Recently boarded my very young shizhu mix and chihuahua. We had a terrible experience at another boarding kennel, so I was very nervous. The place is beautiful, we took a tour and staff answered all our questions. It is clean, nicely run and welcoming. Our dogs did very well here, were clearly loved and cared for by staff. I was so happy when I came back from my trip and saw how great they did. I will be using them again for sure.

After seeing some other reviews recently, weve decided its best to share our experience as well. We left our dog Jasper at Add-En-On in May, for about 2 weeks. When we left him he was in good health and behavior was normal. My wife called during our trip to check on Jasper and was told he was taking time to warm up to the staff. This was the first warning sign - our dog is a social butterfly and loves meeting new people. At other kennels weve boarded him at he has barely cared that we were leaving because he loves meeting new people. An hour before we were scheduled to pick him back up from Add-En-On, we received a call saying he had a sore on his front foot that was starting to look infected. We received no prior notice that anything could be wrong. Upon pickup we found the sore on his front foot that was much larger and deeper than we thought and oozing white pus in addition to other sores on his feet, legs, and body. The most we received in explanation from the staff was that he might have been bitten by an insect, but that that they didnt know how he he was hurt and that they were very sorry. The pictures show the types of sores, including the one on his front foot, which were very apparent that they had been present and festering for longer than the kennel staff let on. We immediately took Jasper to the vet and even with medication, constant bandage changes and care, it took a month for the sore to clear up (he still has a scar). Jasper has recovered somewhat from his sores, but his overall health and behavior have been diminished since his stay - he is still not the same dog we dropped off. If you care about your pet, heed these reviews and think twice before leaving your pet here. We are never going to take our pets back to Add-En-On.

This is Pickles the day after picking him up from this Kennel after a week stay. He died less than an hour after these photos.. not even 24 hours after being picked up. When picking him up the person working mentioned he hadnt eaten in 2 days. When we saw him he had lost a noticeable amount of weight to the point his collar wouldnt even fit/stay on him. When I got in the car I noticed he had a bunch of white goop all around his eyes. I went back inside to ask if they had noticed this and they said they didnt. Brought him home and he had zero energy, just layed around. He was dead the next day. He was fine at drop off. Even had a vet visit a week prior. After calling and speaking to the owner stories were different on when they last saw him eat or how much. Also finding out he had blood in his stool they saw. He said they had noted these off symptoms and even had discussions about it and not ONCE after these observations did they call us and tell us. They even have you give them all your credit card information so if somethings is off while youre away they can take your dog to the vet which they obviously do not do! So I wouldnt reccomend or trust them with your CC info or your pets. When we called all they could say was they dont know what happened and mentioned an autopsy was probably too late to bother doing to determine his cause of death so we shouldnt bother with that. Also suspicious? Almost $300 spent for our beloved pet to not be cared enough for to help save him. And another $200 for having to cremate our baby after and just an oops response from the kennel. This is Pickles. He was 8 years old and suffered from complete negligence.

I dropped my dog off on July 15th and my parents picked her up on August 15th. She was dropped off in good health with a clean bill of health from the Vet before drop off and at pick up; she had lost 20 pounds, had sores all over her legs, her coat is shedding with severe dandruff, and has lost her personality. She is shy and scared and the complete opposite of when I dropped her off and she has zero energy which I unlike her. This place came highly recommended and I was concerned and dumbfounded how she has gotten this bad in a month in their care. She is not like the dog I dropped off.

I dropped my Samyoed off on Saturday June 1st and picked her up on Friday June 7th. She was in excellent health, nothing the matter with her, in fact my vet tells me each time we visit that my dog is in excellent physical and biological health. When I picked her up, she had a significant limp and when I asked what happened they blamed it on her age. How lame. Werent open, honest or transparent. I took her to the vet on Saturday June 8th and they diagnosed a soft tissue sprain. Never taking any pet there ever again.

Bruce, Michelle, Kevin, Rachel, Adam & staff are truly amazing people! They look after all the animals as if they were there own. Weve been taking our border collie there for a few years now for daycare and boarding and he absolutely loves it! I cant recommend this place enough and already referred lots of friends and family members there. They are currently finishing up renovations and the place will look spectacular in the next 6 months. For boarding, try to book early as they tend to book up, especially on holiday weekends. Try doggy daycare as well. They have a bone-shaped doggy pool that the animals love and its great all year round.

Fantastic staff and amazing service selection! My dog Banner loves coming here and is always excited when we pull up and its really awesome how you can customize their stay with hikes or swimming etc. I know they do a great job taking care of all the dogs here especially since my dog has had difficulties at other kennels before and they are always excited to see Banner and always give great feedback. Worth the money and drive out.

Poor customer service! From the moment I dropped my dog off I noticed Michelle had a rude tone of voice. She was not pleasant to interact with when dropping my dog off and I asked for a quick tour as we had never been there. She was rude when I called her on the phone regarding picking my dog up early, and again when I called regarding my dog not returning home with his blanket. I assumed it was just me taking it the wrong way from being tired from traveling, until I spoke with my sister who also boarded her dog there and felt she was rude every time they spoke, and my dad who picked our dogs up for us and said she was rude in person. My father described her as “not a people person” and I could not agree more. The property where the dogs are is very nice, and the price is nice, but would NOT recommend due to customer service. I wanted to support local but will gladly pay double the price and continue to use Christopher Robin in Avon, where the staff is always friendly, provides updates, and the dogs get to socialize in a large play area with one another!

We love it here! When we tell our pups they’re going to “camp”, they jump around in excitement knowing they’re going to see Michelle and friends! We know they’re adored there...everyone knows them by name and understands their unique needs (we have an escape artist with a sensitive tummy and they keep him happy and safe!!). We get thorough updates of their time st camp when we pick them up, so we know the team at Add-En-On is paying attention to them! We are so lucky to have such a great Camp family!!!

We love bringing our pups to Add-En-On but more importantly Dexter and Emmy love it!Addendum June 12, 2023. After being long-time clients of this establishment, having what seemed to be good relationships with the owners, and having used them frequently with nothing but great experiences, we have discontinued using Add-En-On as of 2021. The shocking and sad truth is they didnt value us enough to consider people who have dogs might have relatively restrictive schedules. In the late 2010s they changed their drop-off and pick-up scheduling process. While I completely understand it can get hectic when more than one person is bringing their dog(s) in at the same time, fifteen minutes is MORE than enough time to squeeze in two clients. But when our schedule completely prohibited us from accommodating their schedule I simply asked if they could do just that. The answer, again, after years of patronage and thousands of dollars spent, was a flat no. Even after explanation and the fact that they loved our pups... NO. This left us high and dry and we ended up having to hire someone to stay at our house which cost an arm and a leg. I even told Michelle we were done and never heard a thing back.So much for customer service and a relationship built over years. We now use Boops in Brockport after an even WORSE experience at Evergreen in Churchville.

I left my dog at this kennel for eight days. He lost six pounds and looked starved when I went to pick him up (he was weighed a day before we dropped him off and the same day we picked him up.) He was also shedding an extreme amount, you could see it piling up on top of him, and when you pet him, a huge amount would come out. He’s a boxer! He was obviously very stressed and neglected during his stay here. His normal shiny coat was sticky and brittle, and he had dirt matted on him. I specifically told the staff to call me if there were any changes to his behavior, as I was worried about a swollen lymph node he had developed after getting his vaccinations (which my doctor told me was normal but to monitor the size over the course of two weeks). I also gave her access to his medical records and his Vet at pittsford animal hospital. I called three days into my vacation to check up. She assured me he was doing great, his normal bouncy self. I drive straight from the Cape to the kennels to find my dog in the worst state of his life (he’s one and a half, and in perfect health) and so I had to drive my dog immediately from the kennel to the hospital. I had to pay >200 for medical fees, which I don’t mind, as long as my dog was getting the care he needed. I was not made aware at any point about his health, even when I arrived to pick him up. I come to find he had gotten kennel cough, regardless of the fact that he was up to date with his shots. Apparently they do not have any procedure if/when a dog is to get sick with something that is contagious and can spread to the rest of the dogs boarding. If they had made a point to be honest or even make a basic phone call informing me about what was going on, then my dog would not have had to suffer for days in their care. I would have GLADLY left my vacation early to go pick him up and get him the help he needed. Instead they let him rot. They were defensive and rude when my family complained, and we are now banned, when we simply wanted them to install proper protocol when/if another out break were to occur. I wouldn’t trust them to look after my cactus. This place is an absolute disgrace and they should be ashamed of the way they treated my dog. And after looking into their establishment more, it is clear he was not the first dog treated this way, and sadly, I’m sure he will not be the last. Even if one person reads this, please do not take ur pet here.

Boarded my dog twice and the owner was rude both times but was more accommodating with the pick up time the first time. The second time I requested to pick up my dog early and she insisted his appointment was for the next morning. She would not allow me to pick up my dog early because he had a different appointment time for pick up. This seemed a little crazy to me that she would not release my dog when I asked her to. Although the place looks brand new - my dog was starving when we finally retrieved him and brought him home. He had also lost his bark for a few days. I assume it was because he was barking the entire week I boarded him. I will never board my dog there again because I feel I cant trust the owners to give my dog the attention and care he needs.

I really don’t think they should allow Michele to deal with the public. If the animals are treated the way she treats people… it’s not good. Michele has to be 100% the nastiest person and rudest I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. She is so rude and nasty you just feel sorry for her… her poor family. Omg 😱. Michele needs help!!! Michele, why you gotta be so mean????
