Nicki was an amazing resource for helping troubleshoot and address issues with our high-energy puppy, who also had aggressive tendencies. With her incredible patience and gentle techniques, we were able to identify triggers and redirect unwanted behaviors in our pup. She was always responsive and even helped recommend several products like foods, toys and harnesses for our picky pup. Can’t say enough wonderful things about Nicki and What the Ruff dog training!

Nicki has been wonderful with both my rescue dogs. Both dogs are fearful of strangers, Nicki was extremely patient waiting for them to become comfortable around her. Nicki has established a positive relationship with both dogs and worked with them to overcome their fears. Both dogs now adore her. Nicki is professional, knowledgeable, caring and patient. She has provided tips/advice that have helped me. I’m so happy to have the opportunity to work with Nicki.

My husband and I recently rescued a 4 month old Jack Russell mix with no house training. It was a nightmare until Nicki stepped in and taught us how to fully enjoy our new addition to the family.

Nicki is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and trains dogs using positive reinforcement. Our dogs fell in love with her and we learned so much. She’s great for walking and training. Highly recommend.

Nicki was fantastic with our Rio. She helped us with leash pulling, approaching strangers/other dogs, and barking at home. From the first session, and with lots of consistency practicing Nicki’s tips, Rio is a much more well-behaved pup. Nicki also gave us written notes every week so that we knew what we learned each week and tips going forward. Would definitely recommend 100 percent!

Nicki worked with my rescue beagle, Nova, who suffers from acute stranger anxiety and has difficulty with anyone who isn’t me. Nicki was resourceful, intelligent, and tremendously patient and kind. Within a few sessions, Nova was remarkably improved. She can even share the space with friends and family at social events. I highly recommend Nicki as a compassionate trainer who gets results. Nicki is patient, caring, listens and customizes training to your needs. She is responsive to text and all questions and genuinely loves dogs.

Nicki worked wonders with our cranky Lhasa. Roscoe would never let us do any eye or ear drops. He would bite and be aggressive. Last winter, he was diagnosed with a chronic eye condition that requires daily drops .Nicki help us get him used to doing the drops at home with us. She was kind and patient and worked slowly at his pace . After each session, she gave us notes and things to try.I can not believe what she achieved with him. He now gets excited when we say his cue words and lets my husband put the drops in. We are so grateful to Nicki!

Nicki has been so helpful as we navigated a range of issues (reactivity and anxiety, manners with guests, demand barking etc) with our four year old dog, Oscar. She gave us lots of ideas and new commands to work on each week and also came each session with fresh ideas for enrichment. She left us with lots of homework and great notes. Additionally, she encouraged us to pursue a new vet which has also had a positive impact on our boy’s daily life. We are so grateful!
