Grooming Tails

The Grooming Tails Staff are excellent. They are professional, highly skilled and most importantly, very kind to both their four and two legged clientele. I recently took my little Yorkshire Terrier, Otto, (11 years old) to them for a nail trim, and although he was terribly frightened of the experience, they handled him with consummate skill and compassion.They also, despite their very busy schedule, found us an appointment time (and we were a first time client) that worked out well for all.I am delighted to have found them, and I highly recommend them for all grooming services.

Justin was awesome. He handled my golden retriever with such care. He made sure i was fully satisfied with the groom. My boy was came out looking very handsome and all smiles! Would definitely recommend!

After 6 years, our groomer closed down and we had to find a new groomer. Today we tried Grooming Tails as their reviews were excellent and we are so glad we did! Justin was caring, polite, professional, paid attention to details we asked for and absolutely took great care of our little one. I would highly recommend their service if you are looking for a new groomer.

Amazing team. They took my little rescue Pom Haribo. He’s a puppy and is feisty but they were understanding and accommodating. We hope to have many haircuts at this wonderful place. As you can see in the before picture, he has some really deep mattes that we couldn’t comb out without hurting him but the team was super helpful in making our little BoBo as comfy as possible.

As a new cat mom I was really nervous about getting my baby groomed for the first time, and he desperately needed his nails cut and a bath. Grooming tails was so friendly and sweet, and they helped ease my anxiety as well as my fur baby’s. I was so pleased with the service. 10/10 recommend!!

My easily distracted, 100 lbs Labrador absolutely loves going here. He gets excited the moment I park in front! They spoil him rotten, he is meticulously groomed and smells amazing afterwards. I am very observant on the cleanliness of my baby, his teeth, paws, ears, coat all are spotless and nails trimmed!! Weve followed Alex and has been my babys groomer for years! I brought my 10yr old Yorkie here for the first time today on the recommendation of Darlin and I’m so happy I did. The salon is clean, and the staff are professional, friendly, and passionate about what they do. It was a great experience and my baby looked amazing! I would recommend this salon to everyone.

I brought my 13 year old Jack Russel Terrier Layla here for a groom and could not be happier. The place is clean and not crowded with a million other dogs the way other places are. Her cut came out adorable. Alex is professional, caring and careful. Would recommend 1000000%.

We recently brought our 15 year old Schnoodle named Taz to Grooming Tails Salon. Its on a main road and is so easy to get to. The space is intimate, clean and very pet friendly. We were recommended by Darlin and were so happy. Shes amazing.Taz is so comfortable with Darlin and shes always so sweet and attentive with him. We would recommend this grooming salon to anyone. The customer and pet care is top notch.

Alex is a very thorough groomer who treated our dog like his own. he was gentle while also giving a top notch groom! Our dog had a decent amount of knots and matts but Alex was careful not to shave him down. Overall highly recommend!

Love Grooming Tails! I’ve brought my very hairy shepherd mix here a bunch, and Nicole and Alex have both worked with her. The results have been awesome, whether a deshed or full groom, and even though my girl is not the easiest client (as a very vocal and sensitive former street dog)! The shop is small, so there are never too many dogs at once and no hanging out in a crate forever waiting their turn. Finally, there are two gates blocking entrances, so I feel certain my dog is safely contained while at her appointment. Thanks!

Had a wonderful experience! After a bad experience with another grooming spot I did tons of research to find the best in the area for my fur baby Buffy.All the 5 star reviews are spot on. Alex was extremely nice and explained everything well and made me feel comfortable with my dogs first real grooming experience. The Shop is clean and private and my dog who can sometimes have a bit of anxiety in new places was extremely comfortable.Buffy came out looking amazing with a smile on her face. I can’t see myself ever bringing my dog anywhere else. Her coat, nails and teeth all came out perfect!Thank you so much Alex!

It’s almost impossible to find a groomer that’s willing to work with my 3year old, 120lb Rottie but Nicole was so amazing! She was so sweet to my boy. He’s literally a big baby bear and he was so good with her. She took very good care of him. He looked & smelled amazing afterwards. I’m so happy I found this gem.

Justin’s attention to detail is phenomenal. Came in for a light trim and made my pup look handsome as ever. Will be coming back in the future- my Aussie has made a barber friend for life 🙌🏽

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than the one we had with Alexander. He treated cookie like if it were her own and she definitely felt the love that was shown to her. We will never be going to any other groomer, Grooming Tails will forever be our place.

Wonderful Service Linda was great and so patient with my Pup. She took her time, taught me a bunch of stuff and gave great advice that was really helpful. Will be going again!

Top rate grooming! My 12 yr old miniature poodle loved it as he wasnt cranky with the groomer. This was his first time there and he was calm. The groomer, Darlin, was thorough and asked a lot of questions to make sure she understood what I wanted. My boy was ready to be picked up within 2 hrs. He came out looking so handsome. This is the only place I will take him now.

Fantastic groomer, best in town!! My jack Russell was shedding everywhere (pre-winter) and they were able to brush it all out, it’s like magic! He even smells amazing 36 hours out and got a super cute bandana.They were kind, professional, very quick, and even talked with me afterwards about various de-shedding methods for short hair dogs. I learned so much and got great management tips. Can’t wait to come back!!

I brought my dog Gizmo to get groomed and he is always taken care of by the best Darlin. I’m so surprised on how he lets her brush his teeth so well. The space is clean and dog friendly. I just moved in the area and I was looking for the best groomer I can find for my mini husky. I came across Alexander’s raving reviews and was blown away. The reviews are on point! Alex is the best groomer! I couldn’t be happier and my pup agrees. Alex is so sweet and gentle while also being so amazing at his craft. Had a great experience, Unlike most groomers I made an appointment that was honored and Nicole finished on time and gave me a heads up before she completed so I could be there when he was ready.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while, we LOVED Nicole at Grooming Tails she took care of our puppy Ranger who is a tiny little handful and she did it with such love and care. His first visit she let me stay and hang out while it was being done. He was done so quickly and she was so patient when he got overly excited/anxious. And to add to it he looked adorable! He is toy doodle of some kind and I’m not personally a huge fan of over froofy looking “poodle cuts” but he looked like a little teddy bear at the end. He was absolutely perfect. I totally took for granted how amazing she was because we recently moved down South and finding a groomer that can even match her is…….. not easy. So, for all my mamaroneck residents… go! She is amazing! We love her and we come up to visit our families I fully intend on bringing him in. Don’t forget to tip! she deserves it!

I am thrilled to have found Nicole at Grooming Tails! My two pups and I were warmly greeted and welcomed as soon as we walked in. This isnt the kind of place where you drop your dog off in the morning and they are crated all day - it is more of a one dog at a time by appointment kind of experience. Nicole invited me to stay during the grooming so that the pup that wasnt getting worked on didnt have to be in a crate at all. So much less stressful for all of us! Nicole did a GREAT JOB with the grooming and they looked amazing afterwards. Exactly what I was looking for - highly recommend!

Alex is great!Max had a very bad experience with his previous groomer, who hurt him by cutting his back. We had to take him to the doctor to make sure it was nothing serious.We moved to Mamaroneck a year ago and it was difficult to make the decision to take Max with a new groomer.In our search we found Alex who is patient and loving with Max, we love his work and honestly the price is fair.We are so happy we found Alex!We know that Max issafe, love and good taken care of now.
