Pet Supplies Plus Medford

I visited Pet Supplies Plus in Medford on June 6th, 2024, around 6 pm and had a fantastic experience. The pets looked incredibly happy and well-cared for, especially the fish, which were in pristine condition. The staff was phenomenal—knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help. It was clear they are passionate about what they do. I highly recommend this location for all your pet needs!

Ive been using Hanah for years! She is the best there is. I have a Siberian Husky who doesnt like to be groomed but Hanah spends so much time and love on her! My dog Maya just loves her! If you are looking for an awesome groomer who really truly loves her clients, then I highly recommend Hanah she is the best!!

Best location on Long Island from the moment you walk in your greeted by smiling faces asking if you need assistance with anything. Staff at this store is always Friendly, Professional, Honest and Caring they truly take pride in everything they do from grooming to the person running the register. Because of this store I was able to find My Forever Friends Chowder Crazy Legs And Pinkie ❤️❤️ Shout Out to the Entire Staff In Medford keep up the awesome work❤️❤️

This is one of the best locations, the staff is always friendly and helpful. I have been bringing in my beagle for grooming monthly with the same groomer for years. Hannah is such a friendly and professional groomer. She has a way of calming her down for her bath and keeps me updated on hows shes doing. My dog always leaves her grooming appt smelling fresh and clean and sporting a new cute bandana. I highly recommend bringing your pets to their grooming services.

This place is amazing, clean and they absolutely care about their neighbors and any pets that come in. Their animals are very well taken care of. Greeted at the door as soon as you come in! The delivery service is amazing and the staff is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this store to all of my family and friends!

Very disappointed - this is how they care for the animals they profit from - dirty cage, inadequate food, zero stimulation for very active, inquisitive animals, nails overgrown, depressed little creatures trapped in a miserable environment. No excuse. Will no longer patronize this store.

I absolutely love this store when I shop in the store there is always someone available to assist if I need help, they offer great prices and deals for either everyday shoppers or store card members, and they help out animals in the community with food donations for rescues/shelters. Today I had the pleasure of getting a delivery directly from the store for the first time and it was amazing it arrived within 24 hours and Kelly called me to tell me she was on the way with my package and wanted to make sure I was around to receive it. In my package I also received some free samples as well as a beautiful hand written note, which really makes you feel special and appreciated as a customer, this made the whole shopping experience lovely and Ill continue to use them for my pet needs.

We love this location! They have a nice pet wash area and its always clean and stocked with clean towels. A few things that I didnt know that I wish I did know was that if you prepay for five washes they give you a good discount. I also didnt know that you have to pay for the wash first. Ive been coming here for quite some time and the cashier informed me that you have to pay for the wash first. Nobody ever said anything to me so I didnt know we always paid after her bath. Hailey usually grooms, Harley She always does an amazing job and harley loves her. She will treat your baby like its her baby!!! All the pets and butt scratchies when we come visit her to go shopping Harley loves her pet supplies plus besties!*Miss Harley cause WHY NOT 😊❤️*

Great variety of pet supplies and name brand healthy options for all pets. Great live selection of pets to purchase and take home and love. Good selection of toys for our fur babies and knowledgeable helpful staff. Very happy experience each time I shop there

I just bought fish on sale but when I got home I realized they charged me full price for everything. I’m kind of upset about this. So just pay attention when buying here

This place is always awesome and really went all out on the puppy party. Seriously recommend checking them out especially their events they do. The people are always helpful and friendly and they have tons of different sales and coupons to save money on anything you may need.

Always friendly staff who are ready to assist. The convenience and selection are just right. I love that Annabelle, Nicole, Chris and especially 💗Miss Hannah💗 know when Wilma and Frank are in the store and welcome them with love. My online orders are picked with care, and my little fur babies always find what they need. Additionally, Miss Hannah gives my beagle battalion special care when its time for bubbles.

This place was amazing. Answered the phone professionally, confirmed they had what I needed. When I arrived, they showed me where the bag of dog food was and carried it to the register, then carried it to my car. It was my first time here and I am so impressed. Going back to this store instead of the big chain I used to go to. Thank you so much!

Took my Goldendoodle for the first time when he was about 12 weeks old Now he’s 9 months! Sam, from the grooming department does an excellent job ! Never fails to impress us ! We love her ❤️ Also I get his treats & toys from here and the staff is always soo nice and caring always attentive and asking if we need help with anything!

Weve been customers of this location for a couple of years now. Weve had our dog groomed there many times and get other products while there. Additionally, we always donate when asked at check out.Today I brought my dog into this location for grooming. The difference was this time she was on an anti anxiety medication prescribed by her vet as she gets incredibly anxious in the car and at the groomer. In fact, last time our dog went there the workers said we should pay extra for private/expedited grooming since she seemed so anxious. During todays intake I was asked if our dog was on medication and I did inform them of the aforementioned medication. The worker - who I do not blame personally at all - informed me that our dog had to be turned away as their policy is to not groom any dogs who are on such medication.My wife ended up calling corporate and asking why and their response was that their policy is in place as they have to monitor the dogs stress levels. To me this makes no sense since the medication inhibits or eliminates anxiety/stress. My wife told the representative that we were told last time wed have to pay extra for private/expedited grooming due to her anxiety so we got the vet to prescribe the medication.

I love this pet store in fact it’s the only place I goTo shop for my spiky friends. Staff are amazing and not to mention they spend time with these animals as if they are theirs , so when someone comes into the store to buy that animals for their forever home.. they become awesome pets bc of the staff working with these animals. I booked a grooming appointment over the phone to make sure there were no complications. When I get there I was told my appointment was last week !! There’s no way because it would only have been 3 weeks from his last. I told her (Hailey) I think her name was. A big blonde girl, it was a mistake and if they could possibly squeeze him in since it was my only day off!! I was told no and she walked away!!!! I’ve been taking my dogs there for years and to be so rude and unacomidating?!?? I will never go back there again . I was told by numerous people that their groomers weren’t great but it was so convenient. So I found Puppy Kutz where so were so nice and ALOT CHEAPER!!!SHAME ON YOU PET SUPPLIES PLUS FOR EVEN HIRING SUCH RUDE PEOPLE THAT EE ARE SUPPOSED TO ENTRUST OUR PETS WITH!!

Im 100% satisfied with customer service on the delivery end from this store. They delivered same day! A lady called me saying she was going to leave at my door and wished me a great holiday. They hand wrote a card which I thought was special and included some sample foods. You dont get this kind of service with the big pet food companies. I cant wait to vist their store and continue to use there services. Thank you!

Sam the employee was phenomenal today. He helped my Mom and I find a cat collar for her ailing 20 year old cat.He was so Kind,Caring, and Sympathetic to our needs with our situation. He was very knowledgeable and showed us in great detail how to use the product. He should get a raise or promotion for his wonderful customer service for us. We had a bad experience but I would say the management team truly cares for animals and their animal loving customers they quickly addressed my problems and even offered us crickets for our hungry beardie. This is our local pet store and we truly love it so it’s important to us that the relationship be a good one.

The store has everything you need for your pets, all kinds of pets. I had my two dogs groomed with Hannah And she was terrific. She will be my groomer from now on! Great pet store.

I love the employees here, they are always so friendly and helpful. Its close to my job, even though some items may be pricier than the big box stores I appreciate the convenience. My One Complaint would be Ive gone there/ordered online for pickup from them a handful of times, and have left with nothing or cancelled my order because they did not have the items in stock. It said in stock online, and it wasnt there. A bit frustrating when it happens a few times. Other than that, great location for your pets needs.

Sold an injured parakeet. After investigating injury, we realized its leg band was embedded in its leg. .. we are caring for it now without their help or support. They would only exchange it, or we could return it for a refund.. Took to a parrot facility and was told there was nothing that could be done except to wait for the leg to die off, and then he would live normal as a one-legged bird. They could have at least offered me back my purchase price to put towards care.. At least the bird is in a loving environment with people that will go the extra step... UPDATE, the owner responded with an apology and wanted to discuss it further and sent me a link to contact.... Its the same page I filled out several times.. no real communication from higher up then store manager.. Ridiculous.. If they really cared, they would have been more accommodating and offered my purchase price to use to care for this bird. Going forward, I wont buy another pet from this location.ANOTHER UPDATE: I returned the bird on Friday (9/1) so they can treat the bird, I called twice today and neither person I spoke to could give me a update on how the bird is doing, neither person even knew the bird was in their wellness area... When I brought the bird back it was so they could treat the bird and get it better, and then repurchase the bird for my daughter. My daughter is very concerned and misses this bird and just wants to bring it back home. Both staff people today were rude, and how can you not know the bird was there???? Didnt anyone feed it since its back.. my review updates seem to be the only way Corporate addresses the issue, BUT dosent reach out directly to me... All I want is for the bird to get treated so I can bring it home.

Their groomers are great and dont break the bank at all. And the products they sell in the store are all of high quality. Great place for pets!

I bout a parakeet mineral block but wound up returning it since I read that dye is no good for birds plus it stains there beaks. It was dyed pink. Other locations have the natural ones. I didn’t have the receipt but figured since it was on the credit card I would try, no luck. They didn’t let me exchange either. I gave him the mineral block anyway since I’d wind up throwing it out anyway. I would expect them to try go a little above and beyond, maybe offer to give me some spray millet on exchange, I don’t think inventory would notice them being short since they couldn’t exchange me for something else. I also recommend the carry iodine block. This place is lacking what we need for parakeets. Well, I’ll just have to shop elsewhere.

This my third time ordering my dog’s food and treats from Pets Supplies Plus. I was getting dog food and treats from Chewy. Pet Supplies Plus’ prices are cheaper than chewy. Their customer service is excellent! I do curbside and I don’t mind driving to their store since I am out of range of delivery. There’s always a personal handwritten thank you note which is so special. They also include some free samples. I feel like a valued customer. I like also receiving their coupons for additional savings! I’m glad I found this place! They work hard for your business and for these reasons I give them a 5 star rating.

We went into the store to get a harness for our dog Buddy. Sam greeted us as soon as we walked in and offered his assistance. He was very knowledgeable and helped us pick the right harness for walking Buddy. Thanks Sam!

I am getting my very first puppy! The store has so much to choose from at great prices. I had TONS of questions, and the sales associate was excellent! She took me around the store and recommended many products and gave me some excellent care advice for my new pet. I will definitely be shopping here for my supplies!

One of the best pets stores I’ve been to, the place is always clean great employees especially Danni, she always takes pride in her work and making sure each customer is taken care of. All employees are respectful and very very helpful!!

Changing my review from 1 to 5 stars. They had a particular employee who was insanely rude and just made me not even want to shop in there because of his attitude. He got fired or quit or whatever (good riddance) and now the store is lovely. The employees are quick to greet you and ask if you need help and I can usually find some pretty good deals in the store. The store is kept clean and for the most part I can find the items I need for my pets.

I love shopping at Pets Plus in Medford. Everyone is always so helpful and their prices are always very good (coupons). Plus they will match online pricing. They have a self service Dog Wash too. Much neater then doing it at home.I highly recommend them.

Hands down the Best pet supply store on long Island!! Kelly the store manager ALWAYS goes ABOVE AND BEYOND with her customers!!!! I bought 2 parakeets for my daughter on 4/12 she helped us out because we’re new to having birds. She was so informative ,sweet and kind. I’ve shopped at other stores and the service doesn’t compare to the service I receive with Kelley and her staff. Whenever she sees me and my daughter Always so friendly !!!! I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. It’s always so hard to find great service!!! I will only shop at this location because of kelly and her team. Thank you

We love Hannah Garguilo. Great job with our golden doodle Daisy for the past 4 years. Mention Hannah to Daisy and she goes wild. Hannah is caring and well mannered and always a smile.

They said my dogs rabies vaccination was expired in their system, but we had never been there before, so I had to take my dog home get the vaccination letter, brought it back & then they said that my wife made an appointment online for a bath & brush & not a full groom. My wife actually called & made a full grooming appointment for our small Yorkshire Terrier-French Bulldog mix. I said I did what you asked about getting proof of my dogs rabies vaccination & since he was a small dog, was there was no way to fit him in. Their reply was rude, annoyed, & indifferent. Would definitely never recommend this place for anything...

I visited this store twice in the past week. I found the store well-stocked, clean and easily accessible. I met the store manager, Kelly, who is very friendly and nice and she helped me as she looked for something on the store shelf while I held on the telephone- and guess what? She had it. All the other staff is equally nice and helpful. This is my new pet store. I recommend you give it a try.

My father brought my Australian Shepherd here and this was possibly the 2nd worst haircut she’s ever had. I’m upset I let my old man make the executive decision to bring her here, but at the same time any place that offers grooming services should know that you NEVER shave a double coated dog. This is an absolute butcher job.

Came here close to closing on a whim to grab some dog food and probiotics. Worker, Sam, was very helpful in helping me locate just what I needed and offered to take the large bag of dog food to the car. Of course, I declined but that was very nice seeing I have been here several times before and that was never offered. Even though it was close to closing, I never felt rushed to make a decision or check out. Definitely recommend as this store has a large selection of pet food, snacks, toys, and a grooming station.

My sweet cavapoo Benny got a full grooming done by Hailey! He looks amazing and he feels so good to. Was done within 2 hours of drop off smelling wonderful!! I will be seeing you in a couple of months for his next groom . Thank you!!

This store has a big variety of all kinds of things for cats, dogs, rabbits, etc. Join the rewards and get coupons for 25 % off regular things and 20% off of grooming . They have helpful and patient people working there..its got all kinds of toys for your fur babies of all kinds...worth the trip!!! I love it there.

The first time we came here they cut our dogs hairs perfectly.The second time we came here we asked for a short trim but they shave my dogs hair off and my cousins aswell.And some places are uneven and some places are cut when we specifically said not to cut because the dog would move.Our dogs don’t look the same, they be goofyNever coming again

I never write reviews but today I felt the need to. First and foremost, I shop here weekly and the employees are so beyond friendly, welcoming and helpful, no matter the day or time. But today, I overheard an employee/or manager speaking with a (rather unruly) customer who was attempting to buy multiple goldfish for one bowl and was not understanding that that was not only unethical, but not possible as the fish wouldn’t survive. The customer could not grasp why they couldn’t do this and was giving the employee a rather hard time. The employee handled this situation with grace for the customer and respect for the animal and in the nicest way humanly possible, refused to sell the fish to the man. I feel as though most other pet stores would sell these fish with no questions asked, but this earned great respect for me as this employee truly cared about what people would say are “just fish”. As a fellow animal lover, I am proud to shop here after what I heard today!

This is by far the worst pet store I have ever been to in my entire life. The employees were all EXTREMELY rude and had no manners whatsoever. They even had the audacity to curse in front of customers. I simply wanted to enjoy the task of shopping for a new puppy and this store had completely ruined it. Simply shameful, I hope I never have to see these employees or this store ever again. Please shop somewhere else. Also to add on, the employee named Jason was by far the worst of all. I really hope he finds it in his heart to fix his attitude. I have never known a person who had such negative comments to a customer.

Went here to use self serve dog wash after I took my dog to a nearby beach. No towels, clogged drains in the wash, they don’t clean after each wash and leave the area dangerously slippery for everyone - both humans and dogs…The aprons were soaking wet, the brush usually available to help de-shed dogs are full of other dog hairs… majorly need a manager to step up and perform basic cleaning .

My wife and I buy dog food from this store every two weeks for our three dogs and have always had a great experience... One employee in particular has helped us beyond belief on multiple occasions!! Annabell in the Medford store is extremely welcoming and sweet every time we’d see her at the store.We had a tight schedule today and was running out of dog food so we decided to try out the free delivery option Pet Supplies Plus offers and was surprised to see Annabell on my home cameras dropping off our food. Annabell carried 50ish pounds of food up 6 steps to our front door and even denied my neighbors help to bring it up. She went above and beyond when even Amazon delivery drivers leave my big packages at the bottom of my stairs. Thank you Annabell for all your continued help!!!

Absolutely LOVE this pet store !! Best one I’ve been too in forever ! Love love love James and Nadine they are so knowledgeable and always so on top of everything ! They are such a pleasure ! It’s great when I go and one or both of them are there ! Last time I didn’t wanna go out I went to order from chewy but their delivery time was too long and sure enough I went here and they comped the price for me so I paid they same price I would for chewy ! They excel my expectations every time ! Keep up the great work y’all !!

I’m not sure about some of the bad reviews here. I’ve had nothing but wonderful interactions with the staff. I use their same day delivery service and it’s been amazing. The drivers/delivery people are always so nice, they leave adorable notes for me and my pets. I love this store.

Went into this pet shop tonight for the first time and had the pleasure with speaking to Claire & the supervisor. ( forgot his name ) They were absolutely so helpful and professional. From the minute I walked in till the min I left I felt right at home! They answered all my questions. Claire was a sweetheart & loved my little chloe !!!!!!!! Definitely will be coming back!

My dog has severe anxiety. Grooming has always been difficult or non existent....until my dog met Sam! She goes out of her way to schedule him at the right times to minimize his anxiety and takes her time with him. She never pushes or makes him uncomfortable. She’s awesome with him and it’s the only place where he has been okay. Sam is so good with him ❤️ I can’t say enough good things. I moved and I’ll drive the 35 minutes to continue to go to her.

I was so happy when this store finally opened up by me!! The staff are all so friendly and helpful and I only shop and PSP. The store looks really nice and clean and everyone always has a smile and welcomes you as you come in.

Only been a few times but staff is consistently friendly and knowledgeable, curbside service is excellent if youre in a time crunch!! Prices are much better than the larger chains and they always have good sales on things my cat likes.

I have both my dogs groomed there on a refular basis, Sam in the grooming department is amazing. Shes great with my dogs and really cares about her clients.

Great place for my cat’s food as it’s the only place that carries a good selection of her food otherwise I have to wait a couple of days to weeks for Amazon or Chewy to deliver it

Danielle is an amazing dog groomer! I have 3 dogs which she pampers and gives them the exact hair cut perfect for our dogs.

Not welcoming on my first visit to this store. Too strict to sell fish. I felt like the sales man was interrogating me when I was simply trying to buy one fish for my son.Meanwhile I use to work in a pet store in the past and my husband knows how to take care of fish.Youre suppose to make customers feel welcomed. I do not appreciate this horrible experience and just for that, I will NOT recommend this store to my family and friends. I never will step foot in the store again.My husband ended up taking our son to Petco in Selden and that was a much better experience. All we wanted to do was make our son happy.

Staff is amazing and knowledgeable! Very clean and well organized.

I know no other pet store that gives such attention to a customer when they come in. Always a good morning or hello when I come in and can I help you with anything. The Puppy Parties all the greatest thing for a young dog to meet and greet other dogs his own age Im sure to bring my Duncan there again for the next one which actually is today. Hope to see everyone there that came last time we will have tons of fun. Thank you to all the staff that makes this event an awesome place to go to hang out and make friends.

Today I decided to take my gigantor dog (Shepsky who heavily favors his GSD side) here for their self-serve dog washing service. I called and asked if there was availability and I was able to come in right away- I was coming straight from the dog park where my dude was rolling around in the dirt and getting slobbered on. He was FILTHY!!!! Lol. Pet Supplies Plus provides EVERYTHING YOU NEED- towels, shampoo, a leash so your dog doesn’t run away from the water, and of course a blow dryer. Apollo, while not a lover of baths, did so well here and I’m so grateful that they provide these services, and for an amazing price too ($40 for 5 washes, why go ANYWHERE else???). Thank you to the sweet employee Danie for helping me and Apollo out!!!! Apollo is beautifully fluffy and smells amazing.Also, PS- to the lovely woman (customer) who bought my dog a bag of treats and specialty bakery doggie donut “just because”, THANK YOU!!!!
