I have been dealing with German Shepherd breeders either buying a dog, or breeding my own for over 35 years. First off let me explain how I was looking for over a year for a pup to turn into a service dog for myself. I came acrossed Ostland German Shepard. From the minute we left with our beautiful addition to our family Lola Rose, she attached to myself quickly. She immediately told me when she had to go potty. Plays wonderful with my 9 year old and 8 month old. Laid back most times which is wonderful. Truly a lover and always loves our attention. Lola tends to get tired from the loves and will go lay in her cage. Already at 11 weeks... Potty training going great with cage method. Instantly a smart pup since the minute she was put in my car to go home. A long 2.5 hour drive. Did amazing ♥️ Highly recommend, Dan is true to his words and very professional. Exceptional customer service from Dan. Ostland German Shepherds is the best breeder around. Drove 80 miles from Albany to pick up my female and she was beautiful and very intelligent from the start. Acquired our German Shepherd from Dan in January after much research and couldnt be happier with our decision. Dan was great, his puppies were all beautiful and healthy. Taz is one of the smartest shepherds Ive ever seen over the years, his temperament is calm and cool, so observant. Hes out of Pablo and Grexa, obviously a great pairing. We recently bought an adult GSD from Dan and we couldnt have been happier. We were on the lookout for adult GSDs that had a known past/history and called, messaged and emailed several breeders. Dan was super responsive in getting back to us through FB messenger and we had a great first call. We are a 4 hour drive away from Ostland GSD and he made sure that we knew everything that we should know about the dog prior to making a decision and making the trip. When I think of a breeder thats responsible thats caring I think of Dan from the moment I first spoke to him I knew he had a passion for his work there was nothing I couldnt call and ask always answering my every question helping me to learn the breed better taking me step by step everytime I called never getting tired of my phone calls and I called day and night i wish in the world there were more people like you I would ask for weekly updates on my puppy and he would never let me down before I could call he would put their pictures up with weekly updates it gave me great comfort I know a part of it was only to please me I consider him not only to be a breeder but a friend I truly thank you you have no ideal how much your appreciated by so many I wish you success and I cant wait for your breeding program to grow and grow every breeder in the world should want to be like you so glad to know someone like you Im glad I get to see the evolution and your work so again thank you my friend

I bought 2 male pups from Ostland, they the best behaved pups and I would hesitate recommending these dogs to anyone.

I love that their puppies are pure bred some champion blood lines as well. I do however think their prices are a little high, but if you want something close to perfect, you need to pay for it.
