They are amazing there. When we’re going there, it’s obviously a high stress time, bringing in a beloved pet for some calamity. The staff that greets us is always so kind, and Dr Moira Norris is top notch! I know my babies are in the best of hands while we are there.

I had to take my bunny Willow to the vet and I am so glad I chose Jeffersonville! The staff were kind, courteous, and educated on my pet’s needs! When I walked in the office it was clean and smelled nice which isn’t common with small town animal hospitals! I will be recommending this office to everyone from here on out!

Very responsive, and got my dog in right away for a non emergency.They have apps to help you order supplies and make appointments. Give you paperwork right away to give insurance companies. Very clean and presentable facility. My Pup is excited to go every time!

If they think you should see a specialist such as an eye surgeon or oncologist they will let you know, so no guessing.Not only are they fantastic at what they do, but these are the kind of women you would want to be your friends and neighbors.I wish they took human patients. My soon to be 11 year old Australian Shepherd has been going to Jeffersonville Animal Hospital for several years and I’ve always been happy with his treatment there. In December, when I brought up a concern about some arthritis pain in his back leg that was making it difficult for him to climb stairs, I was given a lot of treatment options. Based on a really informative discussion with his veterinarian, I chose monthly Librela injections to treat his pain. The difference over the past few months has been astounding. My dog is now running up and down the stairs several times a day. We are back to hiking several miles in the woods every week. Hes more playful with other dogs and is able to jump in and out of the car with no pain. I’m happy Jeffersonville Animal Hospital presented me with this option and am so happy my dog is no longer in pain.

My vets for 4 dogs over past 20+ yrs. Supremely satisfied in the level of care and compassion from puppy to end stages. Always responsive in office but also to phone inquiries and emails when can’t immediately come in for a visit. Support staff are top notch and caring.

Jeffersonville Animal hospital staff are always very knowledgeable, friendly, kind and compassionate. Dr Norris always takes the time to answer any questions you have and throughly looks over your animal.I have brought my animals there for the past 21 yrs and there is no one else I would trust, from surgeries to just a regular visit. Not to mention when your animal is sick or had surgery they always call to check up on them.They are also very affordable and arent like some vets out there who are in it for the money! Very disappointed with Jeffersonville Animal Hospital. My pet was misdiagnosed with allergies and given unnecessary long-term medication. A second vet quickly resolved the issue with a simple treatment. This misdiagnosis caused unnecessary suffering for my pet and stress for me. Caution to others: consider getting a second opinion.

I really like the animal hospital. I think Ive seen most of the vets and they are all great. Dr Schwalb is my favorite tho. Very calm easy going manner and super helpful. I go to a vet in the city and JAH is way better, not at all pushy like NYC and way cheaper too.Seen Dr Norris a few times now she really is so nice and helpful. They are a super busy practice now with one vet retired but they do their best to fit you in if they can*Updated * I still the same :) They really are a great veterinary. All the staff are so nice. Never rip you off like city vets have in the past.*Updated yep still the same. Unfortunately they are desperate for new vets as they keep retiring lol but they still manage to get us in.

The doctors and the staff at the Jeffersonville Animal Hospital are always courteous and they are caring and compasionate with my pet. They are always punctual with the apointments and the cost is reasonable.

Absolutely wonderful veterinary clinic! We are summer residents and were absolutely blown away by the kindness and compassion shown by the staff to our sick dachshund. Even though she was not a regular patient, they got her in right away, treated her, and then the doctor phoned us that night to see how she was doing. I simply cannot say enough good things about this animal hospital. Thank you, Dr Schwalb and staff!!

I moved further away and still make the hour drive. Great place. The Drs are both smart and caring. Staff are all friendly and great bed side manners. Facility is always clean. I absolutely wont switch vets and love Jeffersonville Animal Hospital.

NO, NO, NO! I love the hospital and the staff, theyre very caring for my pet but the new veterinarian Lama, is more about selling a product than caring for your pet! Before even looking at my pet or taking him out of his carrier she was already recommending hundreds of dollars of pain medications! She ended up charging me $570 for what Id later found myself to be FLEAS! Then she called to follow up and said his blood was on the low end of normal but he could use a blood transfusion! So in the end, I feel that Id gotten ripped off. I really hope that veterinary colleges are not teaching and normalizing this sort of behavior. My advice to anybody considering using this business is to use one of the older doctors AND also to educate yourself on what the doctor wants to do with your pet, and make your own decisions; instead of blindly trusting that your doctor is giving you correct and proper advice.

My dog and 5 cats were among Dr. Schwalbs first patients in the mid 1990s. Today I had the most disturbing experience at Jeffersonville Animal Hospital. Our little dog was doused with chemical fragrance after a routine procedure which hes had done there numerous times. Sadly I am highly allergic to these types of chemicals which has resulted in needing to bathe the dog several times and for me to suffer greatly. Clearly Ricky is not returning to this facility

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dr. Norris and Dr. Schwab are excellent veterinarians. I never want to take my animals anywhere else. Let me list the reasons I absolutely love this office: 1. Great communication. Always happy to explain or answer questions. 2. They really care about your pets and personalize care to their needs. Always gentle and positive. 3. Friendly and considerate staff. 4. The office and exam rooms are always bright, clean, and ready when we arrive. 5. Very reasonable pricing as well as trying home remedies before jumping into expensive medications. (I was told at another vet that my dog, Max, needed custom antibiotics created from an ear culture to treat his reoccurring ear infections and that it would cost thousands before he was cured. I took him here for a second opinion and Dr. Norris said he had allergies, give him an antihistamine and he will be fine. After almost 2 years of vet visits, all the antibiotics and drops, and home being in constant discomfort... he just needed a benadryl.) He was a happy, energetic boy again no less than 3 days later. Ive taken all my animals there ever since and recommend them to everyone.

I’ve been bringing my dog since she was a puppy (2 1/2 years) to Dr. Norris. My dog has very bad allergies including many types of foods. It’s been a challenge but their staff and the vets have been there for us every step of the way. I get phone calls and emails returned promptly and they explain everything very clearly to me.They are always able to squeeze me in if I need an appointment the same day.I now have a very happy, active and healthy dog who receives allergy shots. No more itching, missing hair, rashes, vomiting or diarrhea.They offer dental cleaning for dogs so that will be my next appoint. Not very many vets in the area offer dental services so this is an added bonus.

The staff and doctors are excellent, they have always taken the time to answer any questions I have and offer sound advice about my pets. When my dog passed a few months ago they tried everything to help him and were so kind and compassionate with myself and my family when it was time to let him go. I will never take my pets anywhere else, I have seen several different vets in the area but they are by far the best.

Our older dog recently had surgery to have a few lumps removed. My mother was terribly worried but all went well thankfully. This is BY FAR the BEST vet hospital in Sullivan County. The staff is friendly, patient and just kind hearted all around. All the Dr.s there are truly caring and their number one concern is the best for your pet. They went above and beyond what we were hoping for our dog. Weve been to a few other vets before discovering them and were definitely staying with this group. 1,000 %

We had to bring our boys vacanations up to date. Every aspect of of our visit from the safety of everyone to the truly remarkable ability to treat my difficult boys. A through exam followed by compassion while treating my boys. Who have not been around any people for over a year and a half.

My dog step on a yellow jacket and subsequently passed out and stopped breathing, I shoved a benedryl down her throat and raced her there. I have never been there before. They took her right in and were as pleasant and professional as you could ask for. 20 min later my dog came back out like nothing had happened. The bill was under $100 bucks. I would highly recommend them

I would highly recommend Jeffersonville Animal Hospital. On three occasions when my dog has been ill, I have been impressed with the lengths to which both Drs. Schwalb and Norris have gone to make sure my dear pet was thoroughly evaluated, and to communicate test results quickly and with a personal, caring touch. I have also received follow-up calls that were unexpected and very appreciated. I had been with a different vet, and felt that previous place to be very revenue driven. Jeffersonville Animal Hospital has a very professional facility, but it also feels that animal welfare is their top priority.

We had to take our pitbull/bulldog mix Betty Boop here for an emergency visit when we were on vacation and her paw swelled.They were very accommodating and their COVID procedures were very professional. Betty Boop is fine and we are glad that Jefferson Animal Hospital was so professional.

My family have been taking our pets here for over 20 years. The staff always takes any if my concerns seriously, treats my pets gently and thoroughly, and are always so friendly and helpful!

The personnel and the one veterinarian, Dr. Norris, were the best. There were hidden costs not disclosed prior to having my beloved pet euthanized. Schwab, the owner, who I never met, never saw, would not relent in his seriously over-inflated costs of killing my pet without an ounce of empathy. Highly NOT recommend. Its a business like so many others. The bottom line is the price, not the cost. It didnt cost 98 dollars to euthanize my pet, yet they would not work with us.This was on top of many months of medications purchased through their also over-inflated pharmacy, regular visits, and an $80 cremation fee! No compassion. Not good in a veterinary practice! Were never going back, which is a shame since we three more rescue cats, one of whom they euthanized after very expensive X-rays. The remainder is now three, one of whom has feline AIDS, the second, an eye infection, and the third is still too young to realize any medical issues at present, TG. Save your money! Luann Steele in LM is the best, but she does have some limitations in terms of equipment such as X-rays.

I find them dishonest when it comes to pricing they give you an estimate but your charges are always considerably higher, so I wonder what is the point of an estimate?

Been using Jeff Animal Hospital for years and have always appreciated the dedication and care, but never as much so as recently whey Dr. Schwalb, Dr. Norris and the whole staff sprang into action to save the life of a cat I had rescued after her incision broke. That they were able to save her life is remarkable.

Well I brought my cat there because he was spot-peeing all around the house. He is fixed and does not spray. Brought him in as an emergency they took him (Buster) right in! Did not charge! Cant go in cuz of the virus right now, was very worried about him for the whole day. Came back he had 3 different prescriptions and every since has been his same ol self ☺. He is 11 1/2 years old, so it is very worrisome. They took great care of him, he did not come back smelling like pee (like other vets) and has been going in the litter box since. He had crystals forming. Now everything is good. And the bill was only $263. Was very very happy with that, couldve been expensive. Try this place!

My fur babies are my children. I live in service to three dogs and two cats. so great veterinary care is paramount in our household. i am 100% satisfied with jeffersonville animal hospital. it is a very nice facility staffed with the most courteous and knowledgable crew. it cant be easy to be a vet, partly because the humans can be so very anxious. but the doctors here are totally capable and reassuring. most importantly, my pets seem comfortable here, and are obviously well cared for. im so lucky this awesome facility is near my home.
