Our Dogs favourite place away from home! Marcel (the owner) is so nice and takes amazing care of our dog.

The service and and staff were really nice and understanding. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the grooming . I went in this morning to have my dog groomed and specifically asked for a sanitary cut in which the groomer did but most of the cut just turned out uneven and it looks like the groomer didn’t even try to blend out the hair, just cut it and left it. I saw the good reviews that papaws had and I convinced myself that my dog haircut wouldn’t turn out so bad but to say the least I was upset and disappointed on how his haircut turned out.

I love what these guys did with my pooch. The last groomers completely ruins the look of my dog and shaved her body and flattened her head. I explained what I was looking for and these guys, they heard me, and they transformed my little pooch into a beautiful proper girl. She didnt reak of some crazy cheap perfume, She just looked and smelled clean and beautiful. I will definitely be returning to Papaws Dog House!! I gave them 5 stars but they are a definite 10 in my book!

Marcell and the team at Papaws are the best! I live in the city, but bring my dog whenever I need boarding or just to give him time to play. They really care about the health and wellness of dogs and are always educated on the latest new toys, treats, and products. I cannot recommend papaws enough! You will not be disappointed bringing your dog here.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Marcel and his amazing team at Papaw’s. Everyone who works there is so kind and professional and the space is very clean. Our girl started going to daycare with them when she was only 4 months old and has loved every minute of it. When I drop her off she practically pulls my arm off every morning because she is so excited to go play with her friends. It’s so clear that she is well loved by the entire staff and loves them just as much back. They go above and beyond with their pickup/drop off service as well. It’s such a lifesaver whenever we leave the house or return home before/after Papaw’s opens/closes. I don’t know what we’d do without them.

The most awesome experience from initial call to the grooming service !! My dogs are definitely feisty!!!! The groomer Iggy was so Zen!! So patient !! The front desk staff was compassionate and extremely welcoming!! I cannot wait for my next appointment!!!

My experience with both the groomer, and the daycare staff has been wonderful. My standard poodle looks her best and my large German shepherd, husky mix is able to play with other dogs for the 3 to 4 hours that it takes for my Poodle to get groomed. I feel completely comfortable leaving my dogs here. I highly recommend them.

I brought my puppy there in January (not months ago) for a bath and my concern with the place started right when I walked in. The place smelt absolutely horrible and I understand that it is a boarding place also and it will not smell amazing. But the place should not have a horrible stench of urine right when you walk in. They asked to move up my appointment an hour earlier which was fine thinking to make more time for my sisters dogs appointment which was right after my dogs. Unfortunately, they cancelled my sisters dogs appointment without telling either myself or my sister only to find out the groomer wanted to leave early that night but didn’t make an issue and rescheduled for a simple bath for my sister dog (not what was originally scheduled). When my sister brought her dog in that following weekend, the groomer was absolutely rude to my sister and when she told me that he had a horrible attitude and was passive aggressive I agreed with her as he was not too friendly with me either when I brought my puppy in. The reason why I am posting a review now is because I don’t like writing negative reviews but someone in my apartment building just brought her dog there for the first time and told me about her bad experience so I figured I should write one anyway so the owner is aware on how the employees are running the business. I know some people who had a great experience here before they changed locations, unfortunately my sister and myself did not have a great experience and we both will not be going back.

My dog has gone to Papaws since she was a pup. She LOVES getting dropped off in the mornings and spending time with her fur friends. You can tell she has lots of fun as she always comes home and takes a nap. Sometimes on our walks we will see staff members within the town. Our pup gets crazy excited when she sees them, which shows how much she loves the staff.The owner Marcell has always been very accommodating, making sure our dog was taken care of whether that be during overnights, when she needed meals during the day, or when she needed her nails trimmed. We love Papaws!

I have been blessed to find Papaw’s Dog House. When we moved to Rockland County, I was super concerned of where my dog Lucy could go to have some fun in a safe environment. She is a big goofy puppy with A LOT of energy! From the very first time she went, she was so excited! Papaw’s is a super clean and spacious indoor environment, that provides supervised fun time for our fur babies. They have a separate, but equally spacious space for smaller dogs. Dogs get to have some fun playing around, but also get walked throughout the day. The owner Marcell is amazing and responsive, and the entire team is pretty great as well. They offer grooming and supplies too! The times I have been in a pinch in terms of pick-up or drop-off, Marcell has been kind enough to come pick up Lucy from the house, or have someone drop her back off at closing. I would HIGHLY recommend Papaw’s Dog House, and have been a happy customer for the last few years. Oooh and I even have some art work that Lucy did during Marcell’s dog’s birthday (yep doggy art work).

This review is only in regard to the doggy daycare services-Marcell, the owner, seems to be a very caring person but unfortunately some of the staff do not seem to be very present or communicative. My dog had an injury during the timeframe of her stay there, but nothing was relayed to me when I picked her up, and no one informed Marcell afterwards that I had called to discussed the injury.Marcell did eventually get back to me and was gracious in his correspondences, but I dont believe I will be leaving my dog here again. He also attempted to provide me with a refund but there were some issues with the bank/authorization but that wasnt his fault. Ultimately I can only speak to my experience, and I do not think the doggy day care service was a good fit for us; Am just grateful that my pup is doing okay and that I at least got a response back.

We love PaPaws! Marcel is very kind and professional. IGGY is the best groomer! Hes so sweet to my big girl, and she always comes home beautiful, fluffy, and happy.

I had the best experience. They took my pit bull in and treated her with the respect as they would any other dog. They also cut my wearied hair and it was adorable. I will be going back and highly recommend them.

We booked a walk in nail trim for my dog Tilda SweetFoot. Shes terrible when it comes to getting her nails done. But the groomer met her at the door, made her as comfy as possible, and they did the moonwalk into the grooming area. But that I mean, she pulled the entire time, resisting. But after a few minutes she returned, happy and all buffed up. The groomer said that he just needed to take it slow with her, but that she was a good girl. Which was soooo nice to hear, because most return her all annoyed and mad that shes so difficult. One even said she wouldnt cut her nails anymore. So papaws definitely has the touch. I cant thank you all enough. We will be back for a trim soon again.

MUST READ: I hope this review isnt too long. But let me start this off by saying this is THE BEST doggy daycare place in all of NY state. Lauren and Marcell the owner are amazing and very accommodating for all your needs. I had such a good feeling about Pawpaws Dog House from the minute I walked in there. They gave me and my puppy the warmest welcome. You can tell by the atmosphere how much they care about the dogs that sign up. Also, have a variety of supplies too if you might need to grab something on the way out ! My puppy Honey enjoys going here so much and we cant wait to use their services again. The greatest thing you can ever do is send your fur-baby to this center, I can guarantee you that :) thank you for everything !

Highly Recommend!!! This place is very clean and has a friendly atmosphere. We took our puppy Zander for his first grooming session today and had a wonderful experience. Frances (Groomer) is the best! She is very experienced, knowledgeable and very kind. This definitely is the best place if you are planning to groom your pet.

We discovered Papaws when they first opened. Their store is incredible with thoughtful safe products and treats for your dog. The owner, Marcel is knowledgeable about all them and is always smiles.I had to travel this past weekend and decided to take advantage of his at home sitting and day care.He was so great, sharing updates, photos and videos of my dog. When I got back she didn’t even want to leave and made new friends at day camp.We’re so thrilled they opened in the neighborhood.

WARNING !!! Please do not bring your dog here for overnight boarding !!!My dog was not fed the food we brought for her to be fed. She has a mix of wet in it or else she would not eat the dry food alone. The owner claims my dog was fed the dry food they give every dog. I know that my dog would not eat dry food alone.So, my dog did not eat at all for 3 days. No one called me to tell me my dog was not eating either. I am sure my dog did not eat any food for the 3 days. When my dog was picked up she was lethargic and sick ( throwing up ) all night. She drank larger than normal amounts of water. When I called the owner, all he could do is apologize and tell me this never ever happens at his place.He eventually issued a refund of what was paid. Money can not replace how my dog was treated how sick she was.I recommend that you never bring your dog there for boarding !!!

You definitely do not want to go to this place for grooming if you have a long-haired dog. I was offered an ultimatum of complete shave or nothing at all for my Bernese Mountain dog. I unfortunately was unable to pick up my dog, because I was a 1/2 hour away and about to enter my doctors office, so I reluctantly said to go ahead. I had no idea how bad it would turn out. My dog is now constantly cold and isnt at all himself. I fear that he will get sick due to being chilled because of the lack of fur and also that he will get sunburned when outdoors. This breed is never supposed to be shaved. They refused to just shave out the mats and leave the rest of his fur. I had a terrible experience, but I still paid them the $130 that they charged and left a tip, because I understand how tough this job is and how hard it is to run a business. But beware of this place, unless your dog is very short-haired. Another customer who went there with a Bernese Mountain dog has told me (after the fact) that he wouldnt go back there, because his dog developed hot spots after being groomed there.

Do not bring your pet here! Owner is rude and likes to harassing people in public. Very rude! 0 stars!

Marcel at the counter was friendly and professional. We had one of our Goldens get the works, she looked better than we expected, love the trim! I forgot to get the groomers name, but he rocks! Thank you!

Im very happy to say we were very pleased with the services provided by the staff at Papaws Dog House. Our little guy Miles was well looked after by the team. I highly recommend Papaws to my fellow neighbors here in Nyack who are in search for a home away from home for their precious furry family member. The place is incredible clean and with a cozy environment. Both groomers are amazing, very professional and lovely to the dogs. The owner of the place, is always there, and I have to be honest, I’ve never found any place that treated my dog better than me lol. I trust and recommend 100%!

They take great care of our Buggati and he looks forward to seeing them. They check his food and water and make sure he is comfy if its hot They turn on the fans etc.

We LOVE Papaws! We know Biz is well taken care of and when I tell you that he drags me into the place, I mean it. When I say “do you want to go to Papaws”, my dog loses it! They’re a great addition to Nyack!

If you love you’re Dog DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE !!!!!!!!!! I took my dog a few times then I started noticing a change in his behavior. He did not seem happy and he had marks around his neck. It looked as if the Caller was being yanked. My dog seems very traumatized now I will never bring my dog their again

Wonderful place to send any dog for a day of playing and grooming. Theybare friendly and accommodating a great addition to the Nyack community. Our Malfoy loves it there.

Papaw’s has been wonderful with both our dogs. They take care of them while we are away and come to our house for weekly walks. The pups look forward to their visits!

My puppy loves papaws dog house so much! The people there are super friendly and professional, the place is very neat and super clean, and you can even buy dog food, treats, etc right on the spot. Totally recommend!

The friendliest and best staff ever! Zoey looooved Iggy , Daria and Marcell. She had a great time playing with the other dogs after her 1st bath ever! It was clean and everyone was very loving with Zoey and all of the other dogs. I highly recommend for dog grooming, cleaning and boarding! My mom has two rescue and one of them can be difficult when it comes to grooming but Frances does an incredible job keeping Max calm and under control during his grooming service. Lucy is very old and the TLC she get from the papaws is incredible highly recommend for grooming and camp!!!!
