I visited Helen at Canine Clippers for the first time this past week, and she did a great job for a better price than any other local groomers. The dog she was trimming doesnt love being handled nor cut, but Helen groomed him without issue.Its worth noting though, this isnt some fancy pet salon. What you will find, however, is an attentive, experienced, and approachable owner-operator, offering her 40 years of experience for a great price.

I have been a customer of Canine Clippers in Watervliet NY for over 35 years and counting. Helen is the groomer and owner of this establishment - she is an excellent groomer in my opinion. She listens to your dogs needs and does exactly what you ask her to do in a timely manner. Canine Clippers has been my groomer of choice for all of my dogs through the years. My last dog was a small delicate poodle who was handicapped from birth. Helen always listened to my concerns regarding how to groom this animal. This precious dog looked forward to being groomed by Helen and always came home looking and smelling beautiful. Helen is very educated in all different breeds of dogs and has always been helpful go us whenever we have had our animals groomed through the years. My dogs are a huge part of our family so we are very concerned on who handles our pets - I would recommend Helen of Canine Clippers - she is responsible and a trustworthy person.

I love brining my dog to her . I always bathe my dog at home (He’s about 150lbs) but I can never do his nails. No matter the time of day she’ll always get us in for a quick nail trim. She gets right down on the floor and makes my dog comfortable with her. We don’t go anywhere else.

Make sure your dog is not too big. Only takes small dogs. 40 pounds is considered too big. Guess Ill go to PetSmart

This place is simple and old school, but gets the job done in a timely and affordable manner. Bring cash for smaller payment things as she doesnt prefer cards on small orders due to service fees. The owner is very friendly and confident with dogs.

The owner was nice enough. But going in with a very meek, 6 lb dog I didnt foresee a problem. His hair cut was underpar and he had a nick on his belly that I wasnt told about.

Been going to Canine Clippers for over 5 years now and Helen has been very helpful in giving us advice and great looks to our puppy:) Her prices are great too!

She is amazing with my 3 cats. Gets their nails clipped super fast.
