Hollywood Dog Rescue

Kind folks who care for dogs and help them get adopted. We got a lovely puppy from here, it was great meeting the mama and seeing her many siblings. It was nice to meet her mom because we saw all the sweet qualities she had which gave us a clue about the family personality. Our puppy is healthy and happy, also gorgeous and well socialized! We are so glad we went with this rescue.

We purchased a pup 4 yrs ago from Liz and jack.. we picked a girl named Penny when we left with her we stopped at tractor supply for puppy food...well we had her in the shopping cart and as soon as we left the store she jumped out and ran.( pup was 6 months old). Dobie mix. We ran after her but never caught her. We called Liz and her and her family all rushed down to help. After a few days thank God Penny came out for Liz. This was a very scary time as tractor supply is off of main rd. Okay Long story short we ended up taking her sister..penny made it crystal clear she was staying with Jack and Liz. We were very blessed that Penny was found unharmed. To this day we still keep in touch with Liz... and when I see Penny I say do you remember me.

I wish I could give 0 stars. We rescued a dog and he grew to 45 Lbs. We put in a fence for him, spent hours playing with him, we gave him opportunity to socialize with people and other animals, took him monthly for baths and nail trims. He is spoiled in every way. Then we had a bbq and he bit and broke skin on a guest and bit down on my husband and would not release. We have two small children and cannot risk having him around them. We called Liz and explained the situation and even though she offered to assist if he wasn’t a good match, she refused to take him back. Now she will not even answer our calls. Do not go to Holywood Rescue for a family dog. Liz will let you adopt a damaged animal and will not disclose their background or help you if they become aggressive.

I picked up a puppy 2 years ago, who was incredibly sick with a hookworm. I found the place to be filthy. My dog smelled of urine, and was malnourished. As I drove in to pick her up, 7 dogs ran in front of my car, and as I slowed down, the woman called me a p**sy for not hitting the dogs with my car. I was immediately distrustful of her and her intentions. To find out she has been shut down is a blessing to these animals. As much as I didnt want to give her money for this dog, I was glad I was able to get her out of a place that didnt seem to care for dogs, but took your money.

Ten months ago we adopted our rescue dog Lily. Could not have been happier with the way we were treated by Liz and company.Lily is the perfect addition to our family.Hollywood Dog Rescue rescued us.

If i could give zero stars I would. Alleged deworming and vaccinations, yet my dog had fleas and tapeworms & needed an emergency vet visit the morning after I got him. Lied about the age and neutering him, another cost to me. This place is unsafe and should be out of business

Liz and Hollywood dog rescue save many animals. If the dog becomes ill after adoption they take care of it. They would never adopt sick puppy if they were aware of a sickness.

I got my brandy girl a few years ago and would never change anything. They were very respectful and clean. Thank you! She is great with kids and loves people!

Do not and I mean do not go to this place. They sell sick dogs and don’t tell anyone about it. Owners are the worst

I wish I could give zero stars!!!! We adopted a dog in September from this “rescue”. They knew our dog was sick but failed to tell us until we found out from our vet, our dog had Parvo 24 hours after owning him. We later found out they knew other dogs in the same liter were sick and some even died and yet again they failed to tell us. When we told them our dog was in the animal hospital, they could careless and offered us our adoption fee back, great $450.00 back… but our vet bills were over $7,000.00. Our vet also told us that parvo can live on surfaces for over a year even if properly sanitized, we week after our puppies liter was gone, Hollywood got new unvaccinated puppies?! Not very responsible and I’m sure they failed to tell the adopters. To me they are far from a rescue.. they are putting puppies lives at risk and some even lost their lives…. VERY IRRESPONSIBLE! After all this I’ve learned they had this reputation but changed their rescues name. Ridiculous!! I do not recommend HOLLYWOOD “rescue”.

Great rescue. They were able to rehome my cocker spaniel Toby to a 6 acre farm, where he had another cocker friend to play with. I had sold my house and him being high energy my apartment was too small.

Adopted a beautiful dog from her, i recommend checking it out
