My family and I had an amazing experience adopting our new kitten from Rock and Rescue. The ease of communication was exceptional, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout the entire process. The adoption center itself was clean and well-maintained, making the experience comfortable and reassuring. Its location was also very accessible, which made our visits smooth and stress-free.Our adopted baby came to us in excellent health and was clearly well-socialized, adjusting quickly to our home and becoming an essential part of our kitty pride. We couldnt be happier with the addition to our family. Weve already recommended Rock and Rescue to our veterinarian, friends and coworkers and will continue to do so in the future. They truly care about their animals and the families they serve. They also have an incredibly easy means of donating via Amazon or as we have done, dropping food off at their adoption site.

Our experience with Rock n’ Rescue was seamless. We found out within a few hours after applying that we had been approved to adopt and the “curbside” meet and greet process was a nice way to get to know our new kitty. Everyone at the rescue has made themselves available to answer any questions or concerns by phone or in our group chat, making communication with the team very accessible and easy. Our kitty Mystery is our best friend and is one of the sweetest, most outgoing and loving cats we’ve ever met! Thank you so much, Rock n’ Rescue for all that you do!

Our family had a positive experience with R&R. Our kitten was healthy, and has continued to display the manners and temperament described in her bio. Overall it was a great match and we are very happy. The physical facility was perfect for an introduction to our kitten, and the adoption process was easy. R&R even set up a group chat with their team and our kitten’s foster to support us and answer questions, and we continue to share occasional updates months later. We drove from South Brooklyn for the adoption, and it was well worth it.

We adopted 3 kittens from here at the beginning of July. It was the best decision we could have made!After putting in our application, Juli called me the next day (on the 4th of July!) to tell us about an adoption event that week so that we wouldn’t miss any kittens, especially one we had our eye on! We went to the event, and it was well run and the kittens were obviously well loved and taken care of.Juli and the whole staff were knowledgeable about all the kittens, and gave suggestions about which ones would do well together We took her suggestion and brought home 3 little babies who are the best.The kittens are all very well socialized. They didn’t hide once, even in a house with 2 kids and a dog. They played from the minute we brought them home. They have continued to do so, and we really love them all so much. I have recommended Rock N Rescue to everyone who is even considering adopting a kitten because they are truly the best.

Earlier this year on january 25th 2024 my mom and i adopted 2 beautiful kitties, binky & olive, the employees were all very kind and helpful and i couldn’t have had a better experience as my first time adopting, it was a great and very exciting experience! thank you rock n rescue for making my wish of having 2 cats made possible 🤗 enjoy some pictures throughout the months

Highly recommend this rescue. They really care about the animals they take in and even have a group chat to help with anything you need after the adoption. I got my two dream kittens from them who are highly loving and social. The whole experience was quick and seamless and I couldnt ask for a better experience.

We are a cat family and always rescue, never shop. We got our last cat from Rock nRescue and they are amazing. Not only was the initial adaption so pleasant but they follow up, even months later. They truly care! We have our beautiful little blue boy and he is the princess of the castle.

First using a back up account because I want to post this anonymously. I’ve never left a bad review on any site but pushed myself to leave a review because I would like the owners to know about my TERRIBLE experience. I’m leaving the 3 stars because the cat adopted is healthy and the sweetest. But I was pushed by everyone I told about my interaction with this place NOT to adopt. So my interaction started with the fact i had a few questions about a cat that was listed on the pet finder website. The description wasn’t clear and I just needed a confirmation. So thought it didn’t hurt to call. WRONG some guy picked up the phone with an INSANE attitude and was passive aggressive the whole time. He apparently wasn’t supposed to be working the front desk yet was “helping” at that moment. My questions were pretty normal like “it’s not listed if this kitten is fixed or not I just want a confirmation since it says on your page that some are not because of their age” he replied “well if you actually looked on the website it states your answer” after that comment I asked if I should call later and talk to someone else his response “well I answered your first question didn’t I?” The treatment I got was so unprofessional and made me and my family so uncomfortable. Just a heads up if you want people to adopt and find good homes for these cat you shouldn’t have someone so rude and aggressive at the front desk. Not to mention I’ve worked in customer service for YEARS I’ve had my bad days and patients run thin, but I have never talked/treated someone with that much disrespect. Anyway their cats are in fosters so I knew they weren’t being handled by people with no patients like that worker. With all that stated I did still adopt and I don’t regret it

Amazing rescue, they care so much about the animals and are great to work with. The kitties are all wonderful and I couldn’t be happier with my experience with them. I truly would adopt from no one else.

My fiancée and I recently adopted a pair of sister kittens from Rock n Rescue. These two have been nothing but pure joy, we couldnt be happier!I was also very happy with the whole adoption process:1. The Rock n Rescue team was very quick to respond to all of my emails leading up to adoption. After confirming my meet and greet appointment, Juli and Marla started a group text, sent me all the info I needed to prep for adoption, and were quick to answer all additional questions I had.2. The pre-adoption meet and greet was a great experience. They walked me through their medical records, explained when theyd need their next round of vaccines, etc. After that, they brought the kittens out to my car and told me to take as much time as I wanted. I really appreciated this, since I was able to meet and spend ample time with the kittens in a small private space where they could feel comfortable. And then I took them home!3. Since I took the kittens home, Juli and Marla have continued to quickly answer any questions Ive had. Ive really appreciated how they continue to provide this support post-adoption.I would definitely recommend Rock n Rescue if youre looking to adopt!

It was amazing ! 😻We are incredibly grateful for your work. Our boys went off to college and one of the cats we got from the local shelter 15 years ago passed away from cancer. While we loved the cats we got from the local shelter years ago, they were never terribly friendly. We attributed that to their ferret upbringing.By contrast , the kittens we got from Rock’nRescue have been incredibly loving and sweet. We attribute part of their personality traits to the foster model that Rock ‘n Rescue uses. It’s obvious that these kitties have been handled and loved in foster homes. As a result , we finally have the lap cats we’ve always hoped to have.

Rock n Rescue does a Phenomenal job! We had such a great experience adopting our beautiful bonded pair, we had to come back for our next rescue.Rock n Rescue goes above and beyond! They start a group chat that accomplishes complete communication. When you arrive to their gorgeous location their crew is out there very kindly directing and attending vehicles in a very kind and attentive manor. They provide folders with all the background/medical information that you and your vet will need. They are very easy to stay in contact with whether its by text or phone call. The adoption process is well coordinated and safe. They are such an amazing organization, we highly recommend them to all!

We had a wonderful experience with Rock n’ Rescue. The staff and volunteers are so kind and helpful. Rock n’ Rescue also set up a group chat via text to stay in contact, and were readily available for any questions we had. This was especially helpful as we were bringing our new girl, Lottie, home to our resident cat, Tosh. There was an adjustment period, and their input was helpful during that time.The whole process of adopting was seamless, quick, and handled with care. We first saw Lottie on Petfinder and called that Saturday afternoon to inquire about her. She had just arrived from Kentucky and was staying with a local foster. We filled out the paperwork, and hours later we were approved and began preparing to meet our new girl the following day!Also, I think it is worth mentioning that Lottie had her left eye enucleated about two weeks prior to her arrival. You could tell that she was being cared for, and that her incision was was being kept clean throughout the healing process. She’s all healed now, and SUPER alert; you wouldn’t think her vision was limited to one eye.We absolutely adore Lottie. She sings in the morning when she’s hungry, and in the evening before dinner… and when she is requesting a snack! She is tiny, only 9lbs (our Tabby is 14lbs), but boy does she have an appetite. She is playful, energetic, and loves to talk. She is content sleeping on my lap for a long period of time, and then ready to change into zoomy mode for some fun action. She has gotten so much better with our other cat, Tosh, but she definitely is the alpha. He is very mellow, so the dynamic works out well. We have had many guests over, ages 7 months - 60s, and she is so kind around everyone. We truly feel blessed to have Lottie in our lives, and we are very grateful for Rock n’ Rescue choosing us to be her new family. It’s hard to believe she’s only been a part of our family for 4 months. It seems like so much longer! 💜100% recommend!

We adopted our sweet, sweet girl Olive from Rock n Rescue a little over a week ago. She is a collie german shephard mix and came from Kentucky at 14 weeks old. Rock n Rescue was so communicative throughout the process & most importantly, you can tell they care so much about their animals! We could tell they had the puppy & our best interest in mind which was so appreciated.We had questions about her personality, size etc. before meeting her & they answered everything promptly and sent us plenty of photos & videos so we could get a better sense of her demeanor which we loved! They were always so willing to help & it never felt like we were burdening them with questions.Pickup was timely & easy, they provided great tips & information for us when we arrived. They bathed her for us when we got there, gave us a toy & leash & food to take with us while we got settled. She was with a foster family before in KY and you can tell they took very good care of her as she warmed up right away & is very socialized already with both people & other dogs.Overall we absolutely loved working through Rock n Rescue & if we decide to get any other pets or know anyone looking.. we will highly recommend!!

I adopted my sweet Nala from Rock N Rescue over the winter of 2022. They did a great job describing her personality on the online profile and helping me find exactly kitty that would fit in my home. It’s clear that they really care about their animals, and they do a great job of making sure their needs are met while in their care.Though the meet and greet process seemed a bit odd to me at first, having the cat brought out to the car worked flawlessly. You can tell they have put a lot of thought into the little details of running their organization.I would definitely recommend them- and will be using them again in the future!

We are so happy with how quick, professional and easy the process was. We love our two beautiful kittens we adopted. We are blessed to have Enzo and Eloise in our lives and spoil them daily! They are getting more for Christmas than our adult children are (Litter Robot 4)!

On Saturday we brought home two amazing, loving and sweet girls. We are truly amazed how fast they got comfortable with us and the new surroundings.RnR made the whole process of bringing the girls home so easy and as stress free as possible. Everyone was really helpful and supportive. When we picked up the girls they were very well cared for, and all the paperwork was in check. I adopted Bruno back in March 13th, 2022. I thought very hard about adopting a second cat - for three years! - and finally felt like I was ready. Then Bruno introduced himself to my life. On my way to the shelter for meet n greet, I was very worried that Bruno might not like me, but when we finally met he instantly decided to lie down on my lap, purr as loud as he can, and lick my hand!!!!! 😭💕 it was mutual love at first sight! Marla and Juli at Rock n Rescue are very knowledgeable and kind. Rock n Rescue is the best!! They understand every concerns and needs of the adopters, and they truly make everything seamless, honest and well explained. Vet records huge plus because I keep all my cat documents organized in a file. Bruno is now 8 months old, growing into a wonderful young feline. He is literally all I can ask for a cat. Best snuggler, enjoys playing, very healthy(the most important!!), loves everyone including her older feline sister and my parents elderly dog. He waits patiently when I work and gives kisses during our afternoon snuggle time. We were able to meet each other huge thanks to Rock n Rescue. It wouldnt be possible without all their effort. So thank you so much, I love everything they do and keep doing amazing work. 😻(2 year update - Bruno is amazing, happy and healthy. He is the feline love of my life.)

I was first introduced to RockNRescue in 2021 when my parents adopted 3 tuxedo cats. These cats were socialized in their foster home and had an easy transition to their forever home. They are the sweetest, most playful cats I ever seen. Then in 2022, I adopted another bonded pair, which has so positively changed my life. These cats are the most loving, cutest little things. My grandmother also recently adopted from RockNRescue and her process was smooth as well. Juli and Marla truly have hearts of gold and will walk you through the entire process. The cats come with their full medical record and are already fixed. These women work incredibly hard to pair the animals into the right homes and educate adopters on how to best care for their new pets

I’m so happy I came across this rescue!! I applied ahead of time and was on the look out for kittens for a few weeks. Once I applied for specific kittens Juli contacted me that same day letting me know I was approved for pre-adoption! I was put in a group with Juli and the cats foster where I could ask any questions and concerns. I was impressed with how organized, efficient and kind hearted the group was. They had great communication, well documented health records, and such kind and sweet kitties. I’m so thankful for my 2 cute tailless kitties Onyx and Opal (previously Swashbuckle & Avast)

We had a great experience adopting 2 cats! Dusty and Zee (previously named Zero) are truly amazing cats. They were a bonded pair and are so adorable together! All of our questions relating to the fur babies were immediately answered. The rescue is run extremely well and it is clear how much they care about their animals. Both cats get along with everyone (including playing fetch and chase with my 2 year old son) and everyone is so amazed at their incredible personalities. We couldn’t love our two fur babies more! If you are in search of a new or first fur baby, I would highly recommend Rock N Rescue!

We’ve had Moira for about two months now. She is the most loving dog we’ve ever had. My husband and I are so pleased with this adorable rescue.

I first heard about this rescue through a friend (who is a foster mom of animals with the rescue) that I met on a guinea pig group on Facebook. At the time, I was looking for just one female guinea pig to join my all female herd of 5. She helped me find listings for the guinea pigs they had available and I fell in love with little Bella (a Sheba guinea pig), who happened to be available for adoption by herself. I filled out an application and Marla got in touch with me and we worked out a time to meet up. She was super nice and easy to work with. Its been over 2 months since we adopted Bella and she is such a sweet piggy who is healthy and happy, and she gets along great with her cage mates. She loves to greet me at the side of the cage for treats. She loves to be held and petted (after she got used to me). I definitely recommend Rock N Rescue if youre looking for a new pet, whether its a dog, cat, guinea pig... Theyre great, dependable people, and its nice to know youll be adopting a healthy pet from them. :)

I adopted two of the most delicious little black cats who have transformed my life with their affection and escapades. Rock N Rescue knew exactly what I was searching for and paired me with not one but two lovely cats. The paperwork was siimple, the transaction direct, and the support excellent.I find myself looking at Rock N Rescues kittens still....perhaps a third cat is in my future? Who knows...

Got my kittens in September 2019 but never posted a review. They’re happy and healthy little siblings living their best life. They have always been best friends, standing by each other’s side no matter what. They play together and fight but in the end, they keep each other company and are huge cuddle bugs.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Rock N’ Rescue.I’ve had my dog Ivy for a little over a month now and she has changed my life. When i started the search to adopt a dog, I expected challenges and heartache but NONE of which has been involved in this adopted process. Quickly, but with compassion and understanding, this amazing team made sure I was a good fit for Ivys life and after my experience i could not trust their judgment more, they really get to know the animals they rescue and genuinely want exactly what’s best for them, I could tell they loved Ivy so much. Once i was approved to get her, i was put into a group chat with their team, where they answered any and all questions i had and made me feel listened to, as they knew i was a first time dog owner, this was unbelievably comforting.From the moment Ivy came into my life i knew it was a perfect match, their adoption application is thorough, and this is a GOOD thing! they whole heartedly get to know these animals, and ensure they’re going into loving homes.Ivy has changed my life for the better, We go nowhere without each other and i wouldn’t have it any other way❤️

The interactions I had with this agency were cold and lacked empathy. Every message was copied and pasted and there was no emotions conveyed. Purely a business transaction to them. The vet office receptionist when I booked Cheddars first appt was more sincere and caring about the adoption than rock n rescue to be honest. I definitely felt feelings of greediness and sadly not much care for the animals themselves….I truly am happy to adopt my first cat but the up charge $500 fee because he’s a “purebred” was ridiculous. Especially because he was returned to them before so they made at least over 1K for him. The woman who gave me Cheddar said “you’d pay over 2K for this breed so you’re getting a deal”…. They weren’t honest with why the previous family returned him when I asked because I saw him on their website a couple of months before I adopted him myself. I renamed him Cheddar which he responded to immediately to my surprise (buttercup just didn’t fit him). He’s meows all day/night and is very needy. Probably because he was abandoned a few times based on the fact that he never learned to knead/bake biscuits. I’ve had two cats with my previous partner so I was somewhat prepared to have a cat myself but Cheddar feels more like a dog than a cat. He fetches, begs for food all day + everyday, he goes on walks with me on the leash when the weather permits, waits for me by the door knowing when I’ll be home for work (petcam), always wants to be petted and snuggles with me till I fall asleep. The constant meowing when I have a 15 pg research paper to write is definitely difficult to deal with but I will not abandon him because I know what that feels like since I have no parents or family myself.I am still incredibly grateful to have Cheddar in my life hence the extra star but I hope you can work on being more human and completely honest when interacting with future adoptive parents. And not be too greedy on “rare purebreds”. Thank you.Edit - No, a purebred was not something I was looking for. I applied for two other cats which is when my application was approved but the cats were already taken so you had me chose another one. That’s when I chose Cheddar instead after seeing his adorable face so no, he was not my first choice. When I took him to the vet, they also found EAR MITES and said he probably had them before I adopted him so it’s a shame they didn’t alleviate his pain with that extra $500 they made off of him which ended up costing me another $200.

My experience with Juli and Marla were wonderful from the beginning to adoption day! They answered every email and text message promptly. My kitty, Salem (previously Jojo), is so lovable, snuggly and well behaved. Thank god, being my first cat!! My colleague is now getting a new kitten from you guys because of my experience!

Rock N’ Rescue was the best org I could have gotten my two kitties from! They communicated very well with me throughout the process (which was very streamlined and thorough, without being cumbersome). They also provided records on both of the cats and gave me a recommendation about pairing cats - which turned out perfectly! I really could not recommend them enough.

Mt first time owning a kitten as an adult (had one growing up) - what an amazingggg experience from RNR. I had so many questions and they responded so quickly and helped me find my perfect love bug. Not only did they work with me to find me the right match but they just really were so kind the whole process.My kitten is literally a mush, complete love bug who just lays around and plays. I wouldn’t adopt from anywhere else! Even when I was texting them after my adoption - questions are answered so quickly. You can tell they care for their fur babies!We love Salem!!!

In May 2024, we drove from 2 hours from Long Island to adopt a beautiful healthy kitty that came from a hoarding situation. It was well worth the trip as this team truly cares for the animals. I highly recommend this rescue.

I was so happy with the whole adoption process. The application was well thought out and detailed to make sure adopted pets went to a good and stable home that had the means and wherewithall to provide the best care and love. I absolutely love my kitten (formerly Clarke Kent) Fenris! I was able to meet him in my car and review his medical paperwork before adopting him. They provided me all of his vaccination dates, vet appointments, and provided his chip information. My vet was very pleased to have this information when we took Fenris to his first appointments with us. If I were to look for another pet, I would definitely apply with Rock n Rescue again! 10/10 All stars!

I adopted Bandit aka “Nubbs” from Rock and Rescue on January 21, 2023. Two days later I lost my husband to cancer. Bandit is such a lovable kitten. From the first day and continues to stay by my side. Lol. His personality has been a great comfort. I would definitely recommend Rock nRescue.

We could not have asked for a more caring and considerate experience when it came to rehoming our Mothers two golden retrievers than the one we had with Rock N Rescue. When our Mother moved into assisted living, we were overwhelmed and concerned about how to find the best home for her two wonderful dogs. Our situation was particularly challenging because we are located in South Carolina and could only make limited trips to New York, but as soon as we got in contact with Juli at Rock N Rescue, she took care of the rest! Juli made sure that we only met with serious adopters that would be a good fit, and in a short time, we found an amazing home for them both! We are so grateful that we found Rock N Rescue and would recommend them to anyone looking to rehome their pets in the Westchester, NY area!

We loved it! Right from the beginning the process of adoption was so easy. They were so open and honest about everything. Even when we drove to their location to meet and greet, they wouldnt take our money until we met the furbabies. Highly recommended! Well definitely be using them again when the time comes. Everything went great! It was my first time rescuing a kitten and the communication I have received went above my expectations. All questions I had were answered and more. It was an extremely fulfilling experience. I picked up the kitten at its foster home- brought it to the rescue and was given the details of adjusting the kitten to home care. The kitten was spayed and in great condition. Rock and rescue is the only place I would rescue an animal from.Thank you for giving our newest family member.

This rescue has been amazing to work with both times (2 years apart) we have adopted from them. Communication was always seamless and the crib side meet and greet is amazing your able to get one on one time with the cat you wanted. Nothing but amazing experience with R N ROne of our RNR alumni is kinda skittish with people but he loves his fur siblings and we love him even though he only loved us on his terms 😆

Rock n Rescue rocks!! We got our gorgeous Russian blue cat there after falling in love with him on the website. The team at Rock n Rescue was super professional from start to finish. They included a detailed sheet of his medical records and even checked in with us afterwards to make sure everything was going ok. Adoption fees are a little steep, but you pay for what you get, which means you are adopting an animal who is well cared for, up to date on vaccinations, and treated kindly. Even better, you get a very detailed description of the animals personality, so you can decide whats best for your family. I highly recommend Rock n Rescue and would absolutely adopt again from them.

We adopted a kitten in December & he is the perfect addition to our home! The adoption process was great from start to finish. His description matched him perfectly. He is so wonderful with our kids & dog. The people at the rescue were so helpful, friendly & genuine. The foster family that had our boy before we got him did a great job too!

I adopted Gunner (formerly Gunsmoke), a gorgeous ghost tabby, from Rock n Rescue in June 2021. I was hesitant on the adjustment of an adult cat, but this boy had absolutely no adjustment period - he just made himself at home. Juli and Marla are the absolute best. I keep in touch regularly, and send them updates on my little love. Gunner also beat FIP, and when he was first diagnosed, Juli and Marla helped connect me with the necessary resources to get him on investigational medication immediately. Gunner is not only an incredibly gorgeous boy, but he is the most smart, social, and loving cats I have ever had. He is extremely active, and is so happy to have a forever home with friends to play with. I am always in disbelief that his original family dumped him in a high kill shelter in Kentucky when he wasnt a kitten anymore. They are sure missing out on the silliest, happiest, most rambunctious baby ever who provides unconditional love and constant laughs. Love this little cat, and forever thankful to Juli and Marla for picking me to be his mom.

Easy adoption process and such a wonderful kitten weve added to our family!

I drove 4 hours just to get my sweet little kitty (Splendor! now known as Splenda) and the people were awesome!

I would give them 0 stars if possible. We were adopting a pair of sibling kittens. One was correct but for the other, they gave us the wrong sibling kitten from the same litter ~ mixed them up with another family. The kittens look very different so the other family clearly knew they were presented with the wrong (better) kitten then took (stole) the kitten anyway. RnR refuses to take responsibly for their error. They will not hold the other happy family to their signed contract for adoption of the kitten they originally agreed to adopt but we ending up with it instead. Nor will they honor their contract with us to adopt our originally selected kittens. Adopting a pair of sibling kittens has been something weve looked forward to for months and was to be a joyous experience after we mourned the passing of our old cat last fall. RnR has ruined the whole experience. Thanks RnR. Oh, and to top it off, the kittens we received were sick. So we had to take them to urgent care to get them antibiotics, eye drops, etc. Mistakes do happen. But when they do, you fix them, not say the other family is happy with (our) kitten so its okay that they knowingly stole it.

Julie is an amazing person and she has been rescuing for several years now. I have known her since 2017. She is thorough and reliable. The rescue takes their job very seriously and they work endless hours to find the right match for the cats.

It was extremely easy. The original cat we were interested in was allocated for someone else and Juli suggested another cat originally named Warrick (renamed Flerken). He’s an absolute beauty. It will be four years this March and we could not be happier. Flerken knows he’s my cat - snuggles, grooming and yes love bites. Rock n rescue really made a great match for us.

Rock n Rescue was able to take first time cat owners and pair us up with the best fitted furry friend. You took into account our needs, experience, circumstances and environment and immediately knew which cat best fit our needs and which cat would be happiest in our home. You did this, not only once, but twice and now we have two fur babies who are our loves. They bring us so much joy. Your patience and support went above and beyond. I always recommend Rock n Rescue to those who are thinking of adopting.

I love this place, the responded right away to my inquiry and take a lot of steps to make sure the animal is going to a good home. I adopted two wonderful cats who came with almost all their shots (they needed a booster at a later time) and already spayed/ neutered. they also included a packet for each cat with specific care instructions, tips, and even coupons for pet needs. The location is also really clean and the staff are friendly and let you spend time with the pets before you decide to take them home. Would def recommend!

Adopting my kitten Tangy (previously named Firefly) through Rock N Rescue was the best decision I have ever made. These ladies are so organized and professional, giving us a folder full of medical records and information on our kitten. When we picked her up, she was already microchipped, spayed, and started her first doses of kitten vaccines. Even my vet was very impressed! They also gave me a tube of probiotics to give our kitten to help boost her immunity while transitioning to her new home. So thankful for Rock N Rescue!

I was impressed that the guinea pigs I adopted had a vet visit shortly before, and even more impressed that the records were sent to me. This assured me they were in good health and a great addition to our family. It was obvious when I picked them up how well they had been treated, and the staff member who delivered them to me let me have some time to interact with them so I could be sure I wanted to complete the adoption. They then provided me with an open chat so I could ask any questions. I drove over 2 hours from Western Mass to get my girls and it was time well spent.

When you adopt a kitten, you expect the kitten to be heatlthy. That’s what we had expected when adopting from Rock n’ Rescue. Instead, we were given a kitten that had conjunctivitis and were not made aware of her condition by the rescue despite the fact that they had to have seen her when they handed her off to us. Not only did they give us a sick kitten, they also denied any knowledge and responsibility when we asked them about it. They told us they hadn’t noticed anything was wrong when they gave her to us, which would not have been possible because her eyes had complied large piles of yellow green discharge. Her eyes were also red and very squinted, which was something we had noticed later on. We didn’t think too much of the eye boogers because our existing cat gets them occasionally and cause her no issues, so we just gently wipe them away. They told us not to worry about the kitten and it would go away in a few days. Less than 24 hours later, we came home from work to see her eyes was crusted shut. She could not open her eyes anymore because of the discharge. We cleaned her up and took her to the vet and it turns out she had conjunctivitis. We are unsure why they gave us a sick kitten, or why they denied any responsibility for it when asked. It’s very shady. So, if you’re adopting from Rock n’ Rescue, make sure the kitten is healthy before you adopt them. Because after the adoption is complete, they are no longer responsible for the kitten’s condition. So even if they were sick when you adopted them, it falls on you to beat the cost of the vet visit, even if they knew she was sick and lied to you about it. Incredibly unprofessional behavior. We thought they would be a lot more reliable because of how well organized the adoption and vaccines were. So just be careful and aware of typical signs of sickness before adopting.

I cant say enough good things about RnR! From the beginning, the coordinators were on top of communications and were very thorough with details. I really appreciated having a group chat via text with the program coordinators leading up to the adoption. They also welcome continued conversation should I have any questions or concerns post-adoption. I love that RnR takes a vested interest in each pet, over the course of their lives.My Grey is very healthy and well taken care of. Now he has a fur-ever home ❤️

It started with a Facebook message asking if they could help me find a kitten for my granddaughter with some special needs. Juli responded with absolutely I will help. Picked up Jamie and Wendy from in November of 2021, we nevea delt with adoption on line but it was a worthwhile experience. They both grew up as ❤️ loving adorable, and adjusted easily. They love to eat and enjoy playing on the cat gym. They like to sleep in their beds with us at night. They quickly adjusted to their surroundings, Wendy likes to wake my wife up in the morning by licking snd sneezing in her face. During the day they sit with us on the couch watching TV. Very pleased with the adoption process. If Jamie and Wendy were able to speak, they would agree.

My family and I had an amazing experience adopting our dog through Rock n Rescue. The organizers and volunteers were prompt to respond to our inquiry, communicated clearly about their process, and kept us updated since transport was delayed due to inclement weather. The support that Rock n Rescue provides, even after the adoption is complete, is tremendous! Rock n Rescue is so easy to work with. They were so responsive to our familys need of a kitten. We did adopt a beauty, who was great with the youngest who is 4! This kitten was such a love bug. She came spade and microchipped. She was socialized so well she fit right in our home and family. Rock n rescue checked in after adoption to see how we all were doing. Our little kitty ended up passing away due to a virus that was no fault of rock n rescue or us. I contacted Rock n rescue to share the loss and received such an empathic response. Rock n rescue also agreed to supply a new kitten when we were ready to take on a new kitten free of charge. My experience with other rescue services and aspca werent nearly as good as with rock n rescue. If you are looking for a family pet this is the place to look.

Weve adopted 2 cats through rock n rescue. The process was great and straightforward. When we came back for our 2nd cat they suggested a cat for us that they thought would be a good match for our first cat. Both cats, Wobbles and Gizmo, are absolute loves and so sweet. I got both my feline babies at this place and I LOVE THEM! So sweet and caring and they leave you WELL equipped for fur parenthood if you’re new (like I was!). Very rude staff acted as if they knew absolutely everything about the cat I currently own. They made up “illnesses” that my cat supposedly would have due to him being a rescue that can harm other cats.

I adopted my two kittens (Sammy and Sampson) in April and it was an easy adjustment for both of them. I believe it was due to the fact that they were so well taken care of and received lots of love and attention! Communication with both Marla and Juli was great! Especially the first couple of days, which was a change for both my kittens and myself. I would definitely recommend this rescue organization to anyone, even if you live outside of New York…I drove all the way from Northern VA. Thanks again!

0 stars. I only selected 1 star to allow me to post: I filled out an application to adopt a cat and the agency responded to my application that I took the time to fill out. They asked me about the cat going outdoors and I explained that we allow our pets to go outside in our yard and explore. They then replied back so rudely with the response “our cats are strictly indoor cats” and denied my application - just like that! As far as I am concerned, they did not even reach out to my vet to make sure we were good pet owners. Nowhere in the ad did it mention that their cats are strictly indoor - I also feel that once I adopt, I can raise how we choose to. The cat that I was interested in just lost out on a great family that would have loved it and provided a wonderful home to her.Shame on this adoption agency.

They had me at hello. From the very first phone call I was met with professionalism and kindness My numerous questions/ concerns were addressed with patience. I got cold feet and canceled and then changed my mind twenty fours later. Luckily the kittens I had fallen in love with were still available. I was welcomed back in a non-judgmental way.My partner and I picked the kittens up one evening last July. They were well-cared for and attached to us without missing a beat If we were to adopt again we would be heading right back to Rock n Rescue. They rock !!

Loved it. Application was approved quickly even though they had just been delivered a surprise massive quantity of cats/kittens needing homes asap during the pandemic, my kitten is healthy, they matched personalities to my family and keep in contact even 8 months later. I will only go to this rescue. I like that even though they primarily rescue cats, they will not turn down a pup in need! Well-oiled machine they have at work and are truly devoted. We love our Smudge (Annie)!

We have adopted twice with RnR, 4 kittens total and we cannot say enough good things about our experience!! Beyond helpful, made themselves available for any and all questions. Rock n Rescue went above and beyond in helping us get our adorable and much loved Guinea Pigs. They even found the right gender for us . They are efficient , generous & even provided us with a carrier case to transport guinea pigs home and printed out instructions on their care. I adopted a kitten on October 16th, the process was very smooth and we love our new addition! I will say though that the kitten had an upper respiratory infection which had to be treated, in all fairness they did tell me to keep an eye on her for that. But she also had ringworm which was not mentioned.

We were looking to adopt a kitten but were offered a bonded pair...Avery and Aiden (now Smokey & Binx) I wasn’t familiar with the idea of bonded cats and momentarily thought it was a way for rescues to free up more space. I couldn’t have been more incorrect. From the moment these two stepped into our home, I knew they had to stay together. They are inseparable clowns and it’s been wonderfully therapeutic for the entire family! My interaction with this rescues staff was great and I would highly recommend them .

I adopted 2 kittens off of this website. I didnt get to meet the kittens before I adopted them due to covid restrictions. When brought them to the vet the vet said they were adopted too young and hadnt finished their kitten vaccines or their worm meds. We worked through some belly issues and now they are healthy happy kitties. Covid made this whole interaction a bit sour.

What a smooth and easy process - from application to adoption! We adopted two beautiful kittens from Rock n Rescue; Nala (Affogato) and Zoey (Espresso). They are super cuddly sisters who warmed right up to us and our home. I could not be happier with the temperament of these two! Communication with Rock n Rescue was wonderful and pick up process seamless. We were provided with time to meet our babies before officially deciding to take them home. All documentation from previous vet visits was clear and concise. Would 100% recommend to family and friends.

DO NOT ADOPT! THE ANIMALS ARE NOT CARED FOR!I had a HORRIBLE experience recently Rock N Rescue based in South Salem, NY. I have evidence the animal was neglected in their care and with the home they are in now. This care may seem dismissable to some, but I feel I was pressured to believe the dog was perfectly healthy despite the limited evidence I was given. In the last stages of fostering to adopt the dog I was given limited Vet information from the rescue. I had learned from this paperwork, not the rescue team, that the dog was missing a vaccine and was being treated for Heartworm. This was not discussed with me and the rescue assured me the dog was perfectly healthy and any lack of medical records was due to the current owner not giving them the updated records. If this organization is charging $650 mandatory donation and guarantee full vetting, why do they not have complete records? This does not excuse the missing vaccine by the way because the date of the vaccine would be before he went to his new family. They also informed me the dog had tested positive for 3 parasites in his most recent vet visit, which would be cleared up quickly with antibiotics. What kind of environment is this dog in that he first gets Heartworm, which is obviously preventable, and 3 parasites? In any case, my trust in this organization was broken, especially when they refused to release complete records until I made the trip out to South Salem to meet potentially leave with the dog. This whole experience was extremely troubling and disappointing, but left me feeling exceptionally horrible for the innocent animal involved.I can provide texts messages and emails defend all of my concerns.

I adopted my sweet Becca (now Po) back in November. The process took no longer than 3 days from when I found Po online to picking her up. She was 8 weeks old when I brought her home. Since then she’s been healthy, loving, and very active. So grateful for this organization for rescuing my girl! Would highly recommend adopting from here.

I recently adopted Sephora (now Eva) from Rock n’ Rescue and it was an amazing experience. She is an absolute angel and completed my little family. The organization was so helpful and kind! You can truly see how much they care for animals. Thank you again for my new baby!

We had an amazing experience w/ Rock N Rescue! So responsive, detailed and professional. Our application was processed in a timely manner and all of our questions were answered. Pickup was a breezer - well organized, structured and SAFE for all involved - people and cats! The descriptions of the cats we adopted were spot on. Our vet was impressed with the condition of the cats along with the medical records we received on adoption day. Gyoza and Dashi have been welcome additions to our home. I got two beautiful kittens from Rock n Rescue in September, but the entire process was an absolute mess. The adoption fee I was told would cover vaccinations and the neuter, but they never had an availability to do the next round of vaccinations, so I had to restart and pay for them myself. It was extremely difficult to schedule the neutering for the kittens, and when I did and left with them, they tried to go back on saying that the adoption fee covered the neuter until I showed they had already agreed to that. I also asked for my kittens medical records multiple times to be mailed over the course of a month, and they said they mailed it and to keep waiting. I could not see a vet until I had these records, which I needed to see as the kittens had worms. Eventually, I gave up on receiving them, so I needed to pay for another physical to create new medical records with my vet. They then emailed me incorrect medical records with inaccuracies on it after this. The medical records then arrived at my house at the end of December, dated to have been mailed out the 23rd.Adorable kittens, wouldn’t trade having adopted these guys for anything, but no kitten owner should have to pay this exorbitant amount of money due to a shelter on sending you important information

One of the best experiences with a rescue organization Ive ever had and couldnt be more in love with Yan Yan, now Monroe. Shes amazing & has gone to the nursing home with me as a therapy pet and melted their hearts like she does mine. You also are very informative, responsive & helpful. I reached out to adopt a kitten from Rock N Rescue over the past couple of days. Firstly the woman in charge did not seem to understand what I was looking for and than tried to push a cat on me I was not sure about. I was also not allowed to meet the cat to aee if it was a fit:Secondly she wanted amd adoption fee of $400.00. I find this to be an extremely insane fee considering you can purchase pure bred kittens for that price. This was an adult cat.To top it off she somehow reached out to my vet and got my other animals personal health records and than criticized me for a choice we made to help save our cat from further pain in the future. Ahe also violated ALL HIPAA laws when doing so as I NEVER gave her permission to get those files or information about my pets.TERRIBLE RESCUE. Go somewhere else.So in response, you received information wothout my permission. I neversigned off on that. And there were medical reasons for our decisions. Please do yourself a favor and learn how to be a reputable adoption agency.

I lost my beloved cat very suddenly when he was 9 years old in 2020. I moved out of my parents house and was finally ready for another cat about a year later. I found RnR on pet finder, and saw a beautiful male snow shoe cat named Lyle. Well he is now Obi and he is the best thing to ever happen to me. The adoption process was smooth and easy. The staff were professional and pleasant. I do plan on adopting another cat from them someday. Thank you Rock n Rescue!

I felt that Marla and Juli were fabulous with the intake application process and placing Cinder (now Montgomery - AKA Monty) with my daughter Sarah. It was truly a blessing of who saved who. Perfect therapy cat and follows her like a puppy. So happy we drove from Massachusetts to New York and woulddo it again!!!

Rock n Rescue did an amazing job despite challenges of the pandemic in December 2020. My kitten (now named Quincy Firecat) and I had our meet and greet in my car. Love at first sight! We will be celebrating his first birthday 31 August. (btw - he fit in purrfectly with my older cats)

Ive adopted twice from Rock N Rescue and both experiences were great. My first kitten, Lucius, has become the love of my life. He is healthy and relaxed and just a lovebug for the past 3 years. Earlier this year I adopted Luna, and the rescue was great about helping me find a good match for Lucius and my lifestyle. Luna is just the cutest furball and her and Lucius bonded almost immediately. I would adopt from Rock N Rescue again in a heartbeat!

We had such an amazing experience! It was a smooth and exciting process adopting Betty (formerly Neptune) even during COVID and needing to pick her up curbside. We felt there was clear communication beforehand and during the process regarding her medical records, etc. We cant thank Rock n Rescue enough for bringing Betty into our lives and for all they do. My new kitty, Olivia, aka Moxie came to me this winter from RocknRescue. She is beautiful and it was mutual instant love. She had come from Kentucky the day of the tornado to RocknRescue, I picked her up in New York State and brought her home. She went under the couch for 15 minutes and then jumped up on my lap and kept purring.She developed an allergy and Marla was there offering suggestions until a solution was found. I highly recommend RocknRescue to anyone looking to rescue an animal.

This place is the best place To adopt, I adopted my cat Oliver. When you cant hear she is the best cat in the world. I love him so much best personality. These people take such care of the animals and help. You find exactly what youre looking for. They are very kind and they love the animals and they love you makinghting homes for the animals. Only animals are very well capped and and I will definitely be talking them again one dacg v þt OK bxy.

I’m sorry but there is nothing non profit or humanitarian about charging so much $ for 2 cats. There are so many poor animals suffering in shelters because rotten people like these want to make it cost so much to adopt. Clearly this is an ALL profit organization and i can only imagine how they treat their animals with that being the case.

Our experience with Rock n’ Rescue was wonderful! I received great information about the available kittens and was paired with our perfect match! They then checked in on us after adoption and answered any questions. It is clear they truly love the animals! We are blessed to have Smokey in our family—a new best friend! The adoption process was great but once I started having issues with my cat attacking my children and reached out to the group chat I was threatened by one of the reps through text and harassed everyday because I was not able to reply fast enough for them. For that reason I would never recommend your facility nor do business with you in the future. Horrible approach at customer service.

A wonderful experience all around and the 2 kittens we adopted are just adorable and as friendly as can be! Would certainly go to them first if we decide to adopt again.
