I absolutely LOVE bringing my Dalmatian, Ellen, here for regular grooming. I knew we were in the right place when I saw the blueberry facial on the menu. If dogs could talk, I think she’d tell me she loves Ruff Cuts just as much as I do!Ellen’s always so excited from the second we pull into town. The owner and the entire staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Ellen sparkles with joy and smells fresh for days after each visit. Not only are they the best dog groomers in the area, there’s an amazing selection of fresh treats, gear, and toys. They also manage to get the most perfect photo everytime. 10/10 recommend!

Liz and team take excellent care of my 80 lb sheepdog. Wally loves going there. Liz listens, suggests and always sends him home like a dog model.She also cleans up my Scottish terrier mix. He is a handful! They have patience.I would never go anywhere else!

We started taking our dog here in the fall of 2023. Liz and her staff have been nothing but amazing to our dog. The day before our dogs appointment I ask my dog you want to go see Miss Liz and all her friends. She runs to the door. 💜 Best groomer in the Hudson Valley!

I brought my puppy twice to this salon and both times they did THE BEST JOB! I highly recommend! Our Morkie is always cut to perfection and smells amazing!!!! It’s almost Halloween, and our puppy left with the CUTEST Halloween bandana!! Already can’t wait to bring him back!!!!

Liz (the owner) and her entire staff (groomers & front office) are all so friendly & they go above and beyond to make you & your fur baby feel special. They are all so talented. They attend workshops each year to heighten their skills, which I think is pretty impressive!! 2 years ago we rescued our baby, Jazzy, and we wanted only the best for her, and SHE TRULY GETS THE VERY BEST EVERY TIME she visits Ruff Cuts. I used to have to carry her into the salon because she was scared. Now, she walks right in with her tail wagging, and she’s so happy. Her groomer is Corinne & we love her! She genuinely loves each dog that comes through the front door and takes her time with them. She always comes out to greet Jazzy with open arms when we arrive, which I love b/c I know my girl is in great hands. We go over what will be done that day & we speak again at pickup and she tells me how everything went. I brought my two pups London and Oakley to Ruff cuts, London and oaklee unfortunately had to go through at home grooming and it didn’t always come out as expected lol Anyway !!!! Londons coat is a snow white and oaklee is a mocha brown and with london my husband and I constantly struggled with getting london to that snow white color but ruff cuts ? THEY GOT IT ON THEIR FIRST TRY !!! my dogs came out looking brand new not only was I impressed but so was my husband and he’s so picky lol but seriously oaklee looks so even and just so perfect I’m absolutely in love with everything from the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left!! Thank you ruff cuts !

If you are looking for the grooming service in this area, you don’t have to look any further. Ruff Cuts really takes pride in what they do. My pup has been a pupstomer of Ruff Cute for two years now and Ruff Cuts does an amazing job with his haircut. You really can’t beat her price and the level of affection each pup gets is priceless. Their calendar gets filled really quick. So don’t wait till last minute to book those appointments. The location is great with ample of parking. There are small areas around the shop where you can walk the dogs prior to the appointment and there is a free poop bag station right outside of the store. My pup models for some bandana stores and Liz ( the owner) always makes sure he looks extra dapper. She is simplyamazing. We truly treasure our bond we share with this woman owned small business.

Very pleased with Ruff Cuts grooming service! We have taken our Golden Retriever multiple times now and she always comes home happy, smelling fresh, and looking her best! I will add that my dog is very nervous and they do a great job caring for her while she is there! The front area is filled with cute treats, toys, and accessories if you ever need a quick or special dog treat. The pricing seems very reasonable, and our dog is done in about 2 hours. We truly love Ruff Cuts and would recommend anyone to bring their pet there.

I brought my pup Yogi Berra who is 1/2 mini schnauzer and 1/2 Jack Russell terrier to get a full grooming. Wow! He looked and smelled fantastic! Ill be calling to have him groomed again when hes due in about 6 to 8 weeks!

Overpriced, dishonest, unprofessional and RUDE, called for a quote for an elderly family member and with how rude this place was on the phone I would NEVER recommend a place with such horrible customer service to potential clients!

Wont take my dog (a Maltipoo) anywhere else. Been using them for 3 years, and even though the original owner sold it, an existing employee purchased it - so everything has stayed the same and reliably fantastic. Fairly priced, we get the full groom with blueberry facial and tooth brushing every 6 weeks or so. Our pup always comes home happy and with exactly the cut weve asked for. All the groomers are great, but were big fans of Rachel. That said, the whole staff is always upbeat, clearly love what they do - and it shows in all the happy pooches (and owners!) coming in and out. If youre looking for a groomer - Ruff Cuts is a sure bet!

This dog salon is unbelievable. The salon is very clean and is has a very upscale environment but with amazing prices. The owner is a sweetheart and so are all of the other groomers. They are all very talented and show my dogs so much love. I bring both of my dogs there and every time they leave looking amazing and I receive so many compliments from others. The employees make my dogs and me very happy and my dogs get so excited when I take them there.

I brought my Cocker Spaniel and my Maltese to Ruff Cuts for the first time over the winter. I was able to get an appointment within days of calling. Their hours work well with mine. Both my dogs were groomed the exact way that I had explained to them how I wanted. Usually, my Maltese is not groomed to my liking. I have to re-shape her face once I get her home. The staff is very friendly. The salon itself is clean and inviting. Both my dogs loved the treats they sell at the dog bakery. I had a wonderful experience at Ruff Cuts and my journey to find a dog groomer who grooms my Maltese the way I want is now over! Thank you to all the staff at Ruff Cuts. I would gladly recommend Ruff Cuts to anyone.

Jenn has been cutting my Gizmo for years and she is the best. She takes her time with him knowing she’s dealing with my spoiled and fuzzy dog. His cut always comes out amazing and he even gets a blueberry facial. The added scarf is a bonus and a cute accessory. He always leaves clean, happy and tail wagging as if he just left the spa.The entire staff is pleasant and professional. They make sure all fur babies are up to date with shots before coming in which is important. And you can even purchase home made treats for you fur baby. I highly recommend ruff cuts and only take my Gizmo here.

Jen is wonderful. She has been taking care of our Maxy for the past 5 years. Maxy is an important part of our family and it is important the way she is treated. Jen treats her like family. I love Ruff Cuts, its the only place I bring my dogs even after moving to Connecticut. One of my dogs is a handful to say the least and Jen manages to get his nails. Shes literally the only one who can groom him and she does an amazing job each time. I really recommend this place if youre looking for a good, reputable groomer.

Very knowledgeable staff, truly cares about the wellbeing of your dog from grooming to their overall health. My dogs always look great when I pick them up! They even offer reminder calls so I don’t forget to make an appointment. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!

Average job, but not worth the prices they charge. I know minimal wage went up but not nearly the amount of the price increases. I realize businesses charge for debit and credit card payments but 3.99 is alot. There are alot of groomers in the area so shop around and Im sure youll find a good balance and job quality. We did!

Jen at Ruff Cuts is amazing with our dog Ellie! Ellie has Addisons disease and experiences tons of anxiety in the car, at the vet and on the way to the groomer. Jen always greets her at the door and Ellie is always so excited to see her! We have both a Labradoodle and a Jack Russell and weve always gotten such great service -- the dogs always look like they just came from a spa!! We wouldnt go anywhere else!

I bring my very special black lab mix to Ruff Cuts. He is very nervous and doesnt like a lot of people, however all the girls take great care of him and he loves his baths! From the owner, to reception, to the bathers and groomers- Ruff cuts is professional, prompt and knowledgeable. Liz the owner loves animals and really enjoys what she does. The salon is in a convenient location with amble parking and grass to walk and let your dog do their thing. Book your next appointment soon as they book up fast. You wont be disappointed. Although my German Shepherd dog is starting to get older now, hes nine, he has enjoyed his visits to your salon very much.As to the bot thats been designated Gina, sounds to me like a consortium of nearby jealous groomers has decided to try to do a hit on you via Google reviews.This composite artificial creation designated Gina was obviously scrummed, brainstormed and deployed by a bunch of bored IT developers in Bangalore, at the behest of your rivals. They must have coughed up a pretty penny to pay for the technology, too. But it was money poorly spent. I guess you get what you pay for, and thats how Gina came into being....The so-called Gina has a lot of flaws in her code . Theyve programmed this bot to be way too reactive and caustic in its syntactical deliveries. They need to go back to the drawing board if theyre planning to continue creating these kinds of flawed bits of AI. If I could speak to those who ordered her creation, I would suggest that they find some genuine American or German developers, who are much more adept at creating effective and convincing liars for these review posts. We have been taking Chloe to Ruff Cuts for 8 years! Liz is kind and gentle and Chloe always looks and smells amazing! The shop is meticulously clean and the staff are always welcoming! Highly recommend.

I started using them with my Jazzy and she always came out awesome. She was always happy after her grooming . Now I use them to cut the nails of Pixie and Belldandy, they are extremely helpful with my Pixie. The most important thing is that both my dogs are always more happy after their been there. Pixie loves their cookies.

Top notch in every way. I have been taking my cockapoo, Mario, there for years. They are always taking excellent care of him. He looks absolutely stunning every time they groom him. He adores them too and is so happy when I drop him off there. I would highly recommend them to anyone! I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Hello Ruff Cuts!My partner and I moved here a year ago and we are so lucky to have found you for our mini schnauzer (Jack). He’s your typical type where he thinks he’s a lab and plays hard in the yard every day. His hair is always coming in with some sort of crazy in it from the yard, but every time I give to you to fix him up he comes out like a dapper little man. Thank you for helping tame our little beast’s hair!Also thank you for doing a great job with our lab when we bring in for a fur blowout and nail cutting. If I did it, it would be an 8 hour wrestling matching with me hobbling to victory. Somehow when I pick him up from you his is always calm, smelling great and no more clicking while he walks on our floors.Thank you,Charlie and Mat

I just moved to the area and walked into inquire about services for my 12-year-old Shihpoo. A bored-looking young woman in the front told me that for safety reasons they will not groom dogs older than 10. In my 50 years of owning dogs I have never heard of such a thing. I tried to send a message through the website to speak to the owner to understand if this is truly their policy and never received a response back.I hope you all read her response. Its a pattern with Liz. Every critical review posted results in an attack on the person with name-calling and a lecture about why theyre wrong. Im disgusting? You dont even know me and your receptionist wasnt running around. She didnt even look up when I entered and stood in front of her desk.I dont know who peed in your Cheerios this morning or how you stay in business with your generally nasty attitude.Your pattern is obvious, Liz. Youre a keyboard cowboy and hide behind your electronic responses knocking people who rate your business poorly. I hope that all prospective customers are reading the responses and seeing the real you. Im rude? Whos the pot calling the kettle black? Been going here for years. Love them they always greet my dog, Mason like hes one of their own. And they do an awesome job. The entire staff is friendly and professiinal..wont go anywhere else

I really wanted to give zero star but that was not an option. Don’t take you dog here if you care about your dog.The owner has herself a bunch of poodles ( I think 3) which is why I decided to come here. All her dogs her have a Dutch hair cut even though There are about 40 poodle styles to choose from. They all look the same. If you look at her Facebook page, every poodle that steps foot in her shop comes out looking like her dogs with the Dutch cut which I dislike very much. In December 2018, I sent in my poodle and my yorkie, both with pictures of what I wanted then to look like. Both styles having long top knot. I could not believe my eyes! I couldn’t recognize them. They looked like different dogs. They chopped off their top knots even though it was requested not to. In addition,They forgot to do my female yorkie sanitary area!The owner apologized and she admitted their mistake and she offered a free shampo. I explained that I like to keep both my dogs in pony tails and I asked to please not cut thier top knot again . I decided to give them a third chance. ( yes third) They messed up one time before this one, but I don’t even want to go there.This past Friday, I sent my poodle again with two photos; one of the body and one of the head. I couldn’t believe that after letting regrow his top knot for almost six months, not only did she chop off all the hair, but she left him looking like her dogs but she gave him a hot spot the size of a quarter. My vet confirmed that he was burned and cut by the groomer. He had just been at the vet office the day before he went for grooming and he did not have anything on his skin. I take pride in brushing my dogs every day so my dogs do not have any mats so there was no reason to cut and burn him. There is no excuse for what she did to my dog. They are cruel and rough with the animals that they treat. The owner also had the audacity to say that my complaints and reviews about my dog’s hair cut was an attempt to get a free service. My review is to inform the general public about their service, so that another person and their beloved pet can avoid an awful experience.Now I understand why my puppies would start shaking the moment we entereed this place. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!

This place used to be great. The last two times I went they charged me for services they didnt perform (ear cleaning and nail trimming).Regarding your response - I am not a liar. The services mentioned above were not performed and I was charged in full. But thank you for the free blueberry facial.

Appointment for a nail trimming and bath - was told 2 hours. Upon returning he was not finished and his nails hadnt been cut. They told me there wasnt time and did not cut them.

If I could have given you 0 stars I would have, this place is dishonest and not trust worthy at all. They took my dog in, we got a price quoted and then when we picked her up her price more then doubled. I called in because I felt this was an unfair tactic to do business and very dishonest as a whole. The lady on the phone was extremely rude, telling me I have no clue what it takes to do this stuff, and also claimed my dog was a 10 on a scale from 1-10 on how bad she looked. That is ridiculous as we are always brushing our dog, and taking care of on a regular bases. I explained that when you gave her a price that should of been honored which was 60 dollars, she charged my fiance 110. After a long conversations and myself feeling belittled by her remarks, and demeaning tone I thought to myself that this lady will not budge and shows that her true colors of the business is about lying to customers, over charging them, and telling the customer that they are wrong, when the entire thing was based on what she told us. I am going to chalk this up as a loss of 50 dollars to us, and I hope that this review helps you not make the same mistake we have. Please at all cost do not go here, they will charge you more afterwards! The lady even on the phone told me we should of been charged triple! What a horrible experience!
