Adirondack Pet Lodge

My wife and I went to Florida 5/9 - 5/23/22, so we were looking for some place that had a separate space to board cats. Due to covid concerns we were not allowed to go in to see the cats space, but Border Patrol boarded their dogs there and were allowed to come & go without masks. Upon calling to check on our cats well being during his stay, the manager said, If I havent called you he is all right. I thought this was rude. When we picked up our cat on 5/23 we noticed that he had a tick attached to his head. Upon further inspection we found two more tick bites on him. (See pics) The next morning the cat was sick & throwing up so we had to take him to the vet where we found he had an infection and fever. When we called the Pet Lodge to inform them of our concerns we were treated rudely by the person that we talked to. Our cat didnt have fleas or tics when we dropped him off & they did reimburse us for the stay but in good concience I can not recommend this place for a place to board cats.

I love the options and I kennel my dog here as there arent any other options in our area but, I wish the staff were friendly and welcoming but their not they dont communicate anything.

The Adirondack Pet Lodge is where our dogs stay whenever we go out of town. Our dogs get a large, private kennel with outdoor access & get to play with other dogs at “daycare” during the day. Having the luxury of watching our boys 24/7 is just an added bonus. The kennels are cleaned regularly & the staff even goes above & beyond to bathe our dogs & trim their nails before sending them home. They even takes pictures of the dogs & post them on their Facebook page for you to view. We can’t recommend this place enough. Our boys love it there & we always feel comfortable leaving them for extended stays.

Our Bella goes here for doggie daycare regularly. They offer a day spa too for shampoo and nails. They have an online cam so you can check in on your dog(s) too. Super friendly, not too expensive. We love it. Oh, and they offer boarding for when you go out of town and cant take your dog with you.

These people gave me a lame excuse for why I was not able to enter the building to pick up my cats, who had to be there for 3 weeks in an extreme emergency! First, they said it was because of Covid- on February 22, 2024! I said, Fine, give me a mask, no problem. Then they said, No, were understaffed. They wouldnt even let me see what I owed! I have no idea what they charged me, and I am angry and upset. I went to their website when I got home and saw that they had pet webcams, and it looked like these poor animals were living in a RUSSIAN gulag! IBurst into tears. Now I see why they wouldnt let me in. Both my cats also had lost weight. I am not making this up.

We love ADK. Pet Lodge both for doggy daycare and boarding. Hours are very accommodating and employees are friendly and great with the dogs. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and safe check-in. Beautiful facilities!Friendly workers! I had forgotten treats and toys for my two babies and they allowed me to bring them back a short while later with no complaints! We have two German Shepherds that can be quite home sick but I know they will be happy there which makes vacation that much more enjoyable. Thank you!

Nice to have a place to leave our cat when we need. There are cameras so you can check in on your pet periodically.However, our cat developed a sickness shortly after staying here. It’s possible that his sickness wasn’t a result of his stay but it is oddly coincidental - this is the first time he’s developed any illness. When we picked him up after a weekend stay he smelled like a stale litter box. Likely, the “condo” he stayed in was not cleaned prior-to or during his stay (my guess is that would include the litter box). Wouldn’t recommend leaving your animal here until you are able to view the facilities prior to dropping your animal off. I am happy about their covid protocols, not happy about our experience.

My dog was sick and depressed since he came back from the pet lodge. He doesnt play any more. His personality totally changed since then. What happened to him in that week?

The worst experience ever, that no pet owner should have! My dog escaped from the two very young employees within an hour of being left off. No one should get a phone call that their pet was now on the loose, last seen by the interstate! She was chased around their neighborhood in Plattsburgh by them, then it became our problem. We were reunited a week later, because of local volunteers, not APL! I still have not heard from management, two months later. Do not go thru our heartache!

I brought my puppy for 3 nights and 4 days. He had daycare for 3 days. staff was friendly. I got the big room with a camera. The playroom also has a camera. You can watch your dog play as well as sleep. They offer walks and baths as well. As hard as it is to leave your dog somewhere... I will be bringing him back when needed :)

They run a clean facility, prices are inline with competitors, staff is helpful and the hours of operation are very convenient. My only comment is I wish they would go back to Saturday day care. I hate to see dogs in kennels any longer than necessary. But otherwise, highly recommend.

This place is an absolute necessity with anyone with a dog. They do pet boarding with different types of rooms for the dogs, in addition to doggy daycare and puppy Pre-K. They also have cameras installed in the daycare area and also in some of the pet suites where you can check in on your furry friends. The pets can also be bathed, groomed, trimmed, walked, and exercised. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The best of all of this is that the rates are very reasonable, starting at around 20 bucks per day for boarding and daycare. This place is an essential tool for pet owners in the north country.

We boarded our dog here for the weekend while in the area. A week later, our dog (who had no contact with other dogs except at the kennel) came down with kennel cough. When I called to report it, the response was basically “we don’t know what other dogs might have it or carry it” (i.e. not our problem). Not a satisfactory response and no resolution. No offer to refund the stay or pay vet bills. I will not take my dog here ever again.

Our dogs seem to be treated well but it makes me uncomfortable that even after virtually all businesses have loosened up COVID restrictions the public still cant enter the facility even if one is vaccinated and masked. I dont have much choice except to kennel my pets when I go out of town but I have yet to be allowed inside. All other businesses are mask optional now if one is vaccinated and our vet sees us in person so why the lock down?

Great place for your dog. We always use them and never have a problem, well the last time we ask to give our one dog a bath, but they gave the another dog a bath. 🤷‍♀️

Great service, great prices. Doggie daycare from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. is only $21. Your dog comes home very tired after having a great day with other dogs

We were gone for 6 days and nights, I was very anxious about leaving my pup. However, they took very good care of her, and having a Vet on site is a great relief....just in case.

I love it. I feel secure that my Jax is safe and well taken care of.

They did a great job watching my dog . He was very happy when I picked him up.

We take our pup Melvin here for daycare 2-3 times a week. He loves it and comes home exhausted after playing with all the other dogs! We love checking in on him with the cameras in the daycare area.

Reasonably priced and friendly equaled one happy dog. Access to the web cameras is a nice touch. Would definitely use them again.

My dogs love it here and so do I. Love the staff knows my dogs and they can board here and attend daycare. Clean and comfortable.

We have been dropping our pom off zoey its been working really great. They have been taking great care of her when we go for the day or night. Highly recommend this place

Very dirty, crusty cement floors. They didn’t give him any of the toys or bones we left with them. All that’s in there is his bed and food. Lights are on and it’s 12 at night. He is panting like crazy. I am getting him out of there. It is not worth it!

Great friendly staff. Pets are well cared for and will definitely be at with them again. They even have doggie daycare.

Didnt return call. Couldnt use camera. When picking up our dog, employee was unfriendly,in a hurry and gave no feedback about our dogs stay.

Duke loves his daycare friends and the camera lets me see his tail wagging all day.

I just wish there was more communication and feedback. Something, anything. Otherwise he came back alive... so thats good.

One particular staff member was very rude on multiple occasions to my wife & I. Our puppy was labeled as aggressive because of one incident where she evidently “cornered” the staff. We were made aware of it and responded by training her with a new collar.When we called to inquire about Esther’s potential future play dates, the staff member responded with a very abrasive tone. We also noticed her lack of customer service skills on multiple other occasions. The rest of the staff seem fine and we’ve never had a problem with them.This is unfortunate, as we do like Adk Pet Lodge and the services you offer. We travel a lot and have boarded all of our dogs there many times and were hoping to continue that trend.Unfortunately, it’s not likely that we will board them there any longer.

Our dogs are very well cared there

No grooming just bath and not worth the money. I have been boarding my dogs for 8 years without incident but was told my dogs are wild... I am Not a fan. Facility is nice but the demeanor of the person I dealt with was a bit on the negative side. I got the feeling they would rather not have my dogs there so I will not return.
