Our 7 month old Aussiedoodle Ollie has finished his Great Off Leash Dog training and is now officially a GOLDOG :) Working with Brad was great. Very responsive and great to work with, not to mention Ollie just loves him! Brad also keeps in touch all day sending pictures and videos of your dogs progress, which is awesome!! But the best part about this program is..... We can walk our dog by our side past other dogs, ducks and people and he doesnt even blink an eye just keeps on moving. What a great experience!! If you would like a well trained dog that listens and stays by your side, regardless of a squirrel, then I Highly recommend you call Brad Cranston:)

Hello Brad,I wanted to reach out and inform you that we have continued to work with Lottie as instructed reinforcing all your training methods. lottie has exceeded all our expectations. lottie now consistency obeys all our commands: heel, stay, come, sit, off, place, and especially looks forward to the “Great” break out release. Today, we walked through Grafton State Park, off leash, and successfully navigated through crowds of people, dogs, bikers, with her confidently and calmly walking by my side with taking an occasional swim. Lottie now has the freedom to basically go off leash wherever we go. What a joy for Lottie and us. Just wanted to say your method works and Lottie is proof of concept. Thanks again, Charlie Testo.
My wife and I worked with Brad training our 1 year old English lab, Bourbon. Brad was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to our concerns. His flexibility to working with our busy schedule was more then we could ask for. We had a great time learning how to enjoy our pup off leash! Would recommend Brad to anyone looking for the freedom of “off leash” training. It truly takes you and your dog to another level.
If there were more stars I would give them! Brad did an outstanding job with our 20 month old Doberman, Kaiser. I had been to several other trainers using traditional methods none of which were effective. We had all but given up, then saw a video of a friends puppy Brad trained and thought wed give it one more shot! I loved the idea of Brad taking Kaiser vs us going to classes for weeks then trying to find the time (none of which we have) to then work on the tools learned in class. Not only were the classes inconvenient (driving, timing, etc) but the amount of actual time we received after the trainer went around the room to each dog and owner was minimal. We also tried private lessons to no avail. So without hesitation we signed Brad up to the challenge. In 10 days Kaiser came back to us as his loving self, but better. I tell people Brad fixed him... For the first time in a year and a half I can cook in the kitchen without him butting in or stealing food the second I turn my head. I can leave my home without barricading doors (yes, Kaiser can open doors) and I actually left a snack bag on the counter and it was still there 3 hours later. My stress level has gone way down and the time it would normally take to reproof the house before leaving the house has gone down to a brief sweep.... NONE of this was possible and we are not totally incapable people. I have had dogs my whole life. I trained horses when I was younger. Kaiser is a unique challenge. And if he were not such a loving, sweet and kind dog I would have seriously considered rehoming him - something I would not have ever had a glimmer or thought in my life with any of my animals. We were desperate and although he was sweet and loving, he was also stressful and not enjoyable to live with or take for walks without having our arms pulled out of the sockets. We actually took Kaiser to our annual Dobermans in the park Spring Fling and he was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and he was a pleasure even with THIRTY other dogs and chaos around him, he was calm, healed by my side and he was confident and not nervous.We cannot thank Brad enough. My only regret is that we didnt find him sooner... it would have saved THOUSANDS in vet bills for all unsafe things things Kaiser had consumed and done... yes I have stories!I highly recommend Brad. No matter how good or bad your dog is, this is the best thing you can do for your family if you want a pet that is enjoyable to be around and take with you anywhere you want to go.Here are some photos of my boy! Brad is fantastic, there aren’t enough good things to say about him! I am in a wheelchair and it was extremely difficult to walk our dog Loki on a leash because he would get it tangled up in my wheelchair and would pull me whenever he was distracted by something. My 16 and 11 year old sons were always having trouble walking Loki because he would do whatever he wanted and not what we told him. Brad got us on the schedule within 2 days. Loki was outsmarting us every chance he got and once Brad taught us that we are in control, not Loki, it all fell into place. Now Loki is only going out off leash and does not run to any distractions unless we give him permission to. When I tell Loki to come, he comes right over and sits next to me until I release him. I wish there were more than 5 stars to give Brad because he would definitely get them.
We recently adopted our high energy bully mix Hank. We were hopeful that we could give Hank as much freedom as possible to run around and enjoy being off leash. We were also hopeful that we would be able to take Hank out and about without being dragged down the street by the furry goofy ball of muscle that we just brought into our lives. While researching options and after a squirrel related zoomie episode we came across Brad. He came the same week we contacted him and at the very first session had Hank off leash and we had a method to keep our dog safe while having the freedom to be a dog. Hank has since been through the full gamut of training and we couldnt be happier with Brad. We were so happy that we arranged for Brad to help facilitate meet and greets with 2 different dogs. Being that Hank was a rescue we really had no idea how he was going to be. Having Brad there made the whole process go very smoothly and the dogs ended up having a blast playing with each other. Finally we recently went on vacation and had Brad board Hank(first time away from him). He had a blast, got more socialization and training and got the bonus of another play session with one of Brads board and trains. We will use him every time we go away! I brought my German Shepherd Abby to Brad over a year ago, when we were trying to get her to calm down and actually listen to me because we were expecting a baby. She would bark at any moving thing and pull me in that direction, and being an 85lb dog, I needed it fixed. I was so sad to let her go for a week, but she came back a new dog! She listens and stays right with us OFF LEASH.We had some episodes at a daycare where they said Abby is too rough and doesnt listen. So yesterday we met up with Brad for a refresher session and she was on point, listening and doing all the tricks he taught her. I am very comfortable with my dog and how to handle her reactions still and I know that Brad is always there for some fine tuning if Abby ever decides she doesnt want to listen to us anymore!!
After getting our puppy, Harry, about 9 months ago we were at our wits’ end with his behavior. Walks were miserable because he pulled the whole time… our guests were always subject to “Harry the Hurricane” throughout their whole visit. We knew he was a good boy deep down but needed to be trained. Our friends recommended Brad and from our first conversation I felt confident he would be the perfect fit for us. He picked right up when I called and we were on his schedule within a week. His knowledge of dog’s behavior and breed tendencies is so impressive and allows him to tune right in to each individual dog’s needs. I couldn’t walk Harry without being dragged and would never dream of taking him off leash… Brad had him trained within a few hours. We can now get him the exercise he needs off leash and when he does need to be leashed for walks, he walks nicely. When we have guests over he is under control. We credit this all to Brad and are looking forward to a long life with our Very Good Boy!
We have an almost two-year old Cane Corso mix, Carl, and a five month old Rottweiler puppy, Zelda. Before we met Brad, Carl was an incredibly anxious dog making it extremely difficult to take him anywhere. Brad was able to build Carls confidence allowing him to go out in public without all of us being a nervous wreck. We are so impressed by everything Brad was able to achieve in only 4 sessions. We still have some work to do with the puppy, but he built us a great base to start off with, ensuring us a great future with our two pups!

My dogs barking got so bad I had to start searching for a trainer. I came across Brad on the internet so figured it couldnt hurt to reach out. It sucked because we were in different states, but he had a solution thankfully. He did a ZOOM session and taught me how to use it and correct the dogs behavior. After just one session with him I started getting control of the barking. We are so glad we chose to use Brad to help us train our new pup, King. King went from being a good dog to a great dog! Brad spent a lot of time with our dog, and with us so we all knew what to do. He really set us up for success. Not only can King go off leash now, but he stopped unwanted behaviors like biting my kids and chewing shoes. We enjoy our dog so much that we are already considering adding another one to our family. If we do, we will definitely call Brad again!
Brad has been wonderful to work with and has had such a positive impact on our Black Lab/Hound. “Fender” was happy to see him for each training session. He worked with him on off-leash, Place (see below), Off, Come and Sit. He also worked with us to make sure we were comfortable handling him off-leash. Brad is professional, timely, and responsive. Were thrilled with our experience. Highly recommend!When we adopted a 13 week old puppy, one of our first priorities was finding a trainer to work with. We wanted to make sure our new addition was set up for success. After reading his philosophy/mission, we knew he was our guy. As soon as you meet him, you immediately know his ultimate goal is allowing dogs to enjoy life. Off-leash = freedom = joy!Brad got us on the schedule SO FAST. After just one session, our puppy had learned Come and Sit commands--and performed them CONSISTENTLY. By our final session (only a month later!) we were wandering, off-leash, around other dogs, ducks, kids, skateboarders, bikes, etc.Breed, age, and intelligence (obviously) play a role. And he takes all of that into consideration. Brad meets each dog (and owner) where they are. He sent us updates throughout each training session, and took his time working with us directly afterwards to make sure we felt confident. Even now, after we have completed our sessions, he is still just a phone call/text away.
Working with Brad has absolutely changed our lives with our 9month old golden doodle, Atticus. Brad connected with him immediately and spent 3 solid half day sessions not only training Atticus, but also educating us on how to successfully allow Atticus off leash in pretty much any situation. We are so pleased with the results of Brad’s off leash training of our highly energetic mini bernedoodle puppy Jax. Brad was extremely knowledgeable and explained every aspect of his training to us. He did not put his training on an hourly basis. He worked with Jax until he was satisfied that Jax understood his commands. He then “trained us” so that we understood how to work with Jax off leash. I rarely write reviews but Brad is amazing at what he does and deserves to be recognized. After learning about Brads off leash training style, I was confident he was going to help my 1.5 year old Vizsla and I tremendously. Brad is attentive, tailors sessions to your specific needs/goals without the extra fluff and makes things so simple. Other trainers suggested several levels of obedience classes and/or 100% recall prior to off leash training which I felt was a bit excessive. After 1 session, there was a huge difference in my dogs off leash ability. Brad is truly gifted and I cant say enough positive things about his training services. 10/10 would recommend. Brad is great! He has a deep understanding of dog behavior/motivation. After only one lesson, there was an amazing improvement in my puppy’s behavior. He made huge strides with Brad each lesson. Brad was thorough in teaching me what he was doing with my dog and stayed until I felt comfortable doing it on my own. I watching my puppy romp happily at the park off leash! I highly recommend Brad and his approach to training!
We had a great experience with Brad and great off-leash dog training. We did a four lesson session with Brad with the goal of getting better control of our high energy Labrador, Hopper. Brad has an incredible connection with dogs and it is clear that he cares deeply for his animals. Brad spends just as much time training the humans as he does the dogs - I think the four-legged creatures pick it up much faster than we do. Due to personal reasons, we took an extended pause after our third lesson, when we were ready to resume, Brad jumped right back in, did a tune up with us, and had us practice by loose leash heeling with Hopper around home Depot - something we never would have dreamed of before. This was a great exercise to give us the confidence to continue taking Hopper out on family outings so he can continue to participate in more and more aspects of our life.For anyone that may be apprehensive about using an e-collar - I can say with confidence that Hoppers happy and goofy personality has not been negatively impacted in any way by the use of the collar. Quite the contrary, he is excited every time he sees Brad and cant wait to leave with him to go and train. Simply put, the e-collar is a great tool when used responsibly and creates a common language between owner and dog. We would recommend Brad and great off-leash dog training to anyone looking to get better control over their four-legged friend.
We had a very positive experience with Brad and Great Off Leash Training! We sent our dogs to 2 weeks of Board and Train and they really are changed pups. We felt very comfortable leaving them and received lots of updates and video of their progress. Brad is very thorough in training the owners on how to move forward. He spent time with our kids and then about a week later with me to fine tune and see where we can improve to continue their success. They were thrilled to see him so that only reinforced how well he cared for them. Highly recommend.

Brad Cranston worked a miracle with our sweet dog, Cookie! She is a 2 year old, small German Shepherd mix and was found abandoned, taking care of her 8 puppies! When she came to us she was afraid of everything, falling to the floor in a submissive posture every time anyone approached her. I sought out training for her more to help increase her confidence than to work on off-leash training. BUT... WOW!! Am I happy we found Brad and Great Off Leash Dog Training! In just 3 sessions with Brad, Cookie became a different dog! She is confident, happy, and playful! I walk her daily in our neighborhood off leash. I take her hiking regularly, off leash, and I have complete confidence in her behavior. We were thinking all of these wonderful reviews were too good to be true, but that is absolutely NOT true! Brad loves the dogs he works with and trains the humans pretty well too!! We felt confident in all of his instructions for us when we wrapped up our training with him. Cookie spent 3 hours in busy Congress Park on a lovely Saturday afternoon, off leash the entire time and with perfect behavior! Brad is a true dog whisperer! I’m the owner of Kali, a gorgeous 6 month old American Pitbull Terrier. Shes extremely loving and playful which can be both good and bad. Before sending her to Brad, she would run up to everyone that would cross her path and jump on them to gain their attention. It was almost impossible to get her to listen once she started. She knew basic commands but I hadn’t grasped the concept of letting her roam let alone it being off the leash. After being with Brad for a couple of weeks she came back a new puppy. I felt as tho I had total control of her actions. She’s now listening to my every command and I feel comfortable letting her off the leash in confidence that she knows her boundaries. Brad did an amazing job with her and throughout the process he was constantly in contact with me along with sending pictures and videos of her progress. He’s also made it known that if I need any tune ups or have any questions I can reach out to him whenever. So very happy with his work and relieved that unlike many trainers he’s still a call/text away. I highly recommend Great Off Leash Dog Training!
Brad worked with our almost 3 year old mini Golden doodle Ollie and we couldnt be happier with the training. He is so good with Ollie, he takes the time to make sure that he understands what is being asked of him. On top of that he always explains what we need to do and why we need to do it. Over the course of our training we had a lot of questions and concerns and Brad was so easy to get in touch with and was always so happy to talk us through different issues and different things that arose. I really appreciate that Brad adapted his training to accommodate my dog’s stubborn/lazy personality. He stuck with us until she got it, and believe me when I tell you that it took a lot of patience on his part. Brad sent videos from each training session so that I knew what he was working on and how I should work with Tootsie between sessions. After each session I could see measurable progress. There was good communication throughout the training process and I had complete trust that Tootsie was safe and having fun every time she worked with Brad. The end result is that I have a stronger connection with my dog, and I can take her out into different situations off leash while I have confidence that I have control of her. Can’t thank Brad enough!
Our German Shepherds,Dustin and Jenna came home Friday morning from Great Off Leash Dog Training, LLC ! They are doing so good and we are learning how to be consistent with their training. It is a work in progress but I am amazed at the results! We were so impressed, we sent Dylan, our Border Collie, and he was a star in training! They are all still active puppies but much more behaved now (sometimes with a little help)!Brad is such a wonderful trainer and they love him as was evidenced by when he came to pick up our Border Collie, Dylan, the Shepherds were extremely excited to see him and wanted to get in his car with him!He is going to keep doing training with us until he is satisfied that we know what we are doing! That is real commitment and caring! Brad is now a part of our family and we are so blessed to have found him!

If you are looking for a flexible, professional and effective trainer look no further than Brad. We hired Brad to help us with our (then) 8month old Newfypoo Gus. The change was noticeable after the first session! Brad showed us how to communicate more effectively with Gus and his response was immediate. We are now able to walk off leash anywhere, neighborhoods, parks etc. Brad also customized our lessons to include solutions to everyday manners (charging the door, counter surfing etc.).We now have the tools we need to see our gentle giant reach his full potential! Hes actually about to take his CGC test and the skills we started with Brad made it possible! He even offered suggestions on how to better manage our older dog who has always had behavioral issues. I recently contacted Brad when I was looking to take my 4 yr old German Shepherd to the next level with off leash training. I was instantly impressed from the way Brad approached meeting Wolfie and I’ve been continually impressed after 3 appointments. Our dog Owen came home today after 12 days of Board and Train with Brad. My husband and I can’t say enough about what an amazing job Brad did. We got multiple videos each day, so we saw what Owen was learning and who he was hanging with. Then when he got home, Brad spent time with us, teaching us how to reinforce what he had taught Owen. Even after a year, our two year old rescue continued to be an escape artist. We couldn’t open the front door or walk Skye out to the car without putting her on a leash. I had been reluctant to use an e-collar, but we really needed to do something for her safety and for our peace of mind. Brad did an amazing job training Skye, as well as teaching us how to use the collar effectively and humanely, along with commands and praise. We are all so much happier since Skye’s been living life off leash. We have a dog that loves to run and now has the freedom to do so without us worrying that she’ll run away. I brought my 1.5 year old Australian Cattle Dog “Amara” to Brad for the private lesson program. Amara had a good base of commands but is such a smart girl she was becoming to much to handle! Brad was able to tailor a program for our specific needs and has given me a much better relationship with my dog. I am now able to confidently bring her anywhere in public, off leash, and have complete control. He even helped us make it so she can come to the barn with me and be completely off leash while I train my horses, something I never thought she would be able to do. It was worth every penny as long as you are willing to put in the work. He did not leave our side until we were completely confident in what he was teaching us. Brad creates a bond with the dog and genuinely cares about the animals unlike some other trainers that offer restrictive lesson times and generalized programs. I CANT say enough good things!
We have a 10 month old rescue that is very timid. Brad won her over almost immediately. I had reservations about doing overnights in the beginning but Brad sent many photos and videos of her happy and playful while she learned her valuable lessons. Our pup is more confident and we have learned how to better communicate with her. She can run and play off leash with no worries. I would definitely recommend Brad and more importantly trust him completely with my dogs.
Brad was extremely knowledgeable and flexible. We decided to do Board & Train and have a pup with some special circumstances (a 180lb Great Dane with a little attitude and Wobblers Syndrome) so Brad had to approach training differently/a little slower than he might have otherwise but he definitely got the job done. We now feel confident that we can handle our dog in any situation and know that if we ever need anything, Brad would be more than willing to help. Couldnt be happier and I think Mick would agree!
Brad is an amazing trainer and I totally recommend him. He will treat your dog like its his own. He started by taking our dog Gunnison for a weekend and then he followed up with a few 9-5 lessons. After the first weekend Gunnison was a different dog. I couldnt believe how Brad turned him around so quickly!! He now responds to everything we ask him to do. We still struggle sometimes to get him to focus on walks but Brad has been there for us. I think the best thing about Brad is his commitment to every dogs success. He will follow through. Gunnison still looks for him every time we go to the park.
Wow what a difference 10 days makes. Brad took Stella when we went on vacation and she returned a completely different dog. She used to jump all over everyone, run away, tug very hard every time we walked, get extremely crazy around other dogs. Today she does not of those things. Brad has a unique way of reaching these animals that is truly amazing. I would highly recommend him if you are have any behavioral issues with your dog or if you would simply like your dog to listen to commands and be able to behave like you always wanted. Absolutely awesome and at a very reasonable price. Other people I looked at were twice as much and spent half as much time with the dogs. Brad also sends videos and is very interactive throughout the process so you can watch the progress as you go! Thanks again Brad!
A previous co-worker of mine referred us to Brad in order to tame our crazy little lab/ jack Russell mix, Prim. Before Brad and Great Off Leash Dog Training, Prim was such a good girl at home and in her own yard; but, when we left the safety of our own home she turned into a psycho! She would dart away the second she didn’t feel tension on her leash, jump on people, tug like crazy and totally forget her name and her family— she wanted to see the world and had no boundaries. Due to these behaviors, she missed out on a lot of adventures like hiking and swimming because we couldn’t trust her. Thanks to Brad she will no longer miss out- she is like a whole new dog! Since training we can trust her on/off leash with heavy distractions.After session 1 Prim loved Brad. She would get so excited to see him for each session and she instantly respected him. Brad is “Gold”. He can take any challenge thrown at him, and find an answer/solution to it. We first started with Brad when our dog Oscar was a puppy. He whipped him into shape just after the first session. We felt like we had a new dog.To this day, Oscar continues to be the best dog ever. One of Oscar’s favorite things to do is go out and get the mail or bring out the garbage with us. He also lives for his daily leash free walks. He loves the freedom of being off leash. None of that would have been possible without Brad. Brad really treats the dogs like his own. My puppy was so excited to see him every day, and I saw results right away. She started training at 6 months old. Before training, I couldn’t let her out in my backyard without a leash. I am comfortable to walk her off leash all the time now! I’m so happy with how her training went and how much more control I have over her behavior now.
WOW!!! Everything you have read is true. Brad cares for these pups like his own. So impressed with how well behaved Harper is and that she can go off leash and COME BACK! Harper had some one on one training but also was exposed to a ton of distractions... other dogs in the program, people, wild life & vehicles and rocked her commands. Brad truly transformed my 4.5 year old rescue pitbull in just one session. Since I adopted her, I was unable to walk her without it becoming a nightmare with her playing tug o war with the leash. Brad helped us train our one year old Vizsla, Gill, to be reliable off leash amongst very strong distractions. Before Brad, we were using the e-collar but not in the correct way and were really struggling to find a way to get Gill to stop pulling and also have him pay attention to us (he’s very easily distracted by scents and animals!). We wanted to enjoy our time with our best guy instead of getting frustrated! Brad showed us the techniques to get Gill to heel all the time even off leash and also have him come back to us and pay attention on hiking trails with very heavy distractions. Brad’s training completely transformed our relationship with Gill and opened so many opportunities for fun times with him in the future! I can’t recommend Brad enough! What an awesome experience to be able to train myself and our Bernese Mountain Dog. We have 2 small children and were concerned about their safety because she liked to play and shes not a small dog!! I just got my 7 month old Irish doodle, Kyra, back after an 11 day board and train. I was very picky with who I was going to let take care of my baby and I couldn’t be any happier with my choice of going to Brad! He took such good care of her and treated her as if she was his own. She is very timid and he helped to build her confidence by socializing her with so many dogs and people. No more constant tugging on her leash and also outside without a leash is no longer stressful. Now it’s so much fun to be able to practice the commands and have her listen to me and be eager to please! I also was looking for someone who didn’t just stick my dog in a crate, being that Kyra doesn’t use a crate and I didn’t want to start now. Brad was a perfect match for that, she got to live in his home just like she does at my house. I got many pictures and video updates daily so I never felt in the dark with what was going on. I also loved following the Great Off Leash Dog Training Instagram page to watch his stories on her and the videos he would post. It was like having a little extra bonus footage along with everything he sent me! He made this such a comfortable experience for me and I honestly cannot say enough “great” things about Brad! After much research i chose to send my 1 year old lab to Brad for the board and train program and it was overall a great experience. Its great to have a dog that listens to commands, has the freedom to be off leash and is a pleasure to walk when on a leash. Brad was great about sending updates, videos and pictures.I would highly recommend Brad and his board and train program.
Brad had our Frankie girl for two weeks doing the board and train process. Frankie was a rescue that we drove out to Mass. to pick up the summer of ‘18. She was 5 months old and she fit right into our family. The older she got, the more bad habits she picked up. If she was out with no leash...she was a goner. We’d chase her around the neighborhood for hours. She also had serious leash anxiety and would lose her mind barking/pulling at other dogs while on a walk. Brad brought her back to us yesterday and stayed for a couple hours, teaching our entire family (kids too) how to control her. We had her off leash in our yard and on a dirt road and she listened to every command. Today was the true test. I took her out for a walk with her having full energy and we did some loose leash heeling and then off leash again and it went so well. We are able to finally have fun with our dog without constant fear of her disappearing! Thank you Brad!
My friend had brought her dog to Great Off Leash Dog Training and had nothing but fantastic things to say about Brad. But we were still hesitant. My dog was well behaved for the most part so what more did we need? We started watching some videos on Facebook and Instagram and saw that our dog could go from a good dog to a Great dog. We love hiking and always bring our dog with us but its tough having hin tethered to us while hiking. We took the plunge and sent Dodger to summer camp (board and train) with Brad. Brad answered all of my crazy dog mom questions and put me at ease. He cared for Dodger as if he were his own and kept us in the loop with calls, texts, pictures and videos! Yesterday we picked up Dodger and we are so excited about the future. So far weve been off leash in the yard and hes been fantastic! Cant wait to start our off leash adventures with Dodger!
Brad is fantastic and really takes his time personalizing each session for your dog and you. My bernadoodle pup, Boomer, was getting to be a handful at 7 months old and about 70lbs. I could tell he wanted to learn and we really though we could teach him. Bit finally we made the commitment to Brad and within the 1st week, I saw a big difference. At the dinner table one night, I asked everyone to raise their hands if they loved the new Boomer. Both kids, 5 and 7, shot their hands up and my husband and I looked at each other with such relief. Everything from etiquette to being able to play outside with Boomer off leash!! Thank you Brad!!!
If I could give 100 stars I would! Brad is a miracle worker. I found Great Off Leash Dog Training from a friend of mine when she posted her dogs transformation on Facebook. We were originally going down the road to install an electric fence for our 6 month old puppy at our house so he could run around. We soon realized that while the fence would be great at home, it wouldnt help us when we took our dog off our property. We decided to give Brad a chance to train Tucker so he could enjoy running off leash without running away from us from wherever we might go. Well, Tucker can do that and more!! From sitting to healing to coming on command, Tucker enjoys his new found freedom from the leash. 10 days ago, Tucker would have taken off on us if off leash or starred at us like we were crazy because we were asking him to come. I heard about Brad and Great Off Leash Dog Training from a woman I met at the local dog park. Our 60lb, 1.5 year old hound mix, Murphy, was a joy inside our home, but a disaster when we were out. He would jump up on people, pull on the leash, bark at everyone (including children), jump over our fence, jump on and bite every tree we passed, etc. We were completely frustrated and overwhelmed. We did have a trainer come to our home when we first got Murphy. She used treats as rewards when Murphy listened and that worked short term. He soon realized what every bad behavior he was doing was more rewarding to him than the treat. We soon lost control of our sweet pup and he was running the show. I took a chance and sent Murphy to the 10 day board and train. Brad kept in contact with us the entire time with videos and updates.After the 10 day training, Brad brought Murphy to our home and trained us! Brad taught us how to be in charge (even my 10 year old son). It was clear when I saw Brad with Murphy, how well they bonded and how much Murphy liked Brad (he was resting his head on his lap). Murphy has been home for two weeks and the change is amazing. He is still the same fun loving dog, but not wild and out of control. We finally have control of our dog. He can go on walks without the leash. He even ran along side my husband while he was cross country skiing! He doesnt jump up on people, bark uncontrollably, attack every tree, etc. Brads training has really improved the quality of our family life, especially Murphys. Our furry family member is no longer running the show and is now a joy to be with, even in public! The transformation was simply amazing. We cannot thank Brad enough! I highly recommend Brad!
We are extremely pleased with Calvins care, training and Brads communication with us while he was at the board and train. It is such a great feeling to have Calvin off leash with confidence and to have a way to stop any bad manners he may have inside (chewing rugs, walls, etc). I will begin by saying that Brad is a miracle worker! My husband and I have two 5-year-old dogs, a Golden Retriever and a rescue lab/hound mix. We had a couple of in-home dog trainers, which may have helped slightly in the past, however, the results did not last and were not what we were looking for. Neither of our dogs would respond to our commands. Our Golden was fine on walks, but our rescue would bark uncontrollably, pull with hackles up, and totally freak out to the point other dog owners have taken their dogs inside when we would walk by. We would come home embarrassed beyond belief not knowing what else to do thinking we had tried everything. The Golden seemed to feed off of her behavior and lose confidence and almost become scared. Within the first two days, Brad sent us videos of their progress with responding to commands, such as “come”, “sit”, and “place”. They knew the commands beforehand, but this was different. They now come to us when called, sit immediately, and do not move until we release them. Shortly after that was the “heel” command and we were blown away. Brad had them at dog parks, stores and walked them down Broadway in Saratoga. We never took our rescue there in the past as we knew the outcome. We were beyond shocked and almost terrified watching the videos thinking that she would take off or have one of her freak out sessions, but she did not. She listened. We finally met with Brad at Congress Park and practiced the commands. It was the first time we had full control over our dogs and it was the BEST feeling ever. They’re both bird dogs and couldn’t have cared less about the 500 ducks at the pond at the park because they were following our commands. We took them down Broadway and they were both loose leash listening to our commands as people and dogs walked by. We now know what to look for when our rescue sees someone or something approaching that she doesn’t like and how to correct that behavior before it happens. All in all, we are thrilled with Brad’s services, professionalism, and responsiveness. I also need to stress how awesome it was knowing that our dogs were not kenneled or crated while with Brad for nearly two weeks. They get so excited to see him and seem so eager to please us. We didn’t think it was possible to change their behavior after 5 years, but we were proven wrong. Thank you, Brad! You’re truly amazing!
I can’t say enough great things about our experience with Brad! While extremely lovable and sweet, we had two very energetic border collie mixes who loved to bark at everything, jump on people, whine, pull on their leash, and only listen when they wanted to (or if we had a treat). However, after spending 10 days with Brad, we now have CONTROL over our dogs! They are still energetic and fun, but they listen to us and are so well behaved around the house. We are expecting our first baby in less than a month and having our dogs be GOLD dogs couldn’t have come at a better time! I can walk them by myself without feeling like I’m going to be pulled over or worrying about passing another dog, squirrel, or person and having them go crazy. They are doing so great! Thank you thank you thank you Brad! We were able walk them off leash on our long trail walks and not have to worry. Worth the money!! Plus we received videos and pictures all week while we were missing our pups ❤️
My girlfriend and I got a German shepherd/Australian shepherd mix puppy together named Remi. My girlfriend already had an Irish doodle named Kyra, that I couldn’t believe was so well trained by Brad. When we got the new puppy, I already knew exactly who to go to for Remi because I wanted her to be just like the first dog he trained. Remi was only three months old who came to us with no confidence at all, who would raise her teeth at other dogs and bark. After speaking with Brad, he decided to meet with Remi. He felt that he could work with her even at her young age. Remi is now almost 5 months old and is a friendly, confident, super happy, well trained puppy! He also took his time with me to train me into feeling confident in Remi as well. Brads training is beyond belief and of the highest quality. I cannot recommend him enough!!
Pulling was a big issue with my 1 year old English Pointer Mix until I found Brad Cranston from Great Off Leash Dog Training! Brad did a wonderful job transforming Doug’s crazy behavior into obedience. I am now able to take Doug off his leash and still have control of him! No more being dragged around the yard! From socializing to free tune-ups Brad does it all and I would highly recommend him!

Everything you have read about Great Off Leash Dog training is true! Brad truly treats each dog as if they were his own, sending pictures and updates daily letting you know about the progress your dog is making. My dog, Luna, is completely transformed in the best way possible since coming home from here. Prior to training, Luna would so acrobatic spins on the leash when she saw a dog or human on the other end. Now she is able to do a perfect heel on my side, and I have no worries with others walking her. Never before could she go into the backyard without a leash on due to running off, but now she can run and play! She has so much confidence now, as do I. It’s amazing what he can do in such a short period of time, and I would recommend Great Off Leash to anyone interested! It is well worth it, and the comfort you’ll have after beats anything.
Friends of mine recommended Brad and Great Off Leash Dog Training to me I was VERY indecisive about sending Thráin (my baby boy) for off leash training and I went back and forth at least 3 times and Im grateful that Brad put up with my anxieties about sending my dog for 2 weeks for his board and train program because I couldnt be happier with the results! Brad took a crazy wild puppy from my house and came back 10 days later with a show dog that could run the table at Westminster (or close). My goldendoodle BillieJean was a sweet but spazzy girl 10 days ago but today is a calm and collected pup that I might let babysit my kids. It’s incredible what brad was able to do. Billie is listening and seems to already be so much more comfortable in her fur. I can’t recommend Great Off Leash Dog Training enough. It’s an investment that will last a lifetime. Our lab/mastiff mix Chewbacca was getting to be too much for us to handle. At 90 lbs he could pull us off our feet, we felt like we had no control, especially walking in the neighborhood around other dogs.After training with Brad, we have complete control. Chewie can have freedom off leash, since we know he will come back instantly when called. And on leash we can also control him, have him heal when in a tough situation.Chewie loved working with Brad, he always got excited when Brad showed up for a lesson. And Brad was great with us, listening to what we were struggling with and working with us to fix the issue. We were trained alongside Chewie at the local parks and really came away with an understanding of what to do and why.Highly recommend especially if you have a larger dog and really need that control!
Brad is a miracle worker. I have a 10 month old samoyed who would not listen to or obey any command. Maverick spent 10 days with Brad and is the most well behaved dog, I couldnt be more happy with the job Brad did, I received each day both photos and videos of Mavericks progress. Brad also did not cage or kennel Maverick during his training treating my dog like he was his own, which he promised me he would do which means alot when you send youre dog away, I never once was concerned with his treatment knowing he was in great hands. Also after Mavericks training I brought him to a groomer where he had a bad experience so when I rescheduled with another groomer Brad accompanied both Maverick and myself to make sure he had a positive experience. In summary I cant tell you what a great trainer Brad is but how he also cares about the dogs he trains, he was right there to help Maverick through what couldve been a bad experience, and this was after his training and would not take anything for it, if youre looking for a trainer you need to look no further than Brad, he is the best you wont regret it.

We got Shamrock during the height of the pandemic, and he was poorly socialized and exhibited fear/aggression behaviors. After just 5 days with Brad, these behaviors were greatly reduced, as Brad taught us how to better communicate with Shamrock. Now we can bring guests to our house and take Shamrock to the dog park and to town without fear that he will misbehave. We even take Shamrock off-leash for walks. Brad is an amazing, caring and talented dog trainer. I’d give him 6 stars if I could!!

Brad is amazing! He ordered me the e-collar that has exceeded my expectations. He took the time to meet with me to go over the collar and make sure I was using it properly on my dog. We sent our 7 month old Goldendoodle to Brad for his board and train program. We were impressed by the attention, socialization and one on one training that Ollie got. We were sent daily video updates, highlighting Ollie’s progress. Brad took the time to find out what our needs were and incorporated that into his training. On transfer day, Brad spent almost 2 hours with my husband and I are our 2 kids (16 & 12). He went over everything. From the ecollar to the commands. He worked with each of us to ensure that we were able to execute the commands. Brad checked in with me the next day to see how Ollie was doing and reminded us we could reach out to him with any questions or concerns and even offered a free tune up if necessary. We can’t say enough about Brad. Ollie was exhausted from his time spent with him and the new friendz he met along the way! And as an added bonus to the training, Ollie is able to return to Brads for boarding. No more cages, no more extra hidden fees when going through a traditional boarding establishment. Trust me, the board and train program is worth every penny!

I went to Brad and Wendy out of pure desperation - my 9 month old heeler/coonhound mix, Riley, was running my life. I felt like I couldnt do anything because he dictated everything. He was a nightmare to walk on leash, and honestly, in general. I was nervous about leaving him for 8 days, but once I met Brad and Wendy in person, I knew I was leaving him in the best hands. I received updates multiple times per day from both Brad and Wendy about how he was doing. In a few days, I was itching to get my baby back - he was doing so well! When I finally got back to him, I was stunned. He was a totally different dog in all of the best ways. They both spent so much time with me the day I picked him up making sure I was comfortable with Riley and that I understood all of the ground they covered during their time together. It was wonderful. Its been more than two weeks since hes been back and my life with Riley has never been better. Before private lessons with Brad, we dreaded walking our dog Larry. Brad made the extra effort to drive to us as Larry was uncontrollable in the car. Larry learned to place and heal so quickly he was like a totally differet dog. Brad helped us to trust Larry off the leash and gave us tips and training to use on our own. Now walking Larry is much more enjoyable and something we do as a family. We would recommend Brad to anyone looking for dog training!!!
Brad has been amazing with Lola. He started working with her several years ago and we continue to send her to him for refreshers and socialization. Lola is a stubborn English Bulldog , but Brad can get her to do anything . She respects him and always follows his commands. I HIGHLY recommend Great Off Leash Dog Training. I have a year and a half beagle/coonhound mix, Pippi, and working with Brad has been the best thing I could have done for my dog and myself. My husband and I go hiking a lot and our 2 old dogs were well-behaved and trustworthy off-leash. Pippi, being a scent-driven hound mix, would not listen to us no matter how much recall work I did with her and it made hiking a lot more stressful than we were used to. I did the individual lessons with Brad and not only do I feel completely confident with her off-leash, Brad also helped with her leash-reactivity towards other dogs. Pippi is able to walk comfortably past other dogs without pulling on the leash and freaking out and I can walk her through crowded areas with full control of her. Pippi also has a pretty strong prey drive and has actually caught a couple rabbits in our yard. During our last lesson, she was able to listen to our commands and ignore a rabbit 10 feet away from her while off-leash. Brad was accommodating with scheduling and was available if I had any questions between lessons. Obviously anybody would be skeptical leaving there dog with someone they do not know but Brad went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable knowing they were in great hands. We found Brad through a friend of mine. As I watched the pictures and videos on facebook of the training her dogs were receiving, I knew I had to get in touch with Brad to help with my 3 year old mixed breed Nala. Nala is a good dog but needed her manners and I learned she was controlling us. When Nala was with Brad we received daily texts and videos of her progress which made us more comfortable that she was being taken care of.We have had Nala home for a few weeks now and I couldnt be happier! Nala is excellent on walks and heels on command even when her sister is off exploring. She no longer jumps when I come home and she listens when I give her commands.Our main reason for wanting this training is for our summers at camp. Nala can be a pest always barking at other dogs and people and walks were very unpleasant. I am looking forward to continuing her training soon when camp opens and being able to enjoy our time. Brad has even said if we needed help when the time comes he would come and help us there!Nala spent 10 days with Brad and when we picked her up she was so confused and she wouldnt leave Brads side for at least 10 minutes. You could see the bond he had with her and you could tell he cared and the feeling was mutual. Her first night and the next day at home she was exhausted but Im sure she missed him too!Brad still checks in with us to see how Nalas doing and I am so impressed with his training that I am recommending him to my friends and anyone else who needs a caring approach to training. The world needs more Brads so there would be such thing as an out of control dog!Thank you Brad!
I’m sure I am a broken record. Going with Brad is the best decision we could have made. Bernie at 5 months and over 50lbs is so well behaved. We take him everywhere with us without any worries. Um and Bernie also loved training and Brad. The doorbell would ring and he would be excited to go. Thank you again.
Brad did wonders for Hitch!! It took me a while to rescue the right dog, but when I found Hitch I knew him and I were meant to be. I then began looking for training for Hitch, as he was a rescue, he didn’t come with much of a history and knew he needed hands on training. I followed Brad on social media and then I started a new job, and a coworker of mine recommended him, so I knew it was the guy to call. I called Brad and we spoke for quite some time on the different programs he had and I chose the Board and Train, as I was traveling for work so timing was perfect. Brad was able to accommodate and get Hitch in almost immediately after our phone call!I was asked what I was looking for from the training, and I wasn’t sure since I didn’t know Hitch too well. All I knew was that he was hesitant of new people. At the drop off Hitch let Brad take him with no hesitation.I received videos, texts and photos from Brad on Hitch’s progress. I only had Hitch for two weeks before I sent him to Brad and I am glad I did, Brad was able to find behaviors that hitch had that I never wouldve known unless confronted with an uncomfortable situation. Brad was able to correct this and now there are no issues with Hitch sharing toys or water/food bowls with other dogs. Hitch learned so much and did so well with Brad I’m not sure he would’ve had the same outcome elsewhereBrad did an amazing job for Hitch and I am so thankful for finding him. I will continue to board Hitch with Brad, knowing it’s a place he’s comfortable in and is getting taken care of. Thanks Brad! :)

Huge thanks to Brad for his help with my pit Hammy. Brad stayed in contact throughout the 10 day board and train and showed me progress through pictures and videos. So I have had a lot of people ask who I went through for training with GiGi. I found Great Off Leash Dog Training, LLC. The owner is Brad and he works with the dogs. GiGi is only a 1/3 of the way through her training so far and I honestly can not begin to explain how happy I am to have come across his page!He took GiGi on Thursday night and brought her back to us on Sunday at 2:30. He stayed with the kids and I until 4:30 to walk through the e-collar and how it worked as well as all the commands he had taught her. We brought her out for a walk and I was able to keep her walking by my side without a leash! While also giving her Freedom to go a little ahead of me without being out of my range.I was skeptical after he left that she would go back to her old behaviors when it was just the kids and I here but that wasn’t the case at all. It’s like having a completely different dog now.There is no more trying to jump on counters or people. She sits and waits until I tell her to go and eat her food. She used to run and try to grab my blankets and tug on them she no longer attempts to do this. Last night was the first night she was allowed to sleep in my bed because I used to worry about what she would try to get into and last night I didn’t have any issues!I can’t thank Brad enough for what he has accomplished with her so far and we look forward to the rest of the training!
Scout had many behavioral issues and after just the first lesson with Brad, these problems were fixed. Over the lesson set, she has learned come, sit, stay, place, and heel. Brad worked with Scout each lesson until she had attained the goal of that lesson, and he is also very flexible in scheduling.

Brad started working with my dog, Artie about 18 months ago. Before we started working with Brad, Artie would constantly bark for what seemed like no reason, demanded attention and did what he wanted when he wanted. He was a menace and all the training in the world didnt seem to make a difference. After hearing about GOLD I decided to give it a try and im glad I did. Within 1 week Artie turned from Dennis the Menace to a well mannered gentlemen. Every time we catch up with Brad for a refresher session or walk in the park Artie gets so excited to see him. We brought Dodger to see Brad in may of 2019 for a board and train. 3 months later Dodger broke his leg while playing in the back yard which cause him to have surgery, sedation, and no mobility for 2 months. We then worked on rehabbing him for another 2 months. After that we started working on training again and Dodger picked it right back up. We decided we wanted to meet up with Brad to help fine tune Dodger and is and it was exactly as expected. GREAT! Thank you so much for helping us get Dodger’s (and our) confidence back!

My dog is not a beginners dog. He has a strong predatory drive and strong hunting instinct which makes him chase long and far. When he sees or gets the scent of game he locks in and has no recall. Most people would not be able to control him and would lose him.I was required to go out of town, however, I would not have made the trip if Brad didn’t watch the dog.I left with complete confidence entrusting my beloved dog to Brad. He is the only person I would leave my dog with knowing his talent and capability to train and work with a high energy difficult dog.He truly is a dog whisperer and genuinely loves them too!Rob R

Brad was an excellent trainer for our puppy. Our dog bonded with him immediately and even cried the whole night when Brad dropped him off when training was done! Our Pomsky came back able to heel, come-sit-stay, place on a park bench and just overall better behaved. I’m super impressed and highly recommend Great Off Leash Dog Training, you will not regret it!
If I could give Brad and Great Off Leash Dog Training a 10 star review I would. Brad is a highly professional & passionate trainer, he takes the time to understand each dog and work out their “issues” and problem areas. We dropped off our 9 month old Doberman, Lars, for a 2 weeks board & train. He can be a very dominant and defiant dog so we needed to gain control over him with methods that actually work and Brad did just that for us. He demonstrated his teachings with us and Lars and really makes sure our pup is grasping everything along with us staying consistent after his program is complete. Even after the fact Brad stays in touch with us and is there if we need help or have questions. Brad is a thorough perfectionist and fellow dog lover and that’s just what our pup needed. I can’t thank him enough!! :)
Brad and Bob agreed to train and board our French Brittany pup while we headed out west to visit family, even though he was only 3 1/2 months. When we came back, we were amazed with his progress! We feel comfortable taking him outside without a leash, and he is able to come, sit, heel, and place :-) Inside, his behavior has also improved; we are not chasing him around grabbing stuff out of his mouth as frequently or constantly reminding him that WE are not his chew toys. I normally do not write reviews, but what Brad was able to do was miraculous with our little feisty devil dog. With Brad’s positive and practical training my dog will now listen to me. Taking a walk now is enjoyable. I am able to now walk my dog without a leash and when he wanders off and I call him he actually listens to me and comes right back to me, before he would just ignore me. I would recommend Brad to anyone!!
My 9 month old Akita, Molly, and I needed some assistance with training. Molly was quite challenging. I contacted Brad and after a few conversations decided to use his board and train program. Molly took to Brad immediately. He sent me videos and pictures daily showing her progress. I was totally impressed. When he brought her home, he worked with us for about 2 hours and I was amazed. I had her under control. Brad is very dedicated to training these dogs and ensuring his customers are happy! It was a GREAT experience!!!
Having Teddy (2 year old labradoodle) and our family trained by Brad has been life changing! Wish we would have done it a year sooner. Teddy went from being a nervous dog, chasing walkers down our street / the ultimate food stealer to now a confident dog we can have off leash in public or in the neighborhood. It’s still hard to believe how quickly we learned how to effectively communicate with him. Love having him run around off leash and enjoying that freedom. Walking past people / other dogs with him heeling off leash and hearing “wow he is such a good dog” is something I thought we would never hear about him before this experience! Thanks to Great Off Leash Dog Training our dog now sits, comes, heels, goes to a specified place, or stops doing something on command. We sought help with our year+ old rescue terrier mix for behaving aggressively - barking and nipping at ankles of visitors and because of a scary incident where she disappeared in the forest for an extended time. Now she responds to OFF to stop aggressive behavior and Come when called so that we can enjoy nature together - hiking and cross country skiing without fear of her running off or scaring someone. Great off leash Training was committed to my satisfaction and I went from being nervous about doing the training to enjoying the lessons.
Our 85 pound husky mix was getting to be a bit too much to handle. He knew basic commands and some tricks but jumped on people, couldn’t be trusted off leash and knew how to open our front door so he would dart out. We spent a few hours trying to chase him down one night before deciding that we needed help to train him. I saw brad’s great reviews and gave him a call. Within 4 lessons, we completely trust our dog to be off leash! The jumping on people and almost knocking them over has also stopped. Brad was great and worked with us on how to gain control back of our dog. You can tell that he really loves dogs and really loves what he does. I’d highly recommend him!!
Our 1 year old coonhound, Tito, was certainly a handful. Unlike other dog trainers we researched, Brad didn’t think twice about taking on the challenge. Together we decided the board and train was our best option, and we couldn’t be happier with the end results. Brad took her in and treated her as one of his own dogs during her time with him. After just 10 short days, tito is now off-leash and we feel as though we have MUCH better control over her! Brad stands by his work! Brad did an amazing job with our Goldendoodle Rusty. Rusty had selective hearing and half the time he was the one taking me on a walk. After a few sessions with Brad he was a new pup. Simply amazing. He dissappears with our pup for 30 minutes and he can heal on command. Goes to park and now he can place (jump on anything) and touch (just the front paws). My goldendoodle Murphy was not leash trained when I got him at 1.5 years, and at 75 pounds, he was dangerous! Now it is like he is a different dog, and I actually enjoy walking him everyday! The training was definitely a positive experience, and I’m glad I found Brad to do so!
Leaving your dog child with another, especially someone you dont know, can be difficult. Trusting that someone else will meet all of their emotional mental and physical needs aswell as being present with them in times of rest for support. Especially having an apprehensive gsd interactions were previously an issue for us. But honestly Im not sure if the transition could have gone any better. Since the moment Brad arrived to pick up Cheveyo, I realized how gentle and patient he was with allowing him to feel safe and respected, not forcing anything, just holding space so he could open up on his own. It didnt take long for them to bond and in no time start working together. Brad was able to meet Cheveyos eagerness to learn with new approaches to old tricks and new skills that well be able to build on. He welcomed Cheveyo as family and dedicated himself to being there for him in every way. The daily pictures and videos kept me close to the process and able to see him bloom into the mature confident k9 he is. Weve both gained our freedom and look forward to the journey ahead!
Brad worked with my 10 month old puppy, BradyQuinn. After only 2 lessons I was able to bring BradyQuinn out around my yard off leash. After 3 lessons I was taking him on walks and parks off leash with no problems. I could not be more satisfied with the results of my puppys behavior. I am confident walking him where there are many distractions knowing he will listen to me. Brad was great listening to my goals and catering to the needs of BradyQuinn, I highly recommend using Great Off Leash Dog Training for training with your dog!
