Dog Days and Cat Nights

This is the only place in the neighborhood allowing self service for dog baths and I really appreciate them for this. They provide shampoo and towels but I usually bring my own.My dog really doesn’t like baths so it’s easier to bring her here than try at home.

Brought my family’s newly adopted kitten for a bath and the service here was exceptional. As soon as you walk in until you leave. They truly care about the animals and the customers. I will be returning for grooming and to buy my supplies from there and support the neighborhood family owned business.

Take my furry baby there to get his nails cute. There so good with him love taking him here. Very professional and friendly.

The owner is super nice, the place looks clean. My dog stayed boarded there for 3 days. He was well taken care of. There are pet food here as well as treats leashes and other pet items. They also do grooming, havent had the chance to do that yet since the weather has been wet.

Found this place on google and came highly recommended by a dog groomer in queens.I was having trouble finding a cat groomer to give my little guy a flea bath.This place was great! They were friendly, fast, fairly priced and even took pictures of my cat during his dry time for me to see and sent them to me when I requested them for memories.The woman at the desk (forgot to ask her name) helped me put together my new carrier as well! Very friendly and understanding!Will be back for a bath in the future!Thanks guys!

My entire family went to celebrate my sons wedding in Portugal and I was nervous to leave my puppie, Becker for 7 days in just any day care. I could not be more happy for the excellent care they took my pet. Joe and his team are very friendly and even send me pics and a video of my little one. And, he did an excellent job with his grooming while I was away. Of course, I will go back for his service and recommend to anyone looking for a place like Joes Dog Days and Cat Nights!Thanks so much Joe!!!!

They did an amazingly fast and efficient job of clipping a very wild Kittys claws. No waiting time. Walk in and walk out. And so inexpensive!!I deducted one star because it was upsetting for the kitty to hear all the barking dogs. It is a pet hotel. I think we arrived at play time! But I have to say they are super experienced and great at what they do.

I used this place to board our cat over the weekend multiple times, and so far, the service was good. Our cat returned to us, was in good health and clean.

I love this place! If you looking out for your pet to be happy and comfortable for daycare or boarding this is the place. Grooming appointments are flexible and do an amazing job cleaning your pet. My dog is big and strong also very energetic. Not once did they ever complain about taking care of Leo or refusing any service. Leo loves this place and will keep coming here for the lovely services. Thank you Joe for doing a great job with Leo and the rest of the team.

We took our doggy Sparky to Dog days and Cat Nights yesterday for much needed grooming. Our regular shop of 13 years went out of business and we were looking for a groomer. We are so Happy we found this shop. The groomer Joe did a wonderful job with grooming our nervous Doggy. He also made us feel comfortable. Highly recommend this shop ! We are definitely coming back ! Even though its a Saturday they were able to take walk-ins for nail trimming. I was able to see them taking care of my dog and he was very calm through the whole process. They also carry his brand of dog food at a lower price than Chewy. We were done in less than 15 minutes. Very friendly staff as well. Happy to support this local business!

I had to board my 2 year old border terrier for the first time and was quite nervous about the whole thing since he’s an epileptic dog with special needs. Joe was very accommodating and reassuring during his stay with updates via phone and text. My dog was so well cared for and was the same happy pup when I picked him up 4 nights later. Any dog owner who is apprehensive about leaving their fur baby overnight should know that dog days is a home away from home. They offered grooming services as well so my dog was squeaky clean when he came home. Thank you Joe, Justin, and the entire team!

We just brought our dog home from Dog Days and Cat Nights and later found blood all over our home. Whoever clipped her nails cut right into the quick and the cut is so deep they probably hit the nerve. Furthermore when we picked up our little two year old 17 pound Westie, the person transferring her to us had the nerve to say shes impossible - yet the fool never bandaged her paw nor notified us and thus exposed her to infection. In addition, since we were never notified we now have blood stains everywhere - furniture, carpet, clothing - and the wound must have opened once she was running around. The person doing the clipping was clearly incompetent and / or poorly supervised!!!

Great👍 Spot to take your fur babies for grooming. I had a very good experience here, they did a nice job on my black and white kitty, she looked nice and shiny afterwards. The staff and owner were very courteous to me. Give them a go if your looking to groom your dog or cat and plus they also do boarding another plus☺.

Dan (the owner) is truly one of a kind. He has gone above and beyond for my dog on more than one occasion. We boarded our dog with him and my dog didn’t want to leave because he was in such good hands. I am so grateful to Dan and his staff for treating my dog as if he were their own. I highly recommend this place whether you’re in the neighborhood or not. The business definitely has a family mentality.

If you want your pet gets sick go to this place. This is the worst place for pets, cats and dogs are in the same room. My pet was there for 3 days and it lost weight, the next day I had to go to the vet because it had diarrhea and fever, I don’t understand how this place has a license. I don’t recommended this place to any person. Think twice before going there.

Used them for the first time today for grooming -- flexible scheduling, courteous staff, and my doggies came out great! I particularly love when my dogs dont have to wait for like, 6 other dogs to get groomed before its their turn. Dog Days scheduled us so that they would not have to wait. Also reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Joe did a fantastic job with my dog! He his very quiet, kind and pleasant! He really cares about all of the animals in his store. They charge a fair price for all of the services provided. Dog Days and Cat Nights has special piped in music. All of the dogs are walked several times a day. I definitely want to bring my dog back to Dog Days and Cat Nights!!!

They do a really good job of taking care of pets! I dropped my cat Mateo off here and I know he is in good hands. Youll know that your furry friend will be safe and sound here for sure. Joe is great and helpful. There is typically space, even for same-day drop off. They walk the dogs three times a day, too! Im happy to have such a good space for my cat Mateo and other pets like him!

My cat came home looking amazing. The staff is always so friendly and professional they call you and update you as they go along. 10/10 will come again.

This place is very very reasonably priced for NYC and the queens area. My Persian cat Minou Mimi had a bath and lion cut and it was well done- she looked like a super cute white lion when I came to collect her! The owner was super nice and You can tell he loves animals and is very gentle with them. So much so apparently she rolled over during the cut and was 100 percent compliant- she usually hisses and bites when her cat mommy and daddy do the job!

Took my puppy a poodle to get grooming there for the first time. When I pick him up and got him home I notices he was shaking him head a lot. Being it was his first cut I dont pay mind till the next morning he kept on and I went to check his ears it ears he has a lot of blood and red in both ears. I went to the the pet shop bought ear drop. I called the grooming to let them know and the first time they said we didnt give him a ear infection. I wasnt looking for no hand out I just wanted to let them know they let a lot of water go in his ear when they bath him and that what cause the ear infection. At last apology would of been nice and it wouldnt happen again but no they keep saying they didnt do it. I know how my dog when in. He was perfectly fine. He has the issue as soon as he came home. Now I have a vet bill plus what I paid for the grooming and ear drop. Never again so rude.

Joe and the team truly go above and beyond to ensure happy and healthy pets (and owners). I don’t know what I would do without their boarding services (have a special needs cat and travel a good bit for work - he always comes home happy and in great health )

We have been taking our labrador and westie to Dog Days and Cat Nights for periodic boarding for years, and theyve been excellent. But I particularly want to sing praises to Joe and his team on their grooming of our westie, who is now 16.5 years old with blindness, loss of hearing and body shakes. They took excellent care and attentiveness to his physical and emotional wellbeing, all while giving him an excellent summer grooming. This is a fantastic small business, thank you!

Phenomenal owner and store!! Our dog ran away and was found by a friend of the owner. The owner opened his store on a Sunday night just to hold our dog for us to get there and bring her home. Forever grateful for these amazing people.

I have been taking my cats to get lion cuts here for a couple years now. I used to live in the area and then moved to Brooklyn and still go because I really like them and the cuts are always good for the price. Highly recommend.

The person that answers the phone needs a better & more welcoming attitude. I would not spend my money here when someone is answering like they don’t want to service you. Like are you paying me or am I paying you ! Imagine me leaving my dog to get groomed or overnight care with someone that sounds so awful and displeasing on the phone, I could only assume and imagine how my dog would get treated. No thank you !

My cat gets very aggressive when its time to clip his nails - even while sedated. The groomers were not afraid to handle him and were quick and gentle. Will definitely return.

Joseph is an amazing and caring pet groomer. He is the only pet groomer I have went to without issues. Other groomers give your cat mites and bugs. DDCN is clean, and they are nice and caring towards your pet. Highly recommend!

I have taken my dog, Milo, here to be groomed several times. Milo can be finicky but he is always happy whenever I pick him up. Joe has a way with animals and I trust him to care for Milo. Ive referred other pet parents to Doggie days and I highly recommend them.

Very unsatisfied. THEY SHAVED MY DOG TO THE SKIN WITHOUT MY PERMISSION .... then upon calling they said my puppy was matted... but if hes matted all they had to do was call me and let me know this and I would have told them to just trim him down. The groomer is very unprofessional..

When heading out of town my German Shepherd stays with them all the town. The prices are reasonable n location convenient. Even the price of his dog food n supplies n fairly low. I hope to remain a constantly customer.

Joe is great with our dog and he really shows care to all the animals that stay with him. He’s also a great groomer and this is the only place we take out dog to. We’re so thankful to him!

I came here a long time ago. Then i started grooming my Chihuahua my self To save money. It took me forever to groom him. So i am back to useing them. They did just a great job on my long hair Chihuahua. Will be back in a couple on months. 👍

A place where they care and treat any animal that walks through the door like their own. The store is well stocked with good products and if they do not have something, they order it. Its convenient and the owner Joe is an amazing person who is always ready to help. He contributes to community events like the annual Riverfund Hunger drive and many others neighborhood causes.A special place in kew Gardens.

My dog, a cardigan corgi named El Tosco, boards with Joe when Im going out of town. He has so much fun there, and is so well treated, that the little jerk doesnt even say goodbye to me when I drop him off!! My dog looked good at first, but when we got he home i tool a closer look and hair uneven, matts left in his face, long spots of hair left on his chest. 👎

Had a family emergency over 4th of July weekend and had to board our two dogs for the first time ever. One of ours is terrified of loud noises and we had just moved to the city, the other can be overly protective of her. While we were worried about them, Joe did a phenomenal job!! Both dogs had a great time for the week!! While we hope to not have to board them for a week again, if we ever have to board them, this will be the place!!

Phenomenal animal boarding facility!!! Joe and his team warmly treat your for legged family member like one of their family. Had to board our dog for over 3 weeks and she was returned to us clean, happy and healthy with zero issues. We learned that Joe personally walks every dog who gets boarded there one by one, daily, multiple times a day. 24/7 care is given and he also carries every kind of food, supply, and treat you can imagine for our pets. If he doesnt carry it he is also happy to order it for you!Cannot recommend him and his place enough!

Been going to this place since they were only charging people 50$ per cat for a lion cut, now I guess they’re trying to keep up with the prices as all the other grooming stores. Aside Fromm the 5 cats that I used to bring in to get groomed I had referred 4 other people to this place that are active customers. When I left a message with a girl to ask her about the owner of the store to give me a call back she gave me the generic “yeah he’s around I’ll give him the message” , I still have yet to get a call back. I guess this place only cares about your money instead of customer satisfaction , I will be looking for a new place and taking those referrals with me as well.
