiles improperly (2 adult corn snakes to a 20L at most) their painted concrete floor is completely chipped and stained and dirty looking. I left a bad review on them a year ago for having a dog in a kennel on the sales floor with cherry eye (that means it needs vet attention) and was completely harassed in the comments on my review. This place should have been shut down years ago when they were breeding guinea pigs out of control.

Ive gotten a rabbit and guinea pig here before. Not only is the owner rude and mean to the animals, but the place is an absolute dump and the animals are kept in disgusting conditions. Its abusive, just straight animal abuse. Plus they almost killed my friends dog when she boarded her dog here a few years ago. Will never shop here again, this place needs to be shut down.

Does not honor grooming appts NOR does she call to cancel.I had an appt 12/1 @ 10am, upon arrival she told me she could not groom my cat. she had no helper and was already grooming a dog.PHONE CALLS ARE APPRECIATED!

Such a great place to board in EG, lucky to have them out our way! they take excellent care of our dog, he comes home so happy after every visit!

I have been going to Pet Stop for years . Grooming needs are always done here and Terry carries the absolute top of the line dog food. If there is a brand you are looking for to meet your pets specific needs stop in and discuss it with her, Im sure she can help you out.

Got my cat nails trimmed fast and easy with no drama. No fighting, no biting always a plus.

I have been going here for at least 10 years, Never have seen any abuse or neglect of any kind. People that say are neglectful or abusive obviously are not experienced pet owners or have never cared for multiple animals for any length of time.

I have gone here since they opened the owner is so knowledgeable she has helped me with so many questions about my animals always eager to help I would recommend this place to anyone in the capital district

Forgot our appointment and rushed the grooming.When picking him up, Noting a bloody foot and did not disclose what happened , he bled for hours .

Just love the place, have been going here for years. Got my best friend form here, a cockatiel I named Elu, and get my feeding rats here.

Owner is completely caring about animals. When we had three dogs, then two, and now only have our Yorkie, shes cared for them when we needed boarding and always orders the products we use so they will be ready when we pick them up. Also, her new store is great!

If I could give zero stars I would they abuse animals here.

The owner is wonderful! She really loves animals. She is constantly taking in animals people drop off. She has a big heart and will help you as much as possible.

Very well prepared however it is too expensive to be a regular stop.
