My partner and I are beyond impressed with Certified Canine their team. We sent our 2 year old golden retriever who struggled with significant aggression towards other dogs to certified Canine for 5 weeks. Before this program, Cooper would growl, pull, and if given the opportunity lunge and try to pin down other dogs. It was extremely concerning and stressful for us as we are surrounded by other dogs where we live. We tried multiple different trainers and nothing worked. Cooper also had issues with basic obedience when he was in distracting settings. After 5 weeks at Certified Canine, Cooper is able to be in a setting with a group of dogs and while socially awkward, he is able to play with them!! He is excellent on the leash and when we pass other dogs, he looks to us and does not exhibit any negative behavior or aggression towards them. We now feel confident that we are able to manage his behavior in an appropriate way in any setting. This team is so talented and we are beyond grateful towards them! Coopers obedience also improved immensely and he now listens and responds to us regardless of the environment we’re in. I was worried he would lose his personality throughout the training but not the case, he is the same lovable, energetic and playful dog he’s always been. Rachel was amazing in providing us with regular updates about Coopers progress throughout the entire program and was open and honest about everything. At the end of the program the team took as much time as we needed to explain everything they had done with Cooper and relay the knowledge and steps we needed to take going forward. It’s clear the team takes a lot of pride in what they do and truly care about the success of every dog they train and the happiness of their clients.

I adopted a 5 month pitbull mix in October of 2023. First few months with her were great until she hit 9 months old. She began reacting to all dogs and showing aggression. At the time I was living in NYC and found it very difficult to find a reliable trainer. Unfortunately my disability got worse and soon retired and moved to the Albany area. There I looked up dog trainers and that is how I found Certified Canine Service. After reading all the wonderful reviews, I decided to give them a chance. I initially decided on service dog training due to my disability and worked with Rachel to formulate a training plan. We decided on 4 weeks of behavioral training and we would decide from there if she was capable to perform As a a service dog. 4 weeks later, my Lilly is amazingly well behaved. She shows no signs of reactivity or aggression. I can not thank Rachel and all the trainers enough for all the work they put in to Lilly. Its like she is a new dog and her confidence shows. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You not only saved my Lilly but you gave me hope in a time that I really needed it. Your team is outstanding. I will be forever grateful.

We brought our puppy to be trained as a service dog and it was such a great experience. They took the time to answer all of my questions, told exactly how everything worked, and tolerated my calls to check in. I think that anyone who has worked with them would say that I t is clear to see that everyone here loves what they do and they just love all of the dogs. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a trainer.

I have sent two different dogs to certified canine services, both high energy, stubborn boxers. And both times they have come home to me a new dog! I was at my wits end with my current boxer Archie and was in tears every other day over his destructive behavior and daily accidents. They are miracle workers because he is now such a great listener and they have made my life with Archie peaceful and stress free, which I never thought would happen. Everyone here is phenomenal! I took my 7 year old dog Kiara to them for a basic obedience training. Before, she was very energetic, didn’t listen to me, and would lunge and pull on walks. Forget getting her to sit or lay quietly somewhere. When I picked her up, she had done an entire 180!! She listens so well, and walks right beside me without pulling at all. I’ve been taking her everywhere with me and she is so content to just sit and wait while I’m doing something. The trainers spent about an hour going every thing with me, each command, how to correct her using the e-collar, where she should be walking next to me, etc. I’m so so grateful for them, and I’d absolutely recommend taking your dog here!

Certified canine did an amazing job with my black lab puppy! When we got him, I broke my leg and they went absolutely above and beyond with boarding and training that suited my needs in that hard time. Teddy is the most well behaved puppy. We constantly get compliments every where we go regarding his excellent behavior. This training is truly life changing. Not only does it make our lives easier to have a well behaved dog, it makes our relationship with him even better because we have a great way to communicate with him in a way we both understand! As very active hikers, it is amazing that we have a dog that listens and respects us. This training allows us to take Teddy on our hikes and just about anywhere that allows dogs and know with confidence that he will behave and listen to us. I am awestruck and beyond thankful to them! My baby boy was treated with such great care and love. He was in 6 weeks for service dog training and he is phenomenal! We adopted our dog going on 4 months ago we were just at our wits end with him. He wasn’t listening or responding to anything and so sent him to training in the three week program and he is a new dog! We learned through the program that our dog is deaf and the trainers tailored his training and we have grate communication now!! Even with trouble shooting over the phone on things I can do to correct him. I can’t thank the people at Certified Canine Services enough!!!

Took our 3yr old Redbone Coonhound to them for 4 week training program, he learned so much and so did we at pick up, He gained so much confidence. Would definitely recommend, we made a 5 hour trip from PA to take him to this facility!!! They are great!!!!! You will not be disappointed!!

Thank you, Certified Canines! I am so happy our 10 month old puppy completed the four week training program. With an active household with three elementary age children we were struggling with a consistent training routine that worked for us, and our puppy was often too out of hand for our children to help out with or want to play with. The high activity level of our children also made it hard for our puppy to focus. We struggled with our puppy play biting, chewing up our home, excited peeing in the house, jumping on company, and ignoring commands without excessive treating. Normal everyday activities like putting dishes away, laundry, or not being able to leave the puppy unattended for two minutes without crating were problematic and stressing everyone out. This was really hard for us because we were dedicating time to training, classes, and getting in a lot of exercise. After reading reviews online, we decided to make the investment, even our results were half as good what we read about. I was also nervous about the Dogtra collar. Certified Canines was a miracle for us! Everyone we worked with was incredibly professional and knowledgeable and they really care about the dogs. We learned a better way to communicate with our puppy, and after learning how to use the e-collar, it is such a more peaceful and effective way to communicate and make a correction rather than over relying on treats and getting stressed out. Our puppy is happier, our children love helping with the dog, and we are having the experience of having a family pet that we always wanted. The program was big investment, but it was completely worth it. I especially recommend the program to busy families that have the time to care for a dog, could use help laying down a good foundation to work with.

We sent our 2 year old Saint Bernard for problems with extreme anxiety and bad behavior. She came back to us polite, well behaved, excited to be around people and other dogs again. She’s no longer anxious and she follows her commands like a pro. No more pulling on walks and I’m able to take her into stores with no problems. The staff at certified canine kept me involved in her training and care through phone calls and were always happy to answer any questions. It was clear watching our dog at pickup how much care and attention they’ve given her during her stay with them. I would recommend them to anyone!

About 8 years ago, I had an Akita named Angel that was very set in her ways and stubborn and I had pretty much given up on trying to “fix” her until she started just taking off and running across a very busy Route 11 and not wanting to come home until she was good and ready. I was friends with Rachel at the time and she suggested I try a program at Certified Canine. I was skeptical because Angel was about 7 years old and I completely believed in the “can’t teach an old dog new tricks” adage. After 3 weeks with Neil and Rachel, Angel became a new dog. She no longer took off on her day long adventures and avoided the road at all costs. She was far more sociable as we were able to let her off her leash/chain and so she could be more involved with family activities with no fear of her running off. As far as I was concerned, they saved her life. She lived a happy 5 more years with us until sadly she passed.Last summer, I got a new puppy; Rudder. He was a wild and crazy, but such a happy, loving boy. I knew from the second I got him that I would be sending him to Certified Canine when he was ready so I wouldn’t encounter the same problems I had with Angel. It is such a blessing to be able to have friends like Neil and Rachel that can give your dog such a great adult life like Angel had, and a very well behaved young “puppyhood” like Rudder is having. They are always there to help when I have any training questions and I know they genuinely care about not only my dog, but all the dogs they help. Thanks so much for everything you do!

They were absolutely wonderful for my pup Marz. He was terribly fearful especially of other dogs and socializing a puppy during covid was nearly impossible. Hes still shy but I routinely take him to a dog bar that has 30+ off lead dogs running around and he does great which absolutely wouldnt have been the case without certified canine. The trainer sat with me at pickup to go over his personality and suggestions. Everyone who walks him on lead is so impressed. Ive been asked several times if hes a working dog just because of his great behavior.

Certified Canine Services has worked their magic once again. Two years ago they helped us with our dog Frankie, a husky catahoula mix. He was stubborn, headstrong and always getting into trouble. His high energy and superior intelligence hindered us in training him. Frankie attended the 3 week program and is an amazing dog. He listens and is controllable on and off leash. This allows us to let this energetic dog play, hike, run and swim without the worry of getting him to come back. He responds to our commands and no longer gets into so much trouble.Fast forward two years and we welcomed Zari into our family. Zari is a rescue dog from Afghanistan. We picked her up from the Boston airport in September after a 21 hour journey. Unaware of her past, her temperament and personality we committed to giving her a forever home. When we first met her at the airport she was sweet, exhausted and scared. She bonded with me quickly on our 6 hour car ride home. Introducing her to the rest of the family went well. She loved the kids and was great with them. However introducing her to Frankie and Ellie ( our 4 year old golden doodle ) did not go as well. She was so scared and aggressive towards them. We tried so hard to make her feel safe and secure enough to learn her place in the pack. Our efforts were no help in controlling her aggressive nature towards our other two dogs. It was stressful, chaotic and absolutely terrifying. We turned to certified canine once again. I was honestly hopeless until we made the phone call. Rachel spent over a half hour on the phone with us. She eased my mind and gave me a glimmer of hope that Zari could potentially find her place in our family. We enrolled Zari in the 4 week program and prayed that it would help. On the day we were able to pick her up, Certified canine allowed us to bring Frankie and Ellie to their facility so they could witness and aid in the reunion. I was amazed and astonished at how well it went. With Frankie and Zari both having the same training and commands it was so easy to tell them what we needed and expected from them. We now have a house full of three happy, healthy and loving dogs. They all get along great and we are in control of our pack. I can’t express how thankful, relieved and happy I am. If you want professional dog training, knowledgable trainers, happy thriving dogs and in my opinion, miracle workers then Certified Canine Services is the place to call.

My Lab Daisy was a good pet before now she is a Great pup we did the 30 program, place and heal have to be 2 of the best skills taught. A year later Daisy still knows everything and with a 75 pound lab loose leash walking and even no leash where safe makes walks a pleasure. And the place skill is helpful when cooking and she wants to be at my feet or the door bell rings instead of rushing the door to great whoever she stays on her mat till the free command Thank you Neil....

Neil & Rachel trained our lab/sheperd when she was out of control at 7 months. She was so amazing when we picked her up 3 weeks later. She will be 2 in August and still remembers all her commands. We did a little class to refresh us on leash walking. A totally professional training facility. We would recommend them above all others. Nothing but praise for what the can accomplish. We are so grateful to them.

The trainers here are absolutely amazing. They have given me a great foundation to further my dogs’ training so I’m able to do more with them. I look forward to taking advantage of the unique FREE training opportunities they offer to clients that have already undergone a boot camp with them. They support life long learning which is absolutely essential for dogs and speaks to the quality of training they offer. I am so pleased with the progress they made with my boys and I look forward to working with them in the future!

Our rambunctious, slightly aggressive one-year old male dog has had three stays with Certified Canine Service in Pulaski totaling five weeks. Each time we have picked him up, we saw a very positive improvement in his behavior. While our dog is far from perfect, Rachel’s patience (including responding to frantic text messages from my wife at odd hours) and tips have made an intolerable situation tolerable. I sent my imported German Shepherd to Certified Canine Services for their 3 week training program. A high drive German Shepherd is quite the challenge.If it wasnt for the extensive professional training I received from Neil and Rachael, I would not have the amazing Shepherd that I have today.He listens and obeys with complete confidence that was instilled in him by his training from just a puppy. I board Sig at Certified Canine all the time and he cant wait for the door to open to see Neil and Rachael on the other side.I have referred family and friends for their training knowing the superior professional service they will receive.Neil and Rachael are the best and go above and beyond with any problems that you may encounter after the training period. We sent both of our dogs (6 months and 4 years old) to the trainers at certified canine solutions and we are so impressed. The staff is so friendly and willing to answer any questions you got. I would highly recommend this training camp.

Top notch for your dog and for the owner. Neil and Rachel are some of the very best at their profession. I drive 35 minutes when I go out of town to leave my dogs with their trainers! My dogs are now almost 3 and have been off leash since I took them there. Couldnt have a better relationship with the 2 furballs without these guys! Take your dog here you wont regret it!

Life changing board and train facility. Did the 4 week training for my girl I rescued. Well worth the money!

Our EIGHT YEAR old pit mix, Olly, went through the four week course back in November 2021. He was extremely prey driven towards smaller animals and reacted fearfully and aggressively to any other dog that was not his sister. Three months later and I was able to walk him straight through the vet in Carthage with 2 GSDs, a golden and a female boxer all trying to get his attention. He is an entirely different dog and the people at Certified K9 of Pulaski are wizards.

I sent my dog here for a 2 week stay for their puppy development program. When I left him he was calm, even tempered and confident. When I got him back he was fearful and anxious beyond belief. They were supposed to crate train him - he hates his crate and will not go in it. They were supposed to teach him to walk nicely on a leash - they only accomplished this by putting a small puppy on a choke chain, and even then, he spent the entire time pulling. They were supposed to socialize him with other dogs - every time we run into another dog, especially one that barks he stops dead and stares in terror, clearly having no idea what the heck he is supposed to do. He was given back to me with a huge limp that took over a week to dissipate. In the 5 weeks since I have gotten him back I have been working tirelessly with another trainer trying to undo the damage that was done. The biggest issue was that they clearly did not amend their training methods to my dogs personality, ignoring his discomfort, and forging ahead with their ideas about the best way to train, rather than figuring out what worked best for him and I will be paying for it, quite literally, for a very long time.

They tried, and Im sure our idio....I mean dog was well behaved for them. It lasted 2 days. The collar? Pointless. She digs at it and it has left scars on her neck, so its only used when she is really bad for a stretch of time. This dog craps on whats left of my floor...the parts she hasnt eaten. She cant be allowed to run the house. She has a spot outside, and she knows to use it, but she will immediately find a soft surface if she is allowed in the house and she leaves piles and puddles. I should have bought a motorcycle instead of this.

Our Australian shepherd came back an entirely different dog. Nipping, jumping people who visit our home. No longer a problem with our guests.

This place is awesome! I am 1000% satisfied with the results. The program was just what my Great Dane needed to become a good doggie citizen. I would highly recommend them.

I have to start by saying I am one of those “I love my dog more than most people” type of person. Our pup is 5 years old and we recently had a baby. Our dog (Clayton) always loved people but was terrible about how to get attention…the jumping, the barking, the constant being all over everyone the moment they walked in the door…it was embarrassing and I felt like I spent more time yelling at him to get down and leave people alone than I did actually enjoying my company. The terrible attention seeking got worse after the baby….which I kind of expected. I called our vet and they recommended certified canine services. Our vet actually took his dog there. I called and spoke with Rachel. She was very honest and very upfront, which I appreciated, since this is my fur baby. We decided on the four week program. Dropping him off was so hard….and I totally called the next day to check on him….Rachel laughed when I said “I swear I’m not going to call every day” but she was not at all annoyed by it and gave me an update on how he did over night (he had never been boarded before). When I tell you we picked up a different dog today I am not exaggerating. He was still himself….but behaved. He’s been great since he’s been home. And I even though it was hard being without him for 4 weeks it’s the best decision we’ve made for him and for us. Our pick up was great. We were given plenty of time for all of our questions. I did not feel rushed out the door. They worked with us with Clayton. I really felt comfortable bringing him home and taking the reigns. Highly highly recommended!!!! I was concerned about his age….and he is stubborn…..but they figured it out and made it work!! I also have to add when we picked Clayton up I could tell he was genuinely happy…..and that he was well taken care of while he was there.

I have a 3-year old pitbull rescue named Saxon that had a lot of bad behaviors when I brought him home (mouthing, nipping, jumping, pulling, chewing, barking -- the whole package). For a year and a half, I tried working with a trainer and at home to help correct his issues but nothing helped. That trainer recommended Certified Canine Services to me and I signed Saxon up for the full month of boarding + training.They were very quick to return my calls and answered any questions and concerns I had for the duration of my dogs stay there. When I picked Saxon up, it is not an exaggeration to say he was a completely different dog. He was calm, attentive, and relaxed. Its been a few months since and I am happy to report that he has been the best boy. I am able to walk him off-leash where its allowed without worrying about completely losing him, he can go swimming and running with other dogs, and I dont have to worry about coming home to another destroyed furniture. It also gives me peace of mind to know that should any issues arise, I can bring Saxon in for refresher lessons. Thank you, thank you so much! Cannot recommend this training facility enough!

We are dog breeders who have personally had Rachel and Neil train dogs for us as well as sending numerous of our puppies to them. THEY ARE AMAZING! They do phenomenal work and truly care about the dogs. They are wonderful and patient to talk to about any problem you are having. We highly recommend them!!! We originally got their name from a friend who used them and also had a wonderful experience.

I was really struggling with having control over my Great Pyrenees. I was terrified to leave my dog with strangers, but Rachel, Neil, Brad, and Hannah really know what theyre doing. Neil showed me what my dog is capable of and ensured we have the skills to further his training at home. Its only been a couple of days and I already cannot believe the difference this program has made in our lives. I cannot recommend Certified Canine enough!!
