Pet Supplies Plus Stony Point

Do NOT use EMILY! She is so rough with dogs and even her customers. She purposely shaves my dog and then blames it on her being matted when she even tells me prior to the visit she is not matted. Emily also yelled at me for coming on time and not giving her a warning however , I am on to her she does not like this because last time I walked in on her screaming at my poor baby and rough handling them. Lastly, she insinuated that my dog is not well taken care of, and asked if I own a brush.My dog is terrified of her. I even have pictures to prove. My fur baby does not even look recognizable. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BABY WITH HER SHE WILL HARM THEM and leave them bald. Not to mention she literally keeps the dog in the cage for 3 hours a 37 minutes to literally just shave them off bald and unevenly. I can do that in like 5 minutes. I am telling you she is not a good groomer and should be fired. There are others posts on here discussing how she is not professional, please listen to them.

Recently moved to the area, found this place. Went straight to the grooming section and Emily was very professional and attentive even as she was busy grooming. Never neglecting the dog she was working with. She provided me info and I quickly was able to schedule an appt. I did not feel like I was waiting for anyone to acknowledge my presence. Great customer service by Emily and Sammy who did the grooming for my dog and the staff at the register. The place has good products and Reasonable pricing and my dog came back looking cute.

I love taking my Maltese to the Stony Point Pet Supplies to have my dog groomed. Emily Martin has been his groomer for a long time. My dog has anxiety and Emily took the time to get to know him and work around his anxiety. He always looks like a stuffed animal when she is done grooming him. Very good service in this store. Staff has knowledge of any kind of pets. Prices were good and they had a clearance section. Im not a per person but now that I have a dog everything I learn about her is from reading and this stores staff.

FIRST TIME HERE TAKING ROCCO FOR SPA AND NAIL CUTTING. We were concerned at first of how he would react. Laura reassured us and made us feel soo comfortable and at ease. She texted us and let us know there was a cancelation and we could bring Rocco sooner. Rocco did great! We are soo happy with the whole experience! This will be our go to place for Rocco! I bring my big of love here for grooming and the to buy them their food and treats and it’s always a great expirience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can find almost anything and everything and if not available they will order for you if able. My dogs like their food. But we and they always carry fresh goat milk

Went in to give my frenchie a bath. The bath area is very easy to use.

I have two Cheweenies, 11 and 12 years old. One of them is extremely afraid of nail trimming. She is a sweet dog, but she has joint pain and her demeanor has changed recently when she is stressed to the point of nipping. Sammy (Samantha) Baez, the groomer at Pet Supplies Plus in Stony Point, NY had every reason and right to say she could not trim my little one’s nails. But instead she worked with me to make it happen (keeping my dog’s legs at a comfortable angle due to her joint pain which was not easy!). This may sound small, but when my dog’s nails are too long, they cause her even more pain and affect her gate. I cannot say how much her efforts meant to me! I gave her a tip of $20, but it should have been more. There are so many people providing amazing service for which they are paid less than they deserve. Sammy is a talented professional!

I highly recommend Emily at Pets Supplies Plus for grooming services! She does a consistently awesome job with my Standard Doodle. The animals love her!

Today we took our Black Lab (BO)to get a Full Grooming including: De-shedding, Clipped and Dremmeled his Nails, Shampooed and Conditioned, Even had His Teeth Brushed.Got to say, his Groomer (Oscar) did a Terrific Job... We will Definitely see him Again.Bo is a Happy Camper

After coming home from a weekend stay in New Orleans, Diamond, my adolescent corn snake, had been surprised to see me back home. It was a silly mistake of me trying to handle her first thing back but Bryonna had reassured me that everything will be okay! With over the phone communications & in person expertise, Bryonna assisted me immensely throughout my process & would recommend anyone with a snake that has questions to reach out to the store.

Staff is super friendly and helpful! Tara the groomer is amazing at what she does. Jacob our yorkie is blind and can be difficult to groom Tara is amazing with him!

This is an incredible store, Im lucky its close now that I dont drive. Such great sales and rewards and they deliver really fast! Every employee goes above and beyond, on the phone and in store, especially Aleena and Trisha whove helped me several times with their time, patience, expertise and friendliness!

Was walking through the store and overheard one of the groomers yelling at the dog on their table. she was very loud and nasty. went closer to see and the womans shirt said her name was Emily. she had glasses, face piercings, and was heavyset. poor dog. i wouldnt trust her with any dog. she was very rough with it too.. they shouldnt allow her to work with animals. anyone who knows dogs can tell you that yelling at them only makes it worse. i dont know why they would have someone like that working there. it was very upsetting.

First time hearing of this store in a Google search this month. Needing a frozen food, online only (so I thought) product, I found out about this store. And to my delight theres a local store in my area! They were courteous and helpful and delivered my order as promised. Pleasant people and a really good experience. Just placed another order as my dog is unwell and I cant leave her to go shop for her food. My local Pet Supplies Plus will be my primary go to for my dogs needs.

This place is amazing! Everyone is nice and helpful. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a smile and they are very knowledgeable. The grooming department is FANTASTIC! They do an AMAZING job and are so nice! The store has a great variety of choices and you can even ask if they can special order things for you. They go above and beyond to keep customers happy. They also have great prices and will price match major retailers. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Sammie grooms both of my dogs. She is wonderful especially when it comes to my Lucy, who can be very difficult. Sammie is a definite asset to the grooming department. She does wonderful work.

I had my dog groomed by Diana last weekend and she did a great job! My dog smelled and looked amazing! She was very kind and understanding of my needs and wants. She took the time out to explain to me the different packages and helped me understand what would be best for my dog. Diana was very patient. I even checked up on my dog without her knowing and saw her giving my dog kisses and reassurance. This definitely made me feel at ease. I have found my new groomer from now on! There was another groomer there that I heard yelling at the dog she was grooming. She had blonde and red hair with glasses so I would just be cautious. I will make sure to ask for Diana when I need my dog groomed.

I washed my dog there . The staff is friendly , but be for warned. It can get busy we some aggressive looking dogs. If you use your head issues can be prevented. I will most likely go every month. Her coat is soft and shiny. Most of all she smells great!

The place is always crowded with shopping carts full of boxes and its hard to navigate through the store.They likely still reprint customer receipts to fill out the reviews for themselves to skew the numbers. One of my best friends used to work there and thats what they had her do as a supervisor.Really dishonest people with no integrity.And that blimp karen is still in there, shocker, she was always so rude to myself and my child- pretending to do work while actually hiding in the office eating snacks

Got a complete fish tank setup to keep my pond gold fish happy during winter time . Till next spring

I give Pet Supplies Plus a 5 star rating! I brought my dog Lulu in for her first grooming tonight and had the best experience! Not only was my dog groomed to perfection she was so happy! The service was professional and everyone was so kind! Tara was our groomer and she was amazing! Ty and we will be back again! My dog Max just got groomed there. Tara our groomer is awesome!! Love her and the animals gravitate towards her. She really has mastered the craft of grooming. Not only doing a great job but knowing how to make the animals love and trust her. In addition the place is clean well organized and the staff is welcoming and helpful. Definitely a keeper!! Will continue to go back there.

Great products but they have kids running the place. I was helped by what I thought were a bunch of stoned(high,wreaked of marijuana, laughing pushing eachother) kids just visiting the store. Turned out all 4 were employees! I was so confused and probably wont go back. Been using this place as my go to for my dogs and birds but after that kind of service, never again. I generally was confused when i realized they were employees. If theyre off the clock it would be better if they took their uniforms off so when they act that way in the store customers arent turned off! Ill take the trip to petsmart or just order from chewy from now on. Where I dont have to feel like Im at a playground or skate park.

First time using the groomers. Sylvia did a great job with Charlie and Mason, two Bichon mix dogs. From taking care of the face properly (no choppiness) sanitary areas, nails, and giving them the rounded paw, Sylvia did a fantastic job. The staff were friendly and asked me questions prior to taking the dog for grooming which is important. I used PetSmart for grooming but my dogs would always leave a bit anxious. I think weve found our new groomers.

Groomed a month ago. Went for another groom yesterday staff was told by groomer he was agressive and they would not take my dog. Strange it wasnt mentioned when he had his first cut. Do they use muzzles?? Should this have been recommended (he is a rescue) can someone recommend a groomer other than here

I save so much money shopping here for my dog and the staff really goes the extra mile every time I come here. My dog is picky but there is a wide selection of products to try, the girl that checked me out, Holly, was so nice and offered me free samples and treats while I was paying. I come here all the time and I will continue to, I highly recommend this store if you live in the North Rockland area.

I gave it 2 stars just because the staff was real nice but deducted 3 because of the dangerous design and configuration of their self service dog wash. The poorly placed an nonadjustable tiedowns and overall design of the tubs can cause your dog to hang themselves because this design allows them enough length to easily jump out of the tub while tied but not enough length to make i to the ground if they do. Happened to my dog Luna today. Had I not caught her in midair she would have most definitely injured or even broken her neck. I suggest if your dog is not cooperative in the bath and needs to tied then do not use them. Not sure how the tub area design got approval but its an accident waiting to happen. Needless to say I wont be returning until these design issues are addressed.

IThis is the2nd time I had my dogs nails done 1st time was good this time was horrible here nails are cracked and she was crying we had to make her stop she had one person holding her and her leg aroundTerrible experience I will never go back there . I took my dog today for grooming. I am so happy with Samantha, she was so professional, kind and care about my dog. Other places did not want to take him because he was too big or old. However pet supplies took him with open arms, love it. I will recommend this store to my friends

If i could give this place negative stars i would. What a terrible place. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE, unless you’re into some form of torture. Yesterday we brought my dog here around 12:30pm and we called twice to ask if he was ready for pickup. Repeatedly we were told “no”. Eventually we decided to go and found my dog sitting in a cage. Who would leave a dog like that? Do not recommend.

Everyone here is always super friendly and willing to help. Most importantly my dog loves it here. This is the only groomer that he will not fight me to go to. They know when he has had enough and is willing just to spend time with him to keep him calm and happy. They understand that your pet is part of your family and they treat them that way.

Wonderful staff here, with superior service. I was able to ask all my fur mom questions and was helped all the way through my purchase. If you want to have the best shopping experience at a pet store, this is the place to go!

A nice store full of all the pet supplies youd ever need. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the shopping experience is quick and easy. Its clean, well kept/orderly, and finding whatever you need is a breeze. They even help out with the local animal shelter at times for promoting adoptions/housing pets that need a home, which is very impressive and considerate.
