I am so tired of people who do not go to this store regularly or even monthly, putting down the employees that work here. What you all dont know is that this employee you speak ill of is the owner. For shame on all of you. He is a good, quiet, and knowledgeable young man and has been in the Holistic Pet Nutrition for years. The people that have the audacity to mention his poor dead father, in reference to his style of running the store, are gross, rude, nasty individuals. I have witnessed people come in this store and receive great service and then see negative reviews online right after leaving the store, and that is bad manners. If anyone had a problem, I noticed that no one had ever mentioned it to him or tried to resolve any issue with him. You cant complain when you have not done the basic procedure of identifying the problem to him. As for his dog. The dogs he brings in the store are not violent. Dogs bark, but his dogs dont attack other dogs. If he feels there will be a problem, he will hold his dog so people can shop in comfort. I feel the people who complain about this store are just racist and entitled.

I walked in here with my dog, and we were immediately approached by a barking pug. It got into my dogs face and just parked, blocking us from moving past. My timid dog is timid just froze and took the verbal abuse. I looked at the man behind the counter who was smiling and asked, Is the dog just going to stand and bark in my dogs face?. He nodded yes and mumbled something I could not understand, while laughing. So I said, Can you please get him out of my dogs face? We are customers. I had to put my leg up to block the pug as he got more aggressive when the man then walked over, picked up the dog, and walked away. No apology. No words. I told him that was unacceptable and walked out. The audacity. I just read another review where customers experienced the sameThis situation is obviously being poorly handled by the man (owner, whoever) in the store. How are your going to allow that behavior/treatment and not intervene? Just horrible customer service. Keep your aggressive pug away from customers and their dogs, or someones going to get hurt.

Disappointed. My co-worker shops here and is happy with them but I have had unpleasant results. Ordered online for pickup, shop was closed all of Monday opposite of stated hours. I understand, weather was bad, small shop (staff) could have effected. Returned Wednesday, shop open (dog inside, sign out on sidewalk) but door locked. Stopped by later during open hours and shop was closed. Phone calls lead to a non-voicemail system.I sent an email asking for a refund if I could not pick up the products. A day later and no response. I hope the shop owner is safe and sound but I am frustrated and disappointed.

Wow! Loooooooove this place and so does my pup! This is my favorite place to shop for my dog’s food, the selection is amazing and the service is even better. My pup loves the treat choices the best, but I appreciate the fresh food.Keep doing what you’re doing, Beacon Barkery, it’s appreciated!

I will not go anywhere else! The have everything needed for my Puggle&Kitties..and the personal service is impeccable! Penelope (puggle) 1dt bday 7/27/21 will be perfect because of them!

Would have given zero stars if had the option! The person working there today was a complete detached absent minded individual (feel free to replace the adjectives with some more accurate slangs)! The moment we entered the store their Pug (who was actually super cute) started barking at our little Iggy, which is only normal of dogs nothing weird here; but the guy didn’t even try to calm them, and then as we were browsing in the store he let their dog run to ours and bark and try to attack our dog, he didn’t say anything he didn’t do ANYTHING and we were shocked what the hell is going on; so we picked up our dog and went towards the door in pure shock and he still didn’t say a word to us! He started petting his dog, didn’t EVEN apologize to us, and we left in pure shock! We were so shocked that we became angry with minutes of delay! Not even a simple “I’m sorry”!! Unnnnnbelievable!!! Don’t run a business if you cannot follow the very basic rules of conduct and manners and etiquettes! Most terrible experience we had in years!

My favorite Gourmet Pet shop! They have only the best foods and treats for your furry friends. No artificial junk from other countries. Fairly priced and extremely friendly staff. Bring your pups in for free treats!

Waited over an hour for them to open. Went to Petsmart and bought the product that I was looking to buy there. I always try to support local small businesses had to go feed the big corporation wheel.

Cutest pet bakery I have ever been too! The staff is extremely pleasant and friendly and there is a wide variety of baked goods (even gluten free!) They also have some great quality toys

Great place to shop for you dogs and cats! Jon’s a super nice guy and my cats loved the treats I got them. 5 star for sure!

Would be cool if you were actually open during the posted hours 🤷 i guess you dont really care about locals and their pets, just window shopping tourists.

Love this store, they have plenty to choose from and the owner is so friendly and also the lady works there during the week. Definitely would recommend to stop by if you’re in beacon, they even have 🍦 for dogs ❤️

This was a great find my dog loves each of there real meat freeze dried treats and the lady was very nice to me and my dog

This is the best gourmet pet store in the Hudson Valley. Healthy options, raw, grain free and nice accessories. Both shops are Family owned and operated. Check them out.

Very good selection and the owner is very accommodating with ordering raw dog foods.

Not sure why the owner would have a reactive pug running around this place off leash. We walked in and it started barking and getting in our pups face. With all the other complaints you would think they would adjust. Maybe they don’t care about their customers. Wish I saw these reviews before we walked in.

Always out of stock..prices change daily. Creepy guy. Shady at best.
