The woman who works there called me an a-hole for blocking her parking spot and cussed me out. Very unprofessional, I would NOT trust bringing my beloved animals anywhere NEAR someone as disrespectful or obviously very temperamental for the safety of my pets. Consider WHO would be taking care of your animals.. and I would find another place

Savannah is a 10 month German shepherd. We had called earlier in the week to get her nails trimmed for the first time (but winded up not going this day, because something came up). They had asked if she was aggressive towards other dogs, if yes they’d make sure she was the only one in the salon. When asked if she would be muzzled, we were told no. When we called again on Friday, to see when we can come, they asked the same question, same response. We asked the same question, same response. When we arrived, before entering with her we asked if she would be muzzled and asked again when we went in, we were once again told no. (Two dogs left before we went in and two dogs were still in there). Sav was happy, wagging her tail, tried sniffing one of the dogs (right away we were told he was dog aggressive, to move Sav away). We explained in person and on the phone both times this was her first time getting her nails done, they put that short collar around her neck (while she was still on the ground) and Sav was starting to get scared, because it takes a bit for her to adjust to things around her neck. She tried backing away and figuring out how to get out, all while they’re trying to pull her towards the table (which got her more upset). We kept saying “she’s getting upset, we’ll just take her and do it another time.” To which they told us “she’s fine. She has to get used to it. You have to ignore her when she’s acting like this. We’ve been doing this for 30 yrs. You can wait outside, if this is going to upset you.” She finally gets on the table and hooked up, still bugging out (because again her first time and didn’t get used to something so short around her neck yet) and before even giving her time to adjust, cutting her nails down on the floor, or even attempting to sooth her, one worker claps her hands and says “that’s it, we’re muzzling her.” Keep in mind, she showed NO sign of aggression. In my head I just thought “how come the dog that’s aggressive to other dogs wasn’t muzzled or how come he didn’t need to be by himself when there were other dogs there, etc.” Anyways, Sav calmed down after the muzzle and they start cutting her nails. They clipped one or two nails short and she started to bleed, got all over her back paw. All they kept saying was “she’s fine, she’s fine. She didn’t feel it. It didn’t even phase her.” Sav was still so couldn’t have been from her moving. I just feel like her/our first experience should’ve been handled differently.

Coat tails is amazing !!! My husky came back with the best groom since I moved up here! I am so happy I found this place. The owner was very sweet and informative. Love love love it !!

The staff at Coat Tails are terrific. My 2 Shelties came back to me beautiful. The groomers are kind, professional and answered all my questions. My Shelties were groomed exactly as I had requested.As a new resident to Warwick, I selected Coat Tails based on the positive reviews and was notdisappointed.

I have used Dawn at Coattails for 13 years for both of my pups. Dawn is trustworthy, extremely talented and I cannot imagine going else! I highly recommend her and her staff caring, professional, reliable...Dawn gets all the stars!

Dawn was so friendly and nice. She was able to handle my headstrong pup with ease. Definitely going back here next time he needs a grooming.

I took my dog for her first grooming ..I was shocked all I wanted was a trim .. my 8 month old golden doodle was shaved I did not even know it was her ! Very unhappy will never go back ! Dawn is a very nice person but she did not listen to me ...just a trim !!
