Took my furbabies for an exam. We were greeted by Yami who was kind and professional - she assisted with any questions I had and always had a smile on her face. Dr.Chen was great we saw her and she was very gentle with my fur babies. She didn’t rush us and asked questions and addressed our concerns. Her assistant Danny was very sweet and was good with my babies keeping them calm. Great place I will see you all soon! Thank you!!!🙏 🤭

I have taken my 3 dogs there for the last 4 yrs and love the doctors there. They are kind and understanding. My oldest dog’s life was coming to an end recently and I had to make the tough decision of putting her to sleep. The whole staff and Dr. Yohay were all wonderful helping me get through such a tough time. They made it easier on me on such a tough time. I want to thank all of them for their care, help, sympathy and beautiful card sent to me afterward. Lily was in great hands on her last minutes on earth.

Thank you so much to Dr. Cheng & her team for taking the best care of my fur-baby Chip! A few weeks one side of chips face was swollen and his eye was shut. After a couple of stressful & sleepless nights of worry & from one hospital to the next & no answers we went to VCA & saw Dr. Cheng. I wish there were more vets & people like her! Compassionate, thorough, knowledgable & comforting. Chip was in a lot of pain & needed his tooth removed. She performed surgery & was amazing every step of the way. The entire team was so warm & Chip was in the best hands. She even gave me a few cans of soft food until we could go get some. She put my husband & I at ease & answered all our questions. She even called to check in and address any concerns. Chip is a strong boy & I’m so happy to say he’s recovered very well & he’s back to his playful self! We just want to give a big thank you to Dr. Cheng for taking quick action & helping him & helping us. We do not have children so our dogs are our everything! Wish I could give negative stars. 3rd strike and you’re out. Took my dog angel there 10+ yrs ago after she was hit by a car. She was walking for hours and walked in. They said she needed a surgery; my dog never walked again. In 2017 my dog princess was taken there for some issues. Fluid was building around her heart. I paid 3k to have it removed but they said it came back. My mother received a phone call that a wrong medication was administered there by a nurse. She ended up being euthanized because we didn’t want her suffering. BUT now after what happened with my cat I wonder if we made a mistake. I brought my cat in because he was breathing funny. I was told in front of my friends that my cat HAS congestive heart failure. Not that he might or it’s a possibility, but that he definitely has it and an echo would tell us what type and how progressed it is. CHF is basically a death sentence for an animal. I was told it could be days, weeks or months, that they are unsure of how long he could live for. So my cat was hospitalized over night and put on oxygen. I don’t mind paying for the oxygen but I was charged $3200 for the hospitalization that my cat didn’t need because a week later when the echo was done elsewhere my cat DOES NOT have congestive heart failure. I called about my concerns and was left a voicemail today about what is wrong with my cat WHICH I already knew. That’s not my issue. My issue is that for a week I didn’t sleep and my cat was on blood thinners (that he didn’t need) and if he would’ve cut himself he could’ve bled out. For a week I was scared that I’d find my cat dead. And all I get is a breakdown of what I’ve already been told by another vet??? How about where’s my money back for the unnecessary hospitalization? How about an APOLOGY for telling someone their cat is dying when their cat has a treatable issue??? Zero compassion, zero respect, zero empathy. They just want money. I’ll take this to court if need be

Great experience start to finish. Was recommended to Dr Yohay and booked appointment at once. The staff is so friendly and accommodating it’s unreal. My pet is aggressive with other dogs so they brought me in early. Dr Yohay spent well over an hour with my pet. Gave him all vaccinations due a certificate and treated his ears as well as deep cleaning. He explained everything to me more than once and offered options. Price was quoted prior to vaccination which is a great idea. The technician cut the medication for me so I did not have to go home and do it. All papers and medication put in a nice carry bag. If you need a vet or dissatisfied where you are ask for Dr Yohay.

We had been taking our pets here for years and were pleased with the care Dr. Yohay and the other doctors provided. However, today we had a terrible experience. We arrived two minutes late for our appointment (that we had booked weeks in advance), and the young lady at the front desk said since we were late we would have to wait until after other appointments were seen. She claimed we were seven minutes late and that their policy was anyone more than five minutes late would have to wait. She said it could be up to an hour wait - even though we were the only ones there. I said this was unacceptable and that we should be next, but she said she was going to take several other appointments - people who hadnt arrived yet - first! No compassion or understanding whatsoever! They could have easily taken us next but wanted to enforce some ridiculously rigid policy to prove a point. They just lost a customer who had been with them for years. Terrible customer service. Stay away.

Ive been using VCA East Meadow Animal Hospital since adopting our rescue Great Pyrenees Jonah in October of 2014. The care given him by the Vets and staff has always been top notch. While we primarily see Doctors Gross and Chen he has always been given great care by the other associate Vets also. The staff is both courteous and caring. I will continue to use VCA East Meadow Animal Hospital for his needs and care

My usual vet didn’t have time for us when my dog was sick, so I came across this animal hospital and i’m so glad I did! Dr. Chen and the rest of the staff were so accommodating and sweet. It didn’t feel like the diagnoses and treatments offered to us were a money grab like it often does. Very happy with my experience here.

Great vet experience! Have a big, skittish dog and the vet techs and vet do everything they can to make her comfortable while effectively doing their job.Vet provides honest opinions without forcing you into any financial commitment and presents all options available. We recently started bringing both our pups and will continue to do so while we’re in the area!

Amazing team here, have been bringing my families dogs to them for a very long time now. These vets don’t do what they do for money, they come in every day for their passion and genuine care of making our pets feel better and get back to loving life. Extremely grateful to have such an amazing place to bring my pups!

Our dog has been a patient here since she was born 15 years ago. In the past 14 years, VCA East Meadow had been absolutely stellar. Never would we have dreamed we would have the need to abruptly move our poor sweet senior dog because of the level of compassion this place has for animals has DISAPPEARED. For her safety, & we suggest yours especially if you have a senior pup-MOVE TO ANY BOND VET.I have never had this office refuse same day sick appointments. The secretary said they have never offered that at their office. ARE YOU ON DRUGS?! A 15 yr old dog can’t be left on the curb for DAYS with a raving UTI & stomach infection with no date in site for an opening. Absolutely ridiculous. What is even funnier is we never had this problem EVER. We’d call, they’d get her in. That is no more. I just saw a review from 2 months ago where they helped someone with a walk in urgent pet health issue. Why them & not my poor Molly. You should treat EVERY CUSTOMER EQUALLY.Bond Vet (many LI locations) offers TELEHEALTH for pups. $89 visit & $60 meds all in. Thank GOD our dog is on the mend. I did everything online. Same visit at VCA East Meadow costs us near $500 every time.Don’t walk, RUN from this place. They put senior pets lives (& 15 year clients!) in jeopardy. An absolute shame………..

Vets are super nice and clearly love what they do, staff is so kind to the pets. Its a busy location and they still make room for emergencies and manage to keep the pace flowing nicely. One of the front desk people is really serious but she gets the job done and is just more on the forward side. Ive seen her smile a few times so I know she does it. Vets and back staff balance it out with friendly personalities and humor. So kind and loving to animals. They dont try to sell you something you dont need which makes the visit pleasant. Your pets needs are met without you feeling pushed toward unneeded services that happen at some vet places. Definitely recommend.

I bring my pup here and the vet is super super nice. He always makes sure that your furbaby is comfortable and that you feel safe . My dog cant be around other animals and he always sends someone out to make sure the pathway is clear from my car to the room.

So many issues with this place I don’t know why I gave them so many chances. Our last pet was having a seizure and my husband brought her in (in tears)and was sent away by the heartless woman at the front desk. She told him we can’t help you, and basically kicked him out. Fast forward to our puppy, in 2021 I wasn’t allowed in because I had my toddler with me and they were “following strict covid rules”. Come back with my puppy and no toddler and the entire staff crowds into the tiny exam room to see her. Literally the entire staff. I wouldn’t care, she was adorable, but they wouldn’t allow my daughter in the building and here I am surrounded by 10 random unnecessary people.Last issue, brought my dog for her allergy shot and Dr Chen (the best doctor there) wasn’t available had to see someone else who blindsided us with a wellness check fee, and a bunch of random unnecessary vaccines that no one asked for, or agreed to. Hundreds of dollars when all we needed was the same allergy shot we always came in for. If you do go here ONLY see dr Chen. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The moment you walk in, you can see that everyone really cares about animals. Ive had 3 different cats with 3 different cancers in the last 3 years that passed away. They were all approximately 14 years old. You could tell that the Vet really cared and was affected by it. Each time he allowed me to spend as much time as I needed with my cats to say goodbye. I have recommended this vet to to some of my friends who are already bringing their pets in and are very impressed.

Very caring doctors and staff. They took great care of my 19 year old dog. Nobody has ever held him without him crying but they were able to make him comfortable .

I have been bringing my dog here since he was a baby and service has declined. I brought him in for grooming and was blindsided with a wellness check up after he was seen a few months ago. Paid an extra $83.00 and was told nothing about his health or the findings of this so called check up. Received my dog after grooming and he looked like he was brushed with a broom. In the past I have received him after a groom with still smelling ears. Prices fluxuate every time I bring him for a bath as lo and behold he needs another vaccination or test that I am not told about when I make an appointment, and I always ask how much will the appointment cost. I am so disappointed in the quality of service lately.

DR Gross saved my little dog Greta’s life. She injured her back and could not walk. I couldn’t afford surgery and was afraid I might have to put her down but he treated her with steroids and she is old but still alive and kicking. All the doctors and staff are very nice. I love this place!

I have been using them since I had my first German Shepherd at 5 years old. They are very good caring. Thats and help you with anything you need.

We absolutely loving bringing our dogs to this facility! We have seen all three drs, but Dr Chen and Dr Yohay recently went above and beyond to save our dog Nova from a rare condition. They constantly call us to check in and see how’s she’s doing and we can’t thank them enough for all their help. The entire staff is always so warm and welcoming. We cannot recommend VCA east meadow enough. Thank you all again for saving nova!!! 🐶

We had to unexpectedly put down our 15 year old Westie yesterday (11/8/21), we were told by one animal hospital, no appointments nothing could be done. VCA East Meadow not only answered their phone with kindness, but continued to speak very calmly to us despite the hectic situation we found our family in. Little Mollie was on her way... and they told us how much everything would cost and that we all could be there with her.Everyone at the facility was extremely kind and patient with us. The doctors and techs really made us all feel comfortable. It was an extremely difficult moment for our family, but VCA East Meadow Animal Hospital made us feel so much better. Mollie was loved up until her very last breath, and this place is 100% to thank. Thank you to everyone at VCA East Meadow Animal Hospital for helping us say goodbye to our Mollie. Your kindness to our family and to Mollie will never be forgotten.

We took our cat in today for a post-operative exam and consultation on dental work. We met with Dr. Gross. He couldnt have been nicer and more helpful. He explained all of the possibilities for the dental work and suggested that we wait an additional month or so for the surgery to heal before proceeding. We greatly appreciated his honesty and conservative approach to treatment. We will be back in January for the dental work.

The building is very dated and in need of repair and a facelift, but dont let that turn you away. The staff and doctors are great!!! Puntual appointments, very accommodating and very knowledgable and loving to my fur baby.

Horrible experience.... Took my dog in March because she was getting hot spots. They told me it was allergies. Her skin wasnt getting better at all. Told them if they can do a blood work. They said it wasnt necessary that it was allergies. In august I decided to take her to a new vet. The new vet did a blood work and its wasnt allergies that she had... never going back to VCA EAST MEADOW ANIMAL HOSPITAL. They dont know what they are doing!!!

Been going to VCA for over 10 years. The care they gave my dog Luke was amazing. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. My dog Luke had a rare condition. Becasue of the VCA very wonderful Vets and staff. Luke live 4 more years happy and pain free. Now we take Piper the new member of our family.

I took my dog to VCA last week as an emergency case-my usual vet could not see him until next week even though I told them it was an emergency. The staff & the vet who checked my dog out were very concerned & were a pleasure to deal with. I was also surprised at the bill (although I thought that the medication was a bit pricy for the type & dosage given) that it was reasonable. Considering that this was an emergency I thought they were very good & would definitely consider switching to them on a permanent basis.

My cat had a cut on his neck, our vet told us to go VCA because its emergency, then we found this location. First, the lady was super rude giving us big attitude then cut me off when I was explaining why we here, she kept saying do you have appointment, I said so many times its emergency. Rude and they dont care about pets who need emergency treatment. If your pets need emergency treatment do not go. For any reason do not go this vet, they dont care about pets and their front desk attitude is the worst.

I brought my cat here for a wellness visit and everyone was so kind and attentive, aside from one of the receptionists who was extremely rude, spoke over me and brushed me off. If you’re going to be nasty, maybe don’t work where you need to speak with people?Also on the pricey side.

Great service, short waits, and excellent animal care. My Pug goes frequently as she is elderly and Dr. Chen and Dr. Gross do a great job. They also handle my insane Calico kitten well, who might get banned from any other hospital for being crazy. Highly recommended.

I have only been coming to this location since April 2020 and each time I am greeted on the phone or in person with such consideration, care, attentiveness and professionalism. This is from the time I call, to my handing over of my puppy / entry to the establishment along with speaking to and meeting the doctors. Whilst COVID-19- has effected us all this team continue to offer a great service.They are an amazing team of professionals.... Thank you for all the advise, listening to my concerns and all you have done and continue to do.. The Deabreu household truly appreciates you!!

The staff is welcoming and efficient. Dr Yohay performed a thorough exam and strongly advised taking my cat to VREC in Westbury. She received excellent care by both Dr Yohay and VREC. It took her a few days to recover but shes back to her feisty self. I am so glad my friend recommended VCA East Meadow.

Love this place, best vets around, gladly drive 30-60 minutes to get to them!

VCA EMAH has been our Vet for 30 Years. They are extremely compassionate, go up and beyond normal procedures to ensure the pets health and safety as well as being friendly and courteous. Dr Goss has always been our #1 Vet; Dr Chen, Receptionist Pat and the techs are just as fabulous (they even sometimes share their food with my doggo who is petrified of being there). I highly recommend them to any pet owners!

Unfortunately I decided to give this place a chance. Do not bring your dog here if you would like your results back in an expedient manner. They will forget to send the xrays to be read by a radiologist, which is almost a $100 fee. They will not refund said money when the services are not performed. I have to wait until their office manager comes in and approves it. They told me they were not sent because of a glitch in the computer which they werent aware about or didnt inform me about until I called for results. I was told I would hear back between 12 and 2pm. I called at 4pm after not receiving a phone call. I want a refund and to stop the radiologist that they have from reading. They will send nothing guaranteeing my refund even though the dr. I spoke to said i would get it when the office manager decides I can get refunded. My dog was seen over 48 hours ago and has not had his xrays read by a radiologist. Now I need to send my xrays somewhere else and pay more money so I can actually get an answer. This is the first and last time I will go here. I always suggest Woodbury emergency if anyone needs service for their pets. They are always nice and understanding pleasant and do what they say. Im sorry I tried something closer to home. I will be looking around for a primary vet because this is not the place. They are not about pet health but money.

This place is HORRIBLE. The people who work here dont give a ounce of care for your pets. I have dropped my dog off to get a shower 3 times here and I will never go back again. The first time he was still very wet from the shower and they did not care to dry him off. The other 2 times they lied and did not even give him a shower probably as it seemed he was still dirty. The staff is rude, and it seems like the vet is a 3rd rate professional. I would tell people to stay as far away from this place as possible, as I honestly feel terrible for even bringing my pet here and putting him through whatever they may be doing behind closed doors. I even had a complaint which was not even answered properly by this place.STAY AWAY.

I sent my son with his new Siberian husky KOBE. I called in the morning and wanted to use a coupon from first time clients,I was given an appointment the same afternoon.Check in was so easy,staff was amazing.The Dr was very nice, informative,and most of all very honest with my son.We are are extremely happy with the level of service they provided from beginning to end.Will definitely continue using them.Thank you

The receptionist charged and admin my dog for a flu shot without asking, had she I would have informed her of the health plan at bandfield as if she didnt know I gave her 3 pages of his history from there since 2010. Not nice at all! Top it off they bought my pup out with the handle of his leash, they had to cut it off!!!!! Wth

The staff is always friendly and caring. It’s nice that their appointments are available much sooner than other veterinarians in the area.

Stay away from Dr. GROSS! have never experienced a more uncaring vet. We have been coming here for many years and will never go back!

They did take good care of my pet witch made me feel peace at mind. Because my dog is my world. RIP Baci 2/3/12.

Free first visit. Excellent staff and vet. They called with the test results as promised. I switched to this vet.

The staff treated Wednesday like family! Our poor little cat got into something toxic. The doctor knew exactly what the problem was and gave her the proper treatment. Within hours, Wens was back to her normal self. We are so happy we brought her to VCA for treatment. The receptionist, vet assistant, and doctor were all so accommodating, and we cannot thank them enough for everything they did for our little girl!

They went above and beyond for my dog each time. I appreciate them.

My poor Lilly seems to have an upper respiratory infection. All of the Vets and the help are kind and loving towards the animals and their owners.

I never even made into the facility and now I wouldnt even consider using them unless in a dire emergency and there was no other option. I recently adopted a dog from ACC and received a certificate to use at a VCA vet. I am in Queens and there are no VCA facilities in Queens, but I am not far from East Meadow therefore I contacted VCA East Meadow Animal Hospital. Only to be told that they would not give us an appointment because we do not live in the area. We were going to be driving to them, we were not asking them to come to us, where we live should have nothing to do with the care of our new pet, we were willing to make the trip.

From routine visits to boarding my Bubba loves the doctors and staff here. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I am traveling with my senior dog, and needed immediate service for a problem with her leg, as she could not walk. On the advice of a friend, I called, they made time for us that morning, and Dr. Ferber was outstanding! He did an exam, considered the possibilities, and we agreed to proceed with the least invasive strategy first, ran some lab tests, and we will follow up next week to see if more needs to be done. I could not be happier, they took great care of my baby
