Fine Animal Hospital

I adopted a senior cat at the SPCA last month and brought her to Fine Animal Hospital for a checkup. Dr. H. was thorough and answered all my questions. I would recommend this vet practice.

We had our 2 very anxious dogs and 3 cats taken care of here. We had a great experience every time. Our dogs stayed here when we went on vacation and even though they were both anxious they enjoyed staying here.The vets never pushed me to pay for anything that wasn’t medically necessary. They always showed compassion and care. I cannot say the same for any other vet clinics in the area and we tried most of those before coming here!

I have 2 dogs and we have needed them for both routine and emergency visits. The vets and staff at Fine Animal Hospital are amazing. Smart, knowledgeable, responsive, and caring. I would give them 10 stars if it were an option.

Dr. Dan is a wonderful vet and the people who work at Fine Animal Hospital are all kind, patient and helpful. My cat is a former feral, 1 year anniversary and Dr. Dan got him to come out of cat carrier and allowed him to get used to the idea of being in the room before beginning the exam. The video is post exam. I have had multiple pets taking care of a Dr Dan.

Everyone who works at Fine Animal Hospital seems to really want to be there. That positive energy sets a tone of confidence when I bring my dog in. They treat each animal with care and kindness. The doctors (Dr Dan is ours) are incredibly responsive, smart, and they take the time to explain options and costs in advance. You can be confident that they will get back to you as needed. Definitely one of the best animal hospitals in Westchester.

My dog is incredibly timid and scared due to being a rescue. Dr. Honovich is great with her! He sits down on the floor of the exam room and calmly pets her while hes doing the exam. And the ladies at the front desk are always very nice and patient.

It was a pleasure speaking to the office and arranging my appointment for my dog. The process was easy and friendly. When I arrived I was immediately met and the Dr. spent so much time explaining everything to me and answering all my questions. It is a warm and efficient office, a refreshing change from the impersonal atmosphere of so many practices these days.

Truly amazing experience! Everyone is the office is really nice and very helpful. The office is extremely clean and well laid out. Our dog is huge and can very intimidating, they were perfect with him. Overall best vet experience ever. We love our dog with all our heart and if you love your pet, this is the place for you.

Dr fox excellent diagnostician he identified issues for my dogs due to knowledge and experience. Effective treatments recommended which work he is on top of the latest research and only recommends truly needed testing

Weve been sending all of our animals ( multiple cats and dogs) to Fine Animal Hospital for over 20 years and have been very happy with the care and medical attention that our fur babies are given. Dr. Fox is our primary Vet and he is very caring person who truly cares about his patients as well a being a great communicator with us. He always gives us thorough explanations until we understand exactly what the situations are during and after our visits. The follow up care is also fantastic, someone always checks in with us the day after any procedure to make sure things are well and if we have any concerns. I highly recommend Fine Animal Hospital!!!!

Our 2 rescue kittens needed their 1st physical, and shots. We chose Fine Animal Hospital because of all the wonderful reviews. They were more than what we could hope for! made sure all the animals, and people, wouldnt come into contact with anyone but the doctors. I love Fine Animal hospital! They are caring and always address my concerns with both my dogs. They follow up the next day to check in on how my pet is doing if the previous days visit was an emergency. Dr Dan and Dr Fox are the most caring and such pros! The staff is kind and helpful. Ive been a loyal customer of Fine Animal Hospital for over 20 years, and I have to say that Im extremely disappointed and disgusted with their response to an emergency situation with my 15-year-old dog. Let me start by saying I have not, in 20 years, complained, and I attempted to resolve this by speaking to the vet directly but had no response.A few weeks ago, my 15-year-old dog briefly went unconscious and limp overnight. I spoke with Maria at 8 am and again at 8:30 am, who was far from accommodating. While I understand it is not always possible to squeeze an appointment in, rather than offering to attempt to connect me to the vet on call, I was told to find an emergency room. I was appalled at her callousness towards a loyal customer of 20+ years - I was in Manhattan and willing to drive the distance. But it was apparent that loyalty and care for their customers is not reciprocated.Its no surprise that my daughters vet was willing to see him right away, given the emergency, without any prior relationship with him.Probably the most significant disappointment was that the vet office that saw my dog for the entirety of his 15 years didnt follow up to see what was wrong with him. Even worse, I left two messages for Dr. Hanovich regarding follow-up care and he never returned my calls.It saddens me to write this review as it could have been resolved at several points. I just wanted to share my story in case anyone else considers using Fine Animal Hospital. Like many others, my dog is family, and I want him to have the best possible care. Given this response to a situation when I needed my vet the most, I would highly recommend going elsewhere. In any event, I did, and the quality of care makes Fine Animal Hospital look like a factory. My dog was able to get testing right away and is now under excellent care.

I highly recommend Dr. Honovich and the staff at Fine Animal Hospital! I scheduled a routine visit for my 6 1/2 year old male Pitbull. I was a little worried because my dog hadnt had a vet appointment since his old vet retired just before COVID; however, there wasnt any reason to worry because Dr. Honovich and his Vet Tech were absolutely amazing. Not only were they thorough in their examination and in answering my questions, they were also so compassionate. It was really very wonderful to see Dr. Honovich (or Dr. Dan as he asks you to call him) and his Vet Tech team up to gently and calmy draw blood from my dogs front leg and to clip his nails. I say this because my dog really dislikes it when anyone tries to hold his paws or clip his nails; my dog actually pulls his paws away and cries out loud. At first he pulled and cried when they tried but as Dr. Dan and his Vet Tech spoke to him in a sweet kind voice my dog relaxed and allowed them to clip his nails. Dr. Dan also had a way of holding my dog that kept him from moving but at he same time his hold was very comforting. I was amazed! As I said in the beginning I highly recommend Dr. Honovich and the staff and Fine Animal Hospital. They were highly recommended to me by a family friend.

The Doctors and staff have been taking care of my cat and dog for many years. Very responsive to my concerns. Always able to get an emergency appointment. Recently my 17 year old cat had to be euthanized. My daughter and I were given quiet time to be with him before and after the procedure. Greatly appreciated. My soon to be 14 year old dog just had dental cleaning and extractions. Dr. Fox went over health concerns and the procedure with me in detail. Highly recommend Fine Animal Hospital!

I am beyond thrilled that I finally took my dog to Fine Animal Hospital! Dr. Dan was able to examine my dog’s painfully infected ears with expertise and care, something my previous vet avoided because I have a large breed dog that is intimidating. Dr. Dan and the practice understood how my dog communicates and how to interact with him, which allowed my dog to get the fullest care and treatment. I am only sorry I didn’t switch to Fine years ago. Plus, they even called the next day to see how my dog is doing. This is a great facility with great skilled care.

We’ve been bringing our Lab to Fine Animal Hospital for almost 9 years - since he was a puppy - and they have been wonderful. I credit them with saving our dog’s life when he had a horrible allergic reaction to the food we were feeding him. The staff are all knowledgeable and kind, and I never have a problem getting an appointment. This is the third vet we’ve tried in the area and we will stick with them. The other vets we’ve used don’t come close.

Excellent care and a warm and caring staff! Dr. Fox arranged for me and my children to come in and spend time each day with our cat who was in critical condition. We werent sure if he would make it, but with the great care he received he made a miraculous recovery! It has been a scary process learning all about giving our cat insulin twice a day and monitoring his sugar levels. Dr. Fox has been extremely patient in explaining how to take care of a diabetic cat. We are so grateful to everyone at the Fine Animal Hospital!

Ive brought my pets to Fine Animal Hospital for many years. They are a wonderful group of people who clearly care about their patients. Dr. Honovich is a caring and thoughtful veterinarian. He discusses each part of the examination while he conducts it, answers all my questions, and always follows up. He provides great care to my cat and has successfully treated the most puzzling symptoms. Im so grateful to the entire Fine Animal Hospital team for everything theyve done for all my animals over the years.

I dont have any pets but I work for someone with many and I also know family members that use Fine Animal Hospital. I am there every week to bring dogs for treatment and they have consistently provided wonderful service to the animals. It is evident that the staff genuinely care about the animals as well as their health. The hours are great and the accessibility when needing an answer is also great. If I do ever have a pet of my own, I would bring them here in a heartbeat. Id say its the best animal hospital around, after having dealt with others in the area.

We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful practice! The staff are always very professional, accommodating and are warm individuals. The doctors have a wealth of knowledge, take the time to do thorough exams and give explanations. Our dog actually looks forward to entering their building and is treated very well. This is a LONG overdue review for Fine Animal Hospital... I used this office for my yorkie Bentley for almost 14 years. He had some complications along the way (which included surgery, etc.) and I could not have asked for BETTER vets than Dr. Fox and Dr. Honovich. With my care along side the routine care and support of these vets, I believe my dog was able to live his longest and best life. And when his time came to be put down as he ended up having heart failure and no longer had a quality of life in his old age, Dr. Fox genuinely cared for my dog. If did not move to Delaware, I would continue to use this office for my recently adopted lab mix. I HIGHLY recommend Fine Animal Hospital for the care of your furry and some not so furry family members. THANK YOU!

Dr Dan really has gone above and beyond to care for our very anxious Pitty. He really takes his time to socialize with the dog and family. Every office visit takes as long as the family and pet needs. Questions answered, recommendations made and the end result is great. Our wonderful Abbie has had several surgeries at Fine Hosp and we were so pleased with the staff and Veterinarians. Dr Fox and Dr Dan are wonderful Vets and we highly recommend this practice.

The veterinarians are very caring and patient and helpful. Dr. Honovitch is the one we go to and he is very gentle with my cats. He takes time to answer our questions and is very kind. We have been using Fine Animal Hospital for all veterinary checkups and needs for decades and they have always been responsive and capable.

The staff of Fine Animal Hospital is top-notch above the rest! I have been taking my cats and other critters to Dr. Fox for many many years. Although he is 40 minutes drive from where I live, he is worth his weight in gold. He is a master diagnostician, figuring out exactly what is going on with each of my animals. He is an expert in internal medicine and diseases. Not only that, he truly loves animals, and always shows it. He is one of the most compassionate people I know. He has been my Veterinarian for many years. Also, the people who work with him are dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring. Dr. Fox also has an amazing sense of humor. He never recommends unnecessary procedures, like a few other vets. He is very honest and will find easy solutions before going on to more complicated matters.Another thing, you never have twenty people in the waiting room, so your animal is relaxed. He has a very large waiting room, so if you have cats, they do not have to be near the dogs that come in. I love dogs, but he has separate areas for each, making it less stressful for them. Each staff member is friendly, courteous, and shows concern about your animal. Many of his staff has been with him for years, which tells you that they also enjoy their work environment. They have a very nice kennel staff, who take good care of the animals, like their own pets.People travel from Long Island to see Dr. Fox, so you know he is the best! I have always been 110% satisfied with the outcome. Since I do rescue work, I encounter many unusual circumstances, and Dr. Fox has been very supportive with each one of my animals. If you have an emergency, hell even calls you at 1:30am. If you have an animal that needs overnight care, he has dedicated and knowledgeable staff members stay all night giving your animal the attention it needs. He saved my cats life because of the care they provided. Give him a try, you will see why he is an exceptional Vet and human being. He also has a great collection of animal ties, which is fun for the kids to see. Worth the trip!.

Fine Animal hospital has been a great place to bring both our cat and dog. Dr. Fox really takes the time to thoroughly explain issues to us, and we always walk away feeling our pets are well taken care of. Now with the addition of Dr. Honovitch, it has made an already great animal hospital even better. Dr. Honovitch has a wonderful, calm disposition that puts us (and our pets) at ease. My wife and I especially enjoy the Pet Portal email system they have in place that helps remind us when we are due for vaccines or other pet care. It is a nice easy way to have access to the care of our animals. We have needed our dog to board there a couple of times and the kennel staff has treated him well. Its nice to have a dog happy to go stay somewhere when need be. We feel lucky to have our pets well cared for.

We have been taking our pets to Fine Animal Hospital for over 10 years. From puppyhood, a cat with food allergies, dental cleanings, cancer surgery and a young boy concerned about his gerbil, to the very last moment of our dogs life, Dr. Fox, his wife Maritza and their staff have been professional, knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate. They take the time to answer all your questions and to help guide you in making difficult decisions. You leave feeling that both you and your pet have been well cared for.

The people are great and both vets are wonderful. The only downside is that they still dont let you in since covid for the office visit, although Dr. Honovich does see people along with the pets certain days/times of the week. It would be nice if they allowed that for all appointments.

Thank you for saving Godot! Dr. Fox made it a personal mission to save my cat after a horrible fall, and my cat lived for an additional 4 years. When my cat then developed an aggressive cancer, he recommended putting him down. I knew he had my cats best interest in mind. It feels great to trust your vet! All three doctors are amazing! Theyve diagnoses my dog with hyperthyroidism just by observing and listening to her story.

FAH has always taken exceptional care of my cats at all visits. So warm and friendly, the vets are always willing to explain every detail of the visit and suggest options for care at several price points, which I certainly appreciate. Highly recommend!

Recently my yellow lab was having major indigestion issues. Dr. Dan and his team took excellent care of my girl, and really worked hard to figure out what was going on, and how to treat her. She’s 100% back to her self and happy! We are thrilled! Thanks for all you and your team do! We really appreciate it.

My dog suffered her first seizure and I was hysterical. I live in Jersey but have my dog at school with me in New York. Being that our regular vet is about an hour away I rushed her to the closest vet possible which happened to be this establishment! They let me know on the phone that theyre not an emergency vet but assured they would do everything to help. I arrived right when the office was going to close for the night and the staff stayed an extra two hours to do a full examination and run tests. The support staff were all so helpful, understanding and accommodating and the doctor gave me a very thorough rundown of everything he found in her examination. Everyone there is just so pleasant, helpful and informative. I appreciate what they did for me more than I can put into words and would definitely recommend!

Fine Animal Hospital is about doing whats best for Fine Animal Hospital. The vets do not present viable and effective solutions to issues. They overcharge and underperform.They fat-shame as well.Additionally, theyre currently still adhering to a policy that forbids the pet owner--yes, even the fully vaccinated and masked pet owner--from accompanying their beloved pets into the building. That made sense in 2020. In late 2021, its cruel, unnecessary, and selfish.No pet of ours will ever be treated there again.

A special thanks to Dr. Dan and the team for doing a phenomenal job taking care of our wounded cat! Your knowledge, warmth, and compassion is unprecedented!

My dog and I love Fine Animal Hospital. Dr Fox and Dr Hanavich take their time to answer all questions and they love my dog. I do wish they would return to in person visits but it wouldn’t make be go anywhere else. Pricing is great too

Fine Animal Hospital has been our vet for various dogs and cats since 1999. The vets and staff there are always on top of our dog and cat pet conditions and needs. You couldnt ask for better vet care.

Hi I am writting this review to share how wonderful Dr. Honovich was to me and my cat Tabitha last week. It seems my cat might have come down with a cold or allergies, she started coughing n sneezing and you could hear her breathing coming down the hall. Dr Honovich had seen Tabitha in the Fall and perscribed some nose drops for her with another issue she had. I called Fine Animal Hospital and Dr. Honovich had left for the day. When receiving my email asking for help and advice he didnt just email me back, he also called ASAP. It was the kind of service you want when your animal is sick and you feel helpless. He told me to try the Nose drops and to bring her in the next morning. The Next day I was so happy to see Tabitha had improved 90%. When I call Fine Animal Hospital to tell them, They put Dr. Honovich on the phone right away and he agreed to wait a few days to see if the Nose drops would be all she needed. I dont know of many other vets that would not demand to see her, but instead was happy to just hear she had improved tremendously. Most other place I have been to would of cared more about the visit fee, then to provide help for free, and care little about the money and more of the animal. This Vet is the example for all animal hospitals and the way it should be. I am on a very tight budget, like everyone today, but my animals care always comes first. But it was such a relief to know that the Dr. was only a phone call away even after hours, and his medical advice did the trick. Tabitha is a Healthy Cat and I can not say more wonderful things about Dr. Honovich. I am so glad he has joined Dr. Fox and his team and Fine Animal Hospital.

Intro appointment for our new puppy. We were pleased to see staff thoroughly engaging covid preparedness measures, including a process calling for pet owners to remain in their cars while tech and admin staff came out to collect paperwork and to take your pet inside. Everyone we interacted with was very pleasant, with Shannon being a standout for making us feel so welcomed. While waiting in the car, we received an update call from Dr. Fox who patiently answered all of our questions and who couldnt have been more helpful. Shortly thereafter, our happy pet was returned to us.

Everyone is so friendly and they truly care for your pets as if it was their own. Wouldnt go anywhere else for my dogs medical needs

Ive been bringing my dogs to Fine Animal Hospital since 2002 and have always been very pleased with the entire experience. The professional staff are caring and are up to date on how to best treat conditions and emergencies. Everyone there knows my dog and knows how best to handle her.

Spent six weeks trying to understand what was wrong with my dog. Returned to my vet 4 times and went to an emergency clinic. They had no answers. Went to Dr. Fox yesterday and he immediately noticed what was making my dog uncomfortable and treated her. She’s more comfortable than she’s been for a long time. Thank you Dr. Fox.

Fine Animal Hospital is the best place around. Dr. Dan and his staff are superb. They always go above and beyond.

Dr. Fox and the entire staff at Fine were amazing in the care of Vinny our rescue Yorkie who has a complex set of series issues. Dr Fox refused to give up on our little dog and against all odds Vinny is back home.

Such an awful experience! It is hard enough that we can’t go in with our pets , but I had to wait almost an hour past my appointment to have someone come out and get my lily. My appointment was supposed to be the first of the day , so I don’t know why I had to wait so long.Lily had an eye infection but they didn’t tell me what kind, even when I asked. They trimmed the hair around her eye and gave her a bald spot! I’m sure it bled pretty bad!I felt like it was all about money there.The dr talked to me on the phone and tried to push services. I let him give her the first part of the Lyme vaccine and she had a very bad reaction. I was not told what reactions might occur and what to look out for. The injection site blew up and she was crying in pain.😢 My dog looked so awful and was so out of it, I was scared! I was told to bring her right back. I called so someone would come out and get her. After 1/2 hr, I was fed up and decided to just go to the door and just open it and speak into the place to remind them ,without going in. I opened the door and was screamed out loudly and mean “ you can’t come in here”! It was crazy. They finally came and got her. After about 2 min, she was back and they told me they gave her a shot of Benadryl and she will get better. I took her home. At this point, It was 5:45 The injection site didn’t seem as swollen but she didn’t feel better. She didn’t eat, and she wasn’t her usual self at all. I called and left 2 messages, 4 hours apart and never got a call back! I had to wait for morning. I left a message with the receptionist. Still no call back! Finally, I called again. They couldn’t find the record of me calling. The office had so many different people answering the phone and no communication among any of them. They also never gave me a receipt or a record of what they did to lily. A few days later, when I felt better about what had happened, I called and they emailed it. The vaccine was only part one and it was almost $50. When calling around for a new vet, standard price was no more than $35. I could go on about more negative things I found about the place but I’ll stop here. Awful, awful experience and I would not go back under any circumstances!
