Preppy Pet Rockland

We were going overseas for 2 weeks and our pet sitter backed out. My son was worried about his Bearded Dragon, Xerxes. Jeff was available at short notice for us to come and ok the spot that Xerxes would have while we were away. He was very understanding with a nervous 14 year old! When we came backto drop her off, he had even researched more info online about Bearded Dragons - she was his first one! While we were away he texted pics and updates. He had to cut fresh food daily and remember to turn on and off different lights/heaters each morning and evening. Jeff was wonderful and saved the day. Xerxes did great and we were able to enjoy our trip. Thanks Jeff!! We will definitely use Preppy Pet again!

Our Jack Russell rescue is an active, high energy dog, who needed to learn basic commands and also how to play with other dogs. Weve been bringing him to Jeff every Saturday for about six months for socialization and basic training. Our little buddy has become much less aggressive with other dogs and now sits without me having to tell him to! We bring him up to Preppy Pet (from the Bronx!) every week because we know he. Is. Loved, trained and has a great time! We’ve also used the boarding services. Jeff’s prices are great and the service can’t be beat! Jeff is flexible and he and the staff truly care about the dogs. If your dog needs a day to run around and play and “just be a dog”, bring him to Jeff. Your pooch will come home, drink from his bowl and call it a night! 🐾🐶🐾

Jeff takes care of my dog on all vacation trips throughout the year . He sends me videos and pictures to put me at ease that my Rosie is happy . Jeff is very personable and attentive to my dogs needs . Reasonable priced and good service !

My dogs Daisy and Tippy came here multiple times for boarding day care and baths the staff was great! and very kind they did a great job with the bath and nail clippings and even sent me pictures!

I’ve been boarding my two dogs, Nigel and Lily at Preppy Pet over the last few years. Jeff has always been super reliable and accommodating. Each time I pick the dogs up they are happy, well fed, and tired from playing. When I drop them off to stay at preppy pet they don’t even look back, they are so excited to return to hang out with their friend Jeff & co. We will definitely miss them as we move out of state but are happy to know how loved and cared for Nigel & Lily were during their many stays at Preppy Pet.

My baby boy loves going to daycare here! Whenever he realizes we are on the way he howls and howls. Once we arrive he drags me to the door. He love being able to play with other pups. Preppy Pet is the only daycare, boarding, and grooming provider that we would choose.

My go to for dog boarding ! Jeff the owner loves his animals and takes good care of my dog pepper. Staff is super friendly. Been going for couple years now! Pepper loves it!

Our two dachshunds have had many wonderful stays with Preppy Pet!Preppy Pet owner, Jeff, gave great care to our senior dogs, making sure to follow all best practices for keeping them healthy and safe.They really love all pets and all feel welcome.With typical boarding structure, filled with many dogs, cats, and others, you will probably smell the clients, thats a good thing-no toxic disinfectants or perfumes, you can leave your pets with ease of mind, they are safe and in good company!

We have been dropping our pit bull Cocoa at Preppy Pup for around a year now. People get nervous when they see pit bulls and unfairly judge them based on their reputations (not going to call out any other day cares in the area by name…….). That is not the case with Jeff and the staff at Preppy Pup. The whole team treats Cocoa for who she is, a very loving, happy and playful girl who doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body….though she still has endless amounts of puppy energy!Cocoa is always so excited to go. When we ask her “do you want to go see Jeff today?” she instantly “smiles” and shakes her butt and when we pick her up she is completely exhausted from a day of play!

I’m so happy I found Preppy Pet Nanuet.It was a professional , affordable, quality , and reliable boarding home for our doggies. They spent 11 days here in which they were given plenty of open play time as well as attention as needed. I like this boarding because the owner is personable , responsive, committed , and really cares about the animals in his care. We were given updates during their stay and the owner Jeffery was always responsive if we had questions about how our doggies were doing. We definitely missed them but when we picked them up we could tell they were well taken care of and had plenty of exercise while we were away. Thanks!

Jeff & Antonio are awesome and I would 100% bring my dog back. They helped me in a last minute pinch by taking in my golden retriever for some group play. She had a blast for a few hours. Great spot!

I was nervous dropping off my 3 dogs as they have never been to daycare or have been separated from us before. My dogs have separation anxiety but the staff was super friendly and very accommodating. We paid for a session of bath time and they made sure the dogs would be clean before pickup even though we had to add on additional nights last minute due to us moving between houses. I would recommend everyone to take their dogs here!

Jeff who is the owner is really down to earth guy. He makes your dog and yourself feel welcome. His staff are very pleasant to your dog. They did a great job on siberian husky with his under coat and the shedding. I am looking forward to using the kennel for when I go away next month.I would like to say what a great time Simba has when boarded him there in October of 2022 with Jeff and his staff. I had no worries cause I knew my dog was in good hands. Plus Jeff sent me pictures and videos of my dog on a daily basis. When it was time to pick Simba up Jeff and his staff made sure to give Simba a bath so he was all nice and clean. They even made sure his bed with clean too. Jeff and his staff never disappoint me when I bring my dog there for dog day care.Thanks Jeff and staff for taking such good care of my dog while he is there with ya’ll. You need a good place to bring your baby contact Jeff and his team. Trust me you won’t be sorry you did.

I was in need of a dog daycare and kenneling one weekend and being new to NY, I had no idea where to bring my dogs. I stumble across Preppy Pet while searching Google and it was the very inexpensive fee that first caught my eye. Then when I personally went over there and met the owner , Jeff, I was sold. Hes a very friendly person and my dogs took to him right away. He provided me with a tour of the place and it was very spacious and clean. Since that initial encounter, I have started bringing my dogs to preppy pet for daycare once a week. They love it! I would highly recommend this place

So glad we found this Preppy Pet Rockland for our 3 year old Siberian husky named Simba. Simba really enjoys going there and playing with his friends for the day. The owner Jeff is a real animal lover. When you bring your fur baby you can rest in peace knowing your baby is in good hands cause Jeff treats each dog as his own. When we boarded our dog there Jeff was so kind to send pictures and videos on a daily basis. Jeff is really good also when it comes to grooming your fur baby. I would highly recommend Preppy Pet Rockland to anyone who is looking for a place to bring their fur baby. My dog goes down at least 2 to 3 times a week and comes home very tired. I’ve been bringing my pup Nova to Preppy Pet ever since his first stay. Nova is always so happy and clean when I pick him up (not to mention tuckered out from too much fun!). Jeff and his team are so caring, trusting, professional, and ensure that the pets’ needs are met and more. They’re also very flexible and make sure any of your concerns are met. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible daycare of boarding for their dogs at an affordable cost!

My experience has been wonderful. Jeff has been very helpful and accommodating. The facility was clean and very friendly. He even accommodated my dog in a very short notice. My dog was happy! I would recommend.

The smell is horrific. My dog was filthy. They did not wash bed as advertised online and in person. I was charged for 9 days of play but my dog was there 7. My dogs bed was shredded and smelled 100 percent of ....... we dumped it in dumpster outside and went straight to petsmart for a new bed, collar, leash and shampoo to bathe the dog. He smelled terrible despite a bath we paid for. Jeff is super sweet and the staff sent pictures of my dog to me during hos stay. They even got him acclimated to other dogs which we have not been able to do. So 3 stars because we had good and bad feelings about the place.

I am very pleased with this establishment. The owner and staff are very professional from drop off to pick up. They treat your dog as though they are part of the family. We have boarded our all most 3 year old husky there for a week in octobeter of last year. The owner was nice enough to send us videos and pictures on a d aily basis. I would highly recommend bringing your dog here for a great time.

Jeff and his staff have always been wonderful caring for my dog. They are genuinely appreciative of your business and do whatever it takes to make you and your pet happy, whether short notice or reservations in advance. Very accomodating and conveniently located to drop off and pick up traveling to and from your destinations.

Preppy Pet is great left my pup Boogie there over the weekend and he was left in great hands. His leash was misplaced Jeff made it his business to replace it and bought a new one. Great customer service friendly staff and they took care of my pup as if it was there own. Thank you so much guys you have a forever customer

I had the pleasure of meeting Jeffrey, the owner of Preppy Pet, at a dog run the day prior to our overnight getaway. My pleas on Facebook for a dogsitter were unsuccessful and I was running out of options. It was as if Jeffrey was a Godsend. He was incredibly accommodating and accepted my unneutered frenchie in less than 24 hours notice. Check in was easy and effortless and the dogs there all seemed happy and well socialized. When I picked up my dog the following day, he was relaxing in a play pen with another dog. He was happy, well fed, and smelled amazing. The staff that I met were all sweet and I have no hesitation in using Preppy Pet again.I typically dont write reviews, but I felt inclined to because I would love to see this small business owner doing well. There is ample amount of designated parking just a couple of feet from the door. He also has package deals that bring down the cost per visit.

Very happy with our boarding experience. Jeff focused on making them comfortable right away and sent us videos every day of our dogs Skye and Rayne.

We have followed Preppy Pet to Orangeburg from Nanuet where it all began 7 years ago. Jeff is very dedicated to every animal in his care and enduring that they have the best day possible. This includes dogs, cats, birds, practically any animal will be cared for as if it was his own.

Jeff was very friendly and accommodating when I had to board my puppy while visiting family in Tuxedo. We thought we might be a little late for a Sun eve pickup but he eased our minds and told us not to rush & how to get in touch with him. Jax was happy & slept the whole way home to LI! Please support this new business~the owner has put a lot of time and thought into everything and was a pleasure to work with. Large pens & Indoor/outdoor facilities too😀

* I had to edit this review after picking up my puppy. My first step inside the place, wearing sandals was right into a puddle of urine. The smell of the location is absolutely obscene, to the point where I had to wait outside more than 10 minutes until someone finally came and responded to my knocking. Through the chaotic process of checkout, I had to drive all the way home with every window open because Casper smelt like a horse stable! The fluffy sleeping mat I left in the bag for him to sleep on was not used and the employee quickly said that they washed it sparkling clean before I got there. It was clearly far from the truth. I am mortified at the thought what his experience was like. The whole place was absolutely filthy!!*I am blessed to have found such a place that is accommodating whenever my family and I are in need. Casper seems pretty content with his stays and will be returning when in need again!

Preppy Pet of Nanuet is simply outstanding! I can not say enough wonderful things about the owner, Jeffrey! He was so accommodating and professional. I took my guinea pig, George to Preppy Pet which was supposed to be for a week and I had a change of plans. Jeffrey was so understanding, flexible, and helpful and was more than happy to care for my George even if it was for the night. I can not wait to bring George back! What a wonderful business and what an outstanding owner!

Dropped off our dog for a trial before boarding and to our surprise, he was socializing with new dog friends by the time we picked him up. We feel much more at ease with his upcoming overnights!

Left my Morkie with them for three and a half weeks in July. I really have to say that i was uncomfortable leaving him anywhere for that lenghth of time. I am happy to say that Milo was well cared for and happy interacting with the staff and other dogs. I would trust them with my pet any time i need to be away . CBK

Won’t take my dog anywhere else. The customer service was excellent. Prices were more than affordable. Most of all the whole staff seemed like they genuinely cared about my dogs best interest. Highly recommend them!!!

This is a good and very clean place. I leave my mini poodle here everyday and he jumps with joy in the mornings when i say day care and i pick him up at the end of the day exhausted from all the play he get . Caring people running the place.

They charge for group play without permission and their grooming is a joke - just water is not a bath. NoCameras and major turn around to his staff due to the lack of… towards his employees.

When I had no one to leave my dog with for a couple of days, I was advised by a friend to come here. All dogs are treated well, my dog was satisfied with his stay here.

Preppy Pet (Orangeburg location, formerly located in Nanuet) has made a huge impression on me and my husband. After searching high and low to find a trusting place to board our sweet female German shepherd, handsome male German shepherd, and smiley male Golden Retriever we decided on Preppy Pet. From the first initial phone call, they were very patient when answering our list of questions and concerns. They were very reassuring and made us feel that we are bringing our dogs to a place that will treat them like their own. The drop off was very smooth, as Jeff and his staff took our dogs in one by one to get used to their temporary home for the next several weeks. Jeff (who is the owner) spent as much time as we needed going through the specific feeding directions for our three dogs, as one of our German shepherds needs special medication administered in order for her body to properly digest her food. Shortly after drop off, Jeff and his staff would send us videos and photos of our dogs. I could tell they were having a great time from the start, by their ear to ear smiles and wagging tails. I knew we had chosen the best place for our dogs to be well cared for. You can tell that the staff truly loves animals. The love and compassion could be felt right through the videos. I am so happy we chose Preppy Pet to board our 3 dogs, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for services that they offer. (They also offer services such as grooming, and day care!) Boarding your animals is never easy, but Preppy Pet made it so much better for us. They are very reasonably priced, they are very honest, and they have the best team! Thank you to everyone at Preppy Pet! We will be returning in the future! 5 + stars!!!!

We left our dog for 5 weeks. Our dog sitter failed in the last minute and we heard about Jeffrey, from a friend who let her dog last summer, and she was really happy with them.We cant say enough good things about this place and the people that work in it. They love animals and they take care of them. Our dog was super happy, clean and healthy when we picked him up today.During these weeks they sent us pics, videos, and they texted, explaining all we wanted to know about our dog.I do believe we made the best choice. We will repeat again for sure.

Walked in and walked out...the smell tells you its not clean the minute you open the door, and the cacophony of barking is almost unbearable.

My dogs love this place -super clean and not over crowded as many others are near by-prices are very competitive
